My friends and I decided to try out Oswego Grill for our monthly supper club! We had reservations and were seated right away. The place was fairly busy for a Tuesday night. Our server was kind and thoughtful. She did miss a few things but corrected any issues right away and had a wonderful attitude! The mojito I ordered came late but was well presented and delish although rather weak on the alcohol imo. We ordered food right away and it did seem to take a long time to come out. Almost an hour? We were chatting and catching up so for us it was no big deal but that seemed excessively long. Food was good. Not spectacular but definitely not bad. Salmon was meh. Moist but nothing amazing. Rice was rice.. asparagus fine. Chicken Marsala was decent, again nothing fantastic but also nothing worth complaining about. The stuffed chicken seemed to be the best dish at the table. We did get surprised with a banana split to share and a sweet card when our server saw we were having a "moms night out" so that was very kind and helped ease the delay in getting dinner. (We did get one appetizer pretty quickly so it's not like we were staring blankly into empty plates, but an hour to get dinner was long) I would return and give them another try. We saw other meals go by that looked good and worth coming back. They are still new and working the kinks. Service over all was good! read more

We have been to the Oswego locations in Portland and loved them. The food is great, staff is wonderful, and the overall value and menu selections are pretty decent. When we heard that they would be replacing the Beaches locations, we were both sad and excited. Today, we decided to try out the new location for lunch. It was a hot Sunday and we wanted to sit outside. We always loved sitting outside at Beaches and this was no different. Walking through the entrance, we were immediately greeted by friendly staff and we got to see the new layout of the interior. It was nice, and not long after opening, there were quite a few people already.We were greeted again by our server, who was kind and informative and we were thirsty so we opted for non-alcoholic cocktails because it was too early to drink, and we loved the selection. I had mango iced tea, and my wife had the pina colada. Both were refreshing. We then selected the calamari and the ahi nachos. Presentation was excellent for both and the ingredients were fresh. The calamari was light, but with generous chunks battered and fried. It wasn't chewy and the batter was light. The aoli was a perfect complement for the lightly seasoned batter. The nachos were beautiful! Fresh fruit and glaze made them a real treat. Perfect for two! We then chose to split a full rack of ribs. The ribs had a great rub/glaze and the texture was just how we like them, with a bit of resistance and chew, but easily pulled from the bone. At other locations, we have enjoyed the burgers, particularly the Wagyu, and the miso salmon dishes. The desserts are great as well although we opted to not have one this trip. Vancouver needed a reasonably priced dining experience on the water, and Oswego is it. This place will be a favorite for many in Vancouver and we can't wait to go back! read more

I thought the inside was beautifully remodeled. Greeted immediately while walking inside. Now, the service was subpar at best. We asked the server if they had a larger menu he said no. We find out were missing two entire pages out of our menu. The wait time was insane (lunch on a Friday). The food came out cold but honestly it was so tasty. Every single dish that came by looked beautiful. Out of a magazine beautiful. We talked to the manager and she comped our burger. So we will be back to give it another go. read more

This is our second time visiting Oswego Grill on Columbia River. I was disappointed by the customer service of both the hostess and management. Our wait time was very long. Talking to the manager about our frustration of watching others get sat before us, he was quick to provide us with multiple excuses. It's really too bad because both the waitress that served us and the food was great. Im hoping with a little more time, service will improve. Even a simple offer of free dessert or appetizer would have made a huge difference. I wasn't looking for a freebie and would have turned the offer down, but it at least would have been a token of "I hear your concern and we want to make this right". Good management can recover a negative experience. Bad management just reenforces a bad experience. read more

