I had driven by this place several times and had never had any desire to eat there. I didn't like the name and the location is sort of in a residential neighborhood (although on a major street). Then one day, my wife brought some leftovers home. I had some and was blown away! The food is so good that I go there at least once or twice a week (sometimes more). I usually get the Chicken Anticuchero plate with a side of Chimichuri sauce. It costs $8 and change. The prices are very reasonable for the amount of food you get! Plus the food is really, really good! I recommend this place to everyone now. If people want to meet me for lunch, this is my go-to place! The staff is also very friendly. There are 4 ladies that seem to be there everyday. They know my order by heart and have it ready as soon as they see me walking in the door. I would say this place is 4 1/2 stars, but since I can't give half stars I will round up in this case! One advice I would give for potential diners, it could take 10 to 15 minutes for your food to be prepared, so calling in ahead saves a lot of time. read more

Made a yelp just for this place. My family lives next door to this place and i am visiting from New York. The four Stars is for the food and cashier who took the time to explain to me about the different sauces they offered i believe her name was Suzan. Super nice and informative. The food was delicious! i wish i could take one back to new york! I just finished my left overs and still so good! The set up of the place is cute! The only thing i did not like was to see the woman with blonde hair walking around, cleaning while on her phone, which was obviously a personal phone call. She was not in a uniform like the rest of the crew which led me to believe she was probably management? Which seems odd because anyone who is manager should be more professional than that. Quick stop to get a healthy quick meal. Lunch or dinner, prices are reasonable, there is a big parking lot area in the back, there also indoor and outdoor seating, decent size not a big place. During lunch it is always busy, it helps if you order ahead of time, orders will be ready within 10- 15 minutes. I always order the teriyaki chicken plate, sometimes I add avocado, it's a $1.00 (with some change). Salads are also big portions I always have left overs. Love this place. It's 2 mins away from my home. I always wanted to try their burger. I was about to go to In-n-Out, but it's a Friday night so it's a pretty long line. Anyway I ordered a double original burger combo for tonight and I cannot wait to try it. I came here close to 8pm and it was not crowded at all. I just moved to the area and was looking for a spot to grab lunch. I noticed the reviews and decided to head over. All I can say is WOW! I've only tried the teri-avocado burger but that's all that I needed. The burger is juicy, has fresh tomatoes and lettuce, and they put in a lot of avocado! And it's only $6! I've been grabbing lunch here often and feel like I came across a steal. I'm sure the other items on the menu are good as well, but the burger right now is a banger. When I get my salad there's no avocado. I take it back to the cashier and she tells me I have to pay extra for avocado! Frankly, now that I've tried you, I can't see how anyone who isn't stoned can even LIKE you--and even stoners will be better served washing down microwaved burritos with chocolate milk at 7-11. I've been driving by this place for some time now and there are usually some people inside patronizing it, so tonight I decided to give it a try. The place has a Nouveau Grooveau look to it, and the menu seems simple and focused; maybe this means I've stumbled onto a REALLY good beef-bowl joint! I start thinking, "Hmm...maybe this place is giving some thought to their food, unlike 99% of all restaurants in San Fernando Valley. Maybe it is IN the Valley but not OF the Valley!" NOT! It's like TOTALLY in AND of the VALLEY (hence the OMG, I suspect). So instead of giving thought to their food or to their own long-term survival in business, when they dreamed this place up they were thinking more about how they could chisel the know-nothing, eat-anything gastro-sheep of the Valley and here is what they've come up with: 1. The aforementioned pseudo-ketchup on the cheap. 2. Beef sliced so thinly you'll think they're recycling Philly cheesesteaks. And just for good measure it was as dry and flavorless as shoe leather. 3. Chimichurri sauce so weak and so skimpily applied that you'll think it's neither Chimi nor churri, but just some green Peruvian food coloring they decided to airbrush on. 4. Beef plate has no onions? No peppers? No 'shrooms? Nope, none. Has a few tablespoons of iceberg salad with Chinese wonton noodles. HUH? Oh, and LOTS of white rice. But guess what, dudes? Even I can boil rice. I can steam it, too! Even brown rice! Hey, imagine that. Now seriously, what's with this "beef?" And while we're at it, where is it? 4. Chicken teriyaki bowl was marginally better--they even sprung for some sesame seeds on top. WHOA, guys--you don't want to break the bank, do you? 5. Cheeseburger was less meaty than a Burger King whopper and meat was of similar utility-grade quality, but it was more expensive. In its defense, it was neatly prepared and served on a fresh bun. Edible, yes. Above the ordinary in any way? NO. 6. French Fries were skinny, fried in cheap-ass oil (i.e., the kind that I'll be burping up tonight and tomorrow morning, too, probably.), and mostly very short, like the last 8 or 9 broken off ends of real fries you get at McDonalds. Know why? Because QUALITY french fries are long, not short, and you have to pay for quality. On the positive side, my Diet Coke was AWESOME!!! My best friend kept raving about this place so we decided to grab lunch here one day. We ordered the Chicken Teriyaki Bowl and an order of fries both of which were a pretty decent size. They charbroil their chicken which gives it a nice smokey taste. The Teriyaki sauce they use was good but nothing amazing in my opinion. The fries were skinny and crispy, which I liked a lot. Overall I'll probably come back every once in a while for my lunch if I ever feel like having Japanese food in the area, but I definitely wouldn't go out of my way for it. They have a station to pack your teriyaki sauce, hot sauce and ginger. Their portions are generous but flavor is nothing special. Beef tasted better than chicken to me. Choices are teriyaki, chimichurri and antichuerro. I may have spelled that wrong. I have tried each one, and they're all very good. CHIMICHURRI- is the way to go if you want a little kick. Went for the 2nd time today. Convinced alot more people to try it out. Man the place was crowded by lunch time. So a couple of things I have learned since I was there last. This place is a Japanese/Peruvian Mix restaurant. I think the owner was there today very involved gentleman there today. So big Tip order their plates with the salad involved. Much better dishes. When I order a chicken salad for $8 bucks I expect something better than McD's. I did not feel I received that. Summary: Yummy flavor chicken butchered to 100 weird pcs. Only greens, nothing else on the salad but dressing/wontons. Maybe I'll be back to try something else. The chicken was on top of a mix of romaine, iceburg and little circles of green onion. +1 star for the romaine, if it was all iceburg I would have ate someone. (Too soon?) What I mean by McD's is that maybe a tomatoe, onion, corn or carrots or something to color add to the fresh salad? I ate all of it, mind you, and it was tasty, but it could have had another dimension. There were wonton pieces but I don't eat those and it would have made my green salad just brown. Mm... green and brown plate, tell me that sounds tantalizing. Oh and the dressing was good, served on side which I like since I don't use much of it. I could go to Fresh and Easy and buy a bag of lettuce for $2 and buy pre-cooked chicken. That will last me more than 1 meal. I paid for a something more and I did not get it here. read more

Thanks to the Yelpers' reviews, my friends and I had to try OMGrill. According to the reviews I read, the lomo soltado and the green Peruvian spicy sauce are the bomb diggity. Of course, I wanted to try both so bad since I love grubbing on those two specifically when I go to a Peruvian restaurant. Well, I guess since it's not truly a Peruvian restaurant, they don't serve it (anymore?)! Ugh what a bummer. The chimchirri and teriyaki bowl were pretty darn good though.
