Today after gymnastics my mom took myself and 2 kids to lunch. We started off with the loaded cheese fries. The loaded part was an understatement. The loaded fries had tiny pieces of bacon not worth the price at all. For my main corse I opted for the steak quesadillas as the picture looked mouth watering. The actual steak quesadillas were lacking in steak. It was more like minced meat. For nearly $13 I had higher expectations. The iced tea was bitter and we asked for fresh iced tea but never received any. Outback Steakhouse does not put forth the food quality or service to justify the high prices. Ubiquity equals comfort! Outback is the same virtually everywhere you go. The quality of the food at this location is pretty consistent. My family tends to eat here once a month, maybe? The bulk of our dining, however, is via the Curbside Take-Away. Which has to be one of the best inventions for a fat bastard like me. You mean I don't even have to get out of my car? Sweet. The only downside of taking your score home with you is that the Bloomin' Onion is NEVER as good as it is at the table. The ten minute ride home always makes it soggier. Don't get me wrong, I still eat the damn thing, but it's not quite as good. My wife pretty much always gets the Alice Springs Chicken, which is grilled chicken breasts. If it stopped there, it would be a nice, healthy choice. However, it's covered in sauteed mushrooms, GOBS of melted cheese, and topped with bacon. Oh, and you get a ginormous amount of fries that need to be dipped in the honey mustard sauce they give you. I used to order the Rib Eye, however I've discovered that I actually like the taste of the Outback Special better. Rib Eye is my preferred steak EVERYWHERE else, but for some reason, the cheaper cut of meat is actually better at Outback. I'm a purist and don't put any type of sauce on my steak, but I've been known to get the sauteed mushrooms as a side from time to time. All in all, a good place to eat. Be aware, however, that the wait can be a pain sometimes. Everybody and their frickin' mother in Firewheel and the surrounding areas likes to eat out, so pretty much any restaurant in the three mile radius is pretty much busy every night. read more

On our last visit, DH ordered a ribeye but it was surprisingly tough. It didn't look like the right cut, so we asked the waiter. He brought a manager, who quickly brought the correct steak. I live near Outback Steakhouse and come here often. It seems to have more seating options than Texas Roadhouse. Im starting to see why.I went there for dinner and wanted a beer. They were out of most of my favorites . I settled on beer I dont drink. Should never have to settle. I wanted prime rib. They are out of prime rib. Its a Wednesday and the place was empty. I dont buy that. I settled for a bone in rib eye. ($32). They brought out a regular looking steak with a small piece of bone. My server noticed and offered to get another steak. I NEVER want to wait for new food while my family eats or waits for my food to come out. My wife ordered the 3 course meal ($17) it came with a dessert. She wanted a cheesecake. Guess what Im about to say. They were OUT.... What I should have done in the beginning was asked... "What do you have on the menu that you're not out of?". Ridiculas experience . Im sure Amy F (the owner will reply) just know your managers Parker and Ozzie did not once come to see how we were doing. The food and service is excellent. As long as you're not expecting a 5 star expensive steak from Del Friscos or Papas Brothers, their food at Outback is great! The service is great! I especially like their baby back ribs! Be prepared to get messy, as there's just no way around it. But, they'll provide plenty of wet wipes for that. My husband and I decided we wanted a good steak for dinner. We went to our normal place and found there was an hour wait so we decided to go to Outback Steakhouse next door with no wait. I ordered the 6 oz filet with salad and sweet Potato and my husband ordered the Ribeye also with potato and salad. We asked for our steaks to be cooked medium. My husband Ribeye turned out good, it had the nice warm pink in the middle and was juicy. My steak came and looked like a hamburger patty. Definitely over cooked. No juice at all. I waited until I could tell someone that my steak was cooked wrong while my husband continued to eat his meal. I was able to tell the supervisor and she immediately put in new request for another steak and did apologize that happened. I am still waiting at table for my dinner while my husband is eating his meal. The salad was wonderful. We also had bread and had ordered the onion with dip. I had already ate that. Finally my steak comes and now it had the warm pink Center with some juice but still was not as juicy as my husbands Ribeye, Maybe it was the cut of meat. Anytime I have gotten a filet from our normal place it was always cooked perfectly. This was still different. The staff were all very nice. Our waitress was Linsey and she was so sweet and did a great job as our waitress. Someone else had brought our meal out without knowing my steak was cooked wrong. We got our bill and it was way more than our other place would have been so I feel for the quality of food that Outback is too expensive. I would not mind paying more if my steak had been awesome. Loved our visit to Outback Steakhouse! We didn't hold back with our choice of meal either. My husband and I love steak and with the weather being colder during our visit, we were craving the taste of a freshly grilled steak and veggies. My husband got the lobster Mac and cheese with his steak and asparagus. I got a ny strip steak with green beans. Man, all was cooked to perfection. I enjoyed to big beers as well. I have lived down the street for five years from this outback and I eat there about once a week but in the last six months or so every time I order food to go there's always something missing. We ate here last night and the baked and sweet potatoes are very small and the tuna tar tar awful, says it also has Asian slaw but it's just awful! It's just a packaged rancid slaw on the bottom of portly prepared tar tar. Learn how to make things! The place needs a chef who knows how to make dressings and sauces. Tried the grilled salmon and it was good. Very tender and great grilled flavor. Forgot the butter rule and didn't ask for no butter on my veggie and they came out swimming. So we order our appetizer, The Sampler, and it was good, nothing great. The Mac and cheese balls were good, but a bit to big to eat. We finally order our dinner, two 11 oz Sirloins. Now........... it's not that the server was rude when he said he'd be "riiiiiiiight back" with our box... but again, it was like he was forcing himself to be nice lol. Today our server was in a huge hurry. We wouldn't get to finish what we're saying before the server would walk off. I didn't even get to finish my order. I asked for the cheese fries to be layered.
