Finding a reliable, easy to use DTLA cleaning company was a mission (wanted a company that was used to buzzing into an apartment building, finding parking etc) but luckily I was referred to Oranges & Lemons from a fellow DTLA'er and they were exactly what I was looking for. Ontime, reliable, competent, friendly, polite, thorough, eager to please and quick. 3hours for a 1bed 1 bath for $75. It was also super easy to book and pay for. My experience with O&L is probably the best I enjoy cleaning but things just got outta hand. I'll spend a whole day cleaning but then get distracted. Never finishing but just left in frustration. I'm lazy, yes very lazy. So my place was all cluttered up with the usual dust problem. These ladies literally dust and wipe off every single thing. Our bathroom and kitchen is cleaner than when we first moved in! I had a mountain load of dishes and that was all done, dried, and organized. I use the dishwasher as a dish rack and they went above and beyond to organize all of it into my cabinets. O&L is so much more than a cleaning service in my book. I'm definitely going to use their services again and again annnddddd again until we move out of DTLA. I love Oranges & Lemons. LOVE THEM. They are not only affordable, but allow you to customize your cleaning needs. The team is so lovely and pleasant to deal with and I can't begin to express how happy my husband and I have both been with their work. Our home sparkles after they leave. Somehow they are able to make our floors shine and free of the dog hair that wants to carpet it. I absolutely love this cleaning service. The ladies are so sweet and do a wonderful and very thorough job.The price is very reasonable for the area and I love that they give you the option to do a full clean, just bathroom/kitchen or floors only. You can also add on things like inside your fridge, your oven, or a window cleaning. Booking online is super easy and they are great at keeping in touch and letting you know if you will be early or late. Last week I became ill right before they were going to come and the manager was so nice about it she let me cancel 1 hour before the scheduled service and said she would never charge a cancellation fee. I really only use them about once per month and since I am relatively clean I find that the job they do really lasts. I also have my building let them into my unit while I am at work and never worry about the security of my things - these are great people :) highly recommend! read more

They're awesome. Super punctual and if running 10 minutes late they will text you. I'm incredibly type-A and neurotic about cleaning and Oranges & Lemons delivers! Also, they send 2-3 people for my small 650 sq ft loft so they get it done in 2 hours and I can get on with my day (although I 100% trust them -- I've just been too lazy to arrange a key drop off so I usually let them in and then go run errands). read more

Honestly, I have lost my trust in house cleaning services because occasionally I would find out that some of my important items would be thrown into the trash bag, or they would be placed into wrong places. I will start at the end: the very first time O/L were hired to come bring their clean team here... I found myself in tears of unending gratitude right after they departed. Their love, care, devotion, respect, and GIGANTIC code of excellence was palpably evident in every single detail. That day there was a small army (5 utterly extraordinary women) who literally took my breath away with their humanity and kindness. Such a group of talented humans, who were doing this job with an intense fervor to do right by each client, while they were working towards larger goals for their own work. (Hence we were impelled to send one of the women home with a free computer as an offering towards her life's work and passions!) As someone who had cleaned homes once upon a time myself while working for the greater good, I was moved to see their fire. *And* their degree of teamwork and open hearted support of each other pretty much broke my heart open with joy. They had genuine respect for each other and were like a merry band of whirling dervishes, leaving endless waves of sparkling clean in their wake. We have a gorgeous, giant space-- and the love they poured into it made our home dazzlingly fulfilled in its own magnificent potential. Please note: The degree of my elation is matched by what we went through in hiring other cleaning services before finding Oranges and Lemons. In one word: tragic. Every other company would send out one person who would invariably show up late, lost, chain smoking, arguing with someone on their cell, and already in a state of chaos before they even began the job. (And you can imagine the lack of personal investment each of those individuals had in doing a great job.) "Oops , sorry, forgot to mop." or "I am really tired, I think I want to go home now. Sorry." Um, what? (and how inhumane of the company to send one person to do a job that takes three people.) This happened multiple times unfortunately, until we found our heroes at O/L!!! They even arrive in one smooth team unit, in one vehicle. It is really awe-inspiring, their whole model is so darn efficient. We now have our whole compound of lofts using Oranges and Lemons and would never dream of using any other company again. Cost-effective, trustworthy, and their team is even a dream to book with and communicate with. In these times in which we live, having people who care, which is to say: an all around beautiful experience with a company, their quality, and their team is invaluable. In a few words: friendly, super detail oriented and quality cleaning. Two smiling friendly ladies arrived on time (on short notice at that!!) and thoroughly cleaned every part of my apartment. They came well prepared to battle the hard water and dust and the mixed floors (tiles, wood, carpet) that comes with dtla living. My shower doors were so clean that I bumped my head trying to look in. They left my apartment smelling clean, dust free and no la water residue anywhere. The floors were double cleaned with the mighty mighty dyson and with a swiffer-like mop. I would definitely recommend them and will definitely use them again. read more
