Lucked out and got a table inside with no wait, at this tiny and popular breakfast spot near the hospital. It was a Wednesday in June before 10 am. Husband and I were fortifying before our trip to the Science Museum for free admission day. Tourists! Place your order at the counter, take your number to your table and pretty quickly the meal arrives. I ordered a frittata and my husband had breakfast tacos. The tacos were unique with three large slabs of griddled mozzarella cheese on top of sausage and eggs. It was massive. Three flour tortillas, cheese, eggs and salsa. I ordered the frittata with no meat because they do not offer a non-pork option. It was good but not as filling. Came during lunch happy hour. Honestly pretty disappointing overall. Starting with the positive, the burrito was pretty good (we got it with chorizo). Great flavor and sizable. Only complaint is that it is a very soft/flimsy tortilla and falls apart a bit. The duck fried rice was not very good. It is a bunch of rice with a tiny amount of duck. The coffee was watery and frankly pretty expensive, even before factoring in the upcharge to get refills. Visitors from Los Angeles and we were intrigued with the variety they had in this restaurant! I was selecting restaurants for a big party of friends, which they were kind of tired of just eating hamburgers and bread. So I found this place! It wasn't too busy and we were able to easily find street parking. The interior of the restaurant is pretty cramped which made ordering a bit uncomfortable. Ordered the Vietnamese coffee, duck congee, and chilaquiles and found a seat on the outdoor patio. The food came out relatively quick and I was pleasantly surprised by both the beautiful presentation of the food as well as the taste. The portions were generous and the flavors were amazing. The ordering line was quite long and took some time to get through. And the. You just stand around waiting for a table to open up. I recommend outside as the booths are bigger. Congee is the answer to your scrolling. Just make sure the ginger is well mixed. There are plenty of good options and, surprisingly, many with duck as well. Our group collectively agreed that the warm congee was the best thing we ordered - warm, rich porridge with that velvety taste is food for the soul, especially on colder days. I was surprised by the Chinese roasted duck noodle soup as there were a lot more vegetables than noodles and the balance felt a bit off, but it was still quite hearty (I'd recommend it if you were craving vegetables but not if you were in a noodle fix, perhaps). The breakfast burrito was decent but a bit heavier on the potatoes than expected (very filling though). Things are a bit backwards here compared to other restaurants: order and pay at the front when you get there and then find a table afterwards. Onefold was the FIRST place that was visited upon touchdown in Denver. Heard nothing but great reviews and OMG, they did not disappoint!!! The space inside is quaint but they do have outside patio seating. The dish of choice was Bacon Fried Rice, which the server Sydney informed me they have two sizes. My former Yelp LA West CM wrote a review for this place and I noticed it and I decided to try this place out for myself when I came to Denver. Glad I did! TDLR: Onefold is a great option for the early riser! Enjoyed a late breakfast here this past weekend and the place was PACKED(not hard to do as the restaurant itself is very small). We ordered the breakfast tacos and quesadilla and were very satisfied by the portions, each of us being able to take our entrees home to have the next day as well. We went around 11:30 and got super lucky as another couple was just getting up, so we got to snag a table right away. But, if you're in a hurry or have more than 2 people with you, I wouldn't recommend going here. Overall the experience was good, but I don't think i'll go back. The dining space is cramped and during a rush the staff seems unprepared(this is just my personal opinion as our entrees came out at different times, staff didn't know which tables ordered what, and I had to go up and ask about where my entree was).
