The Chili Cheeseburger
Melinda L.

This is a decent Tommy's in the area. Been here a few times over the years. The quality of their burgers are still there, but customer service is a little blah, both inside and drive-thru. On my last visit, I ordered their Chili Cheeseburger with everything and it was as expected, just simply good. Their combo prices have jumped A LOT, at about $18-$22 (with tax) depending on which combo you get. Menu hasn't changed but those are all incredibly overpriced. Know it's the times, but I was sticker shocked. My one burger though, was $7 total. Love Tommy's, but it's just a place I'll come only as a treat. Service is also pretty slow. Also note that this location is in a plaza that often have transients or the homeless. I almost had an attempted vehicle break-in when I was just leaving in front of their parking lot in broad daylight in the afternoon. Just stay alert.

Chili Fries YUM!!

I've been coming here for several years utilizing the DriveThru. My order has always been correct and my food fresh just how I like it. I've only ordered the Chili fries asking for my fries to be well done which they will.

2024 updated review I love the hash browns at Tommy's! I know that is very random, but that my thing lol I also like that they serve breakfast all day. My husband loves breakfast for all times of day. He ordered a breakfast burrito and chili cheese fries. I got a hash brown and regular fries. The hubs said his chili cheese fries were aaamazing! That's his favorite thing at Tommy's. Which makes sense to me. Sometimes he gets a burger also, but he really goes for those fries! Our service was good. They packed up our order all nice. Plus, no one was in the drive thru, so it was super quick!

Wrong order

Went here this afternoon through the drive thru and ordered 2 double chili cheeseburgers, a classic cheeseburger with cheese and ketchup only (because even though you say ketchup only, they think that also means no cheese), and a chili cheeseburger. If you look at the receipt I posted, nothing of what I ordered is on it. I noticed it after I paid and told the guy as he was handing me 3 burgers. I said oh I think this is the wrong order and he double checked and was like no this is the right order. And I told him what I ordered and he said oh I didn't hear that, here's your food. I'm like uh okay, this isn't what I wanted and shut the door. Like how absurd. Won't ever come back that's for sure. Burgers aren't that great and they take forever to give you the food. And it was 4 PM on a Monday while the other restaurant was packed, Tommy's was a desert island.

Chili cheese burger 8/10 Fries 6/10 Service 10/10 When it's late on a Saturday night & most other establishments are closed, Tommy's really came through for me. When the weather gets cold, I start craving a warm, hearty chili cheese burger. I was not too impressed with the size of the burgers. I ended up paying $23 for 1 double chili cheese burger, 1 single chili cheese burger, 1 classic cheeseburger and one order of fries. As an added tip, I like adding ketchup & hot sauce to my CCB. What really made this experience great was the service. The gentleman I spoke to was very courteous. He offered me a cup of water while I waited and shared his suggestions and preferences when I asked. I definitely was not expecting that level of customer service that late at night. As an added note, Google said Tommy's was closed but it turns out Google was wrong and Yelp was right.

Drive through is legit. They made me fresh fries and an amazing chili burger... brought me my childhood memories when I would go to the OG on Rampart with my family before a dodger game..

Great service & great order accuracy. Came to this location by accident since I was exiting to get gas at the Arco across the street. Same great taste brought back memories of my youth when visiting the OG location on Beverly. Fresh thick slices of tomato, tart pickles & onions on top of that delicious no bean chili. Will definitely visit this place again. A perfect stop to fill up both tanks

Tommy's gives me what i want/need every time. My girl got the burger and i got the chili cheese dog and the chili tamale. She liked hers but didn't rave about it. Chili cheese dog was great as always. No beans In Tommy's chili as usual. It hit the spot and the chili had a kick to it. The chili tamale was the star of this show. Never heard of it before, but what a great idea. Went thru the drive thru and the girl was great, handling all of our lame questions. Asked for a lid to the box since we were driving from Corona to Murrieta and it made the drive. Tommy's was exactly the same as I remember, even the smell was exactly the same and it brought back some memories. It's a true original and I appreciate the attention to detail Tommy's brings. Thank you for the consistency Tommy's!

A rubber Burger on some janky chili. Super yucky. In and out is like gourmet cuisine compared to this places. Employees are not very smart.

