This was not a good experience. We were seated and it took our server about 15 minutes to get our drinks. The place was extremely cold and it had been roughly an hour and still no main course. We told them to box up our dinner and we would take it to go. I came to the car to sit. Really aggravated about the whole situation. Outback is usually my favorite place to eat and we usually frequent this place 3-4 times a month. Looks like it's time to find a new weekend place to eat. read more

Outback used to be my wife and I's 'go-to place for great food'. not so much anymore. We stopped returning a few years back when we had a very mediocre experience. So last night, on our anniversary, we decided to give it another go. Big mistake. They were busy but we felt we were seated in a timely manner. It was a slow greet and even slower drinks, but again it was busy and we weren't in a rush and our server looking like she was hustling. So not a problem. But then the bloomin' onion arrived. They had overcooked the heck out of it, it was dark and greasy and seemed like there wasn't much onion left, it all had been caramelized to nothingness. So we pushed it to the side and the waitress came and checked on it and we told her it was not very good at all. She sent over the manager. He asked if they could make another for us, which we agreed would be ok. But then he added that 'he had seen it and told them to not send this one out'. Awesome, too bad he hadn't stopped them. When the second one arrived it was also overdone, plus dripping with grease. It wasn't so bad as the first but a far cry from what it should have been. I saw that same manager look over the booth at it and turn away. He never returned, but I knew he knew. We ate a part of it, this morning I wished I hadn't. lol. So then the steaks.. My sirloin was ordered MR, but came out with a cool purple core. I can handle rare, but don't care for it in a sirloin. Not a biggie. I had the grilled shrimp added to it, they were so cold the butter hadn't even melted on them. Now my wife likes her cows dead twice over. Her filet medallions were ordered Well and came out with pink, fatal error with her. We realized this was going to be a repeat of history. We ate about half of out entrees. By this time we were full on greasy well done onions and potatoes. We let the waitress know we weren't happy. She sent over a different manager. He was understanding, heard us out and went and took off the blooming onion. Message received Outback! Bill was $80 plus tip. Screw this place. Outback no more. So if you want my advise, JB Hooks Steak and Seafood had better steaks (and they will be right) at about the same pricepoint... maybe a bit higher. Dominecos also has excellent food when your at the lake and is pretty much the same price point.. I'd seriously consider one of these if your shooting for a memorable dinner on a special night. read more

Had dinner here the other night and let me tell you, it has severely gone down hill. We visit every time we come to the lake. Last time we were in town we had a sweet waitress that went out of her way to make my fathers birthday so memorable. Well, this time was AWFUL. It took forever for someone to acknowledge and seat us. Our server, Lauren, seemed annoyed at the fact that we were even there. She doesn't seem to have the face muscles it requires to smile and spent most of her time talking to one of the managers. The food was mediocre at best. We had to ask for refills. She forgot my mother's ranch twice. We were never asked if we wanted dessert and when it came time for the check we waited AT LEAST 20 minutes. She never even cleared the dishes from our table. By far the worst service we've had anywhere in a long time. It looks like an entirely new staff. My suggestion? BRING BACK THE OLD STAFF! read more

