We have been eating at Oregano's for a while and we love it. The food is great and the portions are generous but the people and the service are what really keeps us coming back. 9 out of 10 times they get it wrong. I ordered a Vino Bambino Salad that I have ordered for over 10 years at various Oregano's and it was horrible. They put something on that salad that burnt my lips, mouth and throat. Got up the next morning with my lips still burning. I have been here probably 5-7 times for the pizza, pizookies, and family dinners. So we decided order take out pizzas. They use to do pepperoni under the cheese and had quite a few. Now they put above the cheese and very few. Crust wasn't as crisp either and overall cook wasn't great. For over $50 for 2 1-item pizzas it definitely wasn't worth. I heard of this restaurant and wanted to try it out. Well it was not the worst but I wouldn't stop it again. The food includes a lot of calories and my pasta did not really taste good. The noodles were overcooked and the bread tasted toxic. The staff was also not very motivated and all in all this was my experience but everyone has the chance to make their own ones. UPDATE!! I did receive two large free pizzas and they were delicious!! Changed my review! We must have hit an off night last year when we moved to Surprise. I can see now why the parking lot is always full! Update: I emailed the gentleman below and never heard back. I am assuming it was just for show. We ordered 2 extra large pizzas when we first moved here and have not been back. They were paper thin and one was burnt on the underside. Had dinner last night early, before the rush , and seated on the patio. It appeared only one server was serving as it was not quite dinner yet. However every server who walked by my table seem to do just that; walk by the table look straight ahead over me or under me but never at me to even recognize I was there. I moved to the bar the barmaid quickly wiped a spot for me because of course I sat where it was dirty, my fault. The move to the bar resulted Light conversation, a wonderful di pizza and a couple glasses of wine (her recommendation) and everything was perfect. First the hostess was rude we felt it was inconvenient for her to do her job! Came while on a road trip after seeing my friend post a picture of the food here, looked so good I couldn't wait to stop by. Although we were seated pretty quickly, it took me going to the manager after 9 minutes to ask if we had a server for someone to get our drink order (2 tables that came after us had already gotten their drink orders placed). Isaiah was offered as our server and he was amazing. He did a fantastic job. Food is plentiful here. House salad was good. Cole slaw was fabulous! Meatball sandwich was above average but my husband has had better. The pan pizza was good, but never thought I'd say this, had too much cheese. We were given drinks to go which was nice. We were excited to check out Oreganos tonight. We were looking for a place that offered great pasta dishes as our family eats low carb and barely eats pasta. We can after hearing great reviews, we thought we'd check it out. We are ordered calamari for our appetizer, it can out quickly was warm. It wasn't bad but it wasn't that good either. Shortly after our food came, it looked good and I gave it a taste. The pasta was cold. I asked my husband and daughter to taste it to check, they too said it was cold. My husband also said his was cold. Want to know why!? Well they used cold plates, our plates were still cold to touch. What restaurant does that!? Who puts hot food on a col me plate. We order take-out from this location often, and we never have any issues with the friendly & efficient staff. This last time, they accidentally forgot one of the dishes, and when we noticed we called the loc and they were nice & apologetic, and told us a gift card could be mailed to us. We asked if we could just come back for it the following day instead, and they were happy to oblige. When my bf got there to re-order the dish & use the gift card for it, the manager Andrew went above and beyond, offering a comped dish while my bf waited. We love Oregano's but this might be the last time we go.... Brought 11 people in last night for my wife's bday and from the beginning things were suspect. Waited almost an hour to get sat when the restaurant was just full of EMPTY dirty tables. Once we sat down we were sat at the most awkward table configuration possible. A 4 person square table attached to 2 round tables. This caused our party to separated quite a bit and detached from the family dinner. These people attending are all from out of state and all came here for this weekends celebration... sad. Drinks took forever. What a mess this whole thing was... I've been in hospitality for a long time and understand that things happen, shifts are over staffed ect but it all can be rectified with proper communication and having a manager come address the situation, neither one of those things happened. What can I say that I haven't already said about Oregano's? Besides the fact that I've dined at their restaurants in Tucson, Flagstaff and all over the valley. This is my third location review and it was another special occasion. My youngest son's birthday landed on Father's Day this year so we both got to enjoy a nice meal at a restaurant we equally appreciate. In fact, he requested Oregano's last year. He is nothing but consistent. And so is this chain! The food was outstanding as always! We enjoyed our favorite appetizer, the Calamari. Seriously, these guys have the best squid appetizer anywhere! We stoped to have lunch mid week, seemed pretty empty. This was our first time here. I asked the waitress what kind of soft drinks they had since the menu just listed soft drinks and she seemed really bothered by it. She was rude the entire meal, even my kids noticed and pointed it out. Most of the time I just figure she could be overwhelmed or just having a bad day. The restaurant was pretty empty and we noticed she was very friendly with another family seated near us. It was very disappointing especially since we live just down the street. Our menus and drink order were taken immediately. The staff is friendly and accomdating. Although, on this visit service was a little slow. However, the food was prepared and served quicker then expected. We split garlic bread, stuffed crust pizza, and a salad. The salad was served cold, and the ingredients were fresh. Came here with family today, my husband ordered a specific sandwich, our waitress put his order in wrong and my husband said it was wrong.... Well that's to bad because he had to keep it and all she could say was "oh ok" Good got delivered and my uncle asks for a plate 3 times.... 3rd time our waitress tells us she will see if she can even find one in the kitchen. Oreganos has to be on my top 5 list of best places to eat in Flagstaff. They have 2 locations in Flagstaff and I could not have been happier when they opened one a few blocks from my home. During the pandemic take out became a regular thing here. I usually get a the Italian Sub or the Lady is a Scampi. I am getting hungry just writing this review. The take out is very quick and best of all I have never ran into any problems with the order when I get it home. My wife and I will do a date night every now and then. I would recommend you get their Bolinni. Just be careful this thing can definitely sneak up on you. read more

I used to eat there every week. Not anymore. The spaghetti sauce has a strong flavor that ruins the tomato flavor. It I'd so strong that it overpowers everything. Even the pizza sauce has an unusual string flavor that is distasteful. I'd rather have spaghetti at Olive Garden -their maranara sauce is the best. Oreganos salads are still good. The deep dish pizza was disappointing......mostly cheese. I think they need to re-design their flavors. I rarely go there anymore. I doubt they will do anything about it. read more

We have eaten here many times in the last couple of years and service has always been good. Sometimes the wait for a table can be long but they do have a bar you can grab drinks at while waiting. The food here is fantastic! We love their thin crust pizza and the mommas bacon Mac and cheese. Other good eats are their guac and their cheesey bread. Still have room for dessert you can't go wrong with their pazookie cookie and ice cream skillet....delicious! Ambiance here is great too. It has an old Italy vibe.
