Fun wait and great smell of the food cooking....
    Heidi F.

I guess I got lucky because the wait was very reasonable and I got exactly what I had ordered. Yes, it is surprisingly pricy (even considering the price of meat is really high right now) so minus 1 star, but it is also really good quality meat (the filet mignon is super tender) and the sauce is delicious! Everything was fresh, including the seafood, and good quality. The serving was large enough for 2 people or 2 meals. The smell of the food is insane, and it is a healthy choice with lots of vegetables and lean meats. It was a big hit when I arrived home with dinner. It didn't take too long to cook (and it was fun watching it be cooked on the grill) and the customer service was fine. I will definitely be a regular her

Frist time trying it and the rice is good but they put to much rice then anything else the chicken is good the meat is good and the vegetables where good the only thing I didn't like is that they make you pay extra for lobster and they only give you a little bit and I feel like that's not far to doo cuz your paying extra for that and they knew it was my first time so they should been been like it's a new person let's give them a bit more but No. if I do go again in the future I'm not getting lobster.

The truck appears to have moved to the edge of the Target parking lot at 1811 Hillsdale Ave, San Jose, CA 95124. Their website is down, and their phone number doesn't work. Good luck tracking them down, but hopefully this helps someone in the future. Edit: You can text +1 (408) 876-2910 to get the location of the truck as it seems to vary these days.

Not as good as the real thing but definitely a great place to hold you over to the next birthday celebration lol. FYI - They have moved to the Home Depot parking lot! Tonight I ordered the chicken and shrimp fried rice which had a good amount of both. Pro tip is to order extra garlic butter. Placed my order at 5:50 and had my food by 5:57. Even after I was told it would be 20 minutes. (Please note: I have definitely come late night before and the wait was very long!) As long as you are able to work around the busy times it's totally worth the stop!

This is what $27 buys you lol

First of all don't believe 5 star reviews from fake profiles. This place is horrible. Their quality of food is poor Very overpriced. You are better of at Benihana's Horrible customer service Website service/payment option. Inaccurate time pickups Order chicken and steak combo with fries rice . More like a vegetable combo with 5 pieces of shrimp and dried up chicken. I do not recommend save your money go somewhere else!

People are pretty harsh in their reviews. This isn't Benihana's and the price point and wait time are both in the upper range but those are the negatives. The flavor of the food is good, portion size is decent, and the sauces are delicious. We got steak and chicken with fried rice and veggies. It was enough to feed two people. The steak was more cooked than we wanted but not a big deal. If you want something filling and reminiscent of the restaurant style flavors this is a pretty good option. If you want the service and experience of a restaurant or are big on customer service this definitely isn't your kind of place.

We grabbed the menus ourselves from a nearby table. We originally wanted to try their AYCE, but since the whole table had to participate, and one of us wasn't that hungry, we decided to order a la carte. We're glad we did. The 3 of us were already stuffed after sharing an appetizer and 4 signature rolls. The sweet potato tempura came out piping hot; the batter wasn't too thick. While the dipping sauce lacked flavor, the dish was still ok, and not too oily. We're impressed by the number of signature rolls they offered, and tried to pick something we hadn't seen at other sushi restaurants. My favorite was the lobster tail tempura that came with the Boujee rolls. It was tasty with a light batter. The plating was beautiful. The torched salmon, shrimp tempura and spicy tuna were good as well, but I didn't really see any real crab inside. The Skittles roll was pretty delicious, too. I liked that it had unagi, crab, tobiko, and avocado among other things. The Umami roll also had unagi and carb, but the salmon skin and bonito flakes were what made the roll special. My daughter didn't care for the salmon skin, though. The Black Mamba was interesting if you liked softshell crab. I didn't care for the macadamia nuts, though. Portion size was huge. However, their rolls weren't rolled very tightly nor cut evenly, and their rice was on the sweeter side as other Yelpers had mentioned. Since most of the rolls had similar sauces, they kind of tasted very similar, despite the different ingredients. I wouldn't mind coming back again to try other items on their menu when I'm in the area.

