I've ordered here plenty of times and even went in but this last time I'm done. I ordered me and my husbands food online and it was easy right? There's a pay at the restaurant option which is convenient. My husband arrived to get the food he pays a young lady and proceeds to leave. He stated as soon as he walked out the door some girl came running behind him screaming "Wait you didn't pay for it, let me see your receipt". He said he showed the girl the receipt but it rubbed him the wrong way. Why the heck are you chasing him down? Is it because we are people of color? And you thought we couldn't afford the food? I'm just curious when he got home I immediately called the store and spoke to the "Manager" who tried to act as if it was just an honest mistake. I simply told him how would you feel being profiled and someone running after you as if you stole food. He goes "It's the season had to be sure". GET THE HECK OUT OF HERE!!! NEVER AGAIN OUTBACK!! The food is good for the price. I prefer the Bone-in Ribeye cooked medium rare. The cheesecake with the raspberry sauce is my favorite desert. The servers and managers are really friendly and I really feel like I'm at a restaurant in my house because of the comfortable atmosphere. read more

Let me start by saying that I haven't eaten at an Outback in probably 12-13 years. Yep...it's been a long time. I stayed away mostly because I had had bad experiences (poor service and mediocre food). These visits were at locations in FTW and Arlington. So, that being said, we probably wouldn't have selected this as our "date night dinner" if I hadn't been given a gift card on my birthday. We had excellent service from the hostess to our waiter, Thomas (no bad kids Thomas...remember that ). We were there during peak dinner hours (7p) and Thomas had several tables, but he was "just the right amount" of attentive and was a very pleasant guy. Appetizer (fried mushrooms) arrived quickly and were delicious. I believe they have the same coating as the blooming onion (which to be honest I was afraid of because those always tasted greasy to me...well at least they did 10-12 years ago). But the mushrooms were fresh and the coating was very light and was served with a "spicy" ranch. Yummy! My husband and I both had steaks (duh...it is a steakhouse); he had a ribeye and I had a small sirloin. Both cooked nicely, as we ordered, medium and medium rare respectively. I wondered about my steak, as it was a small 6oz and can be tricky to cook correctly, but it was perfect. The loaded baked potatoes were great and I had a beautiful bleu cheese and pecan chopped salad...so good! I am so glad we were given this gift card and gave Outback another try. My wife and I went to the Outback near 4902 North George Bush in Dallas and were very pleased with the service and great food we enjoyed. The original order for a ribeye was unsatisfactory, but the excellent manager Parker allowed my wife to order an 11 ounce Center cut sirloin at no cost. It was very delicious! Christine our waitress was incredible filling our water glasses and asking if we needed anything several times. We celebrated our 35th wedding anniversary with a great desert comped by Parker who apologized for the ribeye again. We will be back soon! read more

I cannot believe I just paid $17 for a Brisbane Caesar entree salad w/chicken. I got it home & was so disappointed with what I saw in the bag. Barely 2 handfuls of romaine, some shredded parm, 10 croutons, 2 tiny containers of dressing, and 2.75 ounces of grilled chicken. Yes I weighed it on my digital kitchen scale because I was like this can't be right! SEVENTEEN DOLLARS for this. They can't even be bothered to give you a full chicken breast (or even half!) for 17 dollars. Not even three ounces!!! I'm disgusted & it's the last time I'll order to go from Outback. The delicious premade grilled chicken Caesar from Central Market (the most expensive grocery store ever!) is only $9.99. And it's like 2x the size and way better quality tbh. The low-quality steaks we experienced on 2/10/24 reinforces the changing reality that restaurant quality has decreased significantly across the board with some exceptions of course. We live in a capitalistic society where you expect to receive quality when you give payment for goods and services. It's called a fair transaction. Unfortunately, quality in restaurants has decreased considerably and consistently while prices have increased. It's now an unbalanced transaction. The low quality of steaks at Outback Steakhouse is just increased proof that consumers in 2024 are living in a reality where restaurant quality is not what it used to be. Sadly, the change happened rather rapidly. We ordered charcoal grilled steaks and were eager to have a smoky flavor to the meat. When you pay $30 for a steak, you expect a good steak (a fair transaction) that is bursting with juicy flavor. My wife's steak was dry. My steak was cold when it came out. I returned mine immediately and ordered a burger instead. The burger was good but I didn't come to Outback Steakhouse for a burger. A dry steak and a cold steak are absolutely unacceptable but again, it is the reality we live in today. I need to stress that this is not the staff's fault. The waiter attempted to salvage the situation to the best of his capability and the manager apologized in person as well. Thank you. However, the status quo that consumers receive less quality for higher prices is completely unsustainable. We are on the cusp of changes coming to the restaurant industry. I could foresee robot chefs for example to consistently serve quality food, optimize the restaurant's credibility and maximize profit. I'm not sure that you can go wrong with Outback especially when it comes to their potato soup. It has to be the best potato soup on the planet. I don't care what my meal is, I always have to get this soup. It could be 105 degrees outside and this girl is getting the soup. Today I also go the Queensland chicken and shrimp pasta. Outback is probably one of my childhood favorites when it comes to a restaurant. I remember coming here for the cheese fries with my family then that became my thing as an adult. I haven't been to outback since the start of the pandemic but this experience was definitely different. Upon arrival, I could sense from the staff that they were frustrated and overworked. I knew to be patient and was. Unfortunately, the order was wrong and the wait was also. They did a great job of initiating the fix. I commend them on this effort and that is why I am still giving 4 stars! Times are still difficult for many restaurants so I'd say, still go and enjoy the outing but be patient as they navigate through the challenges that may be invisible to us as customers. read more

