During the pandemic, I didn't want to do curbside pickup and was happy that they deliver to our address. So I ordered online and specify the dinner time for delivery of 6pm. I had completed my order around 4:30pm. Food came around 6:30pm. The delivery person apologized for the delivery being late because they were busy. Food was room temperature but still flavorful. We had their Wednesday meal deal of 6oz sirloin with a side and drink. So three orders of the sirloin steaks with add on grilled shrimp. We also got bread. Some people may know how to tell how well the steak is made by touch. Press the web between thumb & forefinger. Top is hard - well, work your way down & the softer it gets meaning we go to med well, med rare, then rare [mooing] at the bottom. This isn't foolproof but for immatures it helps. I am also be willing to bet that my plump little filet was frozen. The hard tough sear and a very very soft side that was a very pale tan color says something wasn't right. Just ewww. I didn't take a single bite of the steak and he knew that when he walked by [10 minutes later!] and asked if everything was okay. I did eat my baked potato but couldn't finish the vegetable medley as the zucchini & squash was too soft & the carrots too hard. Sir finished his steak, lucky guy. Usually the wait isn't too long though. One of their signatures is the bloomin onion. No place has something like this and it's amazing. Seasoned, batter fried onion petals that satisfy that deep-fried craving you're having. It comes with a sauce that compliments it well. I personally like to dip them in ketchup though. SUPERB! The staff and my waitress were wonderful! They don't have reservations but I called ahead about 3 hours n was able to make dinner for a party of 7 on New Year's Eve. When I got there, my reservation was honored and had a table ready for us in minutes. We got our food in timely manner from the bread to the Bloomin Onion to the salad. They were quite delicious. The staff unapologetically messed up pretty much everything. I had just checked into the hotel (which is attached to this Outback) and went strait to the "To Go" pickup area to place an order. I stayed at this exact hotel and went to this exact Outback Steakhouse and ordered this exact meal 11 days ago. Bloomin' Fried Chicken with mashed potatoes and broccoli, and a side Caesar salad. This time I was charged more. I told the soft spoken young man who was taking my order that something didn't sound right and I thought I was overcharged. He went over the bill with me. I noticed I was charged $4.99 for the Caesar salad. Last time I had been charged only $3.99 for the exact same salad. I suggested perhaps he had keyed it in wrong as the reason for discrepancy. (Many places offer a side salad with a meal at a reduced cost, as opposed to purchased on it's own). He informed me that he had been working at this Outback Steakhouse an entire year and it had always been that price. I still wasn't convinced. He offered to get the manager, which I agreed to. Suddenly, a multi-colored/faded pink haired girl who was working with the young man (the type of person who hated her job, hated me, and probably hated life in general) decided to add her two cents worth. "That has ALWAYS been the price, and we have NEVER offered a discounted salad with a meal" in her most demeaning tone, as if to publicly shame this restaurant scammer trying to get a dollar off of his salad. I left the restaurant to drop off my luggage at the room while my food was being prepared. On the way out, I ran into the restaurant manager and mentioned the price discrepancy. She pulled out a menu and lo and behold, the kid had charged me for a PREMIUM side salad, which I had not ordered. Mystery solved. When I returned to pick up my food, the error had thankfully been corrected. I headed out to take the food up to my room and decided I had better check the bag to make sure the order was correct. Nope. They had given me mixed vegetables instead of mashed potatoes. I returned to the "To Go" area and the kid went back to the kitchen to get my mashed potatoes. Then I noticed the "side" of butter with my bread was a laughably small amount.. a literal speck of butter. I'm assuming this was done on purpose because they hated me. I asked the kid for an extra side of butter. The kid was pretty nice through most of this (as was I), but after the third thing they had messed up on, he started to be less nice and was acting more obviously annoyed by me. I'd like to offer a suggestion to Outback Steakhouse. Please give this young man who incorrectly rang up my order a raise. He's been hitting the wrong button to key in a side salad countless times a day, every work shift, for an entire year. EVERY TIME somebody orders a side salad! Finally, just tonight, the manager taught him which button was the correct one to hit to ring up a side salad. Only took a year to figure out. This is specifically directed at the Outback Steakhouse located in Laurel, MD. I stopped coming here a few years ago because their mixed drinks always seemed to be missing a key ingredient: ALCOHOL!! I came back today (Saturday) because my wife wanted to come here - much to my disdain, the cocktail I ordered which was described as having three different types of alcohol in it, came out tasting like ordinary fruit juice. The vodka martini I ordered tasted slightly sweet and definitely weak - Outback Steakhouse needs to start giving people value for their money when they order alcohol based drinks, OR hire better bartenders who know what they're doing. Malea took great care of us. She was definitely the best server we've had while on our Minnesota trip and very possibly the best server I've ever had. She was attentive without being overbearing. One complaint I've had about outback restaurants in the past is that the meals aren't well paced. She paid attention and brought out wine, appetizers, salads, bread, and entrees perfectly. Last night I met up with some family and we went to the Outback. The trip was unexpected, but where we went was predictable. Man wants MEAT! So of course we go to the steakhouse. I haven't been to this one before, so it was a little bit of a new experience. There wasn't a wait when we entered which was nice. This location is attached to a hotel. We were seated immediately, and ordered soon after. I was impressed with how fast the bread, appetizer and meal came out to our table. Our waitress was nice, and was prompt when assisting us. She did forget a few things we asked for, but remembered the 2 times we asked. So no problem there. The reason I decided on 3 stars, would be over all it was a okay experience. There wasn't anything bad about it, but there wasn't anything wonderfully wild about it either. I will be honest and say I'm not much of a ribs and steak person, but they do have a nice variety on their menu for those who are just like me. Our order was 3 full ribs, a grilled chicken Caesar salad, and salmon with mixed veggies. I got the Salad, it was delicious and I like that it had a little kick to it. I was told everything else was yummy as well and very satisfying. No complaints here, so if you are a red meat eater, enjoy the Outback. Where do I begin? This is their version of Medium rare. My steak on my steak salad came out almost the same and I ordered it medium well. The manager who came over was a bit argumentative but eventually took the items off the bill. Oh and my salad was supposed to come with blue cheese but it came with no cheese. Then when my steak was recooked for my salad, it came back well done. We were all pretty frustrated by this point and decided to order dessert but the server just threw the check down and didn't ask. We flagged her down and ordered a Chocolate Thunder from Down Under to share and sadly, they didn't offer to comp that. Awesome service and food. Don't let the Outback's chain scare you away from this location. First it is a larger property than most Outbacks and it is roomy inside for large parties. I visit a lot of Outbacks in my business travels and patronize them because I like the rewards program they offer. I found this location to have extra friendly, knowledgeable servers and management. My server tonight was William (Will) and he was very much experienced with the Outback options that are not on the menu. There are two options I always request and he knew exactly what I was talking about. This is the first time for me to visit at this location. The Manager on duty, Sara, came around to make sure that everything was at or better than my expectations. I appreciate customer service driven managers like Sara that follow up with the customer.
