This place has always been my go-to for vehicle repairs including smog checks and I have three of them. I've had my alternator, wheel alignment and brakes replaced here. They do the job and I think they do it well. They will fix any mistakes like when they replaced my brakes and it was squeaking. I really want this place to be my go-to car place because it's close to me but after this experience, I probably won't be coming back. I brought in my Camry for a MAF sensor replacement and a throttle body clean and the invoice and my credit card receipt does not match. Also, they charged me $20 more than the quote they gave me over the phone. Beware of the 3.99% service fee that they don't tell you about verbally but apparently post it on their shop. Granted, I should have checked my receipt before I signed the credit card receipt but I trust their word that the total is the invoice total. That was my mistake. Their invoice is also so confusing to read. It's too bad. All I ask for businesses is to be honest with their pricing. How hard could that be? Their service has definitely changed since I brought my car here the first time many years ago. Now I have to find another reputable shop to bring in my vehicles. read more

My wife of less than 48 hours and I just got to Sacramento on our first day of our honeymoon. Things were great as we had a brand new camaro convertible rental car until she lost her wedding band in the A/C vent while applying suntan lotion. They will tell you if you can get the work done at the dealership cheaper and help you with it. They check things and don't charge. They dont add crap in or suggest you do things that are not needed. If I could give a less than a 1 star rating I would. I came to this shop in a desperate state at 7:30 am when my car suddenly overheated and I could not install the part myself. I was quoted over $300 and when I said I had received a quote for half that from a different shop (the other shop was too far away for my broken little car to make it to) the man behind the counter said it would be $300 but would ask the owner if they could price match. I was appreciative of that but I felt that they were taking advantage of a wealthy looking white girl in a desperate situation. I said thank you but no. I'll make my way over to the other place. The owner met me on my way out and confronted me about leaving after he said he would price match. I let him know I was grateful for the price match but I felt that he was taking advantage of my situation. The whole situation left a bad taste in my mouth and something just was not right. I understand the need to make money and pay employees but taking blatant advantage of someone because they look like they have money is wrong and distasteful. If you choose to try this shop make sure you make yourself look disadvantaged first. read more

Okay my car broke down in the middle of nowhere on Thanksgiving day. We were heading Sacramento from O.C. After I called thousands of other car repair shops, I finally found these guys.. They were amazing. Really friendly and they know what they are doing. It was an transmission oil leaking issue. Even after they finished the job they checked the leaking over and over again. Not just a smog shop! My first visit was for a smog check on my '01 Volvo S60 and all went well, quickly, and reasonably. I saw that they did more than smog and since then have taken both the Volvo and my '05 Infinity FX35 in for repairs/maintenance that had been previously suggested (and estimates given) by other shops. Total savings in the last year so far, no joke, are in the thousands. Work recommended by other shops was not yet needed or not needed at all, and work that was required has been performed by Raj & One Stop Smog with great care, speed and savings. Overly strict on smog testing. Went here 3 times. First time I failed because they said the carb sticker on my intake did not cover the year of my car (2009) even though my car is exactly the same engine and body as the years before it(06-08). Only difference between my 09 was the body style, the bumper was different and it had built in mp3 capabilities. So I went ahead and bought an intake with a carb sticker that covered an 09 model. Came back in, got the test done and now they tell me that the breathers I had on my intake caused me to fail because it was a mod and was tampered with. They also asked me to fix a plastic cracked air assist valve that I had fixed with 2 part epoxy(It cracked when I was replacing the intake). So I went ahead and ordered a new air assist valve and replaced it. I go back pay the price of smog and once again there was a problem except this time it was the exhaust manifold. I bought an exhaust manifold in place of my hfc header. I put the stock cat back and a replica manifold and they told me I needed the stock manifold. At this point I just said forget it. I have been wasting my time going back and forth fixing what they told me to fix and I just gave up. I forgot to also mention that they broke my fog light. The wire was torn off from the bottom when they put my car on the lift. I told them my lights weren't working came back and they said they'd replace it. They replaced it with a bulb they said was "laying around" and I asked them if it's the same colored yellow bulb as the ones I had before and they said it was. Well that was a lie because it was a completely different color. I went to another smog shop a week later and guess what, I passed without any problems and it took only 20 minutes. If you want to get smog checked don't come to this shop unless you want them to be nitpicky about every little thing on your car. Go elsewhere if you want to pass. I would have appreciated if they pointed out EVERYTHING that was wrong with my car rather than have me come back 3 times and saying that their was a problem. As soon as they see a problem they immediately stop the smog testing and tell you the problem rather then checking for all the problems and telling you. Waste of time and parts that I had to buy as well as the work that had to be done on my car just to pass this strict as smog shop when I could have bypassed all that work and went to a different shop to pass. This place is solid I came in today for a simple smog test I walked in at 11:15 and walked out at 11:30 with my smog complete and having paid less (no coupons needed) than the other 4 places I called for quotes even after their respective "coupons and specials." I was pleased with their not only their customer service but their sense of urgency I expected to wait 30-45 minutes so when they told me my car was done 15 minutes in I was pleasantly surprised. Really nice guys. Came in to get a smog check and failed because my ECU didn't run all the checks. The suggested everything I should do and I bugged them several times to check my ECU to see if it came back on. They didn't ask me for more payment or were annoyed that I showed up again for the 5th time. When all options were exhausted they replaced the broken parts all in one day. We used to use another shop in Natomas, and when they announced that they were closing, we asked them where we should take our cars. They recommended One Stop without hesitation. I brought my tired old NIssan Altima in yesterday morning for an oil change, and the dreaded "Check Engine Soon" light on. They diagnosed the problem, called me and told me what was required (thankfully, a relatively inexpensive repair) and had my car ready when I picked it up in the afternoon. I had my Crown Vic smogged here. It was a very pleasant experience. The employees were nice and professional got the smog done in about 25 minutes. I had a small hose that had to be replaced but that was about it. The place is a slightly expensive when it comes to smogs, but I would rather pay a little extra and have a comfortable place to wait than a cheap place that's dirty. These guys are great! I took my Toyota Prius in to have some brake work done at 7 AM which was great for me since I was going on a long trip this morning. Since the owner had to wait for the auto parts store to open, I was going to get a Uber driver to give me a ride home until the car was done. He told me to save my money and he gave me a set of keys to one of his cars so I could drive home until my car was finished. These guys always do excellent work and the owner and staff are always friendly and welcoming when you arrive to check in. I have the warehouse across the street from these guys. They just did a smog for me, no problems. $53. Although one of my workers said they screwed him on a smog test when he had the engine light on. the part was $7 and they were going to charge him, like $250 to replace and smog it. read more
