I can't speak highly enough of burgers in Colorado but this topped the list! The best view and the best burgers ever! It was cooked to order, tasty and came out quickly. The fries and beer is also good! We liked it so much, we ate there twice on our trip. Both times - service was great too!! I can't recommend this place enough!

Needed a place to eat on our drive down the 550 and found this jem. Walking up to the door there is a sign saying wait outside, I'm amazed how many people didn't read the sign and just walked in, the guy at the door made them wait longer if they didn't read it. Hahaha We ordered the daily special burger that had mushrooms A-1 sauce and swiss cheese to split with fries. The burgers are 1/2 lb and cooked great with a nice brown on both sides and lots of mushrooms with melty cheese. The fries were fresh and had wonderful flavor. Overall a great place to have a burger.

A Sign stating they dont appreciate tourist. AKA CUSTOMERS!!

What a great location and we were so excited to come here. We walked up and we saw the sign about waiting outside and we were actually kind of surprised. It was raining and they made everyone stand outside, even though the downstairs was completely empty and the bar wasn't even open, so there was plenty of places for people to stand inside while waiting to get on the list. They even forced a man with his young child to wait outside in the rain and we gave him our umbrella so his six-year-old son wouldnt get wet. They have a sign outside with a tourist danger meter. Which I found insulting considering Ouray is off the beaten path and their bread and butter are tourists. The beer was tasty until a waiter came by and put his fingers in our glasses to remove them before we were even finished. Overall not a place where we felt in inviting atmosphere and that they wanted people to be coming to their establishment. There are so many other restaurants and cool bars to go to where they really want you to come visit them.

Great and classic brewery. I got the buffalo wings with ranch and blue cheese and a small side salad. The bar is super fun with swings instead of barstools.

My mom, Aunt and I stopped in for lunch and we were seated immediately. The server was friendly and gave us a moment to look over the menu. She was back shortly after and we ordered burgers and a grilled cheese and chili. The burger was delicious, tender, flavorful and cooked great. The grilled cheese had a great crunch on the bread and a beautiful stretch of cheese when taking that first bite! The chili was tasty also! The fries were crispy and craveable. Cute place, good food, will definitely be back.

Great beers were affordable. The view from the rooftop bar was with the stop. Sit on the rail and enjoy the views below. I'd defiantly go back and bring a few friends too.

My fiancé and I stopped here a couple years ago and I still think about it. We were sat upstairs and had a beautiful view. The food took a while to be served but our hostess gifted us one of their glasses in return for us waiting so long. The service was incredible and I would recommend it to anyone going through Ouray. Hoping to stop in again here in a few weeks.

Ouray is gorgeous little town with steep canyon walls and is very picturesque. Ouray brewery serves up some decent food and is not overly priced comparatively to the other nearby tourist traps. If you are only a little peckish this is good place to stop in for a quick bite. Service was attentive and courteous.

This is one of the main larger breweries to check out when you're in Ouray. It was busy but we were able to get seated at another bar counter upstairs. They have swinging bar chairs downstairs that we didn't get to use, but it looked fun! Looks like they brew in-house since we got to see their brew process. Their food looked good but we didn't get any, as we continued to bar hopped everywhere on Main St. it was good to know they had 5oz pours too if you don't want a usual pint.

Food looked awesome especially the burgers but only had beers, they were great. The rooftop has stunning views. Aaron the owner was awesome I came with my service animal and he new exactly what to ask and what not too, on the way out he thanked us for having a well behaved dog, I told him a real service animal will be well behaved and invisible to most people, challenge is people have abused the it for all the wrong reasons.

The views from here are absolutely amazing. I also loved that they had overhead coverage for shade, so that the majority of us were not sitting in the sun. Service is great everyone there is friendly. We ordered chicken wings, TWICE because they were so delicious! The fries were really good too. Next time we are in the area. We will absolutely be back for more! Delicious

Solid burger joint with a few options for starters. The beer is definitely the highlight, and will keep us coming back. It's a sure thing.

Can I bring my dog to the rooftop area?

Last I knew, dogs are only allowed at the tables at the outdoor area along the street.

It's a 140-year place with history and charm and creaks in the floor and a dead bear on the wall and preserved painting of a woman on the bar floor... that kinda spot. And we wouldn't change a thing. The bar and bartenders are cocktails are all super cool, including a single large branded ice cube in the glass. Let's talk about the restaurant, though. I didn't want to venture and we gave it a shot. Nothing on the menu really even looked appetizing to me or the kids but we put on a good face anyway for mom. We ate all the food and our words--it was all delicious! By the way: I've spoken to locals and frequenters of Ouray who say that The Western was once considered kinda dumpy before a renovation in the past few years. I can't speak for how it was then, but I can tell you how it is now is just where I want to be.

They have a small kitchenette with a fridge, bags of ice and coffee machines and they restock it daily. They also offer a whisky bar and a rooftop bar. The rooftop bar has a great view and a good bartender but it closes at 8:00 pm. The negatives are: the whiskey bar is never open. Maybe in the height of summer but certainly not when we were they (for three nights) and when I asked the bartender told me he had no plans to open it. However the real negative was the bathroom in our room (The Memphis). My wife always says that innkeepers who run boutique properties should stay in every room for one night. I think that if they had done they would understand the drawbacks of our room. The shower area has one open wall that let's water spill out over the rest of the bathroom. They have a rain shower head and wall mounted head that is the perfect for those vertically challenged folk (4'10" and under fit perfectly). Most wall mount shower heads have slider bars to make them usable. There is no housekeeping, which again, I get. It's a small property. But they literally have no place to dry your towels other than to hang them on handles of the sliding door leading to the bathroom. There is also no counter space to put your toiletries. Are these first world problems, yes they are but to us they made the difference between a meh stay and a good one.
