This is a super cute and quaint place to have a delicious omelet, smoothly and/or coffee. We really enjoyed the experience! It is a mom & pop place with a lot of history! Been coming to the locally famed and acclaimed Orange Inn for as long as I can remember but even more so now that I live nearby. Every one of my weekend mornings has been started here with an iced oat milk mocha and almond croissant (but I do love their ham and cheese, chocolate, and muffins as well... try their seasonal pumpkin muffins you will NOT regret it..) before admiring the view by Oceanfront and Cleo and heading down the stairs for a lovely morning stroll along the shore. Orange Inn has some of the freshest and most delicious pastry options and regular hot food options and is truly a Laguna Beach (and all of OC!) gem. It's mostly a walk up window these days but service is always quick and friendly. Parking--as with all of Laguna--is dreadful but get there bright and early (before 8 am) and you should be able to secure a street spot right in the cul de sac it's on or on Cleo across the Ralph's. read more

This little shop packs a big punch! I have been hearing about it for a while, and when I drive by I think of giving it a shot so yesterday I did. They have a large selection of items, but I decided on a simple burger with cheese and chips. They also recommend the chicken burger, which I more than likely will give a shot next time. They have a little bench to sit on outside while waiting, which was nice because it makes it clear where you should wait for your food. When I opened the container and picked up the burger I was pleasantly surprised. It was a little pricey, but it was also a hefty burger! I was completely full after finishing the meal, so it was more than enough. It was suppose to come with salsa and chips, but they only gave me the chips but no salsa. Two star because of the not friendly and rude person that works there. I live in Laguna for years and It appears others have had the same experience from the short dark hair older lady with a mask on. She had no patience even though it was only one customer behind us. She just want to rush you with placing your order, wash you off the front register and collect your money without even taking time or even showing any interest to answer any of your questions. Good food without a pleasant staff means nothing. This place really need to rethink having this lady deal with the public. It's a sad because this place was once so great. read more

I always love stopping at the Orange Inn! It's such a cute location and the steak breakfast burrito is my newest favorite. Ive been bringing people here since I first tried it 3 years ago. I used to get the IO Breakfast burrito which is also amazing. My only complaint is the difficult parking situation since it can get pretty busy with everyone trying to park for the beach and on PCH but there's a few spots outside the restaurant you can try to grab. Over both days we got the breakfast burrito, the strawberry lemonade mimosa, a coffee, a spinach egg and cheese cwahsont, and the oatmeal. Couldnt complain it was great. She flips a switch to pour on the charm quickly for locals. My simple question of which sugar free syrups they had was met with huffing and cutting me off. She chided my friend for paying with a large bill and had three insults for her over trying to pay with a large bill. We are tourists, and this is a holiday weekend. Just took my crew in for a Friday lunch today at the classic Orange Inn. The atmosphere is so authentic, it defines funky beach casual. The menu has grown, but the old favorites are still there. I had the Laguna Tuna on wheat toast. It tasted like 1971 all over again. Bursting with flavor. Then we were greeted by the owner, John Bodrero, who shared how he came about buying the Orange Inn. I'd travel halfway across the country for the O.I. Breakfast Sandwich! Who knew that something so simple could be done with such perfection to the point where it's unbelievably delicious. I always like to get my sandwich on sourdough, which they do a great job with lightly toasting. The eggs are also perfectly cooked with cheese on top. The sand which also comes with tortilla chip, a delicious little side of Pico de Gallo, and an orange slice. Laguna beach is one of my favorite areas. I found Orange Inn on yelp and strolled in on a Sunday afternoon. I immediately liked the space. Clean, airy, and warm colors of brown, blue and green greeted me. The menu is simple with meals mostly ranging from $10-12. The orange juice is freshly squeezed but in need of some ice to keep it chilled. The coffee was burnt but maybe that's how the locals like it. The ham, cheese and egg croissant was okay. Flakey croissant that was a little too hard on the edges. Cheese and eggs were tasty and the ham was a bit chewy for my preference. The potatoes looked great but were mushy and undercooked and under-flavored. The food Immd rate a 3 at best, but the atmosphere and staff improve my rating. I like the relaxed melodies and lighting. Old photos of laguna grace the walls and surfboards roof the ceiling. Overall a nice spot to try. There is parking available for you while you dine but only a few spaces. I probably won't be back because I want to try the other local options, however I am glad I tried this place at least once. read more

Terrible customer service. All the staff were extremely rude and rushed you to order. Food was mid.

We had the chocolate croissant, ham and cheese croissant, almond croissant, and oat bran muffin to go for a total of about $20. The best out of the bunch were the ham and cheese and chocolate. Very good. The muffin wasn't great. Unfortunately the server dumped everything in one bag and only individually packed the ham and cheese. This resulted in the muffin breaking apart with the top coming off and the almond croissant losing its ends. Annoying! All in all it is close and in our case was convenient, and a fine alternative to anything farther away that is better. read more
