First and foremost, the night Manager Charlie is absolutely amazing! Our server, not so much. I really couldn't tell if she was having a bad night or what her actual issue was but, Charlie if you're reading this, please try to coach and mentor this young lady into providing the same type of excellent customer service that you offer. And if someone higher than Charlie is reading this, give that man a raise because he truly understands the concept of customer service, where most of his young staff lacks. Now for the food! The food is actually really good. I have always found that chain restaurants typically don't offer meals as tasty as the mom and pop joints, but Oregano's does a pretty good job with flavors and portions. Bang for your buck factor. We really enjoyed our meal here the cheesy garlic bread was delicious, as was the thin crust pizza. We really wanted to go for the deep dish but unfortunately due to the long wait time to get seated we didn't want to wait an hour for pizza. Nice drink selection and beers to choose from. I ordered a large thin pizza with several toppings, it was delicious! I also ordered the large caesar salad with chicken, but what a disappointment! Our wait time was pretty quick. The hostess contacted us via cell phone thru Yelp. Waited in our vehicle until we were notified. Virtual Menus are available which is great at this time. Man we got delivery thru doordash. It was about $95 worth of different salads and over half of them where horrible. They where missing ingredients so bad that it was laughable. My house salad had 1 and a half (yes I am not joking 1 and a half) croutons on it, with no tomatoes. One of my friends asked and paid for extra chicken and they got ZERO chicken. Oregano's has always been a family favorite for us and we have always celebrated special occasions at Oregano's. Today happened to be my husbands birthday celebration. I expected better from this Oregano's location especially on such a special occasion for our family. Tonight we were patient but dear me, I also think that you can expect some sort of standard when you go out to eat. Unfortunately, the standard at this particular location was very poor. Where do I start? Having entered the restaurant, we had to wait close to an hour for our party of 10. When we were told it would only be a 30 min wait. It was okay we waited patiently no big deal. Once seated we waited again, the waitress was nice and attentive up until we got our drinks. Shortly after her presence was very sporadic 15 min had gone by and we still did not have the correct drink order. At this point all of our drinks had to be refilled. My father in-law had to walk up to the ask for a refill and that when the waitress stopped him mid way. We felt forgotten in the back corner. We finally placed our food order. Once again, our waitress disappeared for what seemed like another 30 min no where in sight. At this point kids are fussy we are hungry and just wondering what happened? Where is our food? Again, we waited and waited. We tried to make the best of the situation. Finally our food was brought out by two other servers but still no sight of our waitress. At this point I took it upon myself to just reach over and grab the pitcher water that was left on the back furniture piece and refill all our drinks. We sensed a bit of frustration from our waitress after but perhaps she was overwhelmed maybe not us. Who knows? The food was good no complaints. Once we finished with our dinner we asked her to help us clear the table but she never returned, again am sure she was busy. So we cleared the table the-best we could so we could sing happy birthday and cut the cake for my husband. We were never offered new silverware or plates for the cake, instead we used the spoons from the pazookie, and the dirty plates from the appetizers that we wiped off. It was horrible! At this point we were so upset we just wanted out. Our waitress finally brought out the checks for our party but instead of handing them out to us she just left them on the back furniture piece where all the dirty plates, empty water cups and pitchers were. All checks were billed incorrectly. The icing on the cake was the two cockroaches crawling on the floor next to our table. My little nephew even stepped on one and the table next to us seen him try to get it off his shoe. (picture attached) This was absolutely disgusting! We will never, ever come here again! My father in-law stated that he expressed his disappointment to the manager but the manager did not make the attempt to address us. Tonight was certainly an experience to remember, but one that I never hope to repeat. We sincerely hope that these issues are addressed accordingly. As for us this will be an establishment that we will not be back to solely based on customer service, lack of management and the disregard for food safety. read more