While the prime rib was cooked correctly, it was served with an excessive amount of soggy and greasy fries instead of buttermilk mashed potatoes. Halfway through our meal, we inquired why three of our six dinners had substitution of fries instead of what was listed on the menu. We were then offered 1 side of mashed potatoes. The hand-breaded chicken tenderloin appetizer was burnt, dry, and overcooked. Parking at the is extremely challenging, particularly during happy hour. The wait staff appeared to be inexperienced and apprehensive. The table next to ours requested that their shade be raised so that they could enjoy the view. Unfortunately, the sun reflection blinded 3 of our 6 guests sitting behind them. When we approached the waitstaff to inquire about the matter, they lowered the shade back down. However, this self-centered and inconsiderate couple with a young girl asked another manager to once again raise the shade. This behavior offended us. The manager offered to move us to one of the two empty tables behind us. Relocating six large men with cocktails, 3 appetizers, and 6 half-eaten meals seemed unusual rather than asking the couple to be relocated, especially since they had not yet ordered their dinner. Mr. James Arnold, the issue of blinding sun reflection will continue to happen - might want to chat with your staff about a friendly, inclusive & rational solution. We had initially wanted to celebrate our upcoming 10 year anniversary in their 32 person event space to the right of the entrance. Shockingly well-staffed for these times. Excellent staff, some of the best I've seen in some time. This includes the management staff that was overseeing the floor. I had the ribs, my wife had the big ribeye. She loved the ribeye, it was perfect for her. I adore that the mashed potatoes were unmistakably fresh from scratch, neither of us will accept anything else. The ribs were very good, done to a perfect degree but slightly dry in spots. The sauce was bold and not too sweet. Probably the best ribs in this town, albeit a low bar. My wife enjoyed her margaritas. Parking is hard to come by during busy times, which are busy indeed. It's not cheap but it's not yet Seattle pricing. In return, you get better food and service than the Beaches it replaces by every metric. read more

I am blown away by the extremely friendly staff (shoutout to Cam!) and the food was delicious. Prices were not viciously overpriced which is tough to find these days. Food was splendid, and both of our meals were absolutely delicious. We were celebrating a special occasion, and Cam went out of his way to make it as special as possible, and he killed it. Took the husband there for his first visit. He was quite impressed. I had been last month and told him how nice it was. Love the casual vibe, in a nicer restaurant. Lobby was full of customers waiting for tables. We skipped that line and sat in the bar, where there were plenty of open tables wait staff promptly greeted us, food and drinks arrived quickly. I was a bit disappointed in the caramel martini. It was ok,not too sweet and glass was about 3/4 full Probably won't order that again but there are many other good choices on the menu. I had the large prawn fettuccine and my husband got the stuffed salmon. The buerre blanc sauce was delicious. Both were very good! Good size portions, I did bring a out 1/3 of my pasta, and a couple of shrimp home.. Nothing on the dessert menu jumped out at me, usual fair cookie and ice cream, apple crisp, etc. would like to see something different on the dessert menu that specific to the restaurant. . Absolutely recommend! Great atmosphere! Right in the water and beautiful view. We stumbled across this place on our way out of town and were pleasantly surprised! Our waiter in the bar was so nice and very accommodating. He commented on my husband's Brandon Lake sweatshirt and we had a good chat. We had the artichoke dip, stuffed salmon, the clam chowder (Must try), and beef medallions. The asparagus was cooked perfectly and had amazing flavor. I wish the salmon would have had a little more stuffing and crab but nevertheless it was tasty and a good portion. Even the rice had good flavor. You have to try this place! read more

