2 months ago, my husband and I went for happy hour and dinner. I was so upset that night and crying (embarrassing, but I couldn't help it), but the staff, specifically Kayla and Michelle, we're so nice to me. Not just fake nice, their compassion and kindness stuck with me since. Went back in tonight, and I was kind of hoping Kayla wouldn't remember me because I was still embarrassed, but she did, and again she was so kind! The service at this location has been nothing short of spectacular at every visit (3)! I strive to be so kind and graceful. Food was great, as always - steaks and the famous onion. Other patrons at the bar were professing their love and planning their next visits as well - super nice atmosphere after a long day at work and it just made me so happy to hear! Came for Father's Day this year and everything was good except the initial wait. My sister called in to put our party on the wait list. I got there first and checked us in - was told they'll let us know when the tables ready. No problem. My dad got there shortly after and went to check in unknowing that I already checked us in. They told him the table would be ready in 20 minutes. After 30 minutes my sister that put us on the wait list went in to check on the status. Turns out they had the wrong number and so she corrected them and they told her there still wasn't a table ready. Well, coming up on an hour and a half since we arrived, I went back in to check on the status again. The hostess told me they had been trying to text us to her us know the table is ready. I asked her what number they had down and she told me the wrong number - after my sister had already corrected them! We have no idea how long our table was ready for but thank god they didn't give it away. Our server certainly made up for the long wait, but wow - it was frustrating waiting for so long after we were quoted a wrong time then they were trying to text an incorrect number. read more

This location is new but is filled with issues that need to be fixed ASAP or everyone will go 5 minutes further south to the Plano location. I've never seen such a small Outback - there is very limited seating and only a small 2 seat booth waiting area. You need to call ahead for a reservation which is unheard of for a chain restaurant. Because the restaurant is so small, our waiter informed us that there's no drink station for refills. Waiters have to place an order for ice and drinks from the kitchen and a kitchen staff employee brings them to you. That left us without drinks waiting on refills all night. Lastly, the quality of the food was also subpar. All of our steaks were terribly overcooked, the ranch was served in tiny containers rather than the usual large container that comes with the Aussie fries, and it took forever to get any additional condiments. read more

I visited this location a few times service has slightly improved since opening the appetizers are usually a bust I find myself getting tired of them after a couple bites. The entrees have been good tonight I tried a filet Shelia I believe it was called the filets were so small I wouldn't have ordered if I would have known. Fast service. Cons. Tables are the size of a tiny Starbucks table there were 3 adults and 2 kids crammed into a tiny table. Booth size good. But the table size ridiculous. And the worst for last. FOOD POISONING. Like 100% food poisoning from the Shrimp (do not throw anotha shrimp on the Barbie). I thought they had closed down, and did not exist anymore. But the food was terrible. It was as comparable to chilis, but worse. My asparagus tasted like fish. The steak was ok, but enjoy a home cooked one much more than this, and will do that next time I am craving steak. . Kids meals ok. But I've been sick for 3 days (immune compromised) and my dad got violently ill started vomiting from 8pm to 3am....We ate there at 5. Definitely won't be there again. Or even try it again, $200 for food that was not even as good as chick fil a but the servers were so nice and smiling, happy, so it looks like the staff is treated well. Maybe they'll get the food better soon? I dunno: it was so bad, I barely ate any, and didn't want to complain, because I was a server until recently like my whole life. And I hate complainers, and bad reviewers, but food poisoning is BAD. So here I've been since Sunday with tummy issues. The staff is friendly, the service was prompt, the drinks are strong, and we even had the opportunity to meet the owner of that location, Ryan. It's been a while since I've been in a NEW build Outback. Building was clean and brighter than the original floor plans. Food was good but portions seem smaller than their heyday in the 90s & 2000s. Staff was super friendly and food was good. We're Texas Roadhouse fans so it's hard not to compare, so that's exactly what I'll do. It seems Outback has better quality food, especially when it comes to their sides and salads. For example, their side veggies include steamed(?) carrots and zucchini compared to Roadhouse's carrots and broccoli that are so overcooked you can eat them without hardly chewing. Husband likes the rolls and ribs better at Roadhouse so we'll continue to go there, but this was a good experience. Something to mention for the mamas with little ones: their large bathroom stall has a sink and changing station all inside that one stall, making it super convenient. My first time at this location was absolutely amazing. Our waiter was friendly and very helpful and they were all very welcoming. We even got to meet the owner who was amazing. Sad to say our second time at this location was absolute trash. I get it's a holiday ... which why I called three hours ahead to reserve a table for my family. For what ? Just for us to arrive 15 minutes early and for them to tell us we need to wait 30 minutes for a table to become available even though I reserved one? Okay no big deal. We went outside in this hot weather and waited for close to 45 minutes until I finally went back inside, as I never received a text like they said they would send me after my 30 minute wait, I told the lady in front we had already been waiting for over 40 minutes and if our table would be ready soon. She said there's only so much they can do and even though I called and reserved I still needed to wait until somebody left. She said 10 minutes max on our OTHER wait. Went back out again we were all so frustrated from being in the hot outdoors with the kids. We waited another 10-15 minutes until I finally got a text our table was ready just for us to sit in a tight cramped booth with the sun hitting us and it felt so hot inside. Way worse than outside. I would say you take your chance coming here. Just can't believe the reservation part. Why say you take reservations if you're not going to actually save a table for the guest when called hours ahead ? Get it together. Then to top it off first we get two wrong orders. We kept asking for refills took them 20 minutes to finally bring us two drinks. We never got our sides it took them an extremely and shockingly long time to bring out two plates of mashed potatoes. read more

