I love this Outback location. I frequently order lunch or dinner for curbside pickup on the app when I am working in Ft. Wayne. The employees here are very friendly and helpful, and my order is always 100% correct. It has always been ready on time. I especially love the salmon. Outback definitely knows how to cook salmon, it is always seasoned and cooked just right. The carry out orders are well packaged. This location is a little tricky to find. It is highly visible from the interstate, but you have to drive around behind some businesses and through an apartment complex to get to Outback. The first time I came here I was a little lost because my GPS wasn't able to find it. But I quickly figured it out and I have been a regular ever since.

This is my last visit here ... so, let me be brutally honest. This place is awful .... The food - the service - the setting Awful I stopped in for lunch a couple of weeks ago - the heat wasn't working properly but I still stayed. It made my lunch miserable. I ate quickly and left. I stopped in again today, I had the Queensland chicken and shrimp. The picture shows a highly seasoned entree topped with a bed of chicken and shrimp. What arrived to the table was like warm mush noodles topped with warmed chicken and shrimp. I ate the shrimp only. 20.99 down the tube. But as my parents always told me "a bought lesson lingers more than a taught one" I had to pay for this , so it won't be quickly forgotten. My server noticed I wasn't eating and simply asked if I was done, I politely said "yes" - my thought was - I'm not only done - I'm finished!! Second horrible lunch and last visit -- it's never a loss - always a lesson I left 2 stars because the young host is always so kind.

Food is pretty average for chain steak place. Seasoning is decent on the steaks. Not a huge fan of the mushroom and onion steak topper, would skip the add on. Baked potato good. Good ranch for the salad and the French onion soup is pretty good. Blooming onion was tasty. Typical chain restaurant atmosphere. Service was good and price was average.

My family and I have eaten now twice at this Outback Steakhouse and can tell you both the food and service is great! The first time we came here, it was the night before our trip to Miami. We all had some chicken wings to start, which were spicy and flavorful. We then each ordered our main course. I had some delicious pork chops, my mom had some chicken tenders, while my brother had a shrimp and lobster pasta. We enjoyed our meal so much, we returned yesterday to this restaurant. Again we started with those yummy wings. My brother ordered the Bloomin Chicken and my mother once again had some chicken tenders. They both found the meals to be absolutely delish. I ordered a slow roasted prime rib which is only available on weekends. It was tender, literally melted in your mouth. This restaurant is great and we are planning to make it one of our go to spots, when we go to Fort Wayne.

The apps were good. Blooming Onion, Mac n Cheese bites. They were hot and crispy as they should be. The rest of our meals ? Haha. My sirloin steak was embarrassingly bad !! Tough as hell. Very dry. Sooo chewy I spit it out. My fries were barely cooked. Cold and limp. My Cesar Salad drowned in dressing. I ate a bite then ate the croutons. My Coconut Shrimp were awesome. So I just ate them. No seasoning on anything on that sad plate. My Husband had Chicken n Steak Alfredo. Chicken was moist but NO SEASONING ! The pasta had very little sauce kinda dry he said. The steak on his plate was chewy too. He ate 2 pieces, and pushed the other cut up (by the kitchen)pieces off the plate onto empty app plates. The waitress finally came by asked us if we need to go containers. Uuuh no. She got the Manager. He is a very nice guy. Took my dinner off the bill. He could see I only ate a small sawed through piece of steak. I did eat those yummy 4 pieces of Coconut Shrimp. Thank you Manager for being a great understanding Man. Would we go back ? NOT for any STEAK that's for sure. No fries either. Can't anyone make crispy HOT FRIES ????? Would probably get a Coconut Shrimp dinner. Unless of course they are served cold, burnt or undercooked. Service was just okay. They were a bit busy, but not crowded. Had many tables open and the dingy hostess sat us waaaaaay in the back of the place. Guess why !? Maybe get carry out shrimp. Maybe cold anyway when served. You all enjoy.

The lunch bento box is straight up hits: a California roll, shrimp tempura, vegetable tempura, rice and your choice of teriyaki'd protein (chicken, salmon, beef, shrimp or basa, a type of catfish). I chose salmon, which was cooked perfectly. The salmon was placed on top of the rice, so the rice kind of soaked up the teriyaki sauce and made it nice and delicious. My bento lunch came with a cup of miso soup, and it was so nourishing and briny, like only miso soup can be. So yeah. I didn't taste any of the sushi here at Umi, unless you count a California roll, which I don't. But they have lots of different types of rolls, nigiri and hand rolls. Umi also has a large menu of sake. So large, that I thought I would be remiss to not get sake to go with my lunch. The menu made me do it! So I got the chiku bai Nigori sake, and it was so smooth. Sake is served in a small pitcher with a small ceramic cup. I wasn't sure if the sake pitcher was supposed to be shared, but there was only one cup, and there was only one me, so I went for it. A sake buzz during lunch ... how extravagant. I visited for a late lunch, around 1:30 p.m., and I was the only person in the whole place. I got the full attention of the very nice server, who had 20 pens in her apron ("For when it gets busy and it's only me," she said, because I asked her why she has 20 pens in her apron.) The restaurant is tastefully decorated on the inside.

