This place always has excellent burgers. We picked up burgers to eat at home. There's not a lot of places that keep their freshness or flavor travelling. But the burgers and fries tasted really close. They have a variety of burgers, as well as wraps, shavarma, and chicken sandwiches. As well as whatever kind of fried something potato option grabs your fancy, salads and sides. They're not expensive, and pretty much always busy. The place could use a little updating. We ordered food for delivery, even though they sounded really good we ended up without a burger, we will definitely try next time. We got a gyro, kids chicken nuggets, crispy chicken buffalo wrap and fries. Everything was great, I really liked the combo of the spicy chicken with pickles, it was different than a lot of places. This little hidden gem is consistently impressive! Olive Burger is located in a small, older strip mall but the restaurant itself is very clean and updated. We have had the house cheeseburger, gyro on pita, Philly cheesesteak and the chili burger. Honestly we haven't found one to be any more delicious than the others because all are fantastic. Service: You place your order at a small counter just inside the doorway. Large menu with descriptions located above the counter makes ordering easier. It is kind of small on the inside and usually pretty busy but worth the "scoot" to get to a table. And, the staff is always friendly! Food: The meat on each sandwich/burger is quality meat. It is fresh and has great flavor. For sides, we have had the fries, onion rings, and fried pickles. All were very tasty. They also offer a jalapeño ketchup that is really good and spicy. YUM!! The only "con" I could give here is that the fried pickles come out SUPER HOT so be careful when you bite into them. Came here today because I had to try them from all of the reviews. The exterior looks the same as it has for the years I have driven by them not knowing the jewel that awaited me inside. When I went in, the place a nicely appointed and sparkling clean. The staff was friendly and helpful and on this visit I tried the burger. My fiancé and I went to this place based off the rave reviews. When we walked in nobody greeted us which is fine but what irked me was the guy at the counter just stared us when we said hello. He was not about to greet us nor be nice. I was like ok then we will order I guess. We ordered something off the menu which I don't even recall but it was ok. It was just a plain burger and nothing I would go back for. We asked the guy behind the counter for water and he literally pointed instead of saying where it was. It was clear that he didn't enjoy his job or maybe he just didn't want to be there that day. Lack of customer service and below average food quality would prevent me from going back to this place. They also grow in less crowded conditions. That all transfers to the meat quality being good. As far as how the burger was, well I eat burgers about three times in a year at most so I don't tend to be the toughest to please when it comes to a burger since anything that satisfies that craving can be good! You'll get a frozen, ready-made pita bread with GRILLED CHICKEN STRIPS!! NOT.EVEN.JOKING!! Doner is supposed to be thin shaved meat and shiwarma is a little thicker shaved meat. In finale, it's sad to see the Muslim foody scene in Dallas so desensitized that you folks can't tell the difference between good and terrible food. There was one time when Grand Cafe was the bastion of zabihah-ness and now we see establishments such as Olive Burger and Dimassi's (generally regarded as the golden corral of buffets from Houston aka another black hole for your money) filled to the door. My friendly yelp app pointed out an "Olive Burger" that recently opened and had great reviews. We decided to check this place out. We go inside and the owners and workers are very friendly. They may be persian but they show great southern hospitality. Every burger is made to order with never frozen half pound beef. These burgers are pretty huge. We got the mushroom swiss burger with sweet potatoe fries and it honestly filled 2 adults up. The patty develops a great crust from the grill and has a nice smokey char flavor. The toppings are fresh and give the burger a nice clean taste. The sweet potatoe fries were crispy on the outside and velvety cream on the inside. Great texture. With a new menu coming up in the following weeks, Olive Burger might start to give Del's Charcoal Burger a run for it's money for best burger joint in Richardson. read more

It was hanging off the bun! Always a good thing to see. Sadly, that's where my excitement ended. The bottom bun was very soggy. So soggy it tore into pieces when I tried to pick it up. The avocado was a little on the brown side and smushed into the top bun. And the red onions, usually my favorite part of a burger, weren't even edible. I couldn't even bite through them! Gyro Combo/Plate The pita reminded me of a cracker. I tried to fold it and I ended up with 3 pieces. My meat was also overcooked. I can say that the gyro sauce was tasty. Not traditional. It tasted like mayo and sour cream mixed with pickles. Not to bad. It came with a handful and a half of lettuce? Why is there lettuce on a gyro? I don't know. It was almost like having a side salad. After craving a good burger for awhile I yelped where I could get one and Olive burger came up.. This place is small but has a lot of character. I walked in and I was greeted friendly by a worker. I told him it was I first time here and I needed a minute and graciously accepted. I eventually ordered the mushroom burger with chips and a drink. I didn't want fries because I wanted to enjoy my burger. Got my drink and chips and waited for my burger to be ready. Once I received my order I could not believe how HUGE this burger was. We were both very impressed with the generous size of the burgers. This my favorite kind of patty - thick, fresh and char-grilled. The buns were toasted with the perfect hint of crunch on the edges. The olives and sauteed onions were a juicy and tangy complement to the tasty patty and buns. The fries were also good and appeared freshly cut in-house. Other items on the menu sounded tasty, but it will be very hard for me to come here and not order the Olive Burger every time. The service was warm, welcoming and friendly. I was in the neighborhood and was craving a gyro so I gave this place a shot. It's kind of tricky if you are coming from Hwy 75. It's on the left and there is no turning lane, so turn at the light and hook around through the parking lot. It's totally worth the tricky directions. It's a small place but kind of roomy inside. It's kind of a Mediterranean burger joint, they have gyros and some chicken dishes also. The people working there were super nice and the food was terrific! Some gyros at other places are stingy with the meat, but not here. This gyro was big and stuffed with meat and veggies and it was so good! I had fries and a drink with it and it was worth every penny. It was about $12 for everything, so not a bad price. I will defiantly come back next time I'm in the neighborhood. read more

