Think of Chipotle but a Korean Chipotle but with Asian ingredients. Lots of great protein including Kalbi steak or grilled chicken, grilled tofu for the vegetarians. Also lots of raw fish to choose from. My favorite is the "surf and turf" grilled steak and spicy tuna combo. They also have purple rice and salad options as your base. 2 protein and 5 toppings I found the food to be super fresh and it's really healthy

Delish! All the ingredients feel really fresh. The bowl's great value as well. Lots of toppings and sides! It's great because their proteins choices mix land and sea, so something for everyone! Service is friendly and nice clean casual sitting.

the box is customizable with a bunch of different options to choose from. i usually get the spicy salmon and steak. the raw fish options look sooo fresh, and i can safely say that the salmon is delicious af. i also highly recommend their cilantro sauce. the box is a bit on the pricey side ~$22/box, but the portion size is generous. i usually eat half and save the other half for lunch the next day. the service is pretty standard for places where you build your own. the interior is spacious and clean, and there's also outside seating if you prefer that.

Was in the mood for poke and figured I would try this place out. At 5:30 on a friday evening, it wasn't too crowded, with plenty of seating. Seating was self serve, kind of like chipotle, after you order in the assembly-line style line. At first, I was kind of surprised to see that each bento-tray was ~$22, with no sizing options. However, the portion was massive, enough for one to be super full or to have lunch the next day! I liked how the bento was quite customizable. The restaurant is korean-fusion with poke, so there were many toppings, base rice that are more commonly linked with korean food. It was pretty good! The salmon was fresh and fatty. One of the fresher poke spots I have had in the bay. The toppings were fresh, and visually vibrant! I think my only critique would be the pricing and maybe having more options for sizing. Otherwise, you are getting what you are paying for!

Came across this by accident when trying to find a dinner place before watching movies across the way at the movie theater nearby. My boyfriend and I have loved it ever since!! We love how fresh the ingredients are and the quality. The chicken is a must try so tender and flavorful and the spicy tuna is one of usuals to order. So far everything I have tried has been delicious and super fresh and portions are really good! It's like Chipotle where you can pick your protein, toppings but WAY better! Lots of variety and you can choose two proteins. Ever since my boyfriend and I tried this place we can't stop coming back and the workers are also very friendly and attentive! It's one of our favorites to go eat when we don't feel like cooking :)

Recently OMEE J 2 pops up in my social media feeds multiple times, I was intrigued by the great looking bento box of colorful ingredients so we picked a day to go get lunch. When we got there, looking at the menu, I quickly realized it's basically a fancy k-style poke bowl restaurant. Because the photos on Yelp are not up-to-date, their price per meal has gone up quite a bit: price went from $17.95 to almost $22 for a bento box. The portions are big I have to say, and the poke are fresh, but I want to say if you order there, try not to get too much sauce on the poke or it will quickly become very salty. I had to drink 2 cups of water after the meal because it's just way too much salt in the sauces.

This place was a revelation to me! So fresh and so delicious! They are ruthlessly organized behind the counter and bins are refilled quickly and constantly from a waiting stock behind them in the fridge. The counter staff are friendly but efficient. There was a small line but it was clear they were all working flat out to serve up the personalized bowls perfectly. In my picture is my bowl. Half purple rice, half spring mix as the base. If I have one criticism, it's that the leaves in the spring mix should be cut a little smaller. They were too large compared to the size of the other ingredients. I went with tuna and ribeye as my protein and they were both excellent! I was a little worried about the beef but it was still warm and perfectly cooked. I selected some toppings from among a very wide list (it was difficult to choose) and some sauces and additional sprinkled toppings. The whole thing was a flavor bomb! The place is clean as a whistle, too. I'll be back here ASAP! I want to try some different combos. I also got a hotteok as a sweet finish. It was messy but delicious! Thank you Omee J for a tasty first experience!