They also had festive decor up for the World Cup, which was playing on the TVs and added a great energy to the room. The service was awesome! Our server was incredibly friendly and spoke to us like we'd been friends for years. She was so cool. We ended up staying for hours just enjoying the vibe of the brunch crowd and the soccer fans. Food & Drinks: LOVED! The Mimosa Flight (~$9 per drink): We shared this between two people and it comes with 8 different flavors! It included peach, pineapple, strawberry, cranberry, orange, pomegranate, and I think mango (can't remember the last one, sorry!). I love that the glasses were actually filled. I watched them make them, and it's a majority of champagne with just a splash of juice. Chilaquiles: This has become my absolute favorite breakfast dish lately, so I try it everywhere. It was very yummy here! It comes with eggs, and I added steak for some extra protein. The presentation was beautiful, too. Highly recommend! Steak & Eggs: My friend ordered a dish that had a different name on the menu, but it was essentially steak and eggs. She said it was absolutely delicious. The bathroom was clean, and I noticed they have a changing table available as well, which is always a great plus. Overall, I had a really good time eating, drinking, and talking here. I will definitely be back!

Wait Staff: I wish I took the name of our waitress because she was awesome, funny and knowledgeable about the menu. All waiters/waitresses were great. Drinks: Unfortunately I didn't get any drinks because we kept seeing the brightly colored drinks and flights being served around us and I was jealous, they all looked awesome. Food: This is where it gets good because the food was A+++mazing. We started off with just the salsa, chips and for a nice surprise, some warm beans. The salsa brought a tear to my eye because it was soooo good. Luckily, my son doesn't eat salsa so I drank it all down. The chips were perfectly fresh and crispy. Guac: So, our waitress brought us some off the menu guac, and, WTF, why are they hiding this recipe from the rest of the world. I literally got into a fist fight with my son because he was trying to take it from me (not really) but I didn't want to share. The presentation was so cute too. Plantains + chips + guac = heavan Fajitas: I ordered fajitas and all boxes were checked, quantity, quality, and taste. I ordered the chicken and it was juicy and thick and perfectly seasoned. Steak tacos: My kid ordered the steak tacos and we brokered a deal to trade some steak for chicken and this was the best deal made since the New Deal (American history). Steak was chunky and juicy and fresh! The only problem with this place is that it is very far from my house as I was in the 'hood for my kids basketball tournament. If I am in the area you better believe that I will be back. Oh yeah, and very affordable for the upscale dining.

Great food is important, but great service is what turns a meal into an exceptional dining experience, and he delivered both. From the moment we walked in until the time we left, he was attentive, prompt, respectful, and genuinely kind. I also noticed how he interacted with the other tables around us. Every guest seemed to feel like they had his full attention, which is a rare quality. I work in an industry where I do a lot of hiring, and Luis is exactly the kind of person we look for. When Tara and I were dating one of her favorite things to do was grab a meal at IHOP. Breakfasts,…read morelate night dinners, post-film treats--all were susceptible to being done at IHOP. It's because of this I got very familiar with Swedish Crepes or Pancakes, as some might call them. I don't know if they were ever my favorite style of pancakes but they were always an option on those rare occasions I wanted something with more fruit than blueberry. Tara always appreciated me making an effort to broaden my perspective on what a good pancake or crepe constituted. That being said, I hardly ever run into great Swedish crepes. Usually the butter or compote is sub-standard, and I usually feel like I should've gotten something different. Silver Dollar Pancake House makes some majestic Swedish crepes. Yes, it's more of a cranberry than a lingonberry, but otherwise the compote and Swedish butter are spot-on. The crepes came out nice and thin, but still super flavorful. Everything came together so great. Even the fact the special comes with six sausages after you switch out the bacon is amazing. I would get this deal over and over again. The service at the counter was frenzied and focused. Every time I needed my coffee refilled, the server was on it. The food came quickly and there were frequent check-ins. It's literally everything you could want in customer service at a counter. Yes, the ambiance is bit crowded and a bit hectic. I don't envy trying to get a seat in the dining room because everything is but cramped up in there. That being said, I don't think anyone waited longer than fifteen minutes and folks seemed genuinely glad to be there. It's the price you pay for eating at a popular breakfast spot with breakfast entrees this delicious. Plus, eating at the counter always seemed open. And from someone who hates eating at counters most of the time, that's saying a lot that I would suggest it as a viable option. Overall, this is the dream place for those like Tara who can't get enough of pancakes and a damn good option for those like me who are content to keep their amateur status intact by only occasionally indulging in the Swedish signature dish.
