We normally don't go to chains but we had a gift card and were in the neighborhood. First thing I noticed was the sticky table. We were sat in the back room and there is no swing door on the kitchen so it's LOUD and the bussers are crashing things into their carts as they roll around trying to look busy. The server was nice and the food was decent for what it is, I'll give them that. But nobody bothered to clear our soup or salad plates. Leaving, I went to the restroom and the 1st two stalls were constructied too tight. I couldn't get my leg between the paper holder and the toilet to hop over the toilet to shut the door (I'm an average size person) so I had to wait for the stall with the changer. I'm not standing on a toilet rim to get settled! Won't go back. It felt dirty. read more

I frequently dine at Olive Garden, as it holds sentimental value for me and my significant other--it is where we had our first date. We were recently celebrating a few months together and chose this location for that reason. Unfortunately, our experience was disappointing. I ordered my usual chicken tortellini Alfredo with broccoli, and my partner ordered the chicken Alfredo. While his dish had very little sauce, it was manageable after it was addressed. My dish, however, had almost no sauce at all, and the pasta itself was very hard, as if it had been reheated improperly without sufficient sauce. Additionally, I was charged $3 for broccoli, which consisted of only four very small pieces and one larger floret, which felt disproportionate to the cost. More concerning than the food was a safety issue that occurred during our visit. My partner went to wipe his face with a napkin and was stung by a bee that had been wrapped inside it. At first, I thought he was joking until I saw the bee fly away with the napkin after he threw it due to the pain. His hands and face began to swell immediately, and he started shaking. He is allergic to bee stings, and we did not have an EpiPen available, so the situation could have been far more serious. The manager was very kind, attentive, and showed genuine concern, which we appreciated. However, our server's demeanor changed noticeably once the issue arose and felt less accommodating, as if the situation were somehow intentional--which, of course, it was not. No guest would ever want to be stung by a bee, especially someone with an allergy. We were told by the manager that she would take care of our meals, yet we were still presented with a bill (we do not eat over 75% of the food plus he was to scared bee guys got in the food furthering the bee problem) . While we were not expecting free food, the circumstances were serious and involved both food quality and guest safety. There was also a significant delay after being told the bill would be handled, during which we were unsure whether we were cleared to leave. Service slowed considerably afterward, but even before that a manager ultimately had to bring our plates and provide cheese. Regarding the ambience, the restaurant itself was pleasant and familiar, which is one of the reasons we chose to celebrate there. However, the overall atmosphere became tense and uncomfortable following the incident, which took away from what was meant to be a special and enjoyable evening. We are loyal customers and hope this feedback is taken constructively so that similar situations can be prevented in the future. read more

My husband is a big fan of Olive Garden's lasagna and ravioli and I do love the soup, salad and breadsticks: plus it's one of the more convenient takeout options when it comes to Italian food. I was excited to see on Instagram that they now sell their cheese graters, so we placed a delivery order last week. They're also offering a random chance to get a special edition green one during the holidays, and I was hoping to get lucky. Unfortunately, our delivery didn't include the grater we ordered, but the restaurant went above and beyond to make it right. The manger I spoke to offered to mail a gift card for more than the cost of the grater, but when I explained I had been hoping to get one of the random green graters, she offered to set one aside for me, along with a gift card, to make up for the trouble. I picked up my awesome green grater the next day and am looking forward to a future visit. Fantastic customer service experience. read more

