Everything was fresh, hot, and seasoned like somebody's grandma was in the back making sure it was right. And the service?? 10/10. My server was so nice and on top of everything, I almost asked if they could come home and help me get my life together too. Between the amazing food and top-tier service, they really showed out. 2/25/26 Wife ordered take out for lunch today. Chicken Parm, and spaghetti with meat sauce. Pasta was over cooked, sauce was sparse. There was not enough sauce to cover the top of the pasta. Wife said the whole meal did not taste fresh to her. The side of spaghetti with my chicken parm had about equivalent to a tablespoon of sauce on it. Salad did not seem fresh, and for a while OG had been giving a single container of salad dressing that isn't enough to flavor the whole container of salad. I know take out isn't going to present as it would in the restaurant, but this take was lacking in several areas. Most likely our last take out from Olive Garden. read more

Great experience! Cam was our server; the best we've had in years. Excellent service. My 11 year-old said "They are very attentive here." Food was delicious, especially the stuffed ziti frittas that Cam recommended. Salad and breadsticks were replenished when low and the bill was less than $50. This particular Olive Garden is just off of Interstate 65 and was a good location both in convenience, service and for a chain restaurant, it delivered what you would expect from an Olive Garden. She ready for everything, drinks, Apps and food. We want soup, Yep. We want salad, Yelp. And, we will have the calamari and fried ravioli. Before she can get them drinks back, here's the salad, bread sticks and fries ravioli. This stuff here is good. She done forgot my soup. She brings it on with this entree. This Fagioli is my favorite, but it's bland today. On to these entrees. Bae and ma got chicken and shrimp on Angel hair. I got chicken scampi and a side of flavorless no sauce meatballs. . First let's get things that are right... Service is great. After you order, they bring out the soup or salad and breadsticks, and they will keep on bringing that as long as you like. It's probably what they do best. Your drinks are kept filled. They will literally shave off the Parmesan cheese until your salad, soup, or entree is completely covered. The servers are really nice and friendly. Ask for Emily. She will take care of you. I love this restaurant in Gardendale. I read in Facebook posts for years, people in Gdale begging for an Olive Garden. I was thinking why? Thats not even a good restaurant? Well, I think it may mean you arrived as a city. Anyway we have one here. It's a beautiful building along the interstate and it's probably brings in a nice tax revenue. But the food.... This is not Italian food. I ventured out and ordered the rigatoni with spicy three meat sauce as my entry, with salad and, of course, breadsticks. The salad was good. I had not been to an Olive Garden in years but I thought the salad was better. I could not put my finger on why it was not better, but I think it was the dressing. It was not "it"that night. The breadsticks were the highlight. They did not seem to have much of that salty garlic coating on them tonight. Excellent. The pasta was cooked properly and was fine but the meat sauce had apparently not been cooked nearly long enough. Most Italian sauce are a work of art, slowed cooked for hours. This sauce if it was even made at the restaurant, was probably just heated up to a certain temp. The tomatoes in the sauce were very acidic and not cooked long enough. Spice was good but the peppers were still firm. Meat was still in clumps again signifying it had not been cooked down enough. Emily even offered to send it back to have it cooked some more. I tried some Alfredo sauce. It was too salty and reminded me of the stuff in the jar. I can make "Italian" at home, so I think I will stick with that over Olive Garden in general. This place is great for those who love OG and do not cook pasta at home. Please come visit and spend some money. read more

I've gone a few times and always had an excellent experience. The food comes out quick and drinks are refilled before you can finish them. They even beyond willing to make accommodations for diet substitutions like putting broccoli instead of pasta for a lower carb option. Consistently wonderful experience! read more

My wife and I visited on Saturday afternoon and were underwhelmed by the experience. We waited for 5 minutes at the host stand before someone acknowledged us. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant was clean but it lacked the welcoming nature I look for in a restaurant, especially given the prices on the menu.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The payment machine also malfunctioned multiple times while trying to pay the check. Our waitress was nice but didn't visit our table between the time we were brought our food and when we asked for to-go boxes. So we just left this location a few minutes ago. Walked in and was immediately seated. Very few people in the restaurant, maybe twenty. We sat at the table for 15 minutes with nobody acknowledging our presence. Several employees walking by but nobody's looking our way so I was unable to flag anyone down. We'd had enough at the 15 minute mark and got up and walked out. The greeter immediately recognized what was happening and apologized but offered no explanation or alternatives. So, we all left and went nextdoor to LongHorn and had a nice dinner with great service. Here's the thing Olive Garden if you're listening. There's lots of options out there. It's easy for customers (4 of us) to go next door and drop $200 at LongHorn. You didn't handle this right. Keep it up and eventually you'll feel the impact. read more

The salad had way too much dressing on it towards where that was all I was tasting and then my noodles were over cooked and dry. And the waitress were yikes. I came here on Veterans Day for my free lunch. I appreciate these businesses that honor us veterans with a meal. This restaurant location did a great job in getting us in efficiently, excellent customer service and delicious food. Our server Zackery was on top of everything! We never had to wait for anything even though he had other customers. He made such an impression I spoke to the manager to mention how great Zackery was. I was told he is a new employee. First there were no lemons to be had for my water which I could overlook if it weren't for my waitress going out of her way to avoid our table and my food taking forever and the waitresses irritation at having to be bothered when we could get her attention.