WOW sad review here Brother's birthday and I recommended this because we had dinner there previously and it was good. But we won't be back. Service was terrible and the food was awful. Fries cold, my sliders were dry and had no flavor! Fish and chips weren't good either. Yes they gave us a comped banana split a martini glass filled with whip cream and seriously 2 bites of actual ice cream. Came here for a date night with the wife. I was pleasantly surprised to hear there was a happy hour menu available. I guess we got lucky! Escorted to our seat, we wait for service. Pretty nice ambiance, I like what they did with the place. We continue to wait for service. Solid array of sports on a few televisions. I like what they did with the place after since taking it over from Beaches. We continue to wait for service. After 9 minutes we left. Place wasn't busy so i can't give em much room there. I took a friend to lunch on Sunday, April 26th, 2026. I ordered the Alaskan King Salmon dinner - $32.00 and an iced tea - $4.99. When my meal came, I was shocked. The salmon was gray and mushy. It didn't flake, like it should. I took a tiny bite and knew right away, the salmon was off. I sent it back and requested a new meal. The salmon came out the 2nd time, gray and mushy, only this time, it wasn't cooked through. I was too gun-shy to try anything else. My friend was long finished with her meal and I didn't want to invest any more time in experimenting. The bill was brought, my meal was not on there, but they couldn't be bothered to comp my iced tea. I thought that was the least they could do for the disappointing experience. Midway through the meal, a couple was brought into the bar, with their French bulldog. I was puzzled, as the dog was not wearing a "service dog" vest. A few minutes later, a couple of gals were seated, and one of them had a dog...in a stroller. I asked on the way out if they allowed dogs. I was told they allowed service animals. When I mentioned the Frenchie did not have a service vest, I was then told they allowed "emotional" support animals. I asked how they checked that, and was told, "we don't really check that". I'm pretty sure the state of Washington doesn't allow pets in restaurants. Besides the hygiene factor, what about people who may be allergic to dogs, or afraid of them? Experience was awful. Come for the Staff, Stay for the Comedy Show (Because It's Certainly Not for the Food) If laughter truly is the best medicine, then this restaurant might actually be saving lives, because the food was so tragically bad it became hilarious. We started optimistically with the clams. In reality, it was more like a steaming bowl of rubber bands dunked in hot butter. No flavor, no seasoning, just chewy little cardio workouts for the jaw. Next came the tenderloin tips, which must have been the leftovers from a cow's gym membership. Oddly fatty, sinewy, and reminiscent of a freshman dorm cafeteria's attempt at "fancy steak night." Nostalgic, but not in a good way. My mother's shrimp scampi did deliver some decent shrimp, but they were tragically imprisoned in a carbohydrate brick. The noodles and cheese had fused together into something that could probably pass building inspection. If you need foundation material for your next remodel, this kitchen has you covered. Finally, the New York steak. Tender, yes. But completely naked of even a pinch of seasoning. Not salt, not pepper, not even the faintest whiff of someone who once owned a spice rack. Imagine biting into a very soft shoe insert, that's the experience. The ironic cherry on top? The staff was fantastic. Attentive, friendly, clearly doing their best to navigate a sinking ship. In fact, the server almost gave away the punchline when we got the impression complaints like ours are just... Tuesday here. By the end of the meal, we weren't angry, we were in stitches. It just kept getting worse, dish after dish, like a culinary version of a slapstick comedy. If you're hungry, go somewhere else. Our party tried various entrees including bone-in ribeye, NY strip, scallops, prime rib, and a seasonal offering. Desserts were heavenly, and recommended the Farrell's sundae for its nostalgia! This is a very special restaurant great for date nights, special occasions, and friends/family gatherings with incredible views of the river out spacious windows. Man... I was excited about this one and it had a lot to live up to with beaches killing it there for a few decades.. Let's start. The hostess and service were great. Views are great, the facility is beautiful.... The food... the reason we are there was... basic. I do not think they know what medium rare is because my steak came out rarer than rare. It was disgusting. I can't even suggest how to request the New York Strip when their chef doesn't use a thermometer to test meat temps. We got a full rack of ribs and I don't think they could have added anymore sauce before it would have been considered a soup. Wayyyy over sauced but you could tell the ribs were well prepared but way over sauced. Quality of the cocktails were nothing special. You can get their types of drinks at any sports bar for about 25% less expensive. There are literally hundreds of restaurants better bang for your buck than Oswego. The staff is the only real reason for the extra start. My wife isn't a picky eater like myself, and her words "I don't think I ever need to come back here" which sucks because it's so close and has such a vast menu. I feel that once the chefs start caring about the food they put out and the bartenders level up their game this will be a really nice place. I feel bad that the ownership has to put their name on something that their chefs don't care about. My advice... go somewhere else until they have a revamp on quality expectations. read more

Had to stop by for lunch as beaches had one of our favorite views along Vancouver's waterfront. The outdoor seating did not disappoint. Not much has changed about decor, seemed similar enough. The service was fantastic. Our waiter was attentive and made some good recommendations. We went for lunch on a Sunday at around 1:30 and we were seated outside immediately. We had the chicken strip w/ cajon seasoning appetizer, wedge salad, and the prime rib French dip and seared salmon sandwich. Chicken strips were hand breaded and really good!! Wedge salad was great and they spilt in two for us. French dip was really good, it was a large prime rib sliced perfect medium on bread. Horseradish on side. It was a horseradish spread, we both felt it could use more of a kick but still taste. However I want to feel the burn . Seared salmon was fantastic, loved the cucumber that it was dressed with. Salmon cooked a perfect medium. We also had the roasted jalapeno margarita and the prickly pear Cadillac margarita. Both hit the spot. The Jalapeno was a nice kick! If you like spicy drinks, this is for you. Delicious! Overall solid 4 stars. If I could do half stars maybe 4.5. read more

We were signing loan documents at the title company in the same plaza, and our notary recommended Oswego Grill happy hour. We decided to go try it instead of driving home in rush-hour traffic. We sat down at the bar and waited for the bartender to finish up his conversation with another customer. It seemed like they were personal friends. We had to kind of get his attention to ask for a menu after waiting for a while, and by then we were *one* minute too late for happy hour. But he would not make an exception even though it was kind of his issue for ignoring us for ten minutes. Already a little bit disappointed by that, since you would expect them to keep a track of new customers sitting down especially right around the time of happy hour, we decided to still eat there from the regular dinner menu. The crabcake was excellent, but the petrale sole had a slightly fishy taste and I are only part of one of the filets. It was OK. Alas, I was not OK later that night. I will spare you the details of my overnight ordeal. I likely will not want to return. The fish I could chalk up to it being an off night, but the service doesn't make me want to rush back to try it again. read more

It's nice to have another great place on this side of the river! We've eaten at Oswego Grill twice, but at 2 other locations in Oregon. Service and food has always been great the times we've visited. Today we finally had a chance to stop at the newest location here in Vancouver right off the river where Beaches used to be. We got there around 4:15pm or so and the parking lot was already packed. There was a gentleman that opened the door for us as soon as we walked up and we were immediately greeted by 2 young female staff members. The wait for a table was about 20 mins but we asked to sit at the bar because we wanted to check out their happy hour. There was also a wait for the bar which was first come, first serve but we waited about 20 mins for a table to open up for us. We each ordered a margarita and had sliders, fish tacos and the lettuce wraps. All the items we ordered were tasty and we can't wait to come back to check out the other food items we haven't tried. Our waitress was nice and we got our food in a timely manner, despite how busy they were. Great vibes and nice ambiance. Can't wait to return! read more

If someone asked me my thoughts on Oswego Grill on the waterfront I would say "it's fine." I'm granting some leniency because they just opened, but I've had similar experiences and thoughts on the other locations. It's dependable, great location and they accept reservations. The food is very meh, chain style consistency, nothing will blow you away. I had the crab cakes, which were fine. The burger looked on the dry side. And everyone else had the seafood pasta, which was bland. Service needed to be refined, it was a little disorganized. We had to ask for basically everything, to order, waters, refills, napkins and so on. I think this place is a good go to for groups or with picky eaters, because the food is dependable and has something for everyone. It was my brother's birthday and they gave him a wonderful sundae that was really festive with a card and he was excited about that. I hope they work on their service and add some more fresh seasonal items. read more

We visited Oswego Grill the night before Thanksgiving. It was pretty slow when we first arrived but people were streaming in when we left. I ordered a cocktail with hibiscus and vodka which was not only pretty, but also delicious and refreshing. My brother-in-law was disappointed that Miller Lite was not on the menu but he was satisfied with a Diet Pepsi. We ordered the calamari for an appetizer. It was quite good, the breading was delicious, but more seasoning would have made this dish better. For dinner, we ordered the cheeseburger, fried chicken, and two orders of the cod fish and chips. My cheeseburger ($19) had a thick patty, cheddar cheese, lettuce, tomato and onion. I was told this was the best cheeseburger in town. It was good, but nothing special. My fries were sort of burnt and a little cold. My husband had the fried chicken ($23). It was in sort of a chicken strip type form. My husband said it was juicy and delicious, and the breading was phenomenal. Our other two family members had the cod fish and chips ($23). The fish were quite large and came on a huge plate, with a big bowl of coleslaw, and lots of hand-cut fries. They both devoured the fish and said it was some of the best they have had. We will be back to try the halibut.($32). The fish is battered using Widmer beer so I am excited to try it in the future. All in all, Oswego Grill is a beautiful restaurant with phenomenal views of the Columbia River. That alone is worth the visit. The food is better than average, and I will definitely be back to try some more menu items. read more

We had a fantastic lunch yesterday with long time friends. It was so special seeing and talking with many previous teammates. I was surprised that this Owego Grill has garnered only 3 1/2 stars on this platform. I felt it was a high 5, but I do agree with one reviewer that the water tasted funky. Filter? They were celebrating two weeks of being opened, so some grace needs to be allowed. Josh was our server and he was perfect. His timing and engaging style was excellent. We had the Artichoke Spinach Cheese Dip and it was perfect. My wife's House Greens was also excellent. The Sushi plates that our friends ordered were large and beautifully prepared. The Crab Cakes were excellent. My Parmesan Sole was so good. Large filet and the wood-fired asparagus were perfectly cooked. Great location as the remodel from Beaches was quite successful. Have been wanting to come and check this place out, so we decided to celebrate my Mom birthday here. Carson was our waiter and we were in a section with a HUGE birthday party but he still took the time to help us decide on menu items and give us insight into our choices. The crab cakes were amazing, the "salsa" on them was delicious. My Mom and Husband got the chicken dinner and loved it, Mom wasn't a huge fan of the gravy but we all loved the coleslaw. I got the seasonal steak sandwhich and it was delicious! My son got the Mac and Cheese with a side of fries and loved it. The air conditioner was on and it was quite intense when we got there but they immediately turned it down which was nice. The restaurant itself is soo beautiful inside and just a very nice place for a good dinner. So happy we tried it and will be back. read more

What a shame , nothing special (except the view). For reference, my husband and I have eaten at the original Oswego Grill in Lake Oswego many times and love it, and I've eaten out the one in Beaverton, which is OK. I think they have gone down hill since they've started becoming a chain operation , which is a bummer . We had reservations on a Sunday night and were seated outside, which was lovely. For starters , we sat about 10 min when I finally asked for water, and our server only brought a glass for me and not my husband , which seems strange on an 80° day. We both started with their dinner salad and were disappointed as it seemed like bagged salad (iceberg) that was not fresh and the croutons were stale. Not off to a good start. My husband ordered the ribs, which were dry and scarcely had any meat on them. I had the king salmon which was fine, however the asparagus was grilled too long and inedible as it was tough and stringy from being overcooked . For the drinks, he ordered a beer which made its way out after about 10 min. My drink was not with it (a huckleberry cocktail) and we waited another 7-8 minutes for it to arrive . Lastly, once we gave her our credits card to pay , it was at least another 10 minutes until our server came back with our check. Overall, very disappointing for $150 . In the future we will stick with some of our favorite restaurants in Vancouver such as the Cove and Amarro's table. read more