The place was very busy as we came in and though we spent a little while waiting for a table and getting our food and drinks, it was all delicious as we got it. The Boomerang Beer Flight was excellent and all of the entrees were cooked to perfection. There was some problems with appetizers but our waiter Derrell was very accomodating and made sure everything was right as square before we walked out the door. Me and my girlfriend were just at this location about 20 minutes ago. We ordered and when they brought the salads out, my girlfriend noticed a hair on the side of her salad bowl. I stopped a server at a table near us and told her what happened. She immediately apologized and said "Let me take care of that right away." She grabbed the salad and asked if my girlfriend wanted another one which she did. She took it to the back (even though she was not our server) and within 4 or 5 minutes, the manager on duty brought her out another salad, apologized very politely and comped my girlfriends portion of the meal. A few minutes later, our server (who was EXTREMELY polite and knowledgeable the whole time) came by and apologized for it also and asked if we needed anything else. Then a few minutes later, the server who took the salad back to the manager (who again, wasn't even our server) stopped by the table to make sure everything was taken care of. So my lasting impression of our meal tonight was that we had a very polite server who did very well and provided great service, 3 people took possession of a problem and made sure it was corrected quickly, all 3 of them (our server, the other server, and the manager) checked with us to make sure it was resolved, and all 3 of them knew exactly how to handle it in a way that was fast and professional. Wings were very good. Great 8 oz filet. Very tender & cooked to perfection. Can't recommend Garlic mashed potatoest. Salad was good. We split a Thunder Down Under dessert, was very good. Waitress Sara was great. We were celebrating our 43rd anniversary and couldn't have been taken better care of. Try to get one of her tables if possible. Not one to usually give 5 - Star reviews, but this place deserved it. Our food was hot and delicious, but it was the service that stood out. Our server, I believe her name was Jordan, was outstanding. She had this lovely soft-spoken tone to her voice and was so pleasant to us. Waited over an hour in the bar for a table, then they took us to a high-top table in the bar. Are you kidding me? We said we would wait for a table. Five minutes later they had a small table for two in a crowded area. Waitress was friendly, but very rushed. Filets were terrible, thin slices of beef loaded with season salt. In Mother's Day we went to outback at my mothers request. She does not live in the area and has never been to an outback before. It was extremely busy and we were worried about the quality of service we would receive. The host was very pleasant and told us Elizabeth would be our waitress. Elizabeth greeted us with a huge smile and made suggestions for drinks since we weren't sure what we wanted. Then when we explained my mother had never been to an outback she got us a FREE! Blooming onion and if that didn't make my mother happy the dessert (the brownie and ice cream one) sure did. Elizabeth was a complete joy and made sure we always had full drinks and she always had a smile on her face. We will definitely be back and be requesting her as our server! read more

My wife and I haven't been to Outback in a long time so we decided to go with our kids. Not impressed with this location. Table and booth seats weren't clean when we were seated. They had food crumbs in them. The waitress said my Foster's beer would be right out. I didn't order Foster's, I ordered Sam Adams. She did bring the correct beer when it got here. Ordered two sides. A couple minutes later she asked what sides I ordered then didn't bring one of them when dinner came. Food was cold when it arrived and I didn't eat the shrimp because I wasn't sure it was cooked. Color wasn't completely white and it came cool. If it had arrived hot I wouldn't have worried about it. Also ordered steak medium and it came out medium well and cool. Gave it two stars because at least the steak was seasoned the way I remember and like it. read more

Mediocre at best. Got appetizer after 15 minutes, then salads took about 20 minutes and it was an hour before steaks arrived. Waited an hour for lukewarm almost room temp steaks. Even baked potato was only mildly warm. Waitress forgot an order of shrimp which arrived midway through steaks. Waitress kept saying we're so busy. Saturday night in off season shouldn't be that much of a problem to handle. Waitress did apologize repeatedly but never informed manager nor did another waiter who asked if he could do anything for us. I don't recommend this restaurant. read more

I eat here often and have never been disappointed in the food. From chicken to ribs to steaks and margaritas, it's all good! If there was one criticism of this place it would be that service can be sketchy at times. Thankfully during the last 2 visits the service was top notch. read more

Went yesterday with a friend from out of town for lunch, should have known when there were only 4 cars in the parking lot but thought we'd give it a try. Blooming Onion came out burned, dripping with grease.....Then the lunch specials came out, I got the 1/2 prime rib melt, ordered it medium rare, was the size of a baby fist with 3 pieces of nothing but fat and well done, couldn't even cut or chew it. My friend got the Coconut shrimp with rice, she had one bite of rice, UGH then tried a shrimp, was burned and didn't even taste like a shrimp.