Lots of Drama between employees, and discussions about management and other employees that should probably not be had at the front counter of the restaurant for all to hear. Obviously OGI is a chain, so don't expect fine or intimate dining...That said OGI does offer tried and try versions of Italian food that people come back for with unlimited breadsticks. There is little deviations between the varied restaurants, but consistency does build clientele. I give OGI and this restaurant an extra star for their annual Veterans Day meals and that it is very convenient and the staff are better than average. We come hear about 2 or 3 times per year, it is in a building on the outside of a very crowded mall area. The parking lot is often full in the evening, so you may have to park away, and the spaces are small. They do have pickup and go spots. Getting into the mall area can be treacherous at night due to the traffic. On arrival, you will be greeted and taken back, or if in the evening you will be paged to your phone while you wait outside. The staff experience can very, but mostly they are very kind and attentive, we have had some experiences where the staff begin to forget about you after the meal is served, but this is more of an outlier. On entering you will find the bar area to your right, bathrooms to the left and going back through a hall to the dining areas. The rugs and decor are getting a little old and worn, as is the entrance and parking area. They are very busy, but we usually get our drinks and app orders in quick. There is a table device to request refills on drinks or food. Food is consistent and good. Nothing outstanding, but very good tasting and any issues are addressed easily with staff (like a forgot to mention food allergy). There is a good beer, wine and bar selection. Overall, OGI is a good place to take family and friends without worrying about changes. Parking lot and facility are the main downers, but staff and food make up for a lot. read more

Absolutely amazing! My mom and I go out for dinner once a month and today we went to Olive garden. Our server Kelly, an older lady, was an angel. As a server myself i understand that it gets busy and food takes time so we were not even a little upset. But Kelly was absolutely professional and super friendly lady who made us feel special. We absolutely adored her and her service. The food was amazing as always, my mom and I are absolute suckers for the alfredo. As for the environment it was very busy but its Sunday so we expected nothing less. A manager came out to send their apologies on the wait time, we were super happy so it was okay! We went there for lunch yesterday n had Heather as our waitress. She was friendly,polite n courteous. Our food was delicious. Ordered the chicken margarita n the salmon. Of course it came with salad n/or soup . We had soup n salad n breadsticks. Everything tasted delicious. Breadsticks were a líttle crispy but overall still good. Place was clean n hardly any customers because it was still early, 11:45. By the time we left place was beginning to fill up. Very few parking spots were visible . That's my pet peeve. The parking. I've loved Olive Garden since the late 80s but things have changed so much the last few years and not for the better. Our family had dinner this evening at the location in Tucson Drexel Heights. What a disappointment. Generally known for good service our server tonight was terrible. The restaurant was half empty on a Saturday evening which indicates to me something isn't right in general. The menu has been stripped down to minimal items but everything from the salad breadsticks and entrees were bland and expensive. This will be my last trip. Would hundred percent recommend to come here for dinner. I was surprised with how busy it was for Valentine's Day that I got in to eat so quickly. But then again with it only being a group of 2 it helped significantly with shortening the wait time. I called ahead to put myself on the line which helped. The host immediately had us sat at the table. The server I didn't get her name but she was super pleasant and quick with everything. The food tasted great and looked great too. They got us our breadsticks and soup super fast. Then shortly after the entrees. I got a free dessert too for my birthday. Overall it was a pleasant time even with the busyness of Valentine's Day. This olive garden is a pretty nice establishment, with a pretty nice atmosphere. The service was pretty good as well. My main problem was the food. Doing the keto diet is not a very good thing for eating at an olive garden. It is very slim picking if you're trying to avoid carbs. I got the margherita chicken and cheese sticks. The cheese sticks were pretty good. The chicken was really just two small pieces of chicken breast and seemed pretty low quality. It seemed like such a nice environment, and a shocker to see them using lower quality food. Then again, they specialize in pasta and I wasnt able to give that a try. I wanna state I am a great tipper! I am not a needed customer, but as a server you need to provide customer service. Sidney who was our server was paying little to no attention to us and another table. We had to ask other servers for help. One week later today lunch special we went back and we had the same server Sidney! She was very short with us from the moment we place our drink order and when we gave our food order she ask if we were there last week she remembers faces! Well last week we gave her coworker the tip the one who brought out the food, replaced our drinks, and gave the customer service she lacked. Today Sidney brought out our check with the suggested tip circle even though the self pay machine was sitting on the table. I tip accordingly. Last week she did not deserve a tip because she didn't do anything to receive one and this week, well she got a small tip for doing the bare minimum and is lucky to receive one after being so rude to us. To the general manager Katherine R. You have so many other great servers at your restaurant but Sidney is not one if I were you I would think about retraining her or shadowing her to see how she does. read more

