The food was pretty but that's all.

Honestly, I wanted to love this place because it was local and my fave hibachi spot is in Van Nuys so it would've been nice to have some good hibachi closer but unfortunately I was not pleased. I don't have an issue paying $30 or more for a plate of good hibachi or at least a plate that has a decent portion size but this place had neither. We ordered pick up through Yelp and the estimated time it would be done was 30 mins, once I arrived I waited ANOTHER 30 mins because they said the kitchen was backed up. We finally get home and I'm so excited. The presentation is beautiful, I will admit that but the flavor and everything else fell short. We asked for our steak medium rare and it was well done. Oh & the food was cold when we started eating. We live about 10 mins away so I don't understand how our food was already cold. I was not a fan as much as I wanted to be.

The food was excellent. I ordered a couple rolls, sashimi, and chicken katsu curry. All dishes exceeded my expectations. The drinks were well balanced as well. The vibe is awesome inside; there's lofi playing at a nice level and the lighting is beautiful. It feels like an elevated experience right when you walk in. We didn't wait long as it was a Sunday afternoon, and our waitress was so helpful in deciding what to order (the menu is extensive!). We got the baked scallop roll, the crunch spider roll, and the Baja California roll. All three were amazing!!!! We also got spicy tuna crispy rice and the gyoza to start. I am not joking when I say they were the best restaurant gyoza I've had in Los Angeles. Juicy, warm, nice golden crisp on the bottom, and flavorful filling. The baked scallop roll was my personal favorite of the three; it was warm and savory, with an excellent bite from the juicy scallops. It was a great contrast to the Baja roll, which is cold and has crunchy elements to it. And the spider roll was one I didn't expect to like (my boyfriend wanted it), but ended up being my second favorite! The soft shell crab flavor is deliciously salty and pairs great with the surrounding flavors. I'll definitely be back for more!

It was busy inside but still got seated without waiting. Insane quality of fish not one single item I ordered had an off taste. The fast that my spicy mayo and ponzu was full when I left goes to show how insanely well they prepared the food sauce wise. Overall great place I will be back to try more things for sure. All this food double the salmon roe and scallop sushi because it was that good I had to go for round 2 but all this for 80$ was insaneeeee!!!!! And of course leave tip lol. For sure coming back!

We had an rsvp but wasn't busy when we arrived. Was sat immediately and served water. They have a pretty extensive menu of most things you'd find at a sushi cut roll spot. We ended up ordering the toro garlic toast, veggie tempura, ginza roll, and several pieces of nigiri sushi. The toro garlic toast was pretty good - sort of like a spicy tuna crispy rice situation ... but a little fattier and more garlicky than crispy. The ginza roll was pretty good too - a lot of fish in the roll and wasn't overwhelming with too much sauce. The tempura was good too- not super oily and all your typical veg involved. The nigiri sushi were pretty well prepared. The size was pretty good for the price - and each were accompanied by a small garnish on top or a little bit of sauce brushed on. All in all - I wouldn't say it's a date night place, but is a good easy eats sushi spot for rolls and nigiri for the price. Would recommend!

It's one of the healthier options in the area, the staff is always incredibly polite, and the food is consistently fresh. I usually order a spicy tuna roll along with a few other rolls, but I've also had the fried rice and crispy rice, and they've all been excellent. I did have one small incident where I bit into a tuna scale that had made its way into my spicy tuna roll. It definitely caught me off guard, but honestly, it wasn't a dealbreaker. If anything, it reminded me that they're working with fresh fish. I let the staff know just so they were aware, and without me asking, they removed the roll from my bill. That level of customer service was genuinely appreciated. The restaurant is always clean, welcoming, and a place I look forward to visiting on my lunch breaks. As I'm writing this, I'm actually getting hungry thinking about my next visit. Thank you to the entire team for the great food and even better hospitality. I'll definitely be back.

We ordered the yellowtail special, salmon roe, and salmon nigiris which were all good. We also ordered the salmon skin handroll and party roll, again both good. We then added a Gentlemen roll and the Baby Yellowtail Sashimi Special which were also solid. The non-sushi item that was end up ordering was the veggie tempura. I liked the tempura because the vegetables were cut into large pieces, yet were fried perfectly tender. The batter was also crispy and not heavy. Overall, a solid sushi restaurant.

I ordered a special order of the house special. The server may or may not have told me it was on the buffet. It's okay, this way my mom has leftovers to take home. She was a little disappointed because there were too many bell peppers and no tofu. Everything was hot and delicious on the buffet. I was the last person to eat. Curry had the right amount of kick. Yakisoba wasn't quite the noodles I'm used to but the flavor and ratio of vegetables were good. Chicken karaage was super tender and delicious. Probably my favorite. Gyoza and California rolls. The restaurant is beautiful. Very spacious and much more seating. Booths, long tables and chairs, patio seating and a private room. A beautiful mural with the owners Mom and Auntie adorn the wall. The only down side is no ADA bathroom. The bathrooms are down 1 flight of stairs. There is no elevator. A staff member had to take us to the building next door to let us in the bathroom. Then they have to wait there to walk us out. There were NO toilet seat covers or one square of toilet paper in the three stalls of the women's bathroom. There was also an abandoned ice machine in front of the women's door so my 99 year old mother's walker wouldn't fit and I had to walk her in. What if it was a wheelchair? Anyway, I had to ask for toilet paper and luckily the men's room had some. But very inconvenient for any ADA customers.
