My sister and I came here when she came to visit and we're pleasantly surprised by the food. First out, they brought out bread which was delicious and then we got our food which was very fresh and we were able to take some home because it was such good portion sizes. Service was good and honestly, there was no one really in the restaurant which was surprising. Ordered a large order for 6 delivered. We ordered 2 salads, 2 -13 pizzas and 2 bowls. The bread was burned. Th bowls tasted old with the cheese dried and the chicken was flat and hard, difficult to chew. I've never used the term shoe leather, but it fits here . The salads were wilted and both had a poor taste. For a $170 price point it was not worth it. I would never order again or visit this restaurant. Babbo Italian Eatery has potential. I've visited this location a handful of times. I wanted to love it, but it was just okay. The facility is nice and has a small amount of Italian touches. If you order ahead, you can expect the order to take 30 minutes (during dinner) and it'll be on time. When picking up, don't leave without checking that you have everything. My order was missing a fork. Have you ever tried eating spaghetti without utensils? Not fun. On my most recent visit, I ordered the Spaghetti and Meatballs, which is their Monday night special. The pasta was fine, but the marinara sauce doesn't hit the mark for me. There's nothing wrong with it. It's just alright and, IMHO, the sauce makes or breaks the dish. The meatballs seemed like the grocery store frozen food variety. It also came with a side of focaccia bread (with oil and balsamic vinegar). I suppose for the Monday night special price of $6.99 (plus tax and tip) it'll do in a pinch. If paying full price, I'd have to think twice. read more

We came here after a long day at Great Wolf Lodge on a Thursday night. We were sat at a booth. It's a nice restaurant -- the interior is lovely and the service was quick. They bring you complementary bread with olive oil and balsamic for dipping. I ordered the chipotle chicken, my boyfriend ordered the chicken Alfredo and my daughter had the bolognese. The Alfredo was devoured almost immediately. I enjoyed my dish - it was creamy and the heat from the spice developed over time. Excellent portions as well! I had plenty of leftovers. My daughter's bolognese was exceptional -- the sauce was delicious! I would have tried the lasagna but it takes 30 minutes in the oven. Overall pleasant experience. We will be back. read more

Babbo, if you are wondering why all the other restaurant parking lots are full and yours is not. Here is why: 1. First impression when you walk in the place. The lights were cranked up to as bright as they could be like they're trying to clean the place. 7 o'clock dinner time you'd think you have a little bit better of a mood in here. No one wants the sunlight blasting on them while they're eating. Lighting 101. 2. Almost no music at all, seriously no vibe! can barely hear any sound at all. There's literally no reason to have speakers in here at that point. Again lighting and sound. Pivotal to restaurants. 3. You can tell you're understaffed because you have people running around like they're stuck in the weeds all the time. The place is not even that busy. 4. Is the bartender the manager? Haven't seen a manager on the floor once and we've been here for two hours. 5.cherry on top. Order came out wrong so they had to remake the right one the second time. Beer tasted old as hell. Had to switch to old fashioned. 6. Food was 5 out of 10 Good part. 1. The server was nice and polite. 2. The old-fashioned was good. Unfortunately no large cube. Not surprised from this place. Cheese wheel pasta? Say no more; I'm there. I haven't been to a Babbo location in about three years but when I heard this location was serving pasta tossed in a parmesan wheel, I had to try it. First, I'll start by saying I think Italian food is always overpriced. I mean, pasta is CHEAP and it's not like this is authentic and handmade. It's dry pasta like everyone makes at home. So when pasta dishes are $15-$20 a pop, I know they have to keep the lights on, but like, that's expensive. My pasta primavera was good. I would eat it again. Not earth shattering, but sufficiently good. The calzone was impressive and tall. The kid meals were good portions. The free bread and oil was decent. I don't have any specific complaints other than cost and nothing totally blowing me out of the water taste wise. Fair though, it's overpriced Italian and still good, but yeah. My first experience was not good. I really wanted to like the restarant. Party of five. We ordered a pasta dish and two pizza's. The restaurant was not busy. The server brought out a cold pizza to try and tide us over until the our pizza's were ready. It took forever for the pizza and one of the pizza's was not fully cooked. They did remove the pizza that was not fully cooked from the bill. The server never checked back after the food was delivered to see how things were. I had to point out to her when we were ready to leave how bad the pizza was. Never saw a manger. read more

I hate writing these, but I'd like to save people time/money. I called in 30 minutes early and arrived on time for a pickup order with my girlfriend and dog waited in the car. I only ordered 3 items, Salmon salad, a cheese pizza and a calzone. When I arrived on time the Pizza and Calzone were sitting on the countertop and not on a warm surface. Like Joe's Pizza or Yo Pauly's who put it on top of the oven to stay warm. The manager proceeded to tell me they never cooked the Salmon salad and would need 15 minutes. I found it funny since it was on the bill. When I got home all was cold and the Calzone was not even cooked like a big pile of dough. The pizza looked like a 3rd grade class had make your own pizza day. (Totino's) Lastly, the Salmon salad was salty with too much pepper and looked like they threw a chuck of salmon on a bed of greens with one onion in the salad and nothing else. 1000% percent terrible experience and I will never go back. Next time I will continue down the freeway the extra couple mile for a true NY Pizza and Calzone done correctly at Yo Pauly's. read more

Very simple and easy pickup process for to-go orders! Ordered online and it was already ready when I went to back it up... no waiting. I got GF pasta and I love that they don't charge extra for it. It was fairly good, I would try something else whenever I go back that is not as heavy. (I got something similar to fettuccine alfredo but with GF pasta). I have been checking out curbside service at various restaurants during COVID-19. Babbo does a superb job at keeping everything organized and flowing in the parking lot when you drive up to pick up your order. I love good deals and decided to order the $6.99 spaghetti special for the first time, which they have right now on Monday and Tuesday nights. I called in the order and drove over to pick it up. They had cones set up in the parking lot and a one-way traffic system for picking up your order. The Babbo employee walks up to your car, gets your name, and then goes back in to ring up your order. They bring the order to your vehicle with your credit card receipt. You sign the receipt and you're good to go. I like the organization of their curbside pick-up and have been back a few times since for the spaghetti special. The $6.99 spaghetti is a large portion with marinara sauce and two large meatballs. I always give the meatballs to my boyfriend, who is a true carnivore. They also provide an order of their wonderful herb bread with dipping sauce. Yummy! read more
