Last time we were in for a big family dinner, it was a disaster. The steak was rubbery and took multiple attempts to get it to the proper temperature. While I waited for the steak everyone else nibbled on salads and bread because their food was awful. The pasta on the others 3 dishes were raw/uncooked and cold. The grilled shrimp was cold. The food was just gross to be completely honest. The only thing that was good was the salad and sweet potatoes. The manager was very loud for everyone to hear and only took 50% off the ticket for food that wasn't touched. She also mentioned they started cooking pasta a new way and they're "getting the hang of it". So we basically paid for food we didn't eat. One plate was eaten out of 4. So awful to pay $90 + my $25 birthday gift card, for food that wasn't eaten at all. We will NOT be returning here again. Sorry, but I'm being brutally honest based on this recent experience. While traveling I enjoy visiting the Outback Steakhouses. Unfortunately, the one in Flagstaff has to be one of the worst. As a single diner I was seated at a table near the bar and given a menu. I waited over 15 minutes, as staff passed and ignored me. After flagging down staff twice I was then visited by a server and placed my order of a 6 oz sirloin medium, broccoli and mashed potatoes with a Fosters. 20 minutes later my meal came and the steak was burnt on the outside and raw on the inside. After working to try and cut and eat the steak, after 2 slices I gave up. Worst piece of steak I have had in 60 years. Restaurants usually have quality steaks but this Outback in Flagstaff has an obviously lower quality. The broccoli was soft and mushy while the mashed potatoes were watered down. I did see a piece of potato in the mush. The 16 oz Fosters was cold and good. Perhaps the kitchen staff would benefit with training or an upgrade. Avoid this steakhouse. There is a Roadhouse nearby that I will try next time in town. read more

We have always been a fan of Outback. When we saw this restaurant on E. Lucky we stopped in for lunch. We are now bigger fans. The ribs were so tender and seasoned perfectly. Our server, Noah G. was engaging, delightful and professional. He went out of his way to see if the Kitchen could/would make a special salad dressing for us without us even asking. First off I would say that it is pretty expensive, but what do you expect it is a steakhouse. The food quality is pretty good I would say especially the prime ribs. We liked the experience. The service was good as we arrived pretty late and they allowed us to take our time to enjoy the meal even after their closing time. The bread that came at first was so good it was soft with crispy outside, perfect with butter. The waitress gave us one more without question. We ordered the prime rib, lamb, pasta, onion soup, and house salad, I like that they have a part on the menu showing the temperature guide, which was convenient. The best dish was the prime rib. The portion was big and it was really tender and juicy. The lamb was marinated just right and it was easy to tear, just a bit too little. The sides like fries and mashed potato they give you a generous portion. The onion soup was not what we expected though, very oily. That was the only bad thing we couldn't finish it as it tasted weird to us. 4 of us couldn't finish everything and we packed some back too. Recommend this place and we were satisfied. read more

We gave this place 5 stars initially. We have been back twice since then and both times it left a lot to be desired. My Caesar salad had black slime on the lettuce, my medium well steak was burnt to a crisp. I ordered medium well because last time I was there I ordered medium and it was rare. They told me I ordered wrong so I ordered as they instructed. Probdd as blue wont Just wow! We got a gift card for Christmas and decided to try the Flagstaff location. It's Outback. As an adult now I reminisce on what a gorgeous steak I had from my hometown as a child. Bold, juicy, jam-packed steak cooked to the center with love and Australian authenticity. Last night I ordered a *Filet Mignon steak. The only way I could describe my steak is with the word melancholy. I should've started crying to add some moisture to this dry piece of charred meat. If my review was based solely on the quality of the food I was served I would rate this location at 2 stars. However I was met with impeccable customer service as my voice was heard and they were able to mitigate with me and I left as a happy camper. I will come back sometime for the fried chicken plate *Bottom line is, you get what you pay for. Nice ass steaks are gonna bust your wallet starting around $80. Flats, maybe at the most half an inch thick. It was the most disappointing meal we had so far. I don't know who Outback is buying their beef from, but its definitely from a much cheaper supplier. My parents and I ate here at around 7:30PM last week which I believe was on a Wednesday. Our server was very kind to us and the service was amazing. However.... The food was maybe the worst food any of us have ever been served and we were coming to Outback because we remembered in past years the food from there has been good. We were wrong. I am not sure if it is just this location but we first ordered Mac and cheese bites, these were flavorless and tasted like they were frozen before or something. Absolutely no seasoning and we struggled to eat it. Then the food came out and I got a seafood platter, everything tasted like it has 3 cups of salt and charred grill on it. In a bad way. My parents described their beef sandwiches as awful and trying to choke it down. They said these were also so salty and it was so bad we would have felt bad asking for more food because we knew it would be bad too. I was truly baffled by this experience and I hope nobody else has to go through it. Overall 1/10 on the food and 10/10 on service and ambiance, but you go to a restaurant to eat. read more

