It has been a while since I have been at TTT they finally remodeled the restaurant it was nice and clean. Service was ok not sure who my waitress was because 3 different ladies helped me. Food was good I had the chilis relleno there were a lot of seeds still left in the chilis and the batter was very thick. My biggest problem was the sticker shock when I got the bill. $23 for just me dinner and a sweet tea was $21 plus tax no tip. They charge $3.50 just for tea! And because the waitress did know who was actually taking care of me I was left empty most of my meal. Almost feels like highway robbery and for that I probably won't go back. Oh and the bathroom that is part of the truck stop that the restaurant uses was absolutely disgusting. Holes in the wall doors missing off the stalls and the smell of stale urine. I'm a truck driver and live at truck stops but I don't recommend this one. read more

Had to try this truck stop diner as I've had good luck in the past with some very tasty food by some short order cooks and found some gems! This review fell between a 3-4 star, but had to go with the 4 just based on the outstanding service by our waitress, Selena. She was attentive and friendly & pushed this review to a 4-star! I ordered an iced tea and without me having to ask, she brought me a glass filled with ice! I loved that! I ordered the chorizo and eggs, and the chorizo was good. I did not care for the refried beans, or the salsa, they both tasted like they were premades from a can or jar (boo ). My husband ordered their turkey club and loved it! The turkey was not the processed type. This diner is clean and has plenty of room. They have a cute candy stand that's sure to excite your kiddos and anyone's sweet tooth! This diner is located IN the truck stop, but still separate. I would return and try other items and if we get the same type of service and good food, my 4-star review will stick! So, decided to go see how things are after the major remodel. Looks great inside and was very impressed. Not sure how it will work for the truckers though. Use to have electrical outlets for charging everywhere. Not any more. Menu is still pretty much the same. However, food quality and quantity has grown way down. I ordered the southwest omelette with grits, no toast. Wife ordered the TTT burrito, her usual. Use to come with choice of cheese, not anymore. I received a small omelette with toast, no grits! I don't complain, if you can't get my order right, shame on you. Wife said hers was very bland with little flavor. Mine was just plain bad. As for the new arrangements, not impressed. You walk in, go to the counter, get a menu, decide what you want, order, pay get a number than find a seat. Self serve for drinks, coffee, (refills are served for coffee) at the table. This is not due to COVID-19. Just new way. Almost no one there. I will not be returning anytime soon. Update 9/6/2020 So, management sent me a message and said come back and give us a try. You will be happy. So, my wife and I went in today (9/6/20). Yep big mistake. They have improved in service. You no longer have to order and pay up front before you can sit down. They now have table service. So, the service was good even though it was a little slow. Food on the other hand was bad! My wife ordered her usual, the TTT burrito while I ordered an omelette with ham, sausage, and green chilies with grits. The burrito was filled with greasy hash browns and almost no meat or egg. A far cry from what it use to be before the remodel. My omelette was also bad, no green Chili's and very little ham if any. The grits were the best part of the meal. So prices have gone up big time ($35 for the two of us) since the remodel and the food quality has taken a nose dive. There was almost no customers in the place which I find unusual for a Sunday morning. So high prices and poor food quality equals a failing restaurant. What a shame they use to be so good. read more

Staff was really friendly but definitely not enough staff for how busy this place is. It is definitely a bike hangout and of course trucker hang out but it is open to everyone. It is very clean and love all the old school candy they sell. The time to sit wasn't bad it was the wait for for food and our check that took a long time due to short staff. The food unfortunately was not anything to brag about, I have heard about TTT food being amazing but it was meh. I didn't have the pie though those are apparently really what they are known for. If you are in a hurry I do not suggest sitting for food until they get more help. read more

