We decided to try this place because it reminds me of Flower Child. The ambiance was nice and relaxing. The service is a bit slow but everyone is really nice. Both husband I tried the sweet soy sesame steak bowl which sounds really good but fell short. The sauce was way too salty that I couldn't finish the bottom because it was drenched in sauce. I find myself in Chandler pretty often these days and have been wanting to stop by The Chopshop. While they are located in downtown it is very easy to find parking either on the street or the parking garage nearby and walk. I loved instantly the decor inside and how bright it was. It is fairly small inside, but accommodates larger groups. There is a really nice breezeway outside that is shaded and overlooks a nice mural of you want to sit outside. They open at 7am for breakfast; it stops at 11 for lunch rush to start. I loved the healthy menu. I was bummed I couldn't try the avocado toast, but it gives me reason to come back again. My daughter and I both decided on the açaí bowl and to share the teriyaki protein bowl. The person taking our order was wonderful. They were friendly, answered our questions and just made us feel so welcome. Our food came out quickly to our table and was so good. I loved that the veggies weren't over cooked and soggy. I never knew I liked Brussel sprouts until today ha ha . I opted for brown rice. Delicious. Our açaí bowls were fresh, full and tasty as well. The granola was my favorite part. I liked that they added down to the bottom as well so you got to eat it through bits of the entire bowl. didn't get many pictures as the place was pretty full and I didn't want to make anyone uncomfortable by taking pictures they didn't ask to be in. read more

I ordered the chili lime shrimp bowl tonight. The entire order was delivered burnt to a crisp. The sweet potato hash base was completely burnt to the point where I could only find 3 small pieces that weren't entirely black and crumbling to ashes. Even all the veggies were almost entirely burnt and dry. I ended up getting a really bad stomach ache from only the few bites I tried to take. I won't be ordering from here again. I have been to this restaurant a few times now and am usually not disappointed. I was skeptical when I first came here, but was pointed to a lot of vegetarian/healthy options which I was glad they could provide. I usually order the Korean steak plate but ask them to substitute the steak for tofu, since I normally eat vegetarian when I'm here. I also substitute for the Forbidden (purple) rice which is a couple extra dollars, but nothing too crazy. It usually takes them about 7-10 minutes to get the food ready, and it comes out hot and smelling really nice. The portion is good enough for a standard meal, and the flavours are delectable. This particular dish is tangy but has a nice complementary cut down by the Forbidden rice and herbs that they put. Overall, I think this place is worth it in terms of price and it terms of value. The food tastes good, and is definitely a small gem for vegetarians tucked away in the midst of steakhouses and meat restaurants all around it. read more

My 4 star here has slowly over time become 2. This place has "Protein" shakes and bowls, fruit squeezed juices, and pressed sandwiches. The protein verse the cost difference in their menu items are the same as Panera bread, subway, and other businesses that are all mainly carb laden and carb fillers. The sandwiches although good is mainly bread. The protein bowls look like 4 ounces of meat give or take. The protein shakes with the exception of the muscle malt (40g protein) the others have only 20g protein @$6.75 per shake. I was told moons ago when chop shop opened up by the manager at that time that the PB&J and Muscle Malt shakes had 50g protein. This is far from the truth. I could look the other way and add a couple extra protein scoops into my shake but that would bring my shake up to $8-9 per shake. To bring insult to my injured wallet, today is the third time our shake has tasted like banana and Ice. Twice at this location. Once at the Arcadia location. Which means the scoop they use to scoop in the ice is not actually weighed or measured. This is an issue because it's a roll of the dice how much product will actually end up in your 20 ounce cup. So that 20g of protein is probably less if you're not paying attention before you drive away. We used to eat here all the time but like most businesses who grow faster then they are able to implement consistent food quality. These businesses become part of the crowd in my world. The scottsdale location has too many other protein enriched restaurant to choose, the Arcadia and this one are hit and miss with parking -so specifically coming here for a $6.75 priced 20g protein shake, with no attention to making sure the paid for product gets into the actual to-go cup, is just not worth it. 2 stars is for the good service and the cleanliness that is very consistent at their locations. For protein driven people -I recommend driving up the road to one stop nutrition or stop into QT for a protein shake to go. For those hungry - you won't go away unsatisfactory. You just will go away indifferent. read more

Placed a lunch order for a work event for 7 people 1.5 hours in advance of when we needed it via DoorDash on Wednesday. The restaurant sat on the order for nearly 30 minutes without accepting it. It was completely unprofessional and a major inconvenience. I had to cancel and reorder last minute which was not cool. I've ordered from there in the past via DoorDash and my order was accepted immediately. I believe they were being lazy and didn't want to do an order that large. I was not a fan of our food. We got the Grilled Steak Sandwich and the Chicken + Proscuitto Sandwich and they weren't good. The chicken was chewy and the grilled steak could have used some grilling. I really feel like this restaurant could be another example of an overrated chain whose unique aesthetic overcompensates for its underwhelming food. If you know me, you know I love egg. If I have the drunchies, I fry up an egg. If I'm eating ramen, I need to make sure to add a poached egg. If I'm going out for brunch, I'm probably going to get an omelette. My boyfriend came here with his coworkers, and told me that I was going to love ChopShop. He was right. Their American salad has A LOT of egg on it. It was the perfect egg to salad ratio, and the dressing was light and everything was well mixed, and just thinking about this salad makes my mouth water because it was SO good. The lemonade was good too, with a nice level of tartness. The service at this ChopShop is also great! I sat in a corner by myself reading and chomping on my amazing salad, and a couple people stopped by to check on me to make sure I was doing well, which was sweet. The ambience was also nice and relaxed. I saw a few people working away on their laptops, and others were clearly on a business lunch. Meanwhile, I was there reading a terrible novel that was free on iBooks. Parking was a little tough, but it was definitely worth it. read more

NO one acknowledged me standing there although, there were 2 workers OTHER then the cashier, looking at me as if I were an invisible Angel!