Omee J 2 wowed my expectations and what everyone is saying about it being a Korean/Japanese chipotle, this super accurate. I enjoyed how healthy, well balanced their food was and looking at each bowl, it's super colorful and that's what you want for a well balanced meal. Rice, protein and vegetables/fruit! On top of that the portions were really big. My favorite part is that there are hot proteins like chicken and bulgogi. Then there is poke in which I got the salmon and tuna. They were both fresh and the portion was decent. The also have inside seating but you order at the front at the front glass area where all the food is. We took it to go and it tasted great. Definitely coming back.

Save yourself and skip the sides. I tried the chicken karage and for the price you pay it's not worth it. There is nothing special about the chicken itself. It was fried ok, taste ok, but very small portion for large amount of money. The poke bowl has been consistent and you can ask for the sauces on the side if you are doing takeout so the bowl doesn't sit drenched in sauce. Stick with the main item, poke.

Yellowtail and Spicy Salmon Poke w/ Creamy Garlic and Unagi Sauces ($20, 5/5 stars)
    Melanie H.

I was disappointed in the quality of the spicy salmon this time. Some pieces had a weird, chunky chew and the flavor was quite heavy on sriracha. The plain salmon was delicious as usual though as is the garlic butter, creamy garlic sauce and unagi sauce! Prices are also now $24 after tax and their yellowtail quantity is limited, so come earlier in the day.

Had lunch here on a Wednesday afternoon. No wait, no crowds, and super fast service! I'm sure it's been said before, but this place is like a Korean/Japanese/Poke "Chipotle". You walk up to the counter, and pick your bases, meats/poke, toppings, and sauces. Service was friendly. Portions are huge, which I appreciate. My husband finished his bowl, but my son and I could only eat half of ours. The bowls were very tasty, the only thing was the beef was a little tough, but the chicken was nice and tender. It was also nice to see yellowtail on the poke menu. Would definitely stop by there again if we're looking for a quick satisfying meal.

Whoever decided to make a 44oz bowl is a genius.. At first I was overwhelmed by Omee J 2's selection of what to include in my bowl, but all of the possibilities are delicious so it really doesn't matter that much. Add-ons I would definitely not skip include: garlic butter and grilled corn for my base toppings, spicy crab meat, and tobiko. For sauce, you can't go wrong with classic unagi or garlic ponzu. I will note that the quality of their proteins was really good; I especially enjoyed the tuna! This is a really clean spot and the service was super fast. Lots of seating inside as well, so you can eat your bowl while it's still fresh.

    Andrew N.

This place is like another chipotle style poke place but with more Asian dishes. Poke (5/5): I really enjoyed the poke here. There were so many flavors to choose from and the bowl was so packed!

For the cold noodles, it was pretty refreshing and a bit light in flavor. It came in a icy vinegary broth with noodles, half a boiled egg, pickled daikon and some pieces of galbi (short rib). Also had option of adding more vinegar and/or mustard if you wanted. The noodles were chewy but that's how it is, recommend asking for some scissors to cut the noodles if it's hard to chew. For the spicy buckwheat cold noodles, it had much more flavor, had a gochujang base, and thicker. It came with half a boiled egg, pickled daikon and pieces of galbi. For the tofu soup, we got the chicken and mushroom which was fine. In addition, the sides were good as well. Service was good.

We ordered the beef soup and the appetizer short ribs, which is about 6 pieces. The sides were good, special shout out to the warm jjapchae! The short ribs came out sizzling, and had a great char with a sweet soy sauce flavor. Meat was tender and had the perfect chew to it, such a comfort meal with the rice. The beef soup came boiling, and there was a generous amount of beef, mushrooms, and tofu. The only complaint I have is the soup ratio was less than what I'm used to so about halfway through the pot there wasn't much soup left to pour onto the rice the way I normally do. But that's not a bad thing, means you're getting more protein! Service was great, but it's a bit expensive from what I'm used to so I docked a star. I'll check out other places and see if this is just the normal pricing for the area.
