We arrived at a good time. Just after shopping, it wasn't too busy. The booth was a bit rundown but not too bothersome. McKenzie was our server. For the most part she was pleasant but on occasion her response was short and curt and a bit snide in some ways. It was 6 of us so you can imagine we needed things if it wasn't provided in a timely fashion or if she forgot. We weren't the only table disappointed or waiting quite often for her attention. Our food was delicious overall and our drinks was so potent and good.

Please take a day to clean! This level of dust and dirt in the dining room and bathrooms you are willingly allowing your customers to see in plain view, leads me to believe your kitchen is possibly a health hazard. I will not be back to this location. I have my fingers crossed I don't get sick. I only stayed because I was in a group and I didn't want to cause an issue by leaving the group. The server was very nice and did a great job taking care of us.

Upon arriving we checked in at the hostess desk. After everyone around us had come and gone after we got there and having waited 50 min on what was supposed to be 15-20 min. We found out that they had not actually checked us in when we checked in. The restaurant was very under staffed!! We ordered drinks and attempted to order the Blooming Onion that is there known appetizer and were told they were out, which is whatever but they have worked that in to several menu items as well which limited the food options. When our meals came they were fine, nothing spectacular. Overall I was reminded why I don't go here often.

Seemed like an unprepared night. Came around 7:30 so fairly later for the dinner rush. We were sat soon, but the host was unsure of where to seat us and had to ask around. Once we were sat, our server Fred was amazing! He was very friendly, attentive, soft-spoken, and knowledgeable about the menu. He brought us our bread and butter, which the bread looks very potato shaped which I found funny. I ordered the mock croc which was sprite with mango and green edible glitter topped with a croc toy, I didn't taste much mango but was still tasty nonetheless. I got the grilled chicken on the Barbie which is just grilled chicken with barbeque sauce on the side. I paired that with a sweet potato, which was nice a soft, and seasonal veggies which happened to be broccoli. The broccoli was plain and steamed so if you want butter or something else, prepare to ask. Also tried the alice springs chicken which is grilled chicken with mushrooms, bacon, cheese, and honey mustard sauce. For my two sides, I got a Caesar salad and seasoned rice which went amazing topped with the honey mustard. Overall the food was good and came out in a timely manner and our server was amazing, it just seemed they were slowing down for the night despite people still coming in. They tried to sit down a couple only to find that all the tables we're still dirty and needed to be wiped down.

Got on the waitlist for 730p, showed up at 7:20, and were seated at 7:50p. It was BUSY for a Saturday night. I haven't had a blooming onion since 1999, and I'm unsure why, but this is where I wanted to go for my birthday, so this is where we ended up. I started off with a berry lemonade, and made sure to point to the mocktail version. When it came out, it was very undeniably alcoholic, and had to ask for another one. I'm sober, so to be served something with alcohol was highly disappointing, as im going on 8 months sober next week.. ugh. We got our blooming onion, I opted for the sirloin and shrimp. It was fine. Not spectacular, but also not bad. The shrimp was over seasoned with salt. Our waiter, Fred--he did an amazing job and took care of his section well. We got checked up on often, he was apologetic when I asked if I got served an alcoholic version, and he was very attentive and sweet.

What an upsetting experience. The restaurant has gone downhill and we will not be back. Service was TERRIBLE. It's always mind blowing that when a server looks at your empty cup multiple times and just walks off. Food came out about 40 minutes later and was severely over cooked and dried out. The first manager that came out was in a terrible mood and didn't say but maybe "cut it open" Fries - for $12 and loaded - it had a pinch of cheese on it and couldn't see the bacon....so if you want to pay $12 for a plate of fries for an appetizer. I refused to eat the over cooked steak. Sad to see this failing restaurant.

I have come to this outback numerous times and I do not believe I have ever had an opportunity to review it. We came on a Sunday afternoon after church. It wasn't too busy. We decided to take advantage of a free bloomin onion deal they had going on set to expire today. We got seated right away. The food and service was good. The bread was fresh and warm and the butter was sweet and delicious. The bloomin onion was good. They have a special for a 3 course meal for $14.99 I got a baked potato soup. It was ok. It was lumpy and not smooth. I recommend Chili's baked potato soup better. But this one wasn't bad. Just needed salt and pepper . I had a house salad and a grilled shrimp served over a baguette. Dessert was a cheesecake that was to go as there was just no more room for any more food. We had a lot of servers as our server was also the bartender. She was very nice and managed to take good care of us along with her staff. David the manager has always been very personable and if you like a good deal their walkabout Wednesday deal for $13.99 is a Great midweek deal. You get a steak or chicken breast with a side a drink could be a soda or a beer. Great deal. The environment and the lighting is always nice. Good music playing. The bar tv had the show Friends playing in the background. It was a nice relaxing Sunday meal. We are full and ready for a nap.