Excellent communication from the restaurant also given that they were very busy and my order was going to take a little longer than expected. Packaging was great. Every restaurant should package their salads this way. Don't let the price put you off for the dinner portion, it is enough for two meals. My only complaint, if you'd even call it that was the lasagna could have been warmer, however I did drive home prior to eating so I'm not overly concerned with that. After turning down multiple five-star, "upscale" restaurants in downtown Tucson, friends and I found ourselves at the Olive Garden on Irvington in Tucson. Wow am I thankful that we did! Our experience was entirely enhanced and curated by the one and only Pablo. Pablo is an artist and a master of their craft. We were given an incredible wine sampling, followed by a pairing with a meal suggestion that dazzled me and my friends to absolute bits. Everything was initially fine when we sat down for dinner. We ordered our food, and when our food arrived, they set my plate down, and did not mention the plate was very hot. I grabbed it with my left hand and burned my fingers. It was hurting through dinner. We asked for a manager (Jerry) but he really didn't seem to care much about it. He just stated he would let staff know, and offered us a free dessert. We didn't take the dessert, I was more concerted with my finger hurting. Probably not coming back here. Our server (Diego) was more helpful, he asked us if there was anything he could do to help. I asked for a glass of water with ice to cool my burnt finger down. This has to be my worst restaurant this year! Firstly, lets talk about the service it was horrible. I didn't get a refill until about 20 minutes before we left, after requesting a refill twice. (More to explain about service later). We started with artichoke dip and requested they not to cook the pita bread. However, they still did. We didn't say anything we just moved forward with our meal. It's not like us to complain. I ordered ravioli with medium rare steak. When the steak came out it was well done. (I can't do well done steak) It took waitress 10 minutes checking on us. When I informed her about the steak, she responded "I told the kitchen it was well done but they said it was fine". She said she would get the manager, instead of just remaking it. She then went and took a table of six order before going to get the manager. So, it took another 15 minutes to even request a remake. When the manager finally arrived, he was not really interested in what i was saying. He took the steak, I requested him to just remake the steak to go and this time. I also requested make it rare, so when I reheat at home I can get it close to medium rare. When it finally came, it was well done again. I didn't say anything further. The waitress came up and said the manager waived your steak. I said thank you. When I looked at receipt they actually ordered a new steak and waived the cost on that steak. The original steak was still on my bill. I never expect a restaurant to waive food when a mistake happens. However, when you tell a customer your waiving the steak and you don't, that's wrong. He came over and said I did waive your steak. You ordered a second steak and we waived the cost of the replacement. That's laughable. I didn't order a second steak. I sent back a steak that was like leather. The waitress was upset because my friend mentioned the waitresses comments about knowing it was was over cooked. The rest of the food was fine. We ordered a ton of food because we ordered two to go orders which was over $120 in food. However, on the to go orders they didn't bread the chicken as requested. You would think they would have took my $19 steak off being, I didn't eat a bite of it in the restaurant. It took an hour and 10 minutes to get the replacement. Who has this type of time? I won't be returning! This was the first time in my life, I haven't left a tip this was mainly due to the waitress horrible attuide after sending the leather shoe back. Smh Finally, as we were paying the waitress spilled tea all over me. I'm hoping this was an accident, but it just sealed the idea of the entire visit; it was a mess! read more

I was a frequent visitor before I retired a few years ago, as my boss liked to bring us here. I still occasionally come in with a friend of my husband's. This first chilly night made me crave a hot bowl of soup, so here I am. Was seated immediately, as I was alone. I appreciated that, because they were fairly crowded at dinner time. My server, Annaliza, was excellent. She was friendly and efficient. She came back frequently to check on me. I must say that the food was not as good as I remembered. The salad was just awful. Old, soggy lettuce. No amount of cheese could salvage this. I was here for the soup anyway. My first bowl of gnocchi was sans chicken but had plenty of tasty gnocchi pillows. Switched to pasta fagioli and immediately regretted it. I cannot believe this was my go-to dish here years ago. Nothing in it tasted good. Got another bowl of the gnocchi. This one had plenty of chicken, but only one gnocchi. It was still very good and satisfied my soup craving. The "famous" breadsticks were not good tonight. They were hard and dry. I'd say I'd give this place another shot, but only if hubby's friend insists upon it. read more