I was told they have 1 team that all works Wed-Sun (closed Mon and Tues). The bartender was really nice and honest about advice on the menu. I had questions about the sashimi salad and appreciated his opinion on it. When I asked how the crab rangoons were, I could tell he genuinely thought they were a good item to order - and they did not disappoint! The picture only shows 4 rangoons because I already ate 3, so the fact it comes with 7 is a great deal. I also ordered the chirashi since I love sashimi, and I was told I was given a few extra pieces. 2 salmon, 2 tuna, 3 yellowtail, 2 scallop, 2 unagi, 2 octopus (or squid?), 2 imitation crab, some salmon roe, and 2 lobster tail chunks; seasoned sushi rice on the bottom. This was a very filling meal. It's a dimly lit restaurant with a calm ambiance. I saved this place to come back to when I'm in the area again for work.

Most people will find RC as outrageously expensive and maybe frivolous. I write this review NOT trying to convince you that dinning at RC is worth the money. But more over to affirm that they meet (and maybe exceed) the expectations that they desire to achieve. With that...here is my lengthy review. Ruth's Chris can be found downtown Fort Wayne on Wayne street. You might find a steer parking spot. There is a parking garage conveniently next to RC. RC doesn't validate parking. I would encourage you to make a reservation in advance on the Open Table app. Make your experience special by planning in advance. Our reservation gave RC a heads up that we were celebrating an anniversary. The restaurant is very elegant and well decorated. There is a very inviting bar as you enter the restaurant with nice street views. They have some simple outside seating that frankly doesn't look appealing. The interiors are very plush, welcoming and comfortable. The white linens, glassware and tableware set the mood perfectly. Our table was specially decorated with rose petals to celebrate our special anniversary night out. Overall, this intentionally designed and executed environment that made us feel special - as you would expect. The whole team here is all about making you feel special. The host team was very friendly. From the moment they meet us...they knew it was our anniversary and wished us well. In fact...every person that we came in contact with knew it was our anniversary and congratulated us. Our waitress was charming, professional and made us feel at home. She knew her menus well. She had fantastic recommendations. She even helped us enroll into the "club" to get a free appetizer. During the evening the beverage manager and dining room manager stopped by to check on us. The gentleman that boxed up our leftovers was very kind and polite. The service was outstanding and made us feel extraordinarily special - as you would expect. The whole dining experience was predicable amazing. The drinks and food were over the top delicious - as expected. All components of the meal were nicely paced to allow us to relax and enjoy this special evening. Here is a review of the items we ordered: -Cocktail drinks: very fresh and tasty. Always deigned to be attractive and enjoyed. RC has their drink menu on a tablet so you can see an appealing picture and the ingredient list. -Shrimp Cocktail: four very large shrimp, fresh tasting and nicely chilled. The cocktail sauce mimicked the famous St. Elmo's brand taste with a bold horseradish taste. Excellent! -Crab stuffed mushrooms: crab flavors stepped out though they weren't bold. The filling was very soft without many predominant flavors. The mushrooms were cooked to a firm consistency and a delicious mushroom taste. -Table bread: very soft and fresh, nice sour dough taste. Butter was creamy and worked perfectly with the bread. -Fire roasted corn: this corn dish has corn pieces cooked with red & green peppers. You could pick up hints of the Smokey accents amongst the appealing seasonings. The dish tended to be more soupy than I would have expected. This is a lighter side dish with a very nice flavor. -Sweet potato casserole: this maybe the best dish on the menu. The sweet potatoes didn't have much of a very vegetable taste. The dish was very sweet and covered in very small pecan pieces and brown sugar. It really tasted more like a pecan pie than a sweet potato casserole. The waitress said that she has "regulars" order this side with a scoop of ice cream as a dessert. Amazing dish! -Fillet mignon: excellent meat taste. Perfectly season and cooked to my wife's medium rare choice. -NY strip steak: same as above! The steak had small amounts of marbling to add flavor. The bourbon redux was a chef creation that added moisture while drawing out the meat flavors further. The thin onion straws added a bit more flavor and texture. Outstanding steak! Thank you for allowing me to share our special evening with you. My goal was to help you know how Ruth's Chris executes. I believe that they exceeded all of my and my wife's expectations (as detailed above). I have to believe that the team at Ruth's Chris would say that they achieved their goals as well.

A generous portion with a lot of visible crab. Asparagus and the lobster Mac & cheese were the side dishes. Yum!

I heard it a side salad with salmon and it came out to me pretty quickly. The flavor was delicious, the salmon, well cooked, and the apple vinaigrette dressing on the salad was delightful. The biggest challenge, was a table with a few children sitting at it. This is no fault of the restaurant, and really, not even the result of my four-star rating. This is merely a statement: if your children are misbehaving and screaming and banging things on the table while other people are trying to eat their dinner, then perhaps the best option is to remove the children from the restaurant. It's always surprising to me when parents are selfish and subject everyone else in the vicinity around them to the poor behavior of their children. As a parent myself, I would never do that to other people. When you go out to a nice restaurant, you want to relax and enjoy the time not listen to tantrums from a three year old. Even the bartender in the servers were frustrated with this table. Some people even walked out after sitting down when they realize that unbelievable noise is coming from one table.
