I was literally obsessed with finding a good breakfast burrito in Laguna Beach. I looked on uber eats and most of the places were chain restaurants with huge fees ... then I decided to use yelp to search 'best breakfast burrito'. This was one of the places that came up ... after scanning reviews and seeing how close it was to my hotel, I was on my way. I planned to eat on the balcony of my hotel, so I did not mind that this was basically a stand and did not offer seating. There are a couple of communal benches outside but you wouldn't want to eat on them as the line and waiting area is right next to the benches, so people will be standing in front of you while you eat. Without further ado, let me tell you that this was one of the best breakfast burritos I have ever had. It was perfect in the taste ... portion ... proportion ... and construction. It was a steak and egg breakfast burrito with avocado added. All in, it was around $15, which is not a great value, at all. However, inflation is real ... and most other spots charged the same. It's sad that I can remember only 3 years ago (pre-pandemic) a breakfast burrito was around $8. Not blaming the restaurant because it is on par with others but that is the world we live in. 3 eggs were used, perfectly cooked hash brown-style potatoes, just enough marinated steak and fresh avocado. It was rolled up perfectly and stayed together as I ate it. It was served piping hot/freshly made to order. The only 'blah' part is they offered hot sauce in little packets ... I'd have expected a cup of fresh made. I also had a date shake ... something that you can only find in California. It was made with vanilla ice cream, honey and dates. It was as good as any milkshake I have had, although more of an ice cream type of product than the ones I have had in Palm Springs, which were a little more smoothie-like. The coffee was also good compared to what was at the hotel. Laguna Beach's best coffee though? I hope not. Overall, I'd come back here anytime for breakfast. Not sure how the pastries were but they looked just okay. There is an authentic french bakery just up the road I'd go to over this one for pastry. Thanks for the perfect breakfast burrito ... I found this place on Yelp and am very happy I did. It was just what I was looking for. It is an unfunny menu with basic options, something for everyone. The only issue I have is that it is not accessible. There is a giant step to get in and no handrail so I needed help getting in and out. Steak breakfast burrito Chorizo breakfast burrito 2 cups of coffee Steak had good size pieces (cubes, not shreds) and very good flavor, tenderness for a burrito was just right. Good ratio of egg and steak. Potatoes inside tasted good Chorizo was perfectly spicy and the sour cream definitely made it more enjoyable along with the pico. Our first time here Thanksgiving weekend 2023. Not sure why the inside dining was closed, perhaps not enough staff??? The older couple female/male were bickering not sure if they were spouses or not. It was a bit cool waiting, sitting and eating outside on the only wooden bench at 6am with the morning ocean breeze, would have been nice to sit inside. However, for now, there is no sit-in dining available; you place your order at the window and pick up your food at the same window. The woman with shoulder-length black hair at the window wasn't very friendly. Definitely not someone I wanted to start my morning with LOL. I got the ham and cheese croissant and it was good. Nothing too crazy, but it was good. The croissant was perfectly delicate and flaky. I thought everything on the menu was fairly expensive, and the croissant was probably not worth $7. Orange Inn is a great, affordable option for lunch or breakfast when in Laguna Beach. We typically order ahead for pick-up and take our meals to the beach using the Cleo St. entrance. Everything is simple and fresh - definitely try the fresh-squeezed orange juice or lemonade, breakfast burritos, and the turkey club! I haven't tried many of the baked goods, but the croissants are excellent. They recently re-opened their indoor seating area, which is rarely ever packed, and they also have a few picnic tables outside. read more

Looking at their menu while standing at the counter was an absolute waste of time. Nothing was vegan, and she could have easily just told me that. So, I just got an organic coffee, I asked "no lid, please." The lady wearing the mask said "nope, gotta give you a lid if I place this on the counter." Their breakfast burger is lights out... you'll know this as soon as you pull up because there will be a line out the door and down the street if your not in the line before they even open... Our experience on 7/13/2024 was not good. This place had fried the bacons previously and then warmed it up in probably in a microwave oven quickly, it smelled awful. I asked three times please make sure "no butter" on my English muffin. Give it to me as dry. Yet they brought it buttered. Service was ok but the place was dirty. Super cute and small restaurant that you can only order from a window and they will bring out your order. This place has been around for some time. I ordered a Latte and coffee with cream. The coffee is very good. Smooth and well balanced. They have a variety of fresh baked goods baked in-house and breakfast and lunch. From what I saw, it looks good but I will be coming back to try a pastry and something from the lunch menu. I will update my review once o try those items. I only have 4 stars just because I only tried the coffee so far. Part 2: I orders two chorizo, egg and potatoes burrito and a cinnamon roll to go. The burritos were huge and very generous with the ingredients inside the burrito. My husband and I shared one burrito and saved the second for breakfast the next day. I have to come on here to say that this place is only known for their sandwiches or something. I didn't get one but the person next to me did and it looked decent. I got the nachos with guacamole, pico de gallo and sour cream. I wish I had a picture of the food that came out but let me tell you what it was, it was tortilla chips on top of what tasted like canned beans topped with yellow shredded cheese and microwaved for about a minute. The sides were in small to go containers, a chip held all of the pico in it so please believe me when I say it was small. I asked the woman who took my food to my table if I could bother her for more pico and she said " uh, I could give you one more" so she went to the back grabbed another small serving in a SMALL plastic container and yelled out "your pico de gallo is here"..I walked two steps for a full serving for one more chip. Best breakfast in Laguna Beach! We have ordered takeout many times and their OI breakfast burrito is by far our favorite in town. Their scrambled eggs are the fluffiest I've ever tasted, and I love the careful composition of their OI breakfast burrito which spreads a thin layer of refried vegetarian beans on the tortilla and then wraps the delicious fluffy eggs, avocado, cheese and salsa Fresca in one amazing burrito. Their fluffy omelettes are also amazing and breakfast sandwich is stuffed with avocado, sprouts and again those magical fluffy eggs. And those signature orange slices with every plate are always so ripe and sweet (vs most places where the side fruit always seems an afterthought garnish / leftover quality). We also have tried some of their lunch sandwiches including their famous Lagoona Toona and Veggie Burger -- they were decent but admittedly we prefer their breakfast items. Their orange muffin is epic and all the other pastries in the window look pretty tasty. Service is always very friendly and the only issue I had was a logistical one especially when there is a long line (which is often!), there is no separate window for pickup orders. However, they have remedied this now by allowing payment over the phone and ask you to call when you arrive to pickup so they will bring it out your order -- it's a much smoother process now! read more

Loved this little roadside gem! We were starving, and I was instructed to find a place with steak and eggs. We'll, this little place doesn't look like much, but the quality of the food and drinks was great! We did street parking about a block away pretty easily. Indoor seating here was not open, which was a little disappointing, but they have a little back patio we are on. Had 2 freshly baked chocolate croissants, which were full of chocolate and very flaky. Then we each had the orange inn smoothie, which was full of berries and tasty. We each had a steak burrito, which had potatoes in it too! I love when they put potato in the burrito.