Bloomin' Fried Chicken Sweet Potato Asparagus

Bloomin' onion: A classic well-known appetizer at Outback was seasoned nicely, but started to get very greasy after eating a few. Bloomin' Fried Chicken: A unique concept, with execution lacking. The chicken was dry and a the crust was denser and tougher than expected, and wasn't very flavorful. The vegetables were the best part of the dish, with the asparagus tender and well cooked.

I was impressed with the first-rate service, the nice dining area, the good portions, the tasty food and the good specials at this established restaurant during my dine-in lunch visit. The 6 oz sirloin steak with lobster tail and choice of two sides ($24.99 one week only email offer) was served with a smile just 17 minutes after I ordered at the bar, which gave me time to enjoy the complimentary, warm, fresh, wheat bread with whipped butter. The steak was cooked to order, and the portion sizes were good. The veggies were slightly under-cooked, but otherwise everything was delicious. I found the dining area to be clean, nice, spacious and wood-toned with a mix of tables, booths or bar seating, a mix of background music and several TVs, while the service at the bar from Mason was stellar - cheerful, friendly, professional and attentive - nice! They also offered a full bar with a good variety of $7 cocktails. Very nice!

if I could give zero stars I would. Our waiter was nice and consistent but our food was not very good and was very disappointing. My dad ordered a Ribeye steak that wasn't even editable because it was all fat! I won't be coming back and definitely don't recommend.

It definitely gives "I was formally a sports bar that was hap hazardly put together to try to pass off as an upscale restaurant." It feels cold and unwelcoming in a way. The music over head was barely audible adding to the sterile feel of the space. So bottom line for me, I liked the food well enough, but with the ambiance and service lacking, I won't return.

Several dishes were overly salted, and the Caesar salad was especially sad--wilted lettuce and lacking freshness. The restaurant was very crowded, but not adequately staffed to handle the volume. Service was slow throughout the night, and they ran out of items on the Restaurant Week menu. I was served melted sorbet and had to send it back. Our dinner took nearly three hours, largely due to long stretches of waiting to be served or checked on. Busy nights are understandable, but the lack of pacing and execution really took away from what could have been a much better experience. They had a jazz band playing which was a nice experience. If you go, ask for a table on the right. We were on the left side and about frozen every time the front doors opened, which was a lot while the band was bringing in their equipment.

We were seated on time at a table next to the bar-side of the dining room. Speaking of the dining room, it's a nice, if standard size for a strip-mall space, but I really appreciated that the tables were not stacked on top of each other, as seems to be the case at more and more places these days. It felt like there might be some chance of our entire conversation not being completely overheard by our neighbors, which was nice for a change! Our waitress was fantastic! She walked us through the menu, the restaurant's approach to cooking and seasonality, some of her faves, and made wonderful recommendations! We decided to split a few small plates, which was a great approach! We got to try about 1/3 of the small plate menu, and loved it all! It was all great, but the Black Cardamom Burnt Ends are NOT to be missed! It made my cardamom-loving, Midwest soul very, very happy indeed! The space is a really nice size - not massive or overwhelming - and with the shades drawn down (to seal out the late afternoon sun, thank goodness!) and dim lighting, the mood vibes were solid for a romantic anniversary dinner! The other ambiance item of note is that the restroom corridor smelled absolutely fantastic! Upon investigation, it was due to a burning candle from a lovely local-KC company that was custom made for the restaurant! Yes, they're for sale, and yes, we picked up two! While everything was lovely and the food was very good, you're definitely paying a high price for it. Not that it's not deserved, but the "value" feels aren't necessarily "off the charts", by any means. And that is really my only critique, if there is any at all! Decent option for dinner…read more I stopped by earlier this week on my first night in town, and sat at the end of the bar. The bartender served me a Guinness (on tap, of course!) and then recommended the Monday Steak Night special ($60) - a prix fixe option which included a salad plus one of four types of steak, sides, and dessert. I opted for the house salad (with sherry vinaigrette dressing), the hangar steak (he was selling it hard!), sautéed green beans, and lemon meringue pie. The house salad was superb, with delicious chunks of goat cheese! I also enjoyed the sautéed green beans, loaded with sliced almonds and fresh garlic. The hangar steak was probably the most disappointing, and solely responsible for this review not earning 5 stars. I took half of it to go along with half of the green beans. The lemon meringue pie looked delicious but I could not eat another bite, so that also went into a to-go container. Back in my hotel room that night, working late as I was jet lagged, I ate that pie. OMG! PURE HEAVEN!! And the main reason this review earned 4 stars! Will be back for the salad and green beans and pie! And some Guinness on tap, of course!!