Food: B For the AYCE Premium experience, they offer an extensive list of options to choose from. Adding the premium option unlocks access to the nigiri and special selection. Rolls: These were definitely solid and meet up with the standards around the Bay. So if you have an itch ya need to scratch for good ole 'Murica-style rolls, they gotchu. Special selection: You can only choose one per person. We opted for the Boujee Roll and the Sashimi Salad. The Boujee Roll--an upscale roll made with premium ingredients--was good, and the Sashimi Salad was solid. Nigiri: Left the best for last, but we were disappointed with the quality of this lineup. Knowing that it was the premium addition, the quality wasn't the best--and yes, this is factoring in that it's AYCE, but the texture and taste were still a bit off. Overall, we would come back maybe for the à la carte rolls, or if we do AYCE, we might just stick with the regular option. Everything was courteous and polite and welcoming. The food was not bad either. The Volcano Roll was a new item for us and it was kid-approved instantly. I also got the Warriors Roll and the waitress suggested the Dragon Roll after I decided on eel and not shrimp. The prices are reasonable as well. I took out some points because of the strong soy sauce smell when entering the restaurant. The decoration is not fancy but slightly run down. When I used the restroom, I smelled weed, which is also a point reducer. Other than that, I don't mind ordering from them again.

They have a wide variety of offerings, which made it hard to decide what to order. We decided on the edemame, chicken teriyaki & tempura bento subbed with sashimi, and 2 of their special nigiris. Everything was really good. I loved the chicken teriyaki. The teriyaki sauce wasn't too sweet, and the chicken was seasoned. It's been a while since I've had good teriyaki chicken! The sashimi came with 2 pieces of tuna and 2 pieces of salmon, which were fine, decent size and tasted fresh. The shrimp tempura had a unique breading, not the typical panko, and it was so crunchy. The shrimp seemed more like a prawn. It was much larger and had great freshness and sweetness. Really good! The special nigiris we ordered were the aburi sake toro & engawa yuzu. In general, I thought the fish pieces were pretty skinny. Good rice to fish ratio tho. The salmon toro would probably be better with less sauce. It overpowered the fish, and I couldn't enjoy the fattiness of the salmon. The engawa was supposed to be torched, but it wasn't. It was still good tho. Unfortunately, the sashimi was by far the worst I've ever been served at a restaurant. The fish appeared discolored, old, and slimy. When we asked our server what types of fish were included, we were told tori, salmon, albacore, yet the almost every piece (minus the salmon) had a brownish-gray appearance that was extremely unappetizing. I'm not sure if we happened to receive the last of their inventory for the week, but serving fish in that condition at full price ($60) is kind of crazy. Some of the sashimi looked comparable to raw pork that had been sitting out, which was honestly concerning. The sushi rolls were also disappointing. They were very average, with flavors and quality that reminded me of grocery store sushi. Nothing stood out or justified the price point. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience. I was especially let down because this restaurant came highly recommended by a family member who has dined here multiple times and always had positive experiences. To make matters worse, I developed stomach discomfort within about 15 minutes of leaving the restaurant. I had been looking forward to trying this place, but unfortunately, my experience fell far short of expectations.

The shishito peppers were really tasty, not too hot, pleasantly hot. Edamame was typical, nothing really special, but it's a bit difficult to really elevate edamame. The braised pork was good and the lean parts were easy to selectively eat. Nothing here is aggressively seasoned, but also not at all bland, so it's a good balance of flavorful but not overbearing. Other than the edamame, which was very bland, everything was very flavorful. The pork was very soft, and the sliced thin beef paired really well with the tofu in the niku tofu. Both dishes came piping hot, and were very comforting, like home-cooked food. The shishito peppers came with a lot of bonito flakes; they're charred very well and not spicy at all. Wings well nicely grilled, too. The seafood okonomiyaki was not bad. It's a bit softer than I expected, but had quite a lot of seafood. The large Deluxe Meshi was pretty big. It came in a hot stone pot with a generous amount of salmon, eel, flying fish roe and a poached egg. I loved how crispy the rice around the pot was. No wonder it's their most popular dish.