Was excited to try. Unfortunately, it was a bust. I believe it was due to lack of servers. One young guy that didn't see the need for speed, considering he was the only server. Can't blame him was probably worn out. The food came out slow and cold. He served one item at a time with long pauses between each. The cole slaw came out rotten and the cottage cheese borderline rotten. The server told us it was a full serve bar, but not the case. They couldn't prepare either a daiquiri because he "couldn't find the blender" after waiting 25 minutes for it. He was finally looking up on YouTube how to prepare an espresso martini when we were finished and wanting to pay the bill. Unless, you plan on a beer (not even sure they would serve until 3/4 the way through the meal...I would plan on walking next door for you drinks (at the store attached) I will say the server was very friendly, so we left him a large tip for his efforts. If you plan on getting anything done that requires electronics and a signal; it's sketchy at best. Typical diner fare. We ordered a patty-melt and the catfish dinner. The patty-melt had too much bread and not much patty. The catfish was breaded and tasted better after that had been scraped off. The service was fine but not worth the food or lack of a pleasant experience. Do yourself a favor and wait a few more exits until your farther into Tucson. It had been several years since we ate at Omar's Hi-way Chef. This restaurant is very close to my home and we were regulars but stopped going because food and service had began going down rapidly. A car accident we were involved in caused us to have a several hour wait for a tow truck. We decided to have a bite to eat and was pleasantly surprised at the renovation done on the inside. I've passed the TTT truck stop many times in my travels. I usually dont frequent truck stop restaurants as they are nothing special. I read about Omar's, on a website about having good food. I was overnighting by the airport in Tucson, so I decided to give it a visit. Before stepping in the door, I reviewed the menu online and saw that they have chile rellenos, battered and deep fried. I was sold right away, as this is the way I enjoy the dish. So I knew what I was going to order. I arrived and you seat yourself. Within a minute or 2 I was greeted by one of the servers with a menu and silverware. She took my drink order right away. And by the time she got back, I was ready to order. And yes, I got the chile rellenos. This dish came with rice and refried beans. Abd it didnt disappoint. The rellenos were deep fried and crispy. The rice and beans were piping hot. I wasnt a fan of the flavoring of the rice, but the beans were pretty good. Also, prior to my visit, I saw some pretty good desserts from previous photos. So I had my sights set on the strawberry shortcake. I inquired about it, and the server said she could make it. She also said it wasnt as big as it was in the past, or that she might not have some fresh shortcake. But, she came through. And the size, did not disappoint. Lots of ice cream, whipped cream, and strawberries. One could not go wrong. My first time experience was a good one. I would definitely go back to try some more dishes. read more

We have always been a fan of this place. As a matter of fact, one of my kids requested this place for his Birthday dinner! When covid hit---they took the opportunity to do a remodel --and let me tell you-they did an amazing job! I was impressed. It looks very nice in there--not so dark and dingy anymore. They added a dessert bar and an actual bar in the restaurant. The food remains amazing! The wait staffs' attitudes remain the same too--wish they were a bit more happy, or at least pretend to be. I saw probably one waitress that had a smile on her face last night--everyone else looked like they were only there cause they had to be. They do offer pick up as well as dine in. Masks are required but did not appear to be specified tables to sit at to promote distancing--however, you now seat yourself, so you can pick how far you want to be from others. I absolutely love Omar's Cafe in Triple T Truckstop. (TTT) It's sort of a long drive for me so I try to make it at least once a month. I have tried a lot of the items on the menu but it is large so it might take me another year :)) Omar is always polite and welcoming. Angel, the busser, is an extremely hard worker and always keeping a smile on his face! My all time favorite server is Amy! She is defiantly a gem in this cafe... We stopped here on our way through town and were very pleased with our food and service. It looks like they've done some renovations and the place looks great! They have TVs everywhere, so you're sure to catch whatever game or newscast you're looking for. We ordered a BLT, a chef salad and some chips and salsa to nibble on during the wait. The food came out super quick and the fries were piping hot! The chips were even warm like they are at Mexican restaurants, very nice touch! The salad was very filling and the BLT was very good. Our waitress, Selina, was very attentive and she managed her tables efficiently and courteously. Can't wait to try the rest of their menu on future trips through town. read more

