Oliver's makes almost any type of sandwich you can think of; deli style, burgers, philly's, etc. had the Philly and it was excellent. Tender meat, fresh vegetables, gooey cheese, and actually fresh bread. I've found many Philly sandwiches to have to much hard, stale bread in each bite. This was not the case here, fresh, soft, delicious roll. We Also got a club style sandwich (ham, bacon, turkey) which was also excellent. The sandwich was grilled and toasted with high made the flavor of the meats and cheese really come alive. Great meat quality. The bread on this sandwich was good, but not as good as the Philly roll's bread. Would ask for it on the Philly roll or normal rye bread next time. Will be back! read more

Mom and pop shop that hits every time. Employees always friendly and helpful. I always get the gladiator which is 10/10. Can't seem to try anything else because I'm always drawn to it on the menu. My girlfriend always tries something different and has never been disappointed. Their ingredients are always fresh and they don't skimp on anything like the other sandwich shops do. I tried the shop anyway after not hearing good reviews. There was minimal amount of meat on my sandwich and they used probably the thickest and densest roll in Milton. The real shame was the cost, after instantaneously adding a 20% tip before receiving order the cost was $40.00+. I certainly don't mind an appropriate cost and tipping respectfully but this shop takes generous advantage of minimizing the product. Oliver's is a great local sandwich shop with a variety of options including banh mi and classic hot sandwiches with a twist (I forgot the name but one's a rather good variation on a chicken parm). For the price the portions are alright, not quite what you'd get at a chain like Jersey Mikes but much better ingredients and more variety. The only thing that keeps them from getting all 5 stars is that some of their sandwiches are rather bread-heavy and topping-light, most are really well balanced though. Decent price for sandwiches, so have come here a few times. Always felt the bread to meat ratio was a bit high, but not a deal breaker. Today, I walked in and was waiting in the "order" area for someone to acknowledge me. Several minutes later after trying to flag someone down and brand new customer walks in and is asked what they want before they are fully in the store. After they said what they wanted, I said "excuse me, i have been over here in the order area for almost 5 minutes". They acted annoyed and said they would be right with me and continued buzzing around making things. A few more minutes later I was asked what I wanted in a not-so-friendly manner. I placed my order and asked if I should do something different when coming to place an order because someone who walked right in got helped well before me, and when I brought it up, they ignored the issue and didn't even say "sorry, didn't see you". Of course the person who arrived well after me got their food first. While waiting I had plenty of time to look around and I will say I was a bit disgusted as how dirty the place is and how food is left uncovered or not in the proper storage. From the outside this place doesn't look like much. There isn't a lot of advertisements around it and it's between papa Murphy's and rite aid. Only found out about this by word of mouth! There is so many options when you are inside! They have all sorts of sandwiches! And they have banh mis! And bubble tea! It's unfortunate that the owners/operators of this business don't take a step back to improve their procedures. - credit card machine not working - out of basic items like chips and drinks. - horrendous wait times. (2 turkey sandwiches took over 30 minutes) - upset clients milling around waiting for their food, which apparently is taking forever. - prices at register don't match prices on menu. Decided to take my mom to lunch at her favorite place in Milton. I had never been there before and was amazed by the menu almost overwhelmed. I ordered the meat lovers sandwich on a sandwich roll. The sandwich was loaded and delicious but if I'm being honest I wouldn't have gotten the roll. I should have gone with the traditional sliced bread. The added mass of the bread made it huge and a bit unnecessary. The bread was good don't get me wrong. The onion rings were crispy and beautiful as well as delicious. So why the 4 stars and not the 5? Two reasons. First being price. 3 sandwiches, onion rings and two bubble teas cost roughly $54. Came here for lunch with family, it was our first time eating here. The menu is impressive with numerous sandwich selections, wraps, burgers, soups, and even bubble teas. I opted for the Oliver's special on the sandwich roll. They toast the sub and are happy to customize if requested. The rolls are fluffy and have the right amount of chew and the toppings plentiful. Food is good and I like to support local, family owned places but the prices on the menu are not correct. Never paid attention the last few times I ordered but an order for two sandwiches was $29. When I asked about why the prices didn't line up they said they had new prices and pointed to an 8x10 piece of paper next to the register that was apparently months old. I'm generally not crazy about sandwiches, but I found this place on a whim and it's the only sandwich place that I have cravings for! The portions are HUGE with an amazing combination of ingredients. My personal fave is the turkey, bacon, avocado sandwich with sourdough bread (yummy crunchy salty bacon with creamy avocado and super fresh lettuce/tomatoes and healthy turkey) while my bf is a fan of the Gladiator (really hearty manwich). The sandwiches are good but just that. They could be excellent if there was anything other than bread involved. I'm all about supporting the little guys and I absolutely LOVE sandwiches so of course I will be back, but maybe next time I'll see if there are any sandwiches, to my liking, that actually have meat and veggies in them. The employees are nice but could use a little bit of customer service training. Not much there in "hello" or "thank you". The time it takes to make what I was given was terrible. Over 15 minutes. Not sure why when I was the only one in there. I understand if you ARE busy but also after reading reviews this seems to be a problem. Part of having a business is growing and part of growing is hiring out so you don't take that long to make a sandwich. Time is money! The few times I've had this place since moving here, a month ago, have been good but lacking on "filling" (see pic of my turkey). I actually went home and used the last of my own turkey slices to fill this sandwich and make it worth eating (otherwise it would've been too much bread). :-( Ultimately I say it's a good spot, but for the high price and the wait please add some filling to your sandwiches. Update to my first yelp on this place from a few years ago: I had been a few years since I had ever ordered anything from here and my only other order was completely a mess, so I thought I would place a Door Dash order this evening since I am stuck home and now only live a mile from their shop. The Door Dasher was patiently waiting an hour for them to even start to make my cold turkey sandwich, and another Dasher who I asked about the location said that they do not make delivery orders a "priority" there and that they always have to wait for every person in line to get their sandwich made before they will even start working on Door Dash delivery orders! My order was $23 ( plus the $6 tip for the the driver ) for a cold sandwich, fries and a bubble tea which they won't even offer any kind of special requests or instructions on if ordering for delivery! Finally, after the Dasher being there for over an hour and staying in touch with me and trying to contact Door Dash themselves to let them know what was going on I had to cancel my order. I had heard about how slow this place was and now know that we won't be giving them a third chance! Just because they are local doesn't always mean they have good customer service! I personally think the food here is absolutely when you get a good bang for your buck. I am obsessed with the lobster sandwich.

Despite a horrendous wait I give the sandwiches a great quality thumbs up.
