I don't even know where to begin, but I'll keep it as short as I can.(well - just grab a coffee or some sort of drink - it might take a minute to read- but it comes from the heart and god honest truth!) My family and I have been going to Outback (N. Chs, SC) since I feel like y'all took over that restaurant by the mall 15-20 years ago! However. Years later, jobs change, and I moved to the keys... I finally got to key west and was DYING for an "outback special" (do you even call it that anymore???) so I ordered one. Too many "behind the scenes" people to thank, but I had to call and get the name of the chef tonight...why?? He is ON POINT! I ordered apps - so there was NO way I could finish my meal. But guess what - even 4 hours later - it is STILL medium rare! It takes a LOT of skill to know how to cook like that, and this chef needs recognition! I'm in hospitality... and I know it's mostly negative feedback - but it needs to be known - "Chef PAUL" nailed it! He made my outback experience PERFECT - even when I snacked on the steak at home - HOURS later! I can go on and on - but thankfully I spoke to the MOD "Jack" and he heard my experience - and I told him I'd share it wherever I could - including Outback corporate(next email)!. Living in miami, I'm able to experience multiple outbacks but the service and the quality of the food here tops the rest. My wife and I Drove down to the keys for a weekend getaway and happened to stay at a hotel right next to outback so we decide to go for dinner before heading into duval st. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted, seated, and drinks ordered. Inside was impressively clean, Our waiter was very attentive and extremely polite. My wife ordered the burger and I ordered the t bone steak. I dont believe it was 10 minutes before the food arrived. Excited how fast our food arrived, we went to town. The burger was perfect! The best burger I've had in a long time. The steak was incredible, the bone was dry by the time we were done lol. The Kitchen manager even came out and asked how our food was, very polite young man. The wife and I had such a great experience there we stayed another 2 hour ordering drinks cracking joke with the bartender. What a great experience, they will definitely see us back read more

Ordered the "teriyaki filet medallions" and what we received was a shish kebob of tips that was not cooked correctly (overcooked). Asked about the scallops to add to meal and the server did not know if bay or sea and also did not know the difference in the types. We had added a lobster tail and it came out raw. The sides were on the wrong plates. Once we spoke with the server, the "manager" came over and began to dispute the whole tips vs. medallions. He apparently did not know what a "medallion" is. In addition, the main is plated on a huge bed of rice which could have actually acted as a side. What a waste. The owner did finally show up and attempt to fix everything but the send backs came out wrong again (extremely rare when medium rare was requested). The owner saw our frustration and was aware of the issues from start to finish so he comp'd us on the entrees that were an issue. Great customer service from him but the server did not know her menu and the "manager" was clueless. read more

Heading down to the Keys for a weekend trip we were tried from the long drive and quite hungry. We passed by the Outback and decided to grab a bite to eat before heading to the hotel. From the moment we walked in the experience and service was great. The hostess was very nice and sat us right away. Our server came to our table rather quick and took our drink and food order. I got the coconut shrimp which was delicious!! I've eaten at many Outbacks before and this was by far the best coconut shrimp I've had. Hmmm currently craving it again! All my friends enjoyed their food as well. We were quite surprised! After our meal some young, tall, bald man came to our table to ask how our meal was and if there as anything else we would like. Turns out he was the manager. Micheal was his name I believe. I love when managers come to the table. It shows they value their restaurant. All around amazing experience. I will definitely be back next time I visit the Keys. read more

I have tried this outback 3 times for lunch. I was a single at an empty bar at 12:10 ish, gave the trainee my water and outback special order. The 3rd person I asked for bread, this was post soup, the trainer snapped at me. Said u should have asked me 1st... Yikes, sorry Lauren, you were trying your best. When your trainer bellowed your name at the back of your head. That's when I lost my appetite and told him I was gonna just get going. He said thank- you and I got up and left. You are corporate. Why is a lead bartender training a newly at lunch with absolutely no back up. Odd Lunch? Other than that outback probably rocks. That bar should be able to at least turn a single top at the bar. Not a place for birthdays. Dont expect a candle or a happy birthday. I took my son who was turning 13. I let the waitress know it was my sons birthday so he can be surprised.. When the desert came, no candel or happy birtday. They droped it on the table like It was a soup kitchen. Person said " nobody told me it was a birthday "and walked away like its not my problem. Manager comes by and says they cannot celebrate birthday, never once did they acknowledge my sons birthday. Manager could not care less. They can get away with anything because the corprate office does not care either. read more

Even though I know this is a chain... I know many locals who work there and make this a fabulous environment for either dining by yourself with friends or family! I truly enjoy the crab and avocado appetizer... I always enjoy the ribeye broccoli and sweet potato... And if you've done enough cardio you must try one of the desserts... I went there this evening and I've never given them a review so I thought I should let everyone know that if you want a good meal in a quick amount of time with great service and a wonderful staff... Had dinner here to take a break from the old town grind (and prices) while we were shopping nearby. Surprisingly turned out to be one of our best experiences in Key West! Our server, Delaney, was attentive, sweet and FUN! She had great suggestions and perfect timing. Honestly, she made it feel like fine dining vs. strip mall steak. We just wanted to take her with us! We have stopped at many Outback restaurants in the past. I have to say this Outback restaurant is head shoulders above the rest. The staff was more than accommodating and the manager Michael Goreci was outstanding. I highly recommend this restaurant when you are driving through Key West.