Used to be one of our fav family restaurants. This location is definitely suffering. We should have known back the lack of cars in the parking lot at 7pm. Our waiter did not listen- inexperienced and apathetic. The food- out of 3 meals, 1 steak was great, 1 was over-cooked and average and the salmon was so over cooked it was hard!! The portion sizes have been reduced- the food did not even fill the center of the plate- there was more 'white space' (color of the plate) then food. Very disappointed- will not return. read more

We used to like to go to an Outback Steakhouse, but haven't returned for several years, mainly because of poor service. The waiters/waitresses seem to have little interest in serving their customers, and then seem to have an untitled attitude, especially if they don't receive the tip they feel like they deserve. I appreciate good service and I don't mind giving generous tip when served well. I pretty much enjoyed the meal however it seemed that side choices were very limited, and portions were small... The only thing about the restaurant I noticed was that the dining experience was very dimly lit, probably to obscure the age and wear and tear on the furniture... Final note, because of the uncaring and un attentive staff, plus the inflated prices and small portions, and dimly lit atea... it just wasn't a exceptional experience overall... Don't come here if you're trying to have a semi-relaxed Friday dinner. It took 20 minutes to get food out and once it was out, I was able to finish less than half of my meal before I felt pressured to leave. An OK meal with unseasoned DRY medium rare steak (how is this possible???) became a poor experience with the manager and other staff constantly looking over my shoulder to see if I was done with my meal yet / checking in if I was done yet / saying "no rush" checking in if I was done yet. They're worried about turning tables and not customer service. I get it was a Friday night, but as someone who goes out to restaurants EVERY FRIDAY NIGHT, I have never experienced such unpleasant dinning. I won't be back. read more

We had prime rib with salads and husband had a loaded baked potato and I had their Mac and cheese. Salads were good, hubby's prime rib was good, but mine had a huge vein in it. We chose to come to the Garland, location for our 20th Anniversary. We walked in and put our name on the wait. The wait time was maybe 10 minutes till we were seated. A hostess brought around shot size salads for guest waiting, pretty neat idea. Adrian was our host, he was there in a minute to take our drink and appetizer order. We ordered the onion petals instead of the bloom., it was a smaller shareable size for two. Adrian brought our beverages and hot honey wheat bread to the table. He was ready to take the dinner orders. My wife ordered the Chicken Sandwich, I ordered a Medium 16oz Prime Rib. Now here is where it slows down. It took almost 30 minutes for the food to arrive. Adrian did his best on keeping our glasses full and bread on the table, reason for the 1 star deduction. The Prime Rib was cooked perfectly and tasted wonderful. Our server spoke too low with the overhead music and made it hard to hear. When I'd ask for clarification, I felt like I was being spoken down to as "that" customer. At one point her expression faltered and was annoyed at my inquiries. Extra insult, the quesadilla I ordered was sporadically sprinkled with paper thin steak, over cooked and hard to eat. I had high hopes for my date night but that went out the window as I was almost in tears from the food having to go back multiple times from it being wrong. I wanted the wedge salad with no onions or blue cheese. The first one had onions and no tomatoes. The second one had onions again. The third one again had onions and the lettuce was turning orange. THEN my steak had a piece of plastic around it. At that point I asked to speak to a manager. He corrected my food...it took 4 tries to get my salad correct and 2 times to make sure I wasn't eating plastic. The manager had told us he would take care of our meal. Our waitress gave us the check and my husbands meal and our drinks were on there. I'm sorry but the whole meal was a mess. My husband was nearly done with his meal before I was able to start eating my salad, let alone my steak. After finding the manager and asking him about what he said, the bill was all comped. Because my husband and I worked in the restaurant business for years and don't rush to blame the waiter for service issues. Past two times has been terrible steaks. Service OK, staff polite. My wife could only eat a 1/3 of her large steak because it was so tough this time. I got steak and lobster, the baby lobster meat was two inches long. The last time we were there my steak had so much gristle on it that 50% it could not be chewed.
