I didn't really have high expectations for this place, but was pleasantly surprised with the food here. I ordered the 6oz sirloin, medium rare, and it was perfect. The sear on it was amazing and had a crispy like texture and there was hardly any fat on it. The house salad was a bigger portion than what I expected, the baked potato was salted nicely and they gave me plenty of toppings for it, plus they gave me a piece of appetizer bread. Where do I start....if Outback wants to know what's happening with sales I'd encourage a deep dive on this review. I 1st called and enquired if they were serving Primerib. The answer was yes. Perfect! When we arrived was immediately seated but taken to the middle of the restaurant and I asked if we could sit by a window. 2:00 in afternoon 4 tables had people dining. We were greeted with menus fairly quickly. Ordered an unsweetened tea, with sweet n low. 2nd tea, with sweat tea, 1/4 and unsweetened tea. Both with lemon and we asked for a blooming onion with a side of RANCH. It arrived hot. The tea's were wrong, no lemons and had to ask again for sweet n low and for ranch dressing for the onion. Salads came quickly, wrong dressing. No Biggie. As we were reading the Menus we noticed that the prime rib was only available for dinner....we enquired and our waitress would check to see if it was ready yet. Drinks and dressing resolved and a side of ranch was brought out by another server for the blooming onion. Great. We were asked if we were ready to order...and Of course I started with a 16 0z Prime Rib...and our waitress was yikes "I was supposed to ask the chef" be right back. Great prime rib was ready. Perfect. I ordered a 16oz Prime Rib, Medium, extra butter and sour cream for the baked potato. My Sis ordered a 12 oz, Med well. The steaks arrived completely reversed. I had to ask the lady (host) who seated us and indicated that sometimes the thinness of the steaks....interjected that they messed up and switched the order...I think. A tit for tat started... she grabbed a "manager". A lady came over and looked At our plates and said....are those prime ribs??? And I was like my thoughts exactly. Explained the situation gave my sis the "steak that was supposed to be medium well and sent mine back...at this point I was completely turned off by the steaks, their appearance, quality and overall poor customer service. Horrible service. My husband was repeatedly told to wait for our order, even after checking in multiple times. On the third time he went back in, all employees were eating and drinking (including alcohol) while continuing to tell him to wait. This is unacceptable. Worst meal we have ever had at Outback. My husband and I both ordered The Rockhampton Ribeye 13oz for $30. Horrible! Our favorite kind of steak is a ribeye so we are well aware that it is a fatty steak. I wish I would have thought to take a photo. First of all it was over cooked. It had tons of fat and connective tissue on and in the steak. It ate like a sirloin, kinda tough and chewy. Not soft at all. Very bland seasoning too. My salad was good and my husbands baked potato was good but that was about it. I also got what I was told was a skewer of grilled vegetables for a side. Seriously? It was grilled, but it was only 3 slices of zucchini with two small bits of red peppers. The seasoning was really strong and spicy. Not very good, but I ate it anyway. Both my husband and myself left 1/2 of our steak. And that never happens. Our server was Alia and she was the best part of the meal. Very sweet and offered to make a "do over" on the steak. We declined, thinking we would just get the same. Manager came over and talked to us and never offered us anything except a "do over". And maybe a dessert. Nothing would have made our food and experience any better. He never offered to give us anything back in our meal. Like I said, the steak was horrible and we left about 1/2 each. Totally not like us. This review is for the Outback off HWY 820. Tried the spicy mango margarita and oh man, I cannot recommend as it was so spicy and you can barely taste any mango flavor. They have a nice special during the week for lunch for soup and salad, which is what I got. I got the Tasmanian chili, which was good, but I think I would prefer in the future to stick with the potato soup. Also tried the garden salad, which was good. The pretty attentive and and helpful. I haven't been to Outback in years. So we decided rn give it a try since the crowds have subsided after it opened last year. We went to an early dinner and used their call ahead seating on the app. Walked in and sat right down. Our waiter was right on time and awesome! My wife tried the margarita flight and I ordered a mango margarita. Unfortunately that's where the awesomeness ended. Except the bread. Now I'll say the bloomin onion was spot on! Just as I remembered it. I ordered the 18oz bone in ribeye and my wife ordered the 6oz filet. As soon as I cut into I knew this wasn't going to be a good night. My medium was over cooked and no pink. My wife's filet, which she ordered medium rare, had just a hint of pink. Now my ribeye tasted good but just disappointed that it was over cooked. Her filet on the other hand had 0 flavor. We all know it's never good to send food back to fix, so we just just dealt with it. No need to be upset with the server but we won't come back. There other chain steakhouses that a slightly cheaper. This Outback was a little smaller than the one I grew up going to; but it's so nice. We were seated quickly and were able to place our drink orders and apps right away. My husband and I ordered the three course special they are currently offering