The green milk tea and mango tornado were very refreshing and delicious; the long wait sucked. But I refuse to drop it from 5 to 4 stars because of the long wait. It's not their fault they make great products lol They do this really cool thing where they line the walls of the cup with part of the drink before they even make the drink. I don't know what it is (depends on the drink) but it makes the entire experience even better! The ambiance is a busy, loud, crowded boba shop so there isn't much seating and you usually just see people sitting down because they are waiting for their drink. My sis tried the Camo Thai and I tried the Oreo Creme Brulee Green Milk Tea. The Camo Thai does taste like Thai tea and has creme brulee swirls. Pretty good. The Oreo creme brulee was also good, and you taste more "tea" so I liked it. We came on a Wednesday around 4pm and there was indeed a line in front. After ordering, the wait wasn't bad. Besides that, the strawberries were really good. If I lived around here, I would come back to try out other drinks. Make sure to keep the receipt because they will call your number and you will need to show your receipt #. There is a huge parking lot here. Came again. This time I got the uji matcha. Very strong matcha flavor!! Not sure if it's real ceremonial or what not for all you matcha connoisseurs but the flavor is definitely there. I love b&w boba haha When I came around 2 or 3 the line was pretty long. People trying to beat the heat and grab a refreshing drink. But when I came back around 6 or 7 the line was short! Just gotta time it right. After I ordered a huge line formed. I ordered 6 drinks and they gave me a little bag with reflective material inside. Not sure if it is insulating but it's nice they gave me a bag. I will say one thing they need to work on is labeling the drinks. Especially for big orders. This is an unpopular opinion, but I thought OMOMO was just okay. I tried their matcha, since it was highly recommended. They were out of regular boba when I went, so I added clear boba to my drink. The drink was too sweet for me. I'd still go back here and try out other things or ask to get the sweetness level adjusted. read more

There is always a wait for Omomo. It is good boba but I think there are just as good of places that you do not need to wait for. The line sometimes can get to 30 mins so I think that alone for boba makes it not worth it. The drinks alone are good. I usually get one of the cheese foams with a green tea or a four season tea. It is an irvine stable though, so if you want to try an irvine specific boba Omomo would probably be the one. read more

Omomo always has a long line so don't expect otherwise. Parking can be tough in the plaza too, especially during lunch hours. I'll admit, that my review will be a bit biased. I only come here because my sister loves boba. I'm not a boba drinker, but I am a matcha drinker, so I gave it a shot. We ordered the Matcha Cortado, Thai Milk Tea, and Oreo Brûlée Green Milk Tea. All of them were way too sweet for my taste. They felt more like dessert drinks or even frappuccinos than traditional teas. If you're into thick, sweet, creamy drinks, you'll probably love it. I ordered a drink WITH boba. It took me more than 30 minutes to get this drink. When my number was finally called, I picked up my drink and returned to my car. Once I looked at the drink, I noticed there was no boba in it. I went back inside Omomo and informed the staff that my order was incorrect because I had ordered the drink with boba. The staff checked their system and told me that I had not been charged for boba and that I would need to pay separately if I wanted it added. I was genuinely surprised by this response. Most businesses understand that when there is confusion or a mistake involving an order, the focus should be on resolving the issue and taking care of the customer. Instead, I was being asked to pay additional money after already waiting 30 minutes and having to come back into the store because the drink I received was not what I had expected and guess what... this was the 2nd time they didn't add boba in my drink. The first time, I actually paid for it but because I already drove off, it wasn't worth it for me to go back there looking for parking again considering how hectic that parking lot is. When I explained that I did not believe I should have to pay extra under these circumstances, the staff brought over the manager. Rather than attempting to resolve the situation, the manager told me that I should have checked my drink before leaving the store. That response was shocking. Instead of acknowledging the inconvenience or taking any responsibility for the situation, the blame was shifted entirely onto the customer. After waiting half an hour for a drink, I was essentially being told that it was my responsibility to inspect the order before leaving the premises, rather than the store's responsibility to ensure the order was prepared correctly in the first place. At that point, it became clear that customer service was not a priority. The issue was never about the cost of the boba. It was about accountability and how a customer is treated when a problem arises. A simple apology and an effort to make things right would have resolved the situation immediately. Instead, I was met with excuses, asked to pay extra, and then blamed for not discovering the problem sooner. Given how the situation was being handled, I