I ordered the the Aussie Cobb salad which is advertised as being made with fresh mixed greens. The salad was very disappointing. Pretty mediocre meal. We've gotten pretty used to the wait staff in most restaurants to have the social awareness to wear a mask. Not Outback. They were out of not one, not two, but THREE of the draft beers on their menu. My wife tried the "Bloomin Chicken". She was not very impressed. The breading was way too much. Love me some Outback! I find myself more often than not getting To Go orders because it can be difficult to sit in any restaurant with 3 kiddos. Ordering To Go is very quick. It takes about 15 min from order time to pick up. The best part about pick up is that it is almost always right! I always get a burger and fries with a side salad and my wife will usually opt for some steak option. We have never been disappointed and the dishes seem to be super consistent. Always cooked to perfection and always very tasty. If I ever find myself having to wait I will head to the bar and get a Fosters. I love this beer and the bartenders are very friendly. A quick note on their side salad. I absolutely love the side salad and the ranch dressing is the best in the world. I put it on my burger, fires and everything else. I haven't been to outback in a long long time. I was really looking forward to dinner here on new years with our friends we met up with in flagstaff. For reference, we have 3 young children with us this night. I get it's new years and it's busy. We called ahead and we were sat right when we were told we would be. Server was on top of it. Came over right away, greeted us and got our drinks going. It took us some time to figure out what we wanted to eat. Talking amongst ourselves and catching up we didn't look at the menus right away which resulted in us telling our server we needed more time a few times. The last time she came over one of our friends kids had an accident and needed to go to the car so we told our server we'd be ready in about 10. She was very irritated by then and said "so do I just come back when I see her?" So we said yes. We ordered- also ordered some apps. Asked for a few sides of ranch and our waitress brought over two small ranches. We asked for more and got "I brought two" we reply with you brought two for the 5 people asking for ranch. We didn't want to share and have our own. Her eyes rolled and went and got ranch. Whatever, no big deal. We got the feeling from this waitress that she didn't want to be here. It's new years, I wouldn't want to be working either. We were enjoying ourselves then one of our friends is looking uncomfortable and is complaining of the table being super wobbly. Drinks are trying not to spill wobbly. She looks under the table and the table is being balanced with a stack of like 50 paper coaster which keep falling over anytime one of the kids bump the table and the table tries to fall sideways but they are holding onto it. We asked a server for help and they didn't do anything about it so we asked the hostess if they could do something or move us. Her fix was to bring over more coaster and tell us there's no other tables available right now. So It fixed it temporarily until the coasters fell over again. I asked for a manager. Manger comes over and we explain again. She says "I can get some coasters." I continued, look we already "fixed" the problem with coasters & it's clearly not doing anything. She continues to say, I'm sorry, I can't move you. (Open table for 7 right behind us) we have no open table. I literally said, what about that one and she said that one is being used shortly here for a bigger party. This table just broke today and this was our temporary fix and apologizes again. The only way i can move you is to have you wait and put your name back on the list. I was livid, I said very shockingly, astonished that she just suggested that. "We have been here for 40 minutes, we have drinks and are eating appetizers, just ordered our food, have three children waiting for their meals and I just want to make sure I'm understanding what you just said? You want to take us from our table and put us on the wait list again to do this all over again?" She said "yes, this table just broke today and this was our temporary fix." I said nope, that's not an option, that's absolutely absurd. You should of pulled the table as soon as it broke and not sat a party of 7 here. Our friend continues to say "take a photo of this fix, I'm calling corporate, this is not ok." She had walked away after apologizing again. Shortly comes back and says "we have a table for you on the other side of the restaurant, we will move all your plates and drinks over. Please follow me" I appreciate being moved to a new table but I don't appreciate the fight it took. It took basically saying corporate would be called for something to happen. Some manager. The other side of the restaurant was awesome. Families and kids were on that side, if our kids were loud people weren't looking at us with rude looks etc. the waitress was amazing and just so nice and kind. She was constantly checking in on us and refilling drinks. The food unfortunately wasn't very good and we won't be going back to outback. We wish we would of went to Texas Roadhouse like we originally planned but I was really looking forward to a salad, out back bread and blooming onion from back in the day. I remember it being delicious. Three people from our party for a steak and seafood meal. The steaks were all over cooked, the shrimp came out a little more cooked then expecting garnished on some black burned bread. Asked for new bread and that was also burned. The kids meals were cold and the chicken tenders were hard and stale. It really was just a disappointing meal and we just tried to keep enjoying ourselves and our company but one thing after another was just becoming an annoyance at that point. Spent well over $100 per party and we were not satisfied leaving and felt we threw money in the trash. Don't waste your time or your money at this location. read more

I am not a fan of chain restaurants and honestly, I do not think I've been to an Outback since 1998, but my brother had a coupon, so we gave it a shot. It was busy, but we were seated quickly. Our server was a bit unsure about drink prices, so the experience started off a bit shaky. After getting through drinks, everything else went well. I was surprised how good my meal was. They serve you a great loaf of bread which keeps getting refilled and the blue cheese pecan salad was amazing. I ordered my Outback Special steak wood fired and medium rare. It was cooked perfectly, spiced perfectly, delicious!! The manager makes his rounds to ensure everything is adequate with your meal/service and everyone was just downright friendly. I was pleasantly surprised! I am not sure why I have not been back since 1998, but I'll definitely be back to this location. read more

Got there at 5:20pm on a Saturday with our 2 kids, one being 11 months old. Put our name on the list and was told "30 minutes but it should be sooner" and that they would text us when ready. Fast forward 35 minutes and no word. I go in to check and am told it would be at least another 30 minutes but the bar might be a good option. I reminded the hostess we have an 11 month old and she said, "Yeah, I know." Yeah, walked out never to return. Yes, you're at half capacity. I get it. However there is no excuse for not having the slightest clue how long people will have to wait. Oh, I wasn't the only one complaining, either.
