Food - What I got was really good, at least a 4-star meal, possibly edging close to that 5-star. But they had run out of their signature dish, the bloomin' onion. This little appetizer is also IN many of their other dishes. Running now is not a little faux pas. The staff, while polite, was unapologetic for any of this, including the wait of 45 minutes before we discovered that they hadn't put down our party and just left us sitting with no idea WHY we were in their waiting room. We arrived at a good time. Just after shopping, it wasn't too busy. The booth was a bit rundown but not too bothersome. McKenzie was our server. For the most part she was pleasant but on occasion her response was short and curt and a bit snide in some ways. It was 6 of us so you can imagine we needed things if it wasn't provided in a timely fashion or if she forgot. We weren't the only table disappointed or waiting quite often for her attention. Please take a day to clean! This level of dust and dirt in the dining room and bathrooms you are willingly allowing your customers to see in plain view,leads me to believe your kitchen is possibly a health hazard. I will not be back to this location. I have my fingers crossed I don't get sick. I only stayed because I was in a group and I didn't want to cause an issue by leaving the group. Upon arriving we checked in at the hostess desk. After everyone around us had come and gone after we got there and having waited 50 min on what was supposed to be 15-20 min. We found out that they had not actually checked us in when we checked in. The restaurant was very under staffed!! We ordered drinks and attempted to order the Blooming Onion that is there known appetizer and were told they were out, which is whatever but they have worked that in to several menu items as well which limited the food options. Seemed like an unprepared night. Came around 7:30 so fairly later for the dinner rush. We were sat soon, but the host was unsure of where to seat us and had to ask around. Once we were sat, our server Fred was amazing! He was very friendly, attentive, soft-spoken, and knowledgeable about the menu. He brought us our bread and butter, which the bread looks very potato shaped which I found funny. I ordered the mock croc which was sprite with mango and green edible glitter topped with a croc toy, I didn't taste much mango but was still tasty nonetheless. I got the grilled chicken on the Barbie which is just grilled chicken with barbeque sauce on the side. I paired that with a sweet potato, which was nice a soft, and seasonal veggies which happened to be broccoli. The broccoli was plain and steamed so if you want butter or something else, prepare to ask. Also tried the alice springs chicken which is grilled chicken with mushrooms, bacon, cheese, and honey mustard sauce. For my two sides, I got a Caesar salad and seasoned rice which went amazing topped with the honey mustard. Overall the food was good and came out in a timely manner and our server was amazing, it just seemed they were slowing down for the night despite people still coming in. Got on the waitlist for 730p, showed up at 7:20, and were seated at 7:50p. It was BUSY for a Saturday night. I haven't had a blooming onion since 1999, and I'm unsure why, but this is where I wanted to go for my birthday, so this is where we ended up. I started off with a berry lemonade, and made sure to point to the mocktail version. When it came out, it was very undeniably alcoholic, and had to ask for another one. I'm sober, so to be served something with alcohol was highly disappointing, as im going on 8 months sober next week.. ugh. We got our blooming onion, I opted for the sirloin and shrimp. It was fine. Not spectacular, but also not bad. The shrimp was over seasoned with salt. Our waiter, Fred--he did an amazing job and took care of his section well. I tried their new Hooley Dooley shrimp and it was awful! I eat their shrimp all the time and it's always great! This shrimp dish was overcooked and hard! There was a little bit of butter sauce and it didn't help the hard shrimp! I would've given them one star but the potato and the salad were excellent! If this is a new dish you're putting on the menu I'd get rid of it or try to improve it! read more

What an upsetting experience. The restaurant has gone downhill and we will not be back. Service was TERRIBLE. It's always mind blowing that when a server looks at your empty cup multiple times and just walks off. Food came out about 40 minutes later and was severely over cooked and dried out. The first manager that came out was in a terrible mood and didn't say but maybe "cut it open" Fries - for $12 and loaded - it had a pinch of cheese on it and couldn't see the bacon....so if you want to pay $12 for a plate of fries for an appetizer. I don't have any photos; I met my parents there and they had already eaten most of their food. They got mozzarella boomerangs (which were fun and tasty), a steak with fried shrimp and a baked potato, my mom got a margarita and my dad got some beer on tap. Repeatedly poor performance, wretched food, and a worn and dirty restaurant. I have been here three times in the past 8 months because various groups decide to meet here. The service is consistently very slow and not at all thoughtful (plates pile up on the smallish tables). The food is an atrocity--we had a blooming onion that was dark brown (Burned) on one side and tan on the other, oozing oil from everywhere. My "Caesar Salad" was 90% romaine ribs and 10% romaine leaf--really unable to eat this, and their clueless server never took note of this. Who in this kitchen decided this was acceptable for serving? I had ordered a steak medium rare and was served a cold bloody pink (that's called "rare" in other restaurants). It had a crust on one side only--it was never turned over so that it could cook on both sides. This is a "steakhouse" so you would think the varsity would be at work here. Whoever cooked this was an amateur, or someone who just did not care about anything. Where is the manager in this picture? This restaurant is a total failure. Really feel like I've been ripped off--three times. Stay away from this one, corporate must be allowing it to decline so they can sell the building and move on. I was greeted promptly at the door with a smile! Even though I was alone I requested a booth and they eagerly accommodated me. The services received was on point & friendly. My medium rare strip steak was kind of tough. The flavor was good but a little bit too chewy for my liking. Overall my feeling is I will definitely return! read more

