I won a contest for t-shirt a design I created. Part of my prize were gift certificates for Otto. I had never heard of them before, So shout Otto, since the contest was a design for charitable causes! I enjoyed their pizza very much. I went with a party of 4, and we enjoyed ourselves at the patio seating. It was early fall weather, perfect for hoodies and pizza. I consider myself a pizza connoisseur, I have been to a few of the top pizza spots on the east coast, and many more than that. I have made pizzas for a living, I understand how dough works and why/how its just right for a perfect crust. I love pizza and I'm coming back to OTTO because they are a quality pie, and, they are philanthropically minded. More business's like this need to be supported. read more

This pizzeria is one of the better pizza options out there. There is a nice little patio to enjoy lunch on a summer day. The regular pizza is above par, but their best options are their more specialty pies. Their pies with goat cheese and other types of artisan cheeses along with the fine herbs is really the option to go with here in order to make it worth the money. A pie of just regular cheese costs 16 dollars. But they have the delivery down to a science. When they say 30 minutes or less, they mean 30 minutes or less. The price is higher, but the quality of all of their pies are better than most places in the area. It is typical thin crest, but large pies and larger slices. I would recommend this place. I have given this place my business twice. Once going to their location and once for a delivery, and both times I was satisfied. read more

I've been counting down the days for this place to finally open. If you ever tried their pizza in Portland, Harvard SQ or Brookline you know what I mean. Finally it's accessible from 128!! I was so happy to have Otto closer to home after trying their pizza at the Coolidge Corner location. I love that they have a variety of slices for you to try different flavors, or whole pizza if you want just one. Great dough, fresh ingredients and flavor combinations I certainly wouldn't think of on my own. Try mashed potato and meatloaf if it's available...so good! Only way they'd get better in my mind is if they had beer and wine, but the location isn't really set up for people to stay long. Friendly, quick service with a smile every time I go in. Here is an update. This is based on the order tonight. Instead of trying a regular pizza, I went ahead and ordered another gluten free pizza. I wanted to compare apples to apples for an accurate update. I ordered the spinach, white bean, and roasted garlic gluten free pizza. The delivery guy arrived again within the quoted delivery time. He was friendly. We opened the pizza box and first noticed that it looked amazing and smelled delicious. The crust was perfectly baked to a light golden brown and the cheese and toppings looked appetizing and placed with care. So we tried it.... Here's the thing, some family members are not fond of beans and I've never heard of it on a pizza but wow... Seriously wow. I don't know how they did it, but they made white beans on a pizza into an amazing meat like delicious topping. Some family members don't eat meat, some do. When you eat this, you think it's meat. The toppings were perfect and being a pizza lover, one said, "This is the best gluten free pizza I've had." The crust was great. There were real whole cloves of roasted garlic that were soft and melted into the bite. The sauce was perfect with seasoning and was full of flavor. The only problem I had was I really wish I had ordered two of these because it was gone pretty quickly. If you think beans on a pizza is crazy like I did, give it a shot anyway and you'll be surprised. Even a child loved it. I'm happy we went for it and gave Otto another shot. It could have been an oversight before being overcooked the first time which I understand and first impressions are usually lasting but not in this case. I am happy about that because they use fresh ingredients and are close to us so I will be ordering this pizza again for family pizza night this weekend. I am really excited I gave it a another go. I love this place! Im not a huge fan of traditional pizza so OTTO is a great alternative! They have a ton of options some more "normal" than otheres but my absolute favorite is the bacon mashed potato pizza. The prices are a little high but it's to be expected with gourmet pizza. read more

I had OTTO pizza at their Cambridge location and was happy to hear another one was now open closer to home. This is the best pizza in the Boston area! I had the bacon/mashed potato and a simple margherita slice. Wow, they know exactly how to balance complimentary flavors on a just-crispy crust. So glad I don't have to settle for mediocre pizza when we order out. Definitely more of a slice joint rather than a family sit-down place. I had dinner with my 8 and 10 year old at Otto last week at market st and could not stop them from ordering more and more slices; I, the growing dad that I am, polished off three slices (four if you count the slice I 'borrowed' from the kids) of mashed/bacon/scallion (quite possibly the best pizza combo ever) and a pulled pork slice. It is hard to make pizza that stands out; Otto has done it...my only wish/fear is that they're going to open up a drive thru like Krispy Kreme donuts used to have nearby...Drive thru slices from Otto? I love a weird pizza and this place has a few of them and you can order by the slice. They had a few basic ones made and then a mashed potato, bacon, scallion. If you are only looking for a slice, you are at the whim of the chef because there are only 2-3 pizzas at any time. The place is small, counter service only. I originally thought this was a clothing store when I passed by before they opened and only recently realized they were a pizza place when I spotted the logo in downtown Portland. I am super observant obviously. I ordered a pizza the other night. I wasn't a fan of their press 1 for this location, 2 for this location and so forth phone tree. I've never encountered that before when ordering the number associated with the specific location. I ordered the meatloaf pizza as it was something different and sounded yummy. The wait time was 30 to 45 minutes which seemed super long to me. I arrived about 30 minutes later and there was no line, and the pizza was done. Very done (as I would find out later). A bit pricey for the amount of food too which was a shame. The pizza tasted and looked like it had been done for quite awhile and sat under a heating lamp. It wasn't anything special at all. Barely any meatloaf and oddly enough, barely any potatoes. They had a nice selection but I doubt I'd go back. Three stars instead of two because the next day (re-heated in the microwave) the left-over pizza tasted pretty good, certainly better than when I had it fresh the night before. read more

I was a bit skeptical on trying the pizza here being Otto's is from Portland and it may be "nutty-crunchy" but decided to go ahead and try it for lunch yesterday. So glad i did! I got the pizza deal, 2 slices & drink (got pepperoni slices). The crust was thin and nice & crunchy, and the sauce was sweet and good. (would have preferred it more spread out instead of in globs but was still really good). Will be back again, and will try the Newburyport location now too. read more

I have ordered pizza from Otto's on several occasions. I have been happy with it every time! I am on a gluten free diet, so I always order the gluten free pizza, and have never gotten sick from any cross contamination. Will definitely continue to frequent here! read more

I love tortellini , so since the day this place opened my dad had been dying to get tortellini pizza with me and a couple of weeks ago , he was so excited we ended up getting about $100 of pizza yes you read that right between 3 of us we ordered $100 worth of pizza and ended up being really disappointed the toppings on all the pizzas where scarce and it just wasn't great pizza (we are seasoned pizza eaters and my dad rarely has bad things to say about food , it just wasn't for us read more

I am so excited that OTTO has opened in Lynnfield! The new store is incredible and it's such a great location in the new Market Place. My friends and i went in on Saturday after some shopping and had the most incredible bacon and mashed potato pizza along with the grab and go salad. Both were delicious and totally hit the spot. While sitting enjoying our pie and slices, a manager came over and asked us to sample some different combinations....what a treat. Pizza is good service was less than friendly. Luckily it is counter service so it doesn't really matter. There are tables inside and outside as well as a grassy area that is pleasant for eating on as well. Recently had this pizza when up at the Marketplace. . . I really enjoyed it. I had been wanting to try it. They are know for their mashed potato pizza and it didn't disappoint. I agree with the other reviews that it was a bit greasy, but overall for specialty pizza, it was delicious. Much better than Portland Pie Company in Reading. The only negative was the fountain drinks were also specialty sodas. The root beer was good - but I'm a diet coke fan, so trying other cola was out of the question. read more

I was so excited about trying this pizza because I had heard good things about the food. Unfortunately after extraordinarily poor customer service from both of the people at the front when ordering, we waited a long time, and finally received one good pizza and one very burnt pizza. It had clearly been forgotten in the oven since I watched my husband's "good" pizza sit and wait and wait while mine burned in the oven. The girl could not figure out how to give me my money back, and after all this waiting my toddler was screaming just outside the take-out location (would not call it a restaurant). At one point a man from the kitchen came out and offered me money out of his pocket. I think that's a pretty clear sign that things are going wrong here. My husband did enjoy his pizza, so at least he was happy. read more

Whenever I need a good lunch while I am working I grab a slice of pizza from ottos. I like that they have slices ready and just have to heat them up because I don't have much time to wait. They also offer outside seating. read more

I used online ordering and they did not start my simple order of 1 pizza for over an hour. I watched the estimated time for delivery push back a half hour twice before I called. After checking with the manager they said they would put the pizza in and would deliver in about a half hour. Very frustrating to deal with. read more

If you're looking to try OTTO (and you really should), head to the Brookline location. This (Lynnfield Market) is essentially a take out location. Incredibly limited seating, a few communal tables/window stools. No beer/wine, just a soda machine. While they will make you full pies (in addition to serving by the slice), the place was noisy and not particularly inviting. Wish we had read reviews before traveling! read more

Was an avid customer of the 2 Brookline locations, and was amazed with the pizza. After leaving MA for a year and buying a home in Lynnfield i was excited to try this. Very disappointed. Everything from the dough, sauce and even the making of the pizza has changed. Globs of sauce, no cheese and ritz cracker crust with a side of oil dripping on my plate. Get it together!! read more

This place is trying to capitalize on the affluence of the the Lynnfield area. Anyone who appreciates real pizza and who wants something for the money will be very disappointed. The attempt is noted, but the lack of substance is very real. I ordered a large extra cheese, just to taste the real ingredients of a pizza. The crust was ok, the pizza was very, very dry , almost no sauce, and lite cheese, not extra on it. It was not a mistake, I heard the pizza maker tell me LARGE EXTRA CHEESE VERY CLEAR AS IT CAME OUT OF THE OVEN. This was my first and last time at this poor excuse for a pizza establishment. At the prices they charge for the small and meager portions of dough, sauce , and cheese , this place will thrive if people actually continue to go there. If you can afford 4 large pizza's for very near $100.00 to feed a small family, go for it, but for the average person don't waste your time and money. read more

We've been to Otto in Brookline before and it was by far the best pizza we have EVER had. We were thrilled to learn today that there was an Otto in Lynnfield, so we hopped in the car and decided to head over. Turns out the address of "market street" in Lynnfield, ma does not exist in any GPS, so we ended up getting lost on the way and it took us a little longer to get there than expected. We then finally got there and finally found a parking spot (apparently Friday nights are busy for this plaza.. took about 15 minutes driving in circles to get a spot).... then we walk inside Otto only to find it is nothing like the Brookline location. The Brookline one is a larger restaurant with many tables and available seating. The Lynnfield one had two small tables, that were fully occupied. The rest of the seats were on a counter at the window, but the counter was so small to eat on that the pizza we planned on ordering would not have been able to even be placed on the counter while we ate. We didn't end up getting to eat, due to the lack of seating. I will definitely go to Otto again in other locations, because like I said, BEST. PIZZA. EVER.... but I wish that it was made clear on the website prior to our trip there that this location does not have an abundance of seating. read more
