This is some of the best pizza in Colorado, at least for traditional New York style. Great crust, real Polly O cheese- the best!

Even though it was a Friday night, we were warmly welcomed and seated quickly. Unfortunately, we were seated in a booth right outside the kitchen that felt crammed in its space. While we were fine, any patron a bit "larger" would literally have to squeeze in or be unable to sit there. That would be so embarrassing to a patron. The table lacked anything more than paper napkins and a knife & fork. No salt & pepper or Parmesan. The atmosphere isn't bad, but could use some attention. The waitress was fairly attentive and very polite. However, when ordering she was unfamiliar with the Italian language items on the menu. We ordered arancini (which is that way on the menu) and she had no idea what it was until I "Americanized" it and said rice balls. I did pronounce it correctly, as I am Italian and trained in proper Italian pronunciation. It would be a good idea to ensure the wait staff is familiar with the menu items and their pronunciation. The Arancini was delicious and she did a great job of putting the appetizer in first so it came before our meal. The marinara was pretty good too. Flavorful with a hint of red pepper. The plate it was served on was too large for 5 balls and had a salad size amount of greens as a bed. You could help with cost by having your chefs or sous chef use smaller plates and less arugula. The size of the arancini was generous. Being an Italian restaurant, it feels like a fail not to offer or bring out bread fairly soon. There was some waste noticed in other portions that could be reduced, but would still be quite generous, to make adding bread to the patron experience reasonable financially. We ordered 3 entrees & 1 specialty drink (non-alcoholic). The pappardella Bolognese was average. The marinara that was on the Arancini though, is delicious! The seafood fra diavolo was beautifully presented but lacked in flavor and was really salty. I was really disappointed in the mushroom ravioli. The portion was very generous, too generous. Eight large ravioli are too much. I was expecting fresh mushrooms that had been sautéed, like baby bella, but they were canned mushrooms that were flavorless & rubbery. It seems reasonable that if you reduced the portion to like 5, which would still be generous, but perhaps you could use fresh mushrooms that are sauteed and seasoned. While there was a small amount of parm on the food, it was disappointing not to be offered more parm. The lack of bread too made the meal feel like a fast Tuesday night dinner at home, certainly not a meal that was over $100. We were offered dessert , but no dessert menu had been brought nor did the server verbally list out the choices. Desserts will not move if the diner has no idea what desserts you have. We were also not directed to a wine menu nor offered a cocktail. Alcohol brings a big profit margin, which I know the owners know, but the servers need training on how to solicit it. I really don't want that to be our last visit as Scalzottos has a good reputation and its nice to have an Italian restaurant in the northeast part of town. Some tweaks, some more training and a review of portion sizes would really be an improvement. I would not discourage anyone from going, but the Northglenn/Thornton location needs up their game.

Upon entering, we were immediately greeted and seated. Our server quickly took our orders and provided us with complimentary bread. I ordered the pappardelle Bolognese, and it was absolutely delicious. The perfectly seasoned Bolognese sauce was thick and made from San Marzano tomatoes. A hearty and hefty amount of meat was also mixed into the sauce, all pairing perfectly with the thick pappardelle pasta. The sauce was so perfect and delicious, I even took the left-over sauce home to plate on my own pasta. I would highly recommend Parma Trattoria for authentic and delicious Italian food.

She was super attentive and friendly. I got the Rapa salad, which was big! I couldn't even finish it. But the dressing was spectacular. If you liked beets, this is the one for you. The penne arrabiata was good, but I was a little underwhelmed. It was more like a red sauce with a teensy tiny bit of heat. The sauce was thick and I still needed salt and extra peppers. I got the meatballs. They are pork and beef. They weren't as tender as the ones that use veal. I liked them, but I am kinda a meatball connoisseur. These were a 3.5/5. This is a great place for family. Very bustling. It feels very family like. Olive Garden wishes they could be this place. ;)

The highlight of the evening was the superb service. Our waiter was professional, kind, attentive, and genuinely diligent in making sure everyone at the table was comfortable and well cared for throughout the evening. His warmth and patience, especially with two tired young children in our party late in the evening, were greatly appreciated. The appetizers were excellent, and the bread was truly superb. Most of the meal was enjoyable, though a few dishes did not quite live up to their descriptions. The lentil soup, unfortunately, was rather bland and forgettable, lacking flavor and depth. Two entrées the tilapia specialty and a risotto-style dish also felt somewhat overstated compared to expectations and unfortunately they were way over salted. To the restaurant's credit, concerns were addressed politely and professionally, though the offer of a replacement felt a bit scripted as the evening was growing late. We did choose not to accept the replacement. Overall, however, the atmosphere, hospitality, and thoughtful service made for a very pleasant evening. With a bit more care from the kitchen in matching execution to presentation and description, this charming restaurant could truly shine. On this visit my wife ordered with their charcuterie board which she loves. I decided to try their Ribeye Steak. I usually hesitate ordering steak because I don't want to be disappointed. Vinca's ribeye was one of the best steaks I've had at a restaurant in a long time. Cooked a perfect medium rare, it was seasoned right and the texture was almost melt in your mouth. We ended our meal with a glass of their ice wine paired with a delicious crème brûlée. Fantastic evening, reasonable prices, great wine list, amazing food, and top notch service!

The crust was super crispy, and just loaded with amazing, locally sourced toppings. The Carmine pizza had Colorado mushrooms, sausage with fennel, fresh basil, multiple types of cheese, including ricotta- my mouth was singing with all the flavors. They generously gave us some additional ricotta cheese- if you are willing to spend the $2 extra for that, you should. It MADE our pizza. The ranch and tomato sauce were good too, and believe you me we ate every bit of them, but the ricotta took it to a whole new level. The pizza was a good size for 2 people, we each got 4 slices and felt a little too full but not painfully full. You could feed 4 on it if you do an additional appetizer or dessert. This is a bare bones operation- they have a kiosk to order from, pay with card, they have a cooler stocked with various drinks. They do have a little bit of seating, so if you live too far to take it to go reasonably, you can absolutely eat it there.