I was so excited that they were opening up a location in Allen. It just opened on Monday December 11th. It's so conveniently located next to all of the shopping. I went in for lunch today and it was amazing. The bartender Amanda made delicious drinks and was so nice and accommodating. I had the bloomin' shrimp appetizer. It was seasoned well and had a crunchy batter, I couldn't stop eating it. For my entree I got a filet, Cesar salad, and baked potato that were all delicious. The steak was cooked perfectly! Ryan House, the manager came by to make sure everything came out nicely and thanked us for coming in. I will definitely be back to this location. 10/10 recommend. read more

This Outback is AMAZING! We went on Sunday 8-4-24 and I must say, from the moment we walked in, every single person that worked there were great. Our Server, Kayla was exceptional. She made sure she got the order right, had it delivered right, it taste amazing (everyone enjoyed their food) and Kayla continued to check in on us to make sure we were good. I asked to speak to the Manager because I wanted to make sure he knew how great Kayla and the rest of his team was. Ryan, the General Manager was happy to hear the feedback and is really proud of his team. Had lunch there with a friend. Outstanding service. The chef, Darius, actually came out twice to see if everything was to our liking. Hostess (Mikey) and waitress (Amanda) were friendly, very helpful, and engaging. We were there for over an hour, just talking and catching up - there was absolutely no pressure on us to finish, and we had a delightfully relaxed time. I had the Fillet Sheila and my friend had a Cobb Salad. Both were perfectly prepared. They have a bleu cheese vinaigrette dressing that also was excellent. We have visited this steakhouse several times since it opened. This was the last time. They don't get the order right the first time, then want to cook it some more. Ordered the steak medium. it was burnt on both sides and rare in the middle. Half the time we visit they screw up the order. Our waitress was also the bartender so we did not get good service. Diamond was our server and was very sweet and not rushing us to order. Her timing was always good and she seems like a very experienced server. It was also fun to run into Chelsea, she was working the room checking to make sure everyone was enjoying themselves. The best part was she recognized my husband - they had worked together before when she was the activities director at Discovery. Since the pandemic all restaurants service and food seem mediocre to me, except Mexican cuisine of course, so I only go out to dinner on special occasions. It was my husbands birthday and we both loved the food. The old fashioned mashed potatoes were wonderful. I ate half of them before I touched my sirloin. It was cooked perfectly and very delicious. My hubs had the lobster and filet and he truly enjoyed every bite! This isn't the Outback of the last century! This is beautifully decorated, low light, low background music. We had a great experience at this location, mostly due to our waiter Connor. We visited on Christmas Eve when all other area restaurants were too busy. We sat at a high top close to the bar which was good for us. Great ambiance and view of the entire scene. Connor was so personable and attentive, He was friendly without being overbearing. We got all food and drinks delivered on a timely manner. The food was good, steaks a bit on the salty side, but overall I would recommend them for an enjoyable experience. read more

If anyone is looking for a place to eat with excellent service I recommend this outback. We were first greeted with the door being held opened for us. While we were waiting to be seated the owner (Ryan) greeted us and asked us if we would like to sit at the bar. My husband and I said yes as we saw no one was sitting there for now. The lighting and setup at the bar created a nice ambiance. The bartenders Ashley and Danika (not sure on the spelling) took great care of us. They consistently checked on us in a timely manner. We also got to have fun conversations with both of them. Even the gentleman that brought our food to us was very polite and started a conversation with us. I had the pleasure of trying the margarita flight and then settled on the watermelon margarita which I highly recommend. Now the food. My husband and I had the bloomin onion which was perfect to start! We both had the sirloin which was cooked to perfection! Having been a cook for 40+ years I don't like leaving bad reviews because I know in the restaurant business any place can have a bad night. But I was just so disappointed in my visit to this outback...so here we go..I was seated at a table that felt like grease was spilled underneath it and my feet just kept sliding, my bread knife was dirty and the bread tasted stale and old just warmed up, my $36 dollar steak came out before my $18 dollar appetizer so asked if they could just box up the app so my steak doesn't get cold and server just dropped box at table like it wasnt her problem and really the steak was not that good so with a coke I ended up paying $60 or 75 with tip and forgetting to box up and take my appetizer that I never touched, I left feeling so ripped off that I didn't think about it till I was almost home but that is my fault...I'm not a big Texas Roadhouse fan but I feel it's a better franchised restaurant read more