I stopped here for breakfast on my way to Phoenix. It's a truck stop and a Resturant. I order the Denver omelette with red potatoes and toast. The coffee was cold, so I had to order another cup, they only charge you for the first one $2.29 to be exact. I told the waitress dry toast no butter, and she brings toast with butter on it. The omelette was plain nasty, disgusting. The red potatoes looked like just plain fried country potatoes, except that they tasted like rotten ass, I ate one and left them alone lol!!!I didn't want to have ass breath the rest of the day. Ok place with truck stop-like menu and food. Chicken fried steak was chopped and formed, then frozen and fried. Hash browns weren't fresh either. Gravy was ok, nothing stellar about it. The over easy eggs were well prepared and the sourdough toast was good. The service was passable. The wife said her chili relleno was good. Went there twice recently after many years of having not been there. Once at night to get some coffee and pie and another to have lunch my my son bc I enjoyed my night visit. First visit - I was shocked when I went inside and saw they'd remodeled! It's very nice and gives a great family diner feel. The apple pie had a weird seasoning that didn't belong on any apple pie so I'd stay away from that. The cherry pie however, was to die for!!! 100% recommend it. The coffee is just like at any diner, it was coffee but the service was great. Lunch visit - service was good but not as friendly as the previous time. I guess it depends on who's serving you. The food was okay. I had a burger which was meh - the burger tasted like a cheap frozen patty but the tater tots were great! My kiddo had chicken fingers and fries and he liked them. This place was kid friendly, which I liked. Plenty of desserts to try and even has a full bar. I'd put it at a step above Denny's or IHop bc even though my burger was meh, the food wasn't greasy and done like I asked. Def recommend. I'll go again and try something else from their big menu. I feel like TTT is always the place to stop on either long road trips, day trips or events. It's generally very fast whether you have 2-3 people or 15+. Ive been in all situations whether it's morning or later in the afternoon and have the same service throughout. I appreciate the servers since I have not received a bad order and everyone has been friendly. The only true complaint I have is the price changes and menu updates. Years back there were some options that had quite a bit of food for a fairly good price. The menu was updated with half of the food for more money. It's kind of disappointing and has really pushed me to not recommend going here as much. I look forward to TTT growing and hopefully going back to the way things used to be with lots of food for lower costs. It's more enticing to bring a large crowd or stop off the highway for a quick bite. read more

I have to say I was completely surprised how good my food was and the amount you get is unbelievable. You definitely get your money's worth for the portions here but I will say that I tried the Coke, sprite, and root beer and they were all flat. The root beer was the most drinkable. Don't get me wrong the place seemed a little sketchy at first. I kind of felt like I was in the twilight zone when we walked in but everything turned out fine. The staff was nice and the food was a little better than average. This restaurant is an old trucker dive but they have quite a few things on the menu and the service is pretty decent. It's definitely a good place to stop late when pretty much everything else is closed in the area. Downside is that the restrooms aren't in the restaurant but in the truck stop area so you have to walk out of the restaurant To go to the restroom. It's not really far but much farther than it would be in your average restaurant. I hear the ribs are really good but they were out when we got there after 8pm. So, I heard about this place from a coworker. I love Diners so I was game. Took the family there for brunch the first time of many and we were very pleased. Any place that has a mandatory waitress requirement of heavy lipstick and no less than 30 years of smoking unfiltered Camels is tops on my list. I asked "Flo" how she was doing after she came by to take our drink order and she responded, "I'm crabby today!". I told her that I loved her for being honest; and I'll take an Iced Tea! The kids each got a $2 pancake made like a famous Disney mouse. The wifey got the Chicken Fried Steak and eggs breakfast with all the trimmings for about $11, and I ordered my true Diner test sandwich...The Ruben($8). You wouldn't think that a joint could screw up a Ruben since the ingredients are pretty dang specific...but I've"ve seen it done. Omar's hit it out of the park! All of the food was great. The CFS was crispy and tender, the Ruben had the perfect balance of Corned Beef, Sauerkraut, Swiss, Thousand Island and marbled rye bread. (The lettuce, onion, tomato and pickle on the plate was a bit odd...but I guess they needed to fill in the blanks). The fries are kind of weak, so I recommend substituting the House Potatoes. They are little deep fried squares of perfectly seasoned, crispy bits of heaven. We have been regulars for months now. Not everything on the menu is phenomenal, however, you will find the dishes that tickle your fancy. My absolute favorite is "Omar's Favorite Breakfast". Cheese Enchiladas, shredded Mexican beef, 3 eggs any style, re-fried beans, potatoes, tortillas and salsa. It's a massive gut buster, but a wonderful mix of flavors and textures. While I like the remodel of Omar's, the service has become close to self-serve. They are clearly understaffed. The waitress is so overwhelmed serving 20 tables alone with about 40 customers. Of course the kitchen is backed up as well. The food was hot and properly cooked which was a plus. But sadly overshadowed by the service as the food was delivered to the table In stages. One table fetched their own toast that was dying in the window. As much as I like TTT and Omar's, I probably won't be back for awhile. read more

This place is a bit expensive for where it's at but, it was recently renovated and looks really nice. There's a large assortment of freshly baked goods that are honestly delicious. I enjoyed my enchilada omelet and it was a large portion. The biscuits and gravy were definitely premade but everything else was really good. Our server was kind and great. I will say the alcohol here is incredibly pricy for a truck stop, $9 for a bacardi and sprite when a bottle of it is $9 at Walmart. Overall I would eat here again as it's near my home and the sweets are awesome. read more
