Has there been a change in management? I used to love this place, but my last visit was disappointing. Chicken Marsala and pizza fell way short of expectations. Also, I know it's hard to find help, but our waiter kept disappearing for lengths of time and wouldn't bring our requests until reminded again. This happened continually through the meal. Lot's of places to eat, I don't know when I'll be back. read more

I've been here several times recently but today took the cake! Sal is the kindest human ever and so generous! I actually did not eat there today, however needed some shade to cool off from the motorcycle and take an important phone call. I sat in the seating area outside, and he was so kind and welcoming. That goes a long way in today's crazy world. So aside from the fantastic food that is ALWAYS consistent and good and the amazing drink selection and inviting atmosphere, the owner may even serenade you with his kind smile and heart! Good food, Nice atmosphere, and Friendly staff. Ask for a special drink and Sal will hook you up. Filet- done perfectly, seafood pasta was excellent, lemon chicken in linguini and capers was terrific! Only problem is that their air conditioner needs help. A bit hot in there- broke a sweat. They brought out floor fans but it just didn't help. Otherwise- I highly recommend for a date night or otherwise nice dinner out with family and friends. When my mother passed away, I couldn't find a single place in town to have a funeral luncheon. I asked the owner, Sal, if he would be able to host us on a Saturday before they even opened. Even with this in mind, and only a two day notice, Sal welcomed us with open arms opened the restaurant for us. The food was excellent and the service was even better. I truly felt like family. I will 100% be coming back and recommending to friends. Give these people your money. They have some of the best food in Antioch and have hearts of gold. read more

This was a restaurant that some of our party had already been to. It was being talked up and I was getting quite antsy. We were greeted upon entry and promptly seated. It was relatively empty when we arrived so we got our order in fast as more people began to show up. Allison was a joy as our server. Answered all of our questions and followed up with the kitchen with dietary questions. The sauces were the real selling point for me. I've had bolognese sauce before but, WOW this one was fantastic. All sauces in each dish were enjoyed. Blended well with each noodle. The manager was very friendly and he handled some minor difficulty one of our guests had with some confusion of what she thought she ordered. It definitely came off that he and his co-workers get quite a bit of returning customers some the awesome food and marvelous service. Would love to come back, maybe a Christmas time visit??!!! read more

My son and I ate at Oliverii North last evening, St Patrick's Day, 2022. We initially thought that it might be busy, but it was still early enough (and on a weekday) for it to accessible to sit right away. I and my family have been there a handful of times over the years & their dishes have never disappointed. The same was true last evening. I had the lasagna while my son had a spaghetti & chicken parmigiana. Both were cooked well, hot when served and of good portions. Our service was friendly and expedient. I've always loved coming here. The food is consistently amazing, and the portions are very generous. The bread given when seated is so tasty. The food did not disappoint. The unfortunate part of this dinner was service. Our service was terrible. We had reservations and after arriving, it took forever to even be acknowledged, as you stand there awkwardly waiting to be seated. It took 20 min for the waitress to even come to our table, to which she just informed us she would be right back. And then unfortunately we could hardly hear her, as she was very soft spoken. It's not loud by any means but it is a restaurant at dinner time.... and she seemed frustrated by this. We took a family member here for the first time, after raving about it... and I doubt she would ever return. I was very discouraged with this experience and truly hope it was just an off day. read more

I have dined numerous times at Oliveri North and previously had never been disappointed. Tonight's dinner evolved into a poor experience due to two LOUD, drunk, disorderly and disruptive fellow diners who's behavior was ignored by the staff.The drunk patron's behavior evolved to screaming profanity the more alcohol they were served. My husband asked them to " please reign in the screaming and profanity " but this seemed to fuel their bad behavior. I know the server "M" as we have dined here numerous times, and was surprised that he continued to serve these two obviously intoxicated patrons. The manager Sal was obviously aware of the loud profanity as was everyone in the dining room, but he ignored the behavior which was disappointing. Dining out can be expensive, not sure I will return. read more

While running errands we decided to do Italian for lunch. We were the first customers of the day and had all the attention. Lisa had ravioli and my order was tortellini. The ravioli would make a good pillow. Huge and stuffed with cheese. My dish had a nice texture and taste. There was plenty of fresh bread with olive oil. Definitely worth the visit. read more

Just wanted to let owner know of poor service received yesterday 12/1/24. We have been customers of this restaurant for years with alway great food and fair service. Yesterday my daughter and I decided to get drink and appetizer prior to movie at theater next door. We walked in at 3:30 pm, sat at bar as the restaurant was empty, only one other woman at bar talking to Sal. We told the bartender we would like to order as soon as possible so we could walk next door for movie, allowing us 45 min for appetizer and one drink. At 3:50 my daughter received her expresso martini, (which Sal had to help make after bartender requested it) and I still did not have a drink, Sal then told us he just dropped our calamari in the fryer. I decided to forego my drink as it appeared the bartender hadn't started it yet, yet he assisted a walk in customer with gift cards while we still waited for our drinks. My daughter and I have both worked in this industry and would never expect a customer to wait over 20 min for a drink, particularly when establishment wasn't busy. Seemed Sal and the bartender were disinterested in our order. It will be quite a while before we return. So sad as a good friend works there as well. read more

Went back after a bad experience a 3-4 years ago. Was very impressed. Totally changed my mind. Have been back many times since.

Had been looking forward to a nice lunch after COVID-19 restrictions had been eased. Had to access full menu using QR code. It wasn't functioning correctly. Went to their website to access the menu because they had no hardcopies of their full menu and was told I was on the wrong site. I realized later that it was incorrect only because it had lower prices than the menu that was accessed through the QR code. So this took 10 minutes! After that, every 20 seconds or so one of the two waitstaff kept coming back to our table to take our order. It was overwhelming! They hovered incessantly! I never had any chance to look over the menu. I finally told them to leave me alone so I could look at the menu. They both took that statement as being rude to them and both ended up being huffy and speaking to me snidely. We left without ordering anything! There's more, but I've already given more energy than its worth to a restaurant that I will never visit again! read more