which comes with a soup or salad, entree, and cheesecake. Our first course wasn't great for either of us. My salad was mostly wilted and brown and my husband found a hair in his. When we mentioned it to the server he didn't even really say anything other than "okay". For my entree, I asked for a medium steak. It wasn't cooked to the right temperature, but it wasn't well done, so I still ate it. Our server took a pretty long time to come back and check on us and when we asked for the cheesecake, he had forgot we were doing the three course meal and that we had ordered lemonades. I don't know: he seemed a little absent minded or maybe he was busy with other tables, but the service wasn't the greatest. Food was meh. For just opening, this place is doing considerably well! All of the waitstaff, hostesses, and managers were beyond welcoming. It's obvious they took the time to train their staff well. The place is kind of cramped and not exactly spacious. But there's a lot of natural light and the ambiance is definitely happy and laid back. Country music plays in the background. They also have 2 TVs in the bar area. I ordered the Alice Springs Chicken with mashed potatoes and French onion soup. I LOVED the French onion soup and would return for that alone. The kitchen accidentally sent out a half order of my chicken, but quickly self corrected themselves and delivered a full portion with genuine apologies. Was seated in the bar area in a booth; the bartender had multiple tables to attend and people seated at the bar. Sadly, we were ignored and never got refills on tea, bread, or any side condiments with our meal, like butter, steak sauce, etc. when asked for it while placing our order. Our food was very fresh, but the runner who delivered our food sat it down and left quickly without giving us time to ask for anything else needed with our meal. Totally underwhelmed with our visit to this location today. My wife's Victoria's filet and my prime rib were both were way over cooked. Normally we love Outback and are regular diners at the chain, but the kitchen and the grill today were having major issues. In the past, the server or the kitchen expeditor would ask the patron to cut into their entree to see if it was cooked as ordered. This wasn't done today. I should have called the manager over to our table, but I didn't. I should have had the kitchen correct the mistake. Other than our entrees not being properly cooked, everything else was nice. I feel when you order rare prime rib and the slice is less than a 1/2" thick, the kitchen should have notified the wait staff, rare isn't going to work with a 12-ounce slice so thin. By the time my prime rib got to the table it was already on the medium-to-medium well side. It was also surprising the prime rib was very tough compared to what I've had in the past. Giving a restaurant a 2-star review is highly unusual for me. As a former food service manager for several decades I view a visit differently than a normal patron. The restaurant the if our visit had a bad day. Yes I should have talked to the manager. Due to the current state of unfilled food service positions, I watched the manager hurrying from one point in the establishment to another. Even when we arrived, she mentioned how short handed she was. One possible reason my prime rib and my wife's steak was over cooked is that it possibly stayed under the heat lamp in the kitchen a bit too long before being brought to our table. There was also a failing in the kitchen. When they saw an order of "rare" prime rib, and knew the slice was going to be around a 1/2", they should have informed the server rare was not possible, please tell the guest. read more

My hubby and I went on an impromptu Outback Date last night because this location just opened in the last month. It did not disappoint! We were warmly greeted upon entering by the hostess and didn't have to wait for a seat, even though we called ahead (It was 7pm on a Wednesday). Our server, Darien, took such great care of us and ensured that we had the very best experience. We started with a Bloomin' Onion -- which never disappoints. And we had the chopped blue cheese salad before our entrees were served. This was my first time enjoying this salad, though I wish y'all would bring back the Blue Cheese Wedge!! Hubby ordered the Medium Rare Prime Rib and Aussie Fries and I had the 6 ounce Filet with Brussel Sprouts (which were the star of the show -- seriously, ORDER THESE NOW)! My filet was cooked perfectly and I didn't leave any leftovers. Hubby was obsessed with the Prime Rib, though he was said that the Aussie Fries had changed. For the last 7 years or so, we've gone to an Outback Steakhouse for an early dinner on NYE. Not sure why we landed on Outback to begin with, but I think we'll be starting a new tradition next year. This was the first time we tried the Alliance location. The short wait was expected since it was NYE, but they insisted on keep the interior door open, and everyone in the small waiting area got a blast of frigid air as the exterior doors were opened. After 15 minutes or so, we were seated at a table that had been empty the whole time. The waitress greeted us quickly and took our drink orders and brought us the great bread. The waitress was the best part of the meal. She was attentive and friendly. Our drinks were refilled quickly and she checked in on us from time to time...she was not the problem. We ordered a kids steak, two 8oz sirloins, and a the ribeye. The kids steak was cooked fine. The ribeye was a little overdone, but manageable. The two sirloins were awful. Both were ordered medium well. One was kind of close and was eaten without an issue. The other was somewhere in between rare and medium rare. We did send this one back. A few minutes later, the charred remains of the steak was returned to us. It was as if the cook was pissed that the steak was returned and made damn sure this thing was gonna be cooked more. The outside was crispy....literally crunchy and burnt. The inside was a dark gray. Maybe we should have said something a second time, but we didn't. The whole time I was there, I kept comparing everything to Texas Roadhouse. The free bread was super mid too, nothing compared to the rolls at TR. Its been a long time that we haven't visited Outback Steakhouse. Feb 24, we decided to pay this location a visit for my wifes 66 birthday. Simply amazing ! Is all I can say. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit today! We hadn't eaten at Outback in a few years so we were excited to come in. We were pleasantly surprised to see that they had a 4 course Valentine's Day celebration special. This made our day! We both had the filet mignon steaks and they were cooked to perfection. A grilled shrimp appetizer, bread, 2 sides and a large slice of delicious cheesecake was included. My $7 margarita was way better than the $16-$22 ones I've had at other bars/restaurants. Our server was incredibly pleasant I don't remember her name but we ate around 12:30-1:30pm and she had short blonde hair. The ambiance was great! We went early in the day to avoid V-Day crowds and it was perfect. We cannot wait to go back for another lunch date! And for those of you who love to complain when you see "plenty of tables" it doesn't mean there's a server available. There's a reason for the wait times and why you are seated in a certain area. Our sever was very sweet and attentive to everything we asked for. That was the only good part. The cheese fries had almost no cheese then when we brought it up they emptied the bag of cheese on it and microwaved it. From appetizers to salads and soups it was almost an hour, then proceeded with another 35 minute wait for our dinner, my sons steak looked like it was boiled with no sear, had to send it back to get a decent steak for him. This is where it gets good, the manager on a knee scooter comes out and literally makes it feel like it's our fault for asking for another steak to be "re fired". I mean throwing kitchen lingo at me is one thing but to make my 14 kid feel bad for asking for food that should have been made properly is absurd. It was late, the place had 3 other tables and servers everywhere. Not to mention the noise from the kitchen, yelling from servers to the manager and the kitchen staff yelling at everyone. Also someone opened the alarmed back door and it rang for 10-15 minutes before it shut off. We have been to the location 3 times and it has been terrible every time. They told us you can pick whatever table just not that one and we were like umm ok whats the reason they told us ohh the past server didn't close the tab on it , " well thats on you to figure out we just came here to eat" so they sat us next to the bathroom . They sent a server super nice we asked him hey why cant we sit on the table we picked to be comfortable we are right next to the bathroom , he said there shouldn't be a problem with you guys sitting over there, so we move to the table we originally picked the reason was that the server on that side did not want another table , they are soo lazy a couple ended up leaving because they were there for a while and no one served them , honestly alot of families left, we stayed because we wanted to eat already and other restaurants had hours of a wait... food came out fine Burgers tasted wayyy off. And let me tell you please do no get steak here , after my dad had an 11 ounce steak today Monday jan 28,2025 he feels so sick vomiting pain in the stomach fever , turns out he got food poisoning from the food there , my mom as-well feels sick. My husband and we're really excited to go here. We left a little disappointed. Our bloomin onion was good, but the outside probably should've been peeled before cooked. I ordered the sirloin and shrimp combo thinking my toddler would eat the shrimp. It was inedible! So dry and tasteless! The steak was good but cooked more medium than the medium-well I ordered. Looking back, I wish I could would've got the steak and chicken combo. My daughter got the kids Mac and cheese with a side of fries. She loved the fries but said she couldn't taste the pasta and wanted salt. I thought she was being dramatic but my husband tried it and said it was quite bland. My husband ordered the 18 oz bone in rib-eye medium rare. His was also cooked more like medium and wasn't the right steak- like there was no bone. Outback is a place which seldom disappoints. It is on our bucket list whenever we are in the States. This one off North Freeway in Ft. Worth outdid themselves. Had the 8oz filet cooked perfectly medium. Wife had the prime rib. We noticed there was considerably more fat along the edge than usual, maybe 3-4 oz on a 12 oz cut. We informed our waiter, who immediately notified the manager and he brought out another cut with the fat trimmed and left the original cut. We are not Karens, and rarely complain. Honestly I was just making a note that this rib was fattier than usual, and he fixed it without question. I feel sorry for service staff that have to deal with demanding or unreasonable Karens, so we strive to be the opposite of that, both of us having worked in service jobs before. Honestly this could not have been handled better and went above and beyond to make sure the customers were happy. Kudos to our waiter and the evening manager for a job well done.
