The young lady that I spoke to it this Outback in the Ozarks was so understanding I told her I have not had a good steak in three months since the pandemic took place and I had been online to try to order a steak through them but I couldn't get extra steak sauce and it was just a bum so I call the store and this nice young lady said that they didn't have any delivery people but she said hold on I want to talk to my manager. Was served a grisly, fatty steak and wife was served a baked potato that was black inside. Complained to server (Summer). She heard our concerns and walked away from our table with no reply. She brought our dessert and after we had eaten it, she came back and offered to replace the potato. We payed and left in disbelief. I sent a comment to corporate office. They asked for the date and we replied. I recontacted corporate after 2 weeks. No further followup from anyone. I have a normal practice of telling the world if I have a good experience, and telling management if I have a bad experience. That didn't work in Outback's case. read more

Service was mediocre, our server was nice but not very attentive after taking half the order stopped and addressed another table this was through out the meal had to ask another server for missing dressing and condiments because she didn't stay around long enough to see if she had everything, she had 3 tables. We arrived and were seated quickly but then it took a while to take our order. I ordered a filet medium well, garlic mashed potatoes, and cheese broccoli. The filet came out and was not round but crescent shaped and it was not medium well. It was barely medium. You could not taste one bit of garlic in the "garlic" mashed potatoes and my broccoli came out without cheese. By the time they brought the broccoli back out with cheese, I had almost finished my steak and potatoes. During our meal, the hostess tried to seat another couple at the booth next to us and it was still wet from being cleaned. When the customer said she didn't want to sit on the wet booth, the hostess said, "Well, we just cleaned it." And the husband had to tell her to dry it off. It was bad. It seemed poorly managed. The quality of this joint varies day by day. One day you will get fast service and good food, another day the food will be terrible and it will take hours to get a complete meal. The last steak that I had was one of the bad ones. It was a prime rib. The prime rib come seasoned on the outside edges with some very powerful stuff. It is good is small bites as you eat the outside edge of the cut. The one I was served though was the butt end of the steak. It had the seasoning all over the bottom and was just way too overpowering. After that experience I am going to have a hard time going back here. On top of that you almost always have to wait for a seat. I just don't think it's worth it. read more

After arriving in Osage Beach, four of us decided to go to Outback since many of the restaurants were closed. We were immediately greeted by the hostess who sat us at a table that we thought was too small for our party. She graciously moved us to another table, which wasn't a problem since the restaurant was not full. We ordered a blooming onion for an appetizer and in our opinion it was overcooked and burnt on several of the petals. Shared that with the waitress who stated they always look that way. We continued to eat them, but will probably not order them again from this restaurant. Several entrees were ordered consisting of the rib eye steak, chopped steak, grilled tilapia and a salad with shrimp. All of the entrees were served at the correct temperature and were delicious. The Caesar salad was the highlight for many of us. The other memorable highlight for this meal was that someone elected to "pay it forward" and pay for our entire meal. What a surprise and definitely put our meal over the top. A special thank you and blessing to this person who chose us for "paying it forward." We will definitely try to extend the gesture to others. I'll admit it, I'm a fan of Outback. It's got good food and usually decent service. As part of our trip to see how much the Lake has changed, my mother and I came here to enjoy a dinner. I understand having empty tables and short servers, but after we were sat here, the server took forever to get to us, taking about something that had to be very important with the bartender. Once getting our order, the server was gone. Only to return with the check before I was finished grossing my mother out eating a medium rare steak. The food was good, mother's fish dish was great and my steak was right on. The server only had a couple tables we could see and was in love with the handsome bartender. Great dinner experience! Staff was friendly, knowledgeable, fast, attentive, and the food was awesome! Normally I don't get hamburgers at a steakhouse, but the double cheeseburger was the best hamburger I've ever eaten! Wife, and 3 kids Walked in Dec 26th in the afternoon, greeted and sat immediately, but took close to 10 minutes for a waitress to take a drink order. We were already ready to order food so I let that slide. Salads, bread