I was craving a steak dinner and decided to visit this Outback location solo. I've been to various Outback locations in multiple cities over the years, but this was my first visit ever to this location. As I was very hungry, I decided to kick the meal off with an appetizer. After consulting my smiling and very friendly waitress, I ordered the blooming onion. My waitress spoke highly of it, and I've always loved onions. Unfortunately, when the dish arrived I found it to be incredibly oily; so much so that I gave up on it after just a couple of bites. Tip: Whatever time you might be thinking of visiting here, I'd strongly advise that you make reservations at last an hour in advance. For my entrée I ordered a medium-rare rib eye. Again, the picture looked very appetizing, but when it came I found it to be both much too salty and quite fatty as well; obviously a very poor-quality cut of meat that hadn't been well prepared. Hunger is the best sauce, so I managed to eat a bit less than half of it, but it's a good thing that the complimentary bread and butter were fresh, or I would have walked away from that meal ready to eat a 2nd dinner ;-) While the food was decidedly sub-par, the atmosphere was nice and the service was totally on-point. I might give this place another try sometime down the road, but I think next time I'm craving steak I'll find myself a non-chain steakhouse to try. read more

Girls night was a blast. Sat at the bar inquired if there was happy hour and bartender explained there wasn't any. We tried a gingerbread martini. It was so good. Next we had the blooming onion and grilled shrimp appetizers. Everything was great except the seat at the bar we chose. It was behind the beer station and I guess one exploded all over my friend. I expected to have our drink replaced or something off my bill for having beer sprayed all over her, but nothing of the sort. Came here for quick bite to eat. Outback must be insanely behind the times or I'm just extremely confused. Service is great, restaurant is decorated nicely and everything aesthetically is good. This is basically nothing more than a place to have overpriced drinks, appetizers, and dessert. Ordered the lunch special, pick your protein and your one side. Had a very small salad and then had a piece of chicken on a huge plate. I was expecting some sort of vegetable, but no. Everyone just say there confused at what we were just served. Free bonus, if you get shrimp you get a random piece of bread to absorb the shrimp butter and overly salty seasonings. I had to laugh a bit when I clicked on the yelp app and it says "plenty of vegetarian options.". What they meant to say is you can have salad 3-4 ways and with or without meat on it. Came here on a Wednesday around 3 pm time. Group of 8 we were seated quickly. Service was friendly and attentive the whole time despite it being busy. Food was a bit of a wait but it tasted good. Ordered the 5 ounce sirloin with coconut shrimp with side of the house salad and fries. The shrimp was bomb and crunchy the sirloin was a bit too over cooked so hard to cut. Fries were fresh. Tonight 11 of my friends and I went to Outback in Ontario, Ca for dinner before going to see a show. We researched the specials and decided we'd go to Outback for the 3 course meal for $14.99. We made reservation for 12 at 5:30 on Thursday February 6th. Our server De Angelo was fantastic! Very attentive and thorough. They had 3 different price options. Originally I'd chosen the coconut shrimp for $14.99, but then we saw on the website that they had 1/2 rack of ribs for $20.99, so I changed my order to the ribs. Then the bill came. I was charged $27.49 for the ribs. I complained to the waiter about the price difference. He went to speak to the manager. He came back saying, "the manager said the website says starting at: before listing the entrees under that amount." I told the waiter, this is unacceptable! You can't list one price on the website and not honor that price at the store. I was not the only one that had been incorrectly charged in our group, but mine was the highest amount incorrectly charged. We had tickets to a show, so the other ladies went ahead. De Angelo said he would have the manager come out. I explained the situation to the manager. He said that we can't go by the website prices, as those are nationwide and not necessarily for that location. I told him that we put this location in and those are the prices came up. He finally offered to change my bill to the website listed price, but said next time I had to pay the menu prices! Shouldn't the website prices and the menu prices be the same, if that's what they're advertising? I don't know if this Ontario location is scamming customers to make bigger profits, but beware and check your bills before you pay! I've been in the customer service and restaurant business most of my life and never would I have sent a waiter back to the table if someone complained! That manager should have come to the table as soon as he knew we were unhappy! Very poor management at this restaurant, but D'Angelo was a superb waiter! 5 for him! 1 for the manager. read more

