This turned out to be a great surprise. My girlfriend and I wanted brunch on Sunday but every place was packed. We decided to go to nearby Outback and I'm glad we did. The establishment is clean and welcoming with a wonderful and kind staff. Our server, Elise was phenomenal. When she learned that neither of us had been to the chain for years, she walked us through everything. Not only was she patient, but she provided us with excellent recommendations. My girlfriend had a bowl of their baked potato soup, which she loved, as well as the accompanying strawberry lemonade. I had the Toowoomba Salmon, with a house salad and broccoli. The salmon was cooked perfectly. Tender and flaky, the sauce was not overwhelming but enhanced the flavor of the fish. The mushrooms and shrimp added more to taste and texture. We knew the food was fantastic because we didn't speak during our house salads. They were fresh and delicious. Our server, Thomas, was excellent. All the food was good except the 1/2 lb hamburger! I should have said something. I saw that Outback had a promotion for their Tuesday Tails so thought my wife, daughter and I would give it a try. The waitress was super nice and brought us ice water and warm bread right away. She took our drink order and gave us a few minutes to decide on our order. We all got the Lobster tail and Filet Minion with a baked sweet potato. The tail was small which we kind of expected for the price but I was disappointed with the filet. It was overcooked and black on both sides. The Sweet Potato however was delicious. My friend and I happened to be in the area on a Sunday afternoon for an event and decided on Outback Steakhouse. We reminisced about our Bloomin' Onion memories and couldn't pass up the opportunity. THE EXPERIENCE I can confirm from a previous review I saw that we had to wait roughly 25 minutes for a table when there were clearly ones open when we walked in. It probably was an issue over having not enough staff but I won't hold it against them. The ambiance is in line with your typical Outback steakhouse, slightly tacky but nothing wrong. Due to my Bloomin' Onion craving, I doubled down and got a Bloomin' Onion burger. My friend and I split a Bloomin' Onion and immediately noticed how excessively salty it was. Whoever was cooking that day was heavy on the seasoning and unfortunately it was disappointing. Naturally the Bloomin' Onion topping was salty on the entree but the burger itself was spot on medium rare. The highlight of the visit was the waiter. He was very attentive, made sure to check on us during reasonable intervals, and even packed sauces with our takeout containers. Overall, the food just didn't live up to expectations on this visit. We love coming to this location because of the consistently good food and service. However our last visit, one of the main issues was that I wanted to order a classic prime rib. On the menu it says available me all day but our server had said even though it says that, it actually isn't available all day, and available after 3 PM (we were there around noon) She did recommend the ribeye as an alternative and it was fine but tough, which is the opposite of what I wanted since I wanted a prime rib. Other than that the food was great. Sweet potato is always a great side choice and the bread is fresh and warm. I would say skip the premium side of the Brussels sprouts. It was swimming in oil and had a weird mayo topping on it. It was too greasy, especially for a vegetable side dish. The coconut shrimp is a great appetizer that I recommend to everyone, it's seasoned wonderfully. Went to Outback with some co-workers for lunch, our server was very nice and attentive but other than that Outback was just OK. I ordered one of the lunch specials where I got a soup and an entree for $10.49. I upgraded my soup to French onion for an extra $1.00 which was well worth it! The French onion soup was the best part of my meal. I ordered the steakhouse quesadilla as my main course which was terrible. It was very oily, had little to no flavor and tasted like it just came out of a microwave. The steak in the quesadilla was pathetic, with cheap slices of meat. Awful lunch experience at Outback this afternoon, 10/10 would not recommend ordering the steakhouse quesadilla. We went to outback last night after receiving an email for a free blooming onion email from our rewards. We had stopped using our rewards since it has changed to only giving $5.00 off the bill after so many visits instead of the previous plan. We get a better discount with AARP. We were seated at a hi top table which sounded ok but was rather uncomfortable for the entire dinner. Our steaks and onion were great. Service was excellent. I have ordered wings mild, cheeseburgers, grilled chicken sandwich, mushroom appetizer, tortilla soup, side salad, chicken tenders. All have been absolutely fantastic as well as the friendly service over the phone and delivery folks. Delivery has been quick and everything is usually pretty hot when it arrives to my door! I am kind of obsessed with this Outback, and it has turned into a go to lunch spot for me! I have been coming for lunch recently and I it has been good. I get the lunch soup and salad combo. The French onion is really good but you have to say for them to make it well done or it is cold. The wings have been good too. I really love their ranch! While the service (and sides) were good, Our steaks were dry, not flavorful or juicy at all. (Let me preface the below mess by saying that I have never been a fan of Outback. A few bad experiences with different locations being unable to deliver what the menu advertises and I think in general that Texas Roadhouse and Longhorn are far better values.) Ah yes, the new normal. You know in these Covidly times where we sit at home and order food from places via a multitude of online platforms. Great in premise but of course the delivery person could care less if the order is accurate and there are times when the restaurant doesn't care either yet of course, they send the food anyway. Keeping it really simple: The order was two chicken tender platters and two 9oz. center cut sirloins. Both chicken tender orders were supposed to come with honey mustard yet neither did. One of the tender orders was supposed to come with a baked potato that was unsalted and with no butter/sour cream yet it came fully encased in salt with side cups of butter and sour cream. Moving on to the steak orders. Both were ordered medium yet both came fully well done. No pink whatsoever and each had a side that was encrusted black and hard as hell like it was only cooked on one side. I also can't forget the one steak order that was supposed to have a sweet potato with everything only to be sent just the sweet potato wrapped in foil, with nothing. So many places have raised their online/takeout/curbside games over the past few months and for the most part I've had great success ordering online but this was bad, really bad. The steaks were way over cooked and three of the four orders had sides/condiments missing or that were wrong. While I could just brush it off as a bad night, there is way too much competition out there right now from restaurants that are bending over backwards to do things right versus places like this which for this order applied zero quality control. One of my favorite places to eat is Outback Steakhouse, I decided to come to the one in Bethlehem (3200 Emrick blvd) for the first time. I can honestly say that the service here is horrible! Our waiter Bobby seemed to have 0 personality. He was in a rush to take our orders and when I asked a question about one of the drinks, he answered while walking away and took the drink menu with him. He checked on us only once after finishing our food. However, luckily one of the other waitresses Naomi came around to check on us after acknowledging our frustration and ended up taking care of our wants/needs. Ive been in the food and beverage industry for a-lot of years and know how to take care of customer service and the way he handled it...I could never! Welcome to the pandemic (Covid~19), Saturday evening (5/2/2020)!!! I'm not afraid during this time but have been cautious. I haven't ordered from an outside establishment in the past 2 months, but the man wanted steak and I wasn't cooking, so off to Outback we go. We pull to the very far end to figure out what we're ordering, an extremely pleasant young lady came out to make sure we weren't waiting on an order. Once the order was made, she came back outside to ensure she knew the name on the order to look out for it. During our wait time Brian (manager) brought out the check. He thanked us for our business, inquired if we were new or returning customers (we are new), he thanked us again for making Outback our choice, along with other pleasantries that didn't have to be extended. Once the order was ready Brian brought our bag out, placed it in the car for us and sent us on our merry way. We received our food in the wait time quoted and everything was packed to my picky liking. My cold desserts weren't on top of my hot food (I loathe when salad or desserts are sitting on top of something hot) anywho, the bread and sauces were packed individually, I was extremely happy. Now the service vs food, how do they compare? Well, I'll be... We hit the ball out of the park, bone in ribeye prepared medium as requested, with good color on the outside, extra juicy and more than enough, broccoli was fresh, my Queensland pasta was delicious, well seasoned, chicken cooked perfectly (no shrimp), again nice color but not hard or dried out. I requested extra sauce because it's usually needed with to go orders, but I had more than enough in the regular order but you can never have too much sauce in my opinion so I poured more on. My son enjoyed his mac and cheese as well, thank you for no box mac, I despise paying $6-$10 for boxed mac. I would like to thank the entire Outback crew for making my day lighter, but an extra special thank you for being there and doing it with a smile (yes I could tell they were smiling even with masks on). As a hospitality worker you didn't take an oath to put your life on the line, but you're still showing up, so if anybody hasn't told you, I APPRECIATE YOU!!! Side note, EVERY EMPLOYEE, that walked out of that door whether interacting with a customer or going to their car had on mask, that's a big deal to me and gave me another sense of relief. There's not an option for zero stars but the food and the experience deserves it!!! Our steaks were subpar and one steak was not the cut that was ordered. It was sent back only to receive the plate back without a side. The same cut of meat and overcooked. The people behind us had the same issue and we could see they were frustrated as well. I usually do not review chain restaurants but this one deserves a review. My husband and I visited the Outback in Bethlehem Twsp on December 17th and were pleasantly surprised. We were seated very quickly (about a 10min wait for a Saturday night) order taken and drinks and bread served within 5 minutes by a very attentive and friendly waitress. The owner I believe his name was Brian, walked around greeted every table and was working just as hard as his workers. Helping deliver food and making sure all the tables had everything they needed. It was very busy and the place ran like a well oiled machine. Our food was fresh and hot. The blooming onion was crispy, salads were fresh, my chicken was juicy, my husband's salmon was cooked perfect. Went today to celebrate with close family and friends for my parents 75th wedding anniversary. The servers, Jeanne and Howard, were top notch and accommodating from the time the table was set until the time we received the check. The staff even signed an anniversary card to give to them. I could not have asked for a better experience, and everything ran so smoothly. They even put candles on my parent's cake! And the food was excellent! Everyone had a great time. What can you say about a chain restaurant? The place was busy on this Saturday evening as we stopped while on our way to the Pocono's. I had a gift card from Christmas so figured we would use it and try Outback. Didn't go for the blooming onion cause well quite frankly, my arteries could do without getting clogged over an appetizer. Instead we opted for the suggested Gold Coast Coconut Shrimp. They were really good. Not over done or over seasoned. Very enjoyable. I went for a house salad and a crock of their French onion soup for a light dinner. Wow, very surprised at how tasty that soup was! They use provolone cheese which is so-so for me but the broth - YUM! I was amazed considering it's a chain restaurant. The house salad was a salad, everything in there. Really happy with this place.
