Incredibly disappointed with this office. Our experience at first was great--happy with the…read moredentist, happy with the techs, happy with their care. Fast forward to my son's last appointment. It was for a cavity. My husband takes him as I could not attend due to pregnancy and the nitrous oxide gas. His appointment was at 10 AM and they take him back (10:30) and start drilling. No x-rays beforehand. Mind you, the last time they took x-rays of this tooth was in August. This appointment was in April, so almost an 8 month difference. Wow! We follow their lead though, because they're the professionals. They are drilling, and after an HOUR of drilling on my son (whose 5 btw), they stop and tell us that he actually doesn't need a cavity, he instead needs a root canal and a crown. My husband called me to relay this information and I immediately said no--this is not what this appointment was for. A crown and a root canal are a huge deal for a 5 year old IMO, and I would want a second opinion. Sure enough the dentist (who was not Dr. Butler, I'm not sure of her name) tells us that they've already been drilling the tooth for an hour so he HAS to do it. We can't just leave with a hole in his tooth. ?!?!?? After 30 minutes of me calling other dentist offices going back and forth trying to get a second opinion, we came to a decision to do the crown and root canal. My husband tells the dentist and I'm on speaker phone. She then says, "Unfortunately it's too late to perform this procedure today, so we'll just give you a temporary filling and you can schedule another appointment." So after ALL of that, my poor child had to go without food for almost 3 hours, get his tooth drilled for an hour, and leave with an ugly looking temporary filling to fill the hole which was not very secure as they told us he would need work to fix it ASAP. Not to mention, we had to pay $150 for absolutely NOTHING. Just drilling and making a hole, which was 100% preventable had they done x-rays before hand instead of going off of multiple month old x-rays. After this experience, we will no longer be attending this office. I called the front desk to cancel the future appointments I made, and guess what? They didn't have them in their schedule. I made it clear to cancel all future appointments because we weren't coming back and the front desk lady couldn't have cared less. Didn't even ask if i wanted to reschedule. This was also the second time they didn't have an appointment down for me. Yikes! Stay far away.

She had no problem getting my son's X-ray's and then we Dr. Martinez checked out my son's teeth it was equally an enjoyable experience. We absolutely love Little Sprout and how we've felt like part of their ecosystem since my son was 6 months old. Thank you to all the amazing staff for all they've ever done for our family!

Dr. Martinez and his staff are amazing, they are always so friendly and they make baby girl feel so comfortable. She had a cleaning her 6 month check up a couple days ago and forgot to post about it. So doing so now, they have an arcade in the waiting area which is so cool, and plenty of seating for everyone. The parking is a bit small and it looks like a house from the front on Brea Blvd. its such a cute dentist office. They have tvs on the ceilings with movies playing they had red panda which is one of our favorites. They did xrays and cleaning and no cavities for baby girl again yay. She loves coming here, I enjoy bringing her, Dr. Martinez usually comes in at the end after they do the cleaning and xrays. Thank you always for your friendliness and making our kids feel at ease and comfortable. Been coming here for a while now, will continue to bring baby girl here for as long as we can. I noticed a few of my Yelp friends come here too that's awesome :) Have a beautiful day, be kind to everyone Aloha

The pricing was also very reasonable compared to other offices we looked into. The dentist (Dr. David Lee) took the time to explain everything thoroughly and provided us with a lot of helpful information. Most importantly, he was patient, gentle, and kind with my child throughout the visit. Since my little one is very shy around anyone outside of our family, I was honestly quite nervous about this first dental appointment. But everything went much more smoothly than I expected. Of course, my child was crying from the moment we walked into the lobby--haha--but the staff handled it so calmly and professionally. I'm grateful that they made my child's first dental experience such a positive one. I will definitely be recommending this office to many of my friends and family. From the moment we arrived, Dr. Lee was caring and compassionate. He communicated every step clearly and made sure our daughter felt comfortable throughout -- from the numbing gel and injection to the drilling, extraction, and filing. The office has movies playing, stuffed animals to hold, and attentive staff who genuinely made the experience less intimidating for a young child. In my experience with older kids, many dentists prefer to limit continuous dental work to 20-30 minutes depending on the child's tolerance. Thanks to our daughter's patience and Dr. Lee's efficiency, we were able to complete two significant procedures -- one on each side -- in just 45 minutes. The billing process was equally impressive. The staff clearly explained our insurance benefits and any potential remaining balance upfront. Of course, final costs can vary based on what X-rays and the physical exam reveal, but there were no surprises. Dr. Lee also walked me through multiple treatment options before and during the procedure, which I really appreciated. Fortunately, the least invasive option ended up being sufficient. We look forward to continuing care with Dr. Lee for our children.

On the first visit, he was scheduled for treatment, but when we arrived, the treatment was not provided. Later that day, I received a call apologizing and was told he needed an exam before treatment. While inconvenient, I understood and agreed to come back the next day. During the second visit, the doctor then stated he may need to see a specialist and did not want to work on the tooth until we saw one. We followed that recommendation and saw the specialist, who was confused about why he was referred and confirmed there was nothing wrong with the tooth. Lollipop Doctor advised she would make a small retainer to replace the missing/chipped tooth so my son wouldn't have a visible gap. We were then sent upstairs for a 3D X-ray, but instead of my son receiving treatment, I was pulled aside and given a consultation about braces -- which we were never there for. I requested to speak with an office manager on March 24th and, to this date, I have never received a call back. However, the office continues to call me and text me about starting braces, which is extremely frustrating considering my concerns were never addressed. This entire experience felt disorganized, misleading, and more focused on selling orthodontic treatment than addressing my child's actual dental issue. Due to this experience, I will not be bringing any of my children back to this office.