I have come to this outback numerous times and I do not believe I have ever had an opportunity to review it. We came on a Sunday afternoon after church. It wasn't too busy. We decided to take advantage of a free bloomin onion deal they had going on set to expire today. We got seated right away. The food and service was good. The bread was fresh and warm and the butter was sweet and delicious. The bloomin onion was good. They have a special for a 3 course meal for $14.99 I got a baked potato soup. It was ok. It was lumpy and not smooth. I recommend Chili's baked potato soup better. But this one wasn't bad. Just needed salt and pepper . I had a house salad and a grilled shrimp served over a baguette. Dessert was a cheesecake that was to go as there was just no more room for any more food. We had a lot of servers as our server was also the bartender. She was very nice and managed to take good care of us along with her staff. David the manager has always been very personable and if you like a good deal their walkabout Wednesday deal for $13.99 is a Great midweek deal. You get a steak or chicken breast with a side a drink could be a soda or a beer. Great deal. The environment and the lighting is always nice. Good music playing. I was impressed with the first-rate service, the nice dining area, the good portions, the tasty food and the good specials at this established restaurant during my dine-in lunch visit. The 6 oz sirloin steak with lobster tail and choice of two sides ($24.99 one week only email offer) was served with a smile just 17 minutes after I ordered at the bar, which gave me time to enjoy the complimentary, warm, fresh, wheat bread with whipped butter. The steak was cooked to order, and the portion sizes were good. The veggies were slightly under-cooked, but otherwise everything was delicious. I found the dining area to be clean, nice, spacious and wood-toned with a mix of tables, booths or bar seating, a mix of background music and several TVs, while the service at the bar from Mason was stellar - cheerful, friendly, professional and attentive - nice! The only reason this location gets two stars is for Eric, the sweet manager who I felt so bad for last night as he faced my wrath... We got a text to say out table was ready, so we got to the front of house and the guy said he was just about to take our name off the list. Like, what? We were there within a minute of receiving our text. But whatever. Then we were seated, got our drinks and bread with no plates, my 14 year old ordered chocolate milk that came out barely half full in a toddler's size polystyrene cup with hardly any chocolate syrup in it. We complained to Eric, who went and got my son a full glass of chocolate milk, just like we'd ordered. Then we waited and waited, finally the server took our order. Waited around 30 minutes for our food, no big deal as it was a Saturday night. But the steak was completely overcooked and very dry. Again, we complained to Eric, who had the kitchen cook another steak and it was then correct. Then we waited another 30 minutes, had no refills, the server seemed to be completely avoiding our table and was seen right across the restaurant in the bar area and in the kitchen area talking and laughing with his buddies. Every other table in our section was seated, ate and left before us, even though we came in before they did. My husband ended up having to call the restaurant to ask someone to please come over to our table to bring us the check. At this point, we didn't even want the dessert that was supposed to come with our meal. We were so livid with having spent the best part of 2 hours with barely any service or care. Eric was amazing and comped our meals, but we weren't there for a "freebie", we wanted a good meal with good service, as we have had in the past. Instead, we got some jokester of a server, unreasonably long wait times and dry steak jerky. We probably won't be back to Outback for a long time, if at all. I can see why Outback is going out of business. Don't eat any of their sea food. My lobster was over cooked and spoiled and when the manager came to talk to me he said everything was good. I'm a sea food person, love it and had lobster, crabs etc MANY times. Never have I smelled or tried a lobster like that before. Unfortunately for my boyfriend he had already ate all the shrimp before I noticed something was wrong. He now sick to his stomach only 30 minutes after eating it. I had not been to Outback since 2017, so it had been quite a while for me. Here are my thoughts after visiting last weekend: Construction?: 2/10 I am not sure what they are doing with the interior of the building, but there were several missing ceiling tiles and wires hanging in various spots. I did not get pictures of this, but it was not a good look. Customer Service: 5/10 Our server was underwhelming, but sweet. Our drinks did not get refilled right away and it was apparent she was overwhelmed with her busy section. The service was just too slow for my liking. Not a dealbreaker, but there were no extra napkins provided for us aside from the ones provided with the silverware. Diversity: 2/10 Outback should take a note or two from their neighbor, Cheddars. There was not a lot of diversity among the staff, nor did I see the manager throughout the visit. Food: 8.5/10 We did not wait long for our food, which was awesome. For an appetizer, we got the tonion which was decent. The bread was warm and fresh, which was nice. I like Longhorn's version a lot better, but this was plenty satisfactory. Both my kiddo and I got the 6 oz sirloin with a salad. They provided plenty of ranch, which was great and my steak was pretty tender. Sadly, my kiddo's steak was tough, dry, and hard to cut. The fries were great too. For two of us to eat, it was around $50 which is standard for steaks. Overall: 7.5/10 Although I prefer Longