Came in today on my lunch and I had to just leave a review and say that the girl who took my order (I think her name was Jessica but I'm not 100% since I just peeked at her nametag) was literally so sweet it made my day. She was just very kind and definitely is someone who deserves some recognition for doing her job so well. This place is pretty good but I wish it had shrimp that wasn't fried. Traditionally, a Hawaiian plate will offer a shrimp that isn't fried so that would be nice. Mac and rice are both good as is the sauce they have off to the side. The fried shrimp wasn't particularly bad or anything, just not really what I expected for Hawaiian BBQ as the only shrimp option. read more

Visited this location yesterday mid-afternoon, about 3pm. I went to order what I usually order at other Ono Locations (specifically the Rancho Cucamonga location), which is the Hawaiian BBQ Mix plate. I was astonished that the cashier said it would be an additional $0.50 to substitute more chopped beef in place of the chicken. I know for a fact, since I have kept my receipts and know what I order EACH TIME I go to an Ono, that this is not a policy practiced at the Rancho or Pomona location. Because of this, I ordered a different lunch plate and the food itself was fantastic! The switch was for the better, because now I found I prefer the chicken katsu instead. The food from Ono always is of the best quality and I do plan on returning. My complaint is that if one store follows a certain policy, shouldn't all the other stores operate the same? The cashier said they've always done it that way but I know that to be contrary to how Rancho operates. One thing I hope improves is the cleanliness of the restrooms, there were no seat covers in the ladies room. I do however plan on returning to other Ono locations. read more

I love the cooking staff here! Working in 911, we don't always have the luxury of actually getting our food after paying but I've been here twice when we've gotten calls dropped on us and they always honor our order when we return (even if it's the next day)...super appreciative to the cooks in particular because they tend to recognize us, remember our orders and have it made sometimes before we even walk through the door! I have always loved Ono Hawaiian BBQ! Their food is delicious and- at least to me- better than other Hawaiian food locations. Their teriyaki chicken and macaroni salad is awesome, as well as their spam masubis. Never a disappointment at this location! The staff are always super friendly, I get greeted every time I walk in through the doors and everyone is always so helpful. Now on to the food... Also never a disappointment! The food is great here and so are the portions. I usually order the fire island chicken, comes with rice, cabbage and macaroni. Food is always cooked fresh so allow about 10 minutes to wait, sometimes I call it in so its ready when I get there. I highly recommend this place... Good for healthy eaters too! read more

Best location ever! Very open space, not to mention very nice looking/updated feel.. not like your other locations. A clear view of the menu, which I always have a problem with other locations and is the main reason I stick to the usual. Tried island fire chicken, very yummy! Clean bathrooms.. even the water runs smooth from the faucet! Lol Great customer service. I believe the manager was helping with the front. Very nice. Wished I lived closer to this location. Usually come here about once every 2 weeks and have no problems. However, I specifically ordered chicken dish with all salad but got cabbage with chicken instead around 7pm on July 14, 2017. The cashier did have to verify with a coworker if I could get all salad instead of rice and cabbage. Talked to someone who seems to be in charge, but he just said "Oh, Sorry." Don't think I will be back soon. Came back and had a positive experience this time. Guess there was miscommunication when the order was placed. Prices are too much for what's given to you. I would rather pay $6 vs nearly $9 for grilled chicken & rice at a normal teriyaki bowl place. The portions are smaller here than most Hawaiian BBQ places that I've gone to. In any place that serves meat of any type you might come across 1 bite of inedible fat, but I came across 3 in 1 sitting. I always come to this Ono because it is closest to my house and work. I've never had any issues until today. I made a phone order during my lunch for pick up I asked for the beef plate with 2 scoops or mac and 2 scoops of rice, with no veggies. When I got to my work I noticed they didn't change anything to the order so I didn't get what I asked for. I was very disappointed because I don't like how the veggies make the beef taste and so my entire lunch was ruined. I called to see if I can take this plate back and maybe get a new one when I get off work but the person on duty put me on hold for like 10 min and then told me he manager said all he can do is give me one scoop of rice. Which is very disappointing because I don't like how the beef taste with the veggies. I don't think I can return to this store if the manager on duty can't even take a second to speak to a disappointed customer over the phone. read more