The space was nice and clean, but unfortunately, the service and the "famous" main course didn't quite deliver a stellar performance. Our table was split--some wanted dinner, some wanted dessert. This apparently threw our waiter into a state of deep existential confusion. The Food: I ordered their "famous" fried chicken, customizing it to three thighs (which came with homemade pickles and a fantastic ham gravy). For $24, it wasn't bad, but it's definitely not "famous" for flavor--maybe just famous for the price tag. Honestly, I could have filled up at Popeyes for a fraction of the cost. Surprisingly, the absolute star of my meal was the side of sautéed mushrooms. It came with little pearl onions, shallots, and green peas. I topped it with some of my friend's arugula to make it fancy, and it was delicious. The Service (or lack thereof): Here's where it went downhill. The dessert order became a saga. Those who ordered sweets expected them to arrive with the mains, but we had to ask several times just to get them toward the end of the meal. By the end, our waiter seemed completely frustrated with our existence. He aggressively boxed up the remaining desserts and semi-forcefully shoved the credit card machine into our faces to shuffle us out the door. Great mushrooms, aggressive math at the end. Proceed with caution.

I had reservation reservations for us at 6 PM. We were seated promptly and had a server who was very kind and pretty good considering it was his second night working here. We each ordered a cocktail, which were very good. And we each had prime rib. The meat itself was pretty stringy and hard to cut with the dull knives that we were given. Mine was undercooked. I ordered mashed potatoes with brown Gravy, which were just okay. My wife enjoyed her baked potato a great deal though. Our server brought out our food when we weren't even halfway through our salads. He apologized because he knew he was early, but by the time we got to our entrées, they were cold. A great, or even good steakhouse would never do that. The food quality was average or below, and the service was about the same. If you're looking for mediocrity, you can find it here. By the entrance, they have a list of 10 great steakhouses in the US. I have been to a few of them, including Peter Luger's, and Jess and Jim's really has no place on this list. I literally laughed out loud as we passed by the sign on the way out.

Went there for dinner last night to celebrate a birthday…read more We had the shrimp scampi and the pork chop. Both main courses were excellent. The scampi had a generous portion of good size shrimp. The pork chop was very thick and large yet was very flavorful and tender. The pork chop came with mashed potatoes and seasoned vegetables. However, in looking over the menu I saw they had a variety of sides. I asked if I could change me sides, which they were more than glad to do. I got the carrots and the cornbread. The carrots were delicious and there was a lot of them. The cornbread tasted good but was a little dry. Next time I would stay with the carrots but try something else. As I said the pork chop was very big and I took about half of it home. When I placed my order the waiter asked if I wanted to order a second pork chop, which I passed on. However, next time I may take him up on the offer and have an additional one to take home. All around I give it 5 stars. Also, we asked about desert. There was no desert menu nor a desert tray to help us make a decision. The waiter did rattle off the desert options, however this was kind of busy to follow. A desert menu or try would certainly go a lot further, as far as we are concerned. In summary, the food was outstanding, the service was very good and the atmosphere was pleasant.

I had a late brunch/ lunch with my family here to celebrate my dad's birthday. He turned 67, or as…read moremy daughter says (6-7 IYKYK) so it was a fun one to celebrate with everyone. I wasn't sure what to expect as I tend to be a bit weary of chain restaurants. I have to say though, this one had a really nice vibe and I get why people like it here. First of all, it's a nice restaurant with elevated vibes. It reminded me of places I used to go with my grandparents as a kid. It had great service, comfortable seating, and a nice menu. If anything it just feels like it caters to an older crowd - nothing wrong with that, just not my usual vibe. For brunch that day I had the migas and it was really great. Tons of food, and I easily made two meals out of my lunch. Something to note about the menus though is that they don't have a kids menu. They did share items for kids that they have on hand, but no physical menu to look at so not sure the prices or anything. Our daughter had a hamburger and she loved it so that was a win. One plus was she was able to get a side of fruit instead of fries, which was a win for her since she has declared that she only likes McDonald's french fries these days. Overall this is a nice sit restaurant with table service that has an elevated and sophisticated vibe. Likely geared towards older generations but younger folks will find plenty to enjoy here as well.
