I've only eaten at this location twice or three times. I'm not really a fan of their chili, but every blue moon I crave a burger and stop here. The food seems pretty fresh and I've always been satisfied. I'm writing this review mainly because of the customer service. They've always been really friendly when I go in, lots of "please" and "thank you", which goes a long way in my book. They have a genuine interest in the customer. I think Tommy's is in my DNA. When my parents were dating, they would go to the Tommy's on Rampart. This is a family tradition for us, my dad took me, I take my sons. We all have the same favorites. My boys like the chilidogs and chili fries. I like em too, plus a chili tamale. Get it with everything, tomato, cheese,pickles. Get a couple of peppers too. Amongst all my reviews I find it weird I've yet to have reviewed Tommy's, but alas the drought has been put to rest. I only have one word when Tommy's comes to mind: CHILI, CHILI, CHILI! OK, ok that's 3 but once you taste it who's counting? I have eaten at this particular location only twice, but what seems consistent about all I have stepped into is the service and just quality cuisine. I do see that they are passionate about their craft and don't look at it like serving the masses fast food slop which is nice to see. Food-wise, the chili is world renowned for a reason and just a scoopful of chili helps anything go down (sorry Mary Poppins). My go to meal has always been the chili cheeseburger and chili cheese fries. By no stretch of the mind the chili is not skimped out on and the meat of the burger is always grilled to the nine! What I missed out on last time, but is always a crowd pleaser is their chili dog. You can sense the recurring theme here, but everything has always been a hit and no misses here at all! I've been to this Tommy's numerous times but this was the first time I actually had bad meat from there! I ordered a cheeseburger burger and chili cheese fries. The fries were fine, but the meat on the burger looked weird. I went ahead and ate some of it but I could not even finish it because it tasted disgusting and I knew it wasn't fully cooked. Tommys is my favorite burger place since a child. This location is one of the cleanest we have been too. Plenty of parking and right off the 15 at Ontario next to In n Out. They have drive thru and plenty of seating. Staff was friendly and quick with the order. Prices have gone up, a combo runs about $9, bit higher than most other places. read more

They give you the option to put a lot of things on your burger such as chili and peppers and the like and in the end it's not as good as In and Out Burger. And unfortunately, there's an in and out right across the street from this restaurant. To make matters worse, Tommy's sells Pepsi products. Given the choice between Tommy's and in and out I'd have to go to In and Out. However there was very little line in the drive thru which is a big plus for me an employee was very courteous. read more

Don't Order from DoorDash at this location... also dont complain if somethings wrong. I got my order delivered to my work, and when it arrived there were two USED fake eyelashes in the bag. I was DISGUSTED. I called to make the restaurant aware. the manager picked up, and was VERY rude and DID NOT CARE about what i was saying. I said "hello i just wanted to call to let you know what happened" and his response was "okay....", i said, can i talk to the manager please? to which he responded "i am the manager, and i put your order together myself, so...." at that point, i just thought the whole situation was so ridiculous that i left it at that. I have been eating at Tommy's for as long as I can remember. I used to live close to the Original Tommy's on Beverly and Rampart in Los Angeles. I have eaten at almost every Tommy's in existence and every time is a special treat. At this Tommy's the staff is always friendly and the food is awesome! This was hands down one of the worst experiences I've had with dining out. We placed a DoorDash order, which I know adding a third party leads more chances for error. That being we didn't receive 3 of the 9 items we had ordered. I called the restaurant to try and see what could be done regarding the order. Rosario the apparent "manager " answered and asked me "are you sure you didn't get those items? I only have one of them here so the others were in the bag." I said yes I'm sure I have people at my house with no food.... she then told me she can only replace the one item left behind. She pretty much called me a liar and couldn't face the fact that people make mistakes and it's possible that her employees didn't make my entire order. When I then asked to speak to the manager she said she was the manager. If that is true all I can say is shame on you Tommy's for allowing someone to make a customer feel so disrespected and to be treated so poorly! We hadn't had Tommy's in years bc we moved from Westminster where we frequented that Tommy's and have been going since we were kids. I would think with all the new modern burger places opening up and all the competitors out there that this "manager" would happily right a wrong and try to make the best out of an accident but instead she insulted me and unfortunately turned us off from ever eating at this location! read more

The chili is stale, and tasted as if I got my dog's poop and I wrapped it in cheese, warmed it up, and then seasoned it with random seasoning I found in the kitchen, then covered it in more cheese. The grease bled through the tray and all over the table- what's the point of a drink? The water may just have been the best thing on the menu. I think there's a cow shitting in the back. Best Chili anywhere, ever, period. If you don't agree I don't care, this is an absolute fact. I've never had a burger here without it, and to be honest I bet they're not that good without it smothered on top. You come to Tommy's the Chili. The Chili Cheese Fries with the fries extra crispy (well done) are HEAVEN. I like these better than a burger by far. The Hot Dogs are also good. If you've never been, the chili isn't like any other place at all. It's SUPER THICK, no beans, good spices, great flavor, it's literally a Chili paste. When I go there I have zero shame in picking up the burger or fry wrapper to lick the excessive Chili off when I'm done. And yes there will be excess, so grab a fork even if you don't get Chili Fries. Did I mention the breakfast sandwiches KICK ASS. Sausage + Egg + Cheese + Chili = wooooowoooooo! I haven't hit many of the OC/LA locations for ages. But this one has recently added a Breakfast Burrito, with yep you guessed it, Chili! I've ordered it once, and it was good. It was nice and big, much bigger than one from Del Taco or Taco Bell. Eggs were fresh, sausage was tasty, hash browns were a bit crispy and the Chili was GOOOOOOOOD! Even tho it didn't have an effect on me, the size of it plus the combination of lots of eggs + sausage + chili might result in gas for some people. Man oh man so delicious. And while they've always offered chili to go if you asked, they semi-recently actually put it on the menu. I believe they use to have a 1/2 gallon. Now it's 3 sizes, I picked up the large (32oz) for $7.10. Which put it only slightly more expensive than 3 cans of way weaker canned chili from a grocery store. This was my first time ordering it. It made for some AWESOME Nachos, and I made my own home made Chili Dogs which were of course great. Try heating up a bowl and dicing up a Hot Dog in it, simple and UMMM good. Tommy's is the greatest place to eat, I like this location because it's pretty close to me, and easy to get to. The one on Mission Grove is also good. Tommy Koulax is a GOD. I'm going tomorrow for breakfast I shall inquire if they still have the huge 1 gallon jugs in the back still. 32oz just isn't enough for me lol. There is an In-N-Out directly across the street. I might get some chili to go sometime soon, trek over to In-N-Out and try a Double Double with the Chili added. AHHH! P.S. Fat Burger is overrated, expensive and their Chili's god awful.