came pretty fast. Drinks refilled often, main course came out in a timely manner and werr all satisfied, but for the 2nd time in 2 months, the bill was way over priced . My $8 burger and salad was $10, my wife's $8 quesadilla and salad was $13.50 and our free blooming onion coupon was not taken off thr bill so another $10 was applied. A total of $17.50. We've had multiple good experiences that this outback. Last weekend was no exception. I had the filet and ribs. Delicious and perfectly cooked. Husband had the prime rib - amazing. Kids had Mac and cheese and broccoli. We were all fighting over the delicious Mac and cheese. Despite all the food we even splurged on a chocolate thunder from down under..yum. We used to go to this outback often. My husband and I noticed the food quality slowly go downhill over about a year and finally one day we had a terrible encounter with the manager. I ordered a filet and it was covered in fat and about as thin as a slice of bread. We didn't complain, we just asked the server if maybe we had received the wrong plate. The server didn't seem sure of the meat either and asked the manager to come over. The manager was immediately defensive and seemed agitated that he was called over. He told us it looked normal to him and he's not sure why we were complaining. The meat at this particular Outback is rarely cooked correctly and the filets always have a large amount of fat on them. They've removed many popular items from the menu (garlic mashed potatoes, for one). They've recently remodeled but the same manager is still there (we often see him smoking outside). However, this particular outback has just gone way down in terms of service level. We last went on a Tuesday evening and the place was at least 60% empty. Tables were empty and dirty. We ate dinner here on February 18th, 2018, at 5:30, right before going to a movie. We received our drinks and the glasses were filthy. Not sure how the waitress didn't notice how gritty the glasses were. They also had black spots on inside, disgusting and I asked waitress for new, "clean" glasses. The cook on shift was horrible. We ordered shrimp on the Barbie and not only did it look disgusting, I put my finger on it and the shrimp were still raw. We got two apps, wings and blooming. Blooming onion was a pitiful, greasy, overcooked in one area and undercooked in another mess. The wings tasted nasty and they were also cold and undercooked. The rest of the food came and every bit of it was luke warm at best. I've come to this Outback before because we have a Lakehouse in Linn Creek and come to Lakehouse almost every weekend and anytime we have vacation time. This Outbook is definitely not like the others as far as cleanliness and food quality. We've been to this location several times and it's always just been average, however, tonight it was the worst. Perhaps it is a franchise without the typical standards as seen in other locations. To top it off, this weird, robotic, manager walks around asking everyone at least 3 times if everything is ok with no authentic concern. It's been about 12 years since I've been to an Outback, that's how bad the food, service, and overall experience was. Today I decided to give it another shot. The Hostess was extremely polite, there was a bit of a wait, but it was do to staffing issues. Once sat, you couldn't tell they were running on a limited staff. The waitress was amazing, the food came out not only in a timely manner, but more importantly, properly cooked. My mid rare stake was cooked to perfection, the seasoning superb. My guests chicken, moist and delicious, and the onion blossom was to die for. The place was under staffed as our waitress was working as hard as she could but had a lot of tables even the assistant manager was helping her out with the tables. We called ahead and made reservations on a Saturday night, last night. We were told we would have a 45 minute wait after having call ahead and being told to arrive at 6:30pm. The two ottomans were disgusting and rotting up front. Shreds on leather from the ottoman lay on the disgusting, unswept floor of probably a week. We sat down and ordered a fantastic bloomin' onion. The waiter delivered our appetizer without plates, silverware, or napkins. We politely ask for all 3 items and he said our dishwasher was behind. 10 minutes later we asked for plates, silverware, and napkins. He rolled his eyes and gave us cocktail napkins with the same excuse the dishwasher was still working on them. At this exact time, a new table of 4 was seated to our right and the waiter brought out plates, silverware, and napkins without them even ordering drinks or an appetizer. Our appetizer was cold and at this point I went to speak to the manager. He was young, definitely had his hands full, and professionally tried to help out with our situation. The waiter then dropped off the items at our table with an attitude for the remaining evening. He forgot our sauces twice and when we followed up continued to give us an attitude. I ordered the filet and shrimp. The entire dish was cold. We figured it was a busy night, but will not be going back anytime soon.