requested a refund and left the store. What should have been a simple correction turned into an unnecessarily frustrating experience because neither the staff nor the manager seemed willing to take ownership of the situation or provide a reasonable customer service solution. Mistakes happen at every business. What customers remember is how those mistakes are handled. Unfortunately, this experience left a lasting negative impression. The missing boba was a minor issue; the dismissive attitude and lack of accountability were the real problem. First thing most people will notice about Omomo is the long line that reaches out the door to the curb on most days. With no self serving kiosks, sometimes it may take up to 45-50 minutes to get your drink. However, Omomo makes up for it with it's nice selection of drinks, some of which come with the cheese foam which is excellent. My favorite seasonal drink with the cheese foam may be the ichy peachy which is generally available in the summer. Though recently, I tried their black jade milk tea with boba and it was just as excellent. Boba was soft and chewy which I prefer, and the tea was still delicious even at 30%. Arriving at 8:45pm with 15 or so minutes before closing the wait was 20 min. & so worth it. Orders: White Peach w/Foam-just enough peach flavor that didn't over power the tea leaves & adding the form resulted in a salty creamy finish, but make sure to mix the drink first. Excellent from start to finish. Gyokura w/Foam- floral tea leaf flavor that lingers after you take a sip, such a wonderful tea drink it's no wonder why it is a favorite for most people. It was mostly white and tasted like foamy, creamy, strawberry flavored cheese foam. Quite disappointed. And the lines are still crazy long, so I expect my drink to be correct. Good lord man, no boba shop is worth waiting in line for 30+ minutes. What is this, Disneyland? And it's not like we are in a boba desert in Irvine. I'm sure there are like 10 other boba shops in a 2 mile radius. I get that there's not THAT much to do in Irvine, but c'mon guys. Anyway, yes, the drinks are really good. I won't take that away from them. My personal favorite is the Uji Green Milk Tea, which is a nice combo of matcha and jasmine milk tea. I've also enjoyed itchy peachy and the watermelon green tea. The matcha creamomo is great too. The only drink I was quite disappointed with is the Taro Paste Fresh Milk. It just tastes like straight milk. Who likes this? So yea, if you have time to kill and craving a delicious boba drink, then this spot is perfect. But they really couldn't have figured out a way to improve the wait times? There must be a way. I know they refuse to do online orders since they want the drinks made fresh to order, but that seems like a lousy excuse. You can just tell the customers that freshness isn't guaranteed if they don't pick up in a timely manner. I'll give Omomo 4 stars for now. I got my drink 30% sweet but the drink must really rely on the sweetness to taste like green tea. The cheese cream was good. The Ceylon creamomo was so good. My cousin-in-law took me here as she iinsisted I try this tea bar nearby where I was. We arrived at 205pm and there was a long line out the door. We waited about 20 minutes before making to the register to order our drinks. During this time, the line just gets longer as it moves up. We ordered the following drinks; 1. Mango Tornado (i didn't try this as it was my cousin-in-law's drink. It has a layer of cut up mango bits at the bottom, then a cremation in the middle and blended mango puree on top. 2. White Peach Tea w/ aloe vera (50% sweet): The drink itself as a whole is good with the sweet level just right for me. However, the tea is really strong as it left a bitter taste in my mouth after and the aloe vera was not sweet and not crunchy. 3. Uji Green Milk Tea w/ boba (50% sweet): My husband had this drink. He says he enjoyed it as the matcha was mild, however, he also felt the tea was strong leaving a bitter taste in his mouth. He says the boba is soft and lightly sweetened. 4. Strawberry Yakult w/ boba, 80% sweet: a very yummy and light drink for my 9yo son. He enjoyed it but didn't think the boba add on went well with the drink. I'm amazed by how fast I got my order given how busy the tea bar was. It took about 7 minutes for my order to be ready. There is a system in place that seems efficient. Very organized. The line never dies down!!!! We were actually at The Kabon Shop for lunch and saw Omomo's line as we walked in. All throughout our meal the line fluctuated from long to extra long, so we decided to try it after our meal. It does not disappoint!! All 4 different flavors are delicious. I also appreciate that the top of the cup is a foil-y material so I can peel it off and reuse the cup, which is pretty thick and not as weak as some other boba shops. Came here around lunch time and the wait was not too bad (~15 minutes?). I got my favorite, the Omomo matcha with added oreo, and tried the Ococoa, which is one of their seasonal banana drinks. I've reviewed the Omomo matcha already, so i'll focus on the Ococoa: This drink was very fun! It's basically a banana dark chocolate smoothie and tastes like a frozen banana dipped in chocolate. The dark chocolate is not as bitter as I was expecting it to be, but even if it were, the banana sweetens the drink. I made no modifications or add-ons to it, and I don't think you'd really need to.