It's conveniently located off of a main drag in Tucson.  It's also about expectations, everyone is under staffed, so I always appreciate the service staff who are working. The parking is easy and plentiful.  And my goodness it's an Olive Garden,  wouldn't have been my 1st choice. I like small independent restaurants but it's what the young people who I was with wanted,  It's kind of a generational thing, many young people are not used to small independently owned neighborhood restaurants that used to be the norm.  Young people have grown up with the mall and corporate fast food chains,  not just fast food Burger or pizza joints either.   There is some hope, with some street truck food being reinvented, but I digress.  The service was fast and efficient and the food came quickly. Still ok food and reasonably priced after all these years. I enjoyed the angel hair pasta with shrimp like I always do. The other members of the party enjoyed their pasta dishes as well.  Big portions, fresh salad and bread sticks.  Like I said it's an Olive Garden, I don't really want to know the source of their ingredients, It's not heirloom tomatoes or organic tomatoes organic herbs and spices, (what you're great grandparent called food), real butter on the bread or let alone where the chicken (It's rumored to be canned) and shrimp have come from or Olive oil which they don't use.  But people won't pay more money for better food and smaller portions its not the American way. So you're getting what you pay for,  Which is a ton sodium and fat in everything that you eat including salads.  Unfortunately most working families cannot afford the higher end better ingredient type restaurants.   Obviously people vote with their feet and they like it. What I can rate in a very good way was the quality of service. And the food was hot, just remember where you are. read more

But how the server, manager and back of the house addressed the issue was a showing of how well managed this place is at addressing issues and concerns. This place smells horrible! I was forewarned but it's near work and omw home. I was really craving bread and tuscana. I also love the calamari here but I think it's losing it's zing for me. I sat at the bar since I was alone. The bar staff was friendly but I never got any names, my food came out expediently and I spent about an hour there today. I wish I had something better to say. So disappointed with the alfredo pasta I ordered. Where did the flavor go? It was bland and tasteless. It was the same when I ordered it before, but thinking it was just a fluke, I ordered it again, as it is (was) my favorite dish. Not anymore. Now we pay a higher price for less. The first round of bread sticks weren't fresh as they usually are. The second serving were fresher but still seemed to lack the buttery cheese flavor of days past. Our waitress was nice, cordial, and attentive, but difficult to understand/hear. We had a "surprise" drink on our tab, (glad we noticed it) so the manager gave us a cash refund instead of credit on our card. Thinking about that, we didn't get the tax that I'm sure we paid on the drink. Oh well, lessons learned aren 't forgotten. read more

He took initiative and served my family after we'd been seated without a server... which the host desk actually told him after our ziosk ordered appetizer was ready and he was trying to find out where to deliver it! There was a large party seated nearby so we were patient. Then a couple was seated behind us, quickly visited by a server, and drinks delivered within a few minutes. So we placed our own drink and appetizer order hoping someone would come by. Jesus finally found us and provided excellent service through the rest of our meal. The hostess desk and manager were useless when I went to ask how much longer it would be for a server. When I said it had been 20 minutes I was just told "yeah." Ordered take out for myself and my husband was able to use the curbside pick up, easy enough process you call and they bring out your food once they verify your order and color and make of car. We ordered the chicken fettuccini, it was blah lacking flavor but full of grease. My husband enjoyed his plate. Soup was good but breadsticks were a little hard. The place has only 3 stars but I will give the 4 for the kind and hard working server I got! The place was very busy but our server was very attentive and got our order out piping hot!
