The drink itself was not sweet at all and slightly bitter. I didn't really taste any jasmine tea flavor over the bitterness too. The agar boba was ok but the taste was slightly off, which I was not sure if it was from the agar or from the drink itself. I love OMG Tea but the girl working with glasses and shortish red-brown hair was so mean. My friend ordered a slushie close to closing which I understand is difficult but instead of telling us they couldn't take the order or weren't doing slushies she started SCREAMING "no no no i just put the blenders away" then we could hear her and her coworker making jokes about putting BLEACH in the drink. For the local San Jose peeps, the taste of the tea is very similar to Tisane. I would say OMG Tea definitely prioritizes sweet and sugary flavors more than tea flavors, but overall it was decent. The texture of the boba was good and had a strong brown sugar flavor to it. I liked how clean and modern the store was, with a kiosk just in a case you are an introvert. I would recommend this place to those who like sweet tea drinks. Wintermelon Milk Tea: I got this drink 50% sweet and it was still decently sweet. The wintermelon flavor was pretty good and there was a good balance with it to the tea. I do recommend getting the sweetness at the lowest 50% if you aren't a fan of really sweet tea. Assam Black Milk Tea: Decent milk tea. I would say the brown sugar boba overpowered my drink a bit, but I thought the tea was solid. I got it 80% sweet and it was still pretty sweet. I asked the girl at the counter what Wintermelon was? Was it Cantaloupe? She said no, it's an Asian gourd and it's sweet. Hmmm. I figured I'd try it, with black tea and small boba since they were out of big boba. The boba itself was super soft and almost required no chewing. I've never had such soft boba before and I'm not quite sure how to feel about that? I probably like my boba a little chewier and more "to the tooth" but it wasn't bad this way. We ordered earlier today through door dash. The order was ready and delivered very quickly. Two people got Thai tea which they both said was on the more mild side versus getting at a Thai restaurant. They felt there could have been more tea vs milk. They did enjoy their drinks. I got the brown sugar boba with oat milk. Regular sugar as they normally would make it. The drink was delicious but way too sweet for me. There was a nice amount of boba in it. The oat milk was a nice option. Next time I order it I will be getting 1/2 sweetness. I'm looking forward to trying it again. The last drink was the oolong creama. The person drinking it said it was good and it was refreshing. Located off Homestead and Jackson; I got slightly confused where it exactly was but they actually have a front and back entrance. There's a parking lot in the back with one way in/out. Since this was a new boba spot, I usually ask them about their sweetness level and was recommended to get 100%. But, I went safe and got the jasmine green milk tea w/ boba with 80% sweetness and light ice. Phew, good thing I got slightly less sweet because overall it was already sweet plus the honey boba made the drink even sweeter. There was a good tea flavor but slightly on the milkier/water end. However, the boba had a good consistency, chewy and not too hard or soft - just to my liking. Because I'm a sipper and as time passed the drink got sweeter so I unfortunately was unable to finish it. Okay, I gotta give credit where credit is due. I haven't had good assam milk tea in a while and had pretty much lost hope. When my friend wanted to try this place because it's close by, I went with my gut and ordered the assam milk tea with pearls (50% sweet). It's not the best in the world, but it's definitely tasty, actually tastes like tea, and really hits the spot. Very impressive. I can't speak for the other drinks on the menu, but this one is solid. My only nitpick is from my first visit. The cashier was short with me and couldn't answer a simple question: "How sweet do you guys make your milk teas? Some places make them really sweet while others are mild." She seemed a little annoyed, which felt more like a training issue. The second time I came, there was a different cashier who was much nicer. Both times, the assam milk tea tasted the same, which is a good sign. Non-dairy options for substitutions were available. Customer service was really awesome. Two staff members helped walk me through the menu and offered their advice on sweetness levels. Thanks to their recs, I was highly satisfied with my drink. I got the oreo matcha brulée with 80% sweetness. The ice was blended perfectly, and the matcha taste was the highlight of the drink. i don't really understand the negative reviews for this small business boba shop. i love the fruit tea (POG) here as it really reminds me of the authentic fruit tea i drank in taiwan~ service is fast, the shop is clean and neat, the lighting is comfortable and there's a cute lil teddy bear on a bench while you wait for your drink. as for people complaining about staff "not smiling enough" those staff are human, give them a break. i've never dealt with any "rude" behavior here, the staff are normal and perfectly fine. lots of toppings and creative drink options here like slush type drinks and different fruit tea combinations. :D pricing is reasonable and lower than some other shops that don't even offer as many options! will visit again soon~ read more

Passed by OMG Tea around 9pm since it was nearby. There's parking spots available along the street in front of the shop, and some in the back as well. I tried the Four Seasons Oolong with the small boba which was available that night. It was my first time having small boba and I wish more places had it! Definitely made the spot more unique. Also had a wintermelon tea which was pretty typical. Service was friendly and kind, though there was only one person working that night so orders were coming out pretty slow. Disclaimer: this is strictly a review for the Assam Black Milk Tea with "big boba" (which is essentially regular sized boba). I've been searching for a good Assam Black Milk Tea ever since Tastea discontinued their Golden Milk Tea and OMG Tea has so far been THE CLOSEST in taste! I came across OMG Tea on Yelp (since it was the closest to where I was at the time) and when I saw Assam Black under their milk tea selections, I knew I had to give it a shot and I was not disappointed! I ordered my Assam Black MT at 80% sweet with normal ice level. My husband got an Assam Black MT at 100% and honestly, they didn't taste too different! They were both the perfect amount of tea and sweetness. The boba was good, but I wouldn't say it was great. He likes Boba Guys' boba better, but we'd definitely come back for the Assam Black MT. I'll have to try their other drinks... eventually, but honestly finding this MT has been a journey and I'm so thrilled to have happened across it by chance! I got the jasmine milk tea with half sweetness and it tasted like they barely put any sugar in there. I actually didn't mind because the powdered milk they used helped me finished the drink.