I'm wrting this review because of cleaning issue. there is a guy at front desk who takes order. he has his mask and gloves. I was eaiting for my order and he took the trash of and cleaned trash area with a yellow towel and spray. then he used same towel for cleaning tabels. after that ge did not change his gloves and touched the phone for taking order. then he touched pick up orders. still he is using the same gloves when I'm wtting this review. This place is in a run down strip mall. It looks like a mom and pop shop. Inside is spacious and clean. I got the Avocado Burger. No fries or drink (since I heard the burgers were huge) first time here. The burger IS huge. It tastes fresh also not like fast food burgers. You can taste a difference. The patty was a bit salty in some bite but overall it was good. DELICIOUS? No but YUMMY? Yes. Everything melted perfectly in my mouth. The meat was nice and tender easy to chew and the bun was soft. It was loaded with tomatoes and lettuce but wasnt sloppy! I liked that. I wish they delivered. My coworkers & I would totally order from them all the time. Loved this intimate burger joint! I purchased a grilled chicken salad with a side of sweet potato fries and my lunch companion purchased the bacon burger regular fries. The chicken on the salad was moist and tender and very well seasoned! I loved it and can't wait to eat it again. The dressing on the side was unnecessary with the flavor of the chicken. The sweet potato fries were unfortunately finished with sugar but add a bit of salt and they were perfect. The jalapeño ketchup was intense but an excellent combination for the fries. The bacon burger was juicy and flavorful with thick bacon slices cooked perfectly. I didn't try the regular fries but they looked great. My companion said the gyros are equally tasty! This is definitely "must come back and try more" restaurant and worth the drive to Richardson! read more

I can't ask for much more. They also remodeled this location recently (Summer of 2018) to make more space. I haven't seen it finished yet but the old set up was clean and and well kept. For lunch today, I wanted to try something new with a less adventurous coworker. As usual, I pulled up the Yelp! app on my phone, searched "lunch" and filtered it by price and distance, and sorted based on the average rating. I decided we should try out the very first place on the list: Olive Burger in Richardson. I found the PDF of their menu, we decided to split the Philly Cheesesteak sandwich and onion rings, and we called ahead so it would be ready when we arrived. When we got there, they split the bill for us 50/50 with ease ($7 each with drinks), split the food and put it in individual baskets without us even having to ask, and we sat down at a cozy table in the corner. It's a cute little kind of hole-in-the-wall with a small-town feel right in the suburbs. And they played John Mayer and Jack Johnson, so their music was right up my alley (don't even judge me, hipsters). The first thing I noticed was how good the bread was on this sandwich. Like, crusty and buttery and soft, all at once. Plenty of meat/mushrooms/onions/peppers and really good cheese. And the onion rings are some of the best I've had. Battered, not breaded. Crisp enough that when you take a bite, it comes off cleanly rather than the usual experience where you try to take a bite, but the onion doesn't quite come apart so it all comes out of the breading and you have to eat a mouthful of plain onion while the breading falls apart in your hand. I hate that. This was not like that. The sandwich and onion rings were plenty for the two of us, and we both were stuffed afterward. The place was pretty clean and there was space when we got there at noon on a Friday, but the tables all filled up by the time we finished. Top-notch service, food, and cleanliness. It was my first time visiting this burger place after reading about the raves of this restaurant. And I cant lie, but this place is worth every single dollar. The chicken was SO flavorful and a good amount of spicy, that too without asking! The fries and tots were crisp to perfection, which I ate with their jalapeño ketchup (yummy). On top of that o had brought half my sandwich home and at it the next day, all the juices from the chicken were soaked up into the bread, and it was literally one of the greatest bites of food I had taken, even then my sandwich maintained its crispness (not soggy). Oh my God! You have to have the burgers here. They're made fresh and with burgers, if you don't eat it right away, the buns bet soggy and you can't taste each ingredient on its own. It's a small place in Richardson with about 20 seats inside. We got the house burger and cheese burger and they were both amazing. They will cut it in half for you if you want to. I also ended up ordering their chili cheese fries, this can be shared with a few people for sure but the richness of the chili is countered by the white sauce that is served with it. Also, they have their own jalapeno ketchup, it is spicy but so good! Their condiment station is great, I'll post the picture with this review. The atmosphere is ok, even though I was a bit discouraged to eat here considering the location and the tacky signs they have plastered on their door. The first thing I didnt like was how all the veggies are on the bottom. This is definitely a preference, but I ended up eating the burger upside down, since I like the moisture from the veggies to be on top. The meat itself was solid, but it wasnt amazing. It didnt moo with flavor, and the veggies and bacon did a lot of the bulk work for flavor composition. Its definitely a good size for what you pay for (I think its bigger than a regular burger island burger?) I like how all the condiments are accessible by the soda fountain, although sanitation of other customers cross my mind. Surprisingly enough, I didnt feel it was too greasy or salty. I still needed to down some water, but not as much I normally would. The Gyro was a hefty sandwich! If you are a dainty eater, you will have leftovers. I like the fact that pita bread almost has a naan like consistency. Its thick, yet fluffy. The amount they give you is ridiculous! I wish the veggies and sauce were more spread out, as they sit more on one side. This thing comes out hot and steamy. The meat has a great beef and lamb flavor that has a pretty good seasoning. This is actually a pretty good gyro, but its just so damn big. Plus I wish all the ingredients were more evenly spread. Their tots are solid. The food is being cooked up fresh right behind him. The people were just pouring in as we waited (not long) for our food. We ordered a blue cheese burger, ultimate cheeseburger, fried zucchini, sweet potato fries. I expected this piled high burger to be heavy but was strangely lightweight.