Took my daughter to Outback Steakhouse in Ontario last night for her birthday. She loves their Coconut Shrimp and we have been there before, even on a birthday. What stood out this time around was our server, Yanci. Yes, she was everything a server needs to be, responsive, thorough, polite, etc...What I am here to praise though is what she did at the end of our dinner. I paid and was going to leave but she made us wait a minute and gave my daughter a free ice cream BUT what she also gave my daughter was a personally signed by her and other staff members a birthday card and a gift card for a free Blooming Onion. We've been to this Outback many times always had good service & food was great. Today, 9/20, we went to have lunch. Were seated immediately, not busy. I asked the host about their 3 course meals, all he said was he was pretty sure it was offered on the weekend also. Our server came right away & offered drinks, we ordered water. We looked over the menu, when he came back I asked him about the Aussie meals, he said he'd bring the paper flyer. He brought it over about 2-4 min later, didn't let us know he brought it, just dropped/threw it on the table, without a word. Waited approximately 10 min for him to take our order, eventhough he went to a table across from us. We didn't get served the bread & butter either. We got up & left. I understand if itsvery busy..but it wasn't at all. We went on Father's Day, crowded, good service & food. We just wanted to leave, were very hungry. Ended up at Big Al's & I'm glad we did. We had a wonderful experience at this location. Slightly busy for a Tuesday evening, but seated right away. Friendly service. Quick refills. We started with the Bloomin' shrimp app. I ordered the Bloomin fried chicken sandwich. Outback needs to Bloomin everything!!! Sooo good! The rest of my party ordered ribs with a baked potato and broccoli and a cheeseburger. Ribs were fall-off-the-bone. The broccoli was cooked to perfection, not too tender and not undercooked! Called in Takeout Service - Food was ready in 20 minutes. Haven't been here in maybe a decade or more since I grill my own steaks with my Green Egg. What I don't do is baby back ribs - what a pleasant surprise - tender with the perfect tug, full bodied flavor, sauce was savory - good old fashioned. Got the rice and Tasmanian chili and together was a delightful meal in itself - a lot of mmm's after each mouthful. I ordered the bloomin onions - expected the sogginess since it was a takeout but luckily our air fryer did the trick to semi-restore it to its off the kitchen state. I happened to visit this Outback Steakhouse in Ontario on a recent weekend. The polite hostess was quite efficient and got me a table with minimal wait time. I was curious to try the Chimichurri filet since it was new on the menu. The steak was tender and done well while the chimichurri sauce was delicious. Hello, my service was excellent at this restaurant . The waitress was great. I have to say, I've been to this location before. At that time, I would have rated them a 10 of 10. We loved everything. This visit was actually what brought me back on Father's Day. My husband and I got the premium steaks, a rib eye and a porterhouse. Both were well over $40.00. The steaks were tender but there was an excessive amount of fat in both. You can expect some fat in these cuts but not as much fat as was in our steaks. I had a gift card to Outback Steakhouse and I was so glad that I did, because this visit was fair dinkum. I came in on a weekday arvo and the wait was pretty long, but then again, the place was chock-a-block and flat out, so it was totally understandable. And either way, as soon as I got seated, my waiter wasn't a bludger, as he jumped straight to my table and offered some really attentive service. Because I love the blooming onion appetizer, but I totally wasn't in the mood to eat an entire onion and destroy my breath for the night, I decided to try the next best thing: the blooming chicken! The order came out really quickly and I was heaps stoked with the food. The dish was generously portioned with plenty of side dishes and that signature zesty dipping sauce that usually comes with the blooming onion appetizer. The chook was perfectly battered, so it had the right balance of a light and crispy outer layer while still being deliciously moist on the inside. I know that the Outback Steakhouse is known for their steaks (hence the name), but if you swing by for a visit and you're not in the mood for beef, then I'd defo recommend their blooming chicken dish. And if you are in the mood for some steak, then we can only hope that sometime in the future, they will make a blooming steak... that would be sweet as! read more
