Oregano's has amazing staff who have fun. The food is great, especially the salads. We go weekly at least!

We really enjoyed this place. Great family atmosphere and great menu selection. We were passing through and stay at the hotel next door. Would definitely stay again if we are ever in the area. I wanted to have Oreganos and since the location closest to me was closed for remodeling I drove to this location which is a little out of the way. I ordered a large pizza for carry out, When I picked up the pizza it looked so dry and felt like an empty box. I didn't want to be a jerk to the sweet girl ringing me up so I just paid and left. The pizza was dry, nothing on it, no cheese, no sauce, no toppings, just like a dry cracker. I am extremely disappointed because I already feel like it is expensive pizza and to not get any toppings and have basically a thin dry cracker I probably won't go back. read more

After a long day of driving and ziplining at the Grand Canyon, we were tired and HUNGRY. We stopped at this Oregano's restaurant, which was near our motel in Flagstaff. This was our first time ever eating at an Oregano's restaurant, so we didn't know anything about them. Let me tell you, what a wonderful experience! Our waiter was Quynton. He was patient, helpful, and friendly. He was like a friend we didn't know we had, who knew exactly what we were there for and he made spot-on suggestions for food choices. The restaurant was clean, the wait time was just a few minutes, the food was spectacular, and the employees were great. We would definitely refer our friends and family to this Oregano's restaurant and we look forward to eating here again on our next trip to Flagstaff... read more

Went on New Years nite, very busy but got a seat at the bar and decided to eat there. After a high calorie holiday I was so glad to see a pile of leafy greens. The big salad was fresh, green and delicious. The Serrano dressing is a must. Also had the thin crust Mediterranean pizza. It hit the spot for sure. The staff was very nice and friendly, and the atmosphere was awesome. My children and I had a fun time playing "I spy" with all the vintage decor. My cons are the food took a really long time to get to us, but it was lunch time rush so that could have been why. I thought lunch time prices were a little high and the food was just okay to my taste, but my kids loved it and it was all in all a good experience. read more

Although we came at a moderately busy time you can taste that the chef was rushing all of his meals everything was undercooked and poorly prepared. The chef needs to learn to keep his cool so that his emotions are in portrayed on to the plate. Sautéing does not mean steaming and then throwing it into a cast iron skillet to serve. Calamari should never be chewy. And the fried zucchini was still raw. read more

Staffing: Overall, Oreganos was a great experience, the servers were extremely nice and accommodating. We were working on a group project at the time that we ate and the entire staff was super courteous, understanding, and even excited to participate. Our server, Sara, was awesome and very attentive. However, it did seem like she was overwhelmed and really busy, so maybe a few more servers at that location would be ideal. Food: On this trip to Oreganos, I decided to try the bowl of pasta ("bollo pasta") which is fairly cheap considering you can get an unlimited number of bowls of pasta for around 9 dollars. However, I asked my server if I could get fettuccini noodles, and pesto mixed with alfredo rather then angel hair and marinara sauce and she said yes; however, when I received my pasta, I did not get the fettuccini noodles I had asked for. Then when I received my bill, I noticed an additional 99 cents per sauce I asked for rather than the marinara sauce; however, I was not notified of this while I was ordering. Other then those two mishaps, my bill was still fairly cheap considering the additional two sauces added to my bill, and the food was still amazing per usual. This was the first time I tried this meal, and it did not fail to disappoint! Authenticity: Oregano's was not so much an authentic Italian restaurant, I would more so identify it as an American-Italian restaurant. It is more of a chain restaurant which makes it a bit more commercialized. It was authentic in its decor and its ambiance, which was a very fifties diner style. However, the food was different from what I am used to. I had the Chicken Scampi, which had lemons, tomato, chicken, and cilantro. The pasta was very tasty only a bit low in garlic sauce which made the pasta a bit dry. It had a cozy atmosphere, which would be great for family dinners or parties. The staff was very approachable and nice. They were, however, a bit delayed in bringing us our drinks on our bill. Overall I would definitely recommend Oregano's to other European people because it offers a great look into Italian-American culture. Location: Right off the highway may be good for people passing through, however, it is a bit awkward for locals and students in my opinion. It's great to have in a shopping center or closer to other attractions like the movie theatre. This location is almost a stand-alone restaurant next to a gas station. read more

