Man, I really love the spicy tuna from this place. It's always so fresh, flavorful, and has the perfect amount of spice. Sometimes spicy tuna can be way too hot, to the point where you can't even enjoy the actual flavor of the fish, but this place gets the balance just right. You get the kick of the spice without it overpowering the freshness and quality of the tuna. The salmon sashimi is also really good--fresh, clean, and incredibly satisfying. The eel is another standout for me, with that rich flavor and perfect texture that makes it hard to stop after just one bite. What I really appreciate is how fresh everything tastes. You can tell there's care put into the ingredients and preparation, and the quality really comes through. There are honestly still so many things on the menu I need to try, which gives me plenty of reasons to keep coming back. Every visit makes me want to explore more of the menu, and I already know there are probably a few more favorites waiting for me to discover. In the app, it says "West Sunset Blvd", but that took me to someone's house. It's just "Sunset Blvd". On UberEats, this restaurant is called Nikko Sushi. On Yelp, Orange Door Sushi. Google calls it Orange Door-Nikko Sushi. And I didn't even get any sushi. Go figure. I liked everything I got from Nikko/Orange Door but it all needed some editing. Except my sprite. My $2 can of Sprite was perfect. ;) Their masubi is solid but to be clear, it isn't masubi. It's a piece of spam on rice with seaweed thinly wrapped in the middle nigiri style. It's cool but definitely shouldn't be called masubi since it's missing all the flavoring. The Chicken teriyaki is weird to call a bowl when it doesn't come in a bowl, but clearly names are not important here. It had an interesting array of veggies on the side but overall I enjoyed this dish. To be fair though, it also needed flavoring though so I added gochuchang and garlic aioli to make it perfection. So funny that nothing quite matched the description but hey! I liked everything I had so no complaints there. It's a decent sushi fix in the area. I believe ownership has changed since nothing is the same as before. Plain shredded imitation crab on top of rolls and thin fried wonton strips on tempura rolls as the crunch factor. The spicy chicken isn't the tasty chicken it used to be and the spam musubi is not seared anymore. Many things have changed in the course of 6 plus years but it's still an okay option in the area. I messed up and tried canceling my order literally like a minute or two after it was place and was charged $28 for cancellation because they had already "prepped my food". HA. DO NOT HAVE ANY IDEA WHAT CUSTOMER SERVICE IS! My Boyfriend and I ordered on August through Postmates. This is how careless the manager or owner of this business is about their customers... Instead of calling Postmates (Which NOW we regret). We called the restaurant to let them know 2 items were missing... She talked to someone in charged they realized the mistake, and asked us if we could go pick it up. We ordered delivery because we didn't want to drive so they offered to give us store credit if we ever want to order again from them or pick up. Today Sunday SEP7th we called around 7pm. Because we were planning on doing another big order, and have the 2 last missing items from that last order being added to the new order. She told us to call back when The Manager gets back. When we told her the date, and time we ordered (Because she asked) She literally said "at 6pm?" "What's that? Evening or day time?" (HAHAHHA I WAS LIKE IS SHE SERIOUS??? NONESENSE QUESTION... but anyways....) We replied and she said after: "I WAS HERE THAT DAY. I GOT NO ORDERS FROM POSTMATES" I told her we were planning to order right now, and we want to have the 2 missing items added to our order AND she's like "WELL CALL BACK IN 1 HOUR... mmmm 2HOURS" (I was shocked. Who would be willing to wait that long to order? Getting that Treatment after spending over 100dlrs????!! And keeping up with becoming a regular?
