I hate writing reviews to complain, but I didn't have the opportunity at dinner. Our server was totally overwhelmed with the amount of tables he had and was less then attentive . To us at least, he was super attentive to the other tables surrounding us- going as far as asking them how there appetizers were and refilling sodas without request. I asked for extra bread for the three of us (twice) and it was tossed on the table in passing. Not to mention our request for only a 2nd refill went ignored. Our burger was over cooked and my steak was so rare it was cold inside. The plates must have sat in the window so long our Mac and cheese crusted over and the plates were almost to hot to touch. We waiting for the check with our dinner plates still in front of us as our server offered his other tables dessert and coffee. We had someone else's food in our check and when I asked about it, it was taken back in a huff and returned pushed back on the table. The only pleasantries came from him returning my card expecting his tip. Well, I've been in the business for 17 years and I've never - ever- tipped less than 20% until today. Seriously, the food was the worst crap ever. The wait staff, however, was decent for the most part. Very attentive but clueless about the food they were serving. There were three of us at dinner tonight. No cocktails and it was about 100 bucks. Our 20 year old guest had prime rib that was bland and cooked incorrectly. Another had shrimps and steak that was not edible. Literally drenched in garlic and oil. I had the Caesar salad with about six mini shrimp. The romaine lettuce actually tasted like it wasn't washed. Just horrible. The sampler appetizer contained this onion ring concoction that people say is delicious. It was a platter of sodium. We didn't complain--We simply will never go back. read more

Unfortunately I went here for a Valentine's special dinner. The service was poor. The waiter seemed hesitant about any special, or the sides. The salad was wilted and with many brown spots. When I mentioned it, he never apologized or anything else. The Entree was served about 5 minutes after receiving the blooming onion. Asked for steak sauce which took over 15 minutes to get. The wrong dessert topping was received. Although I did contact the restaurant, I had to provide all kinds of specific data. Went there last nigh with a large party and they were very accommodating. We were seated almost immediately and the staff was very nice and knowledgeable. We were offered drinks and apps right away and took the recommendation of our fabulous waitress Victoria. She did not disappoint. Friendly staff ... has a new owner mendi , very nice ..I've always gotten the prime rib at other locations but this one was best so far ...I have two kids and its just easy to eat there .. try the homemade bbq chips ..sooo good ! Got the to-go sirloin steak with a house salad. In my opinion, the meal was poor at best. I have been a customer of this unit and many other Outback's for years. This is the second time a to-go meal from this unit was not good. Salad greens were brown (hidden by shredded cheese), steak was overcooked to the point of being "shoe leather" dry, potato just OK...they forgot the butter. The last time I ordered to-go (months ago), the steak IMO was literally garbage....I just threw it out. BTW: I know steaks, my grandfather and father were butchers - 70 years combined experience. We had dinner there last night. Our server had a new trainee with him. After we completed our dinner, when clearing our table, he noticed my husband had not eaten the mushrooms he ordered and asked if there was a problem. My husband responded they had been cold when brought for dinner. The server immediately apologized and said he would take it off the bill. We said it wasn't necessary as everything else we ordered was delicious. Our server left and moments later the manager returned offering to take off the bill. Again we said not necessary, but he insisted on doing something so he gave us a larger dessert for one of those with us and gave us a complimentary dessert . Normally I would not critic a franchise restaurant though tonight's dinner at outbacks was pretty good. The server was very friendly and the food came out as ordered. I had the NY strip and it was delicious. I ordered 2 16oz beers and both times they were not filled to the brim. The bartender could use some work. We usually go to outback due to the good food and great experience. This time, the experience was just ok. One thing they changed on the menu is the mozarrella caprese appetizer. It is nothing like what it originally was. We sent it back. Also, the server we had was quite slow. It took roughly 5-10 minutes to get a drink refill and he forgot to bring a second serving of bread. Another thing that my wife noticed was that the croutons were stale. They are usually crunchy. Other than those issues, the food was fine. I was surprised to have a subpar visit at this restaurant as they are usually pretty good. As a chain restaurant, they are still better than most. So, I liked Outback on facebook, then waited 48 hours for them to email me a coupon, then they would not accept it. We had 8 people and our waitress said she would allow us to use 2 coupons. We bought 8 meals so we should have been able to use 4 coupons if we sat at separate tables. but when the check came she decided she would only take one coupon. She should have said that before. Red Lobster will take as many coupons as you have. Went to Outback in Wilkes Barre and they were glad to take 3 coupons....... The worst experience I've had with outback I usually enjoy but lately they have gone down hill I ordered the Victoria filet, with dresses baked potato, and house salad which was the only thing that was good, also the "large" chocolate thunder and I placed the order for curb service which was a mistake cause by the time I got home I didn't feel like driving back to dump it on their doorstep I ordered the steak medium rare it was medium well, the baked potato was dry even after I put butter and sour cream on it, The so called Large chocolate thunder consisted of a teaspoon of Vanilla ice cream a soggy brownie and this white stuff I think was whip cream no chocolate sauce or shavings and I can't believe I paid $8.00 bucks for that chocolate garbage my total bill for one person mind you was $35.00 I should have gotten an old pair of shoes put them in a pan and ate that would have been than what I shelf out $35.00 dollars for Would I return I don't think. Revised review it has been six months since I wrote this review and I have to say the manager has changed my mind, after I posted the review I was contacted by the owner of said outback and asked what he could do to rectify my issue, after we had a nice conversation we agreed upon that Ibwould receive a $40.00 unexpired credit. My family and I went to Outback in Ledgewood and the service was absolutely fantastic! The server was quick, nice, and extremely helpful and attentive. First time to this location. It was on a Saturday night so I expected it to be busy and it was. Used the online feature to make a "reservation" which said to show up at 7:00. Showed up at 6:45 and was seated at 7:15. The place was clearly understaffed and our waiter showed up at 7:25 and we placed our order. The food arrived at 8:10. Portions were smaller than expected and the quality of the food was average - it was not bad but it was nothing memorable. I will not return nor can I recommend based on the slow service and overall price for two adults and a child - $80. read more

Have been to this location numerous times and it just keeps getting worse. Flash back 2 months ago I came here with my kids for an early dinner....waited 20 minutes before the waitress came to take our order. One of my kids ordered a bacon cheeseburger and received a grilled cheese. My other kid ordered a plain hamburger, received a cheeseburger. My order was o.k. Took 45 minutes for our order to come out. When I told the waitress about the mistake with the order she told me I must be confused because this is what we ordered. He didn't seem the least bit concerned. Swore I would never go back again. So..... Sunday 2/19/2017 wife and kids were starving....ended up going to Outback because everything else was packed. I'll condense everything here.... Blooming onion.....burn to a crisp Kids chicken fingers......dry as a bone Kids cheeseburger medium rare...... like a hockey puck Wife's shrimp was o.k. My 24oz. Melbourne rare, was half the size it used to be. used to be a thick cut steak, now its half as thick and more money. The steak tasted a little funny, had a sour taste to it. I ate it anyway because I was starving, luckily we only live about 5 minutes away because I barely made it home before having explosive diarrhea all night long. Never threw up, but probably lost 7 lbs out the other end. I will never eat in the place again, and recommend you don't either. On a positive note.....our waitress was very nice. read more