Wow. This was my first time here. Ordered the Diablo Shrimp. It was delicious. Our server Hanna was exceptional. She was attentive to detail, explained the dishes very well and was pleasant. We got to the brand new Fairfield Inn in the same parking lot super late and we're looking for a bite to eat. Wait was 45 mins. We walked over to the carry out section and the girl at the counter said it would be about a 45 minute wait if I ordered carry out too. Well duh lady, I'll do carry out and go eat it in my hotel room so I don't wait an hour and a half to sit in the restaurant and eat. I felt like somehow she thought it was a better idea to eat in but obviously she couldn't do math . Ordered the sausage and peppers, supreme pizza, 3 meatballs on the side and a salad (forget the name) with peppers, pine nuts and raisins. Everytime I asked for a recommendation from the attendant I got bland choices. Everything I ordered which was recommended was fantastic. Super flavorful and reminded me of back east on Long Island. Our food was delicious as always! Our waitress however was not great. She was also one of the bartenders which could've been part of the problem but she was not very friendly. She never smiled, threw our straws on the table, barely ever came back to check to see if we wanted anything else and we had to actually wave her down when we could. We had a terrible experience. We drove through Sedona with our kids and our son really wanted Oregano's as we stayed in Flagstaff. We signed up online for an 1 hour wait. We waited 1.5 hours and they were NOT busy just social distancing. When my young kids got tired of waiting in the car as it got stuffy we waited outside. They we waited inside and were told we want you to wait in the car. Finally we get seated and they spilled water all over the seat and floor and hadn't cleaned it up properly. Everything was still all wet! Then it took 20 minutes for the waitress to take our order. Another hour for food to come. Then another 30 minutes for the bill. We have young kids! Waitress was hanging out at the bar. Finally after 3 hours we left that place in a miserable mood. I will never go back to another Oregano's. So many have gone downhill. read more

My Husband has been begging me to go here with him and reluctantly last night, I gave in. I typically tent to stay away from "Chain" restaurants, for this exact reason... So we got seated in the far back next to a LOUD party, like headache loud, we couldnt even hear each other speak, I know that's out of the restaurants control, but come on there was just two of us, sit us elsewhere. Anyway, we ordered two alcoholic drinks and two appetizers to start, (when I was a waitress, I hate to say it, but when people are ordering drinks, appetizers, meals and dessert, you knew the bill was going to be bigger = big tip, so you would always give a bit of extra attention) we are a super easy table too. Just keep our drinks full and were good! That was another problem, our drinks were constantly empty (alcoholic & waters), and it was almost like we were bugging her, when we ordered another. The appetizers came out, and the calamari was covered in oil, there was a huge puddle of it at the bottom of the basket. They were dripping in oil and soggy when you picked them up. The flavor was good, after we dabbed and rolled them in the napkins. But it was a gross, soggy mess. The bruschetta flavor was great, but it was so awkward, the tomatoes were cut so large you couldn't even eat them properly, and the bread to tomato ratio was way off, we had like 3 bread sticks left over. it was just weird. We asked for a side of balsamic, never came. We then placed our order for our meal, I ordered the Pepperoni pizza, with no questions asked...and my husband ordered the boneless wings. 60 minutes later, our soggy thin crust pizza comes out, and his order of BONE-IN wings.. I let the food runner know that this must not be our order (politely), because I did not order thin crust and he ordered boneless wings... she brought the waitress over, and she was so annoyed with us, she goes " yeah that's your pizza, the other pizza takes 45 minutes to make", and i'm thinking to myself, well this took an hour to make sooo...? you just get to decide what kind of pizza I want? how about you explain when I placed my order, I was so confused, I was even pointing to the pizza on the menu when I ordered it, the "Chicago style" but not stuffed. Needless to say I was pissed, at this point so much had gone wrong and we were there what felt like forever, and she couldn't care less. So my husband asks about the bone in wings and her response? "we grabbed you the wrong wings, ill bring some out" with no apologizes. So the bill comes, and the pizza is listed as ... "12" pepperoni THIN. I'm sorry, but the word THIN never come out of my mouth! She was just to damn lazy to ask or care. we WILL NOT be back, the service was horrible and the food was mediocre, everything took forever, and we were treated as if we were an inconvenience. We work hard for our money and its a real let down when it is spent on crappy food and service. My Husband still tipped well because hes just a good person, but we have never had a more disappointing dining experience. read more

Came to dinner here tonight on our way back to Phoenix after spending the afternoon at Antelope Canyon and Horseshoe Bend. The wait was about 45 min to an hour (as expected). We're used to this even at the Phoenix location, so no biggie. I love that as our party of four adults and an infant were waiting, they had pieces of pizza available on the house. Very thoughtful. As soon as we were seated, the manager stopped at our table and chatted with us. Very friendly! It wasn't long after that our server Micaela came over to get started. She was super friendly and quite attentive. Our family was visiting and they'd heard us bragging on the El Diablo Shrimp pasta so we all ended up with the same meal. Rarely do we do this Hahahaha because we like to be able to taste each other's meals. But we couldn't let them pass up this great pasta! We enjoyed it. The flavors were great as always. My only complaint is this.....my husband is military. I asked about the military discount. She said yes they had it. It was 20%. However, off of a bill of $92, only $3 and some change was taken off as a discount. I didn't feel like pushing the issue because we had a 2+ hour drive ahead of us but I do know that this isn't typically how it's calculated because we eat here quite frequently in Phoenix. read more

I don't normally enjoy eating out, however Oregano's is amazing. Service was outstanding, food tasted wonderful. We logged into yelp for call ahead seating, and was pleasantly surprised when we arrived only waiting a few minutes for a table. We ordered the Bruschetta to begin, great flavor and very large. Had the Big Rig pasta with sausage and thin crust bistro classic pizza. Everything tasted amazing and my family of 4 took home lots of left overs. Can't say enough good things about Oregano's. Was definitely worth the price. Just wish I had one closer to me in Riverside California. read more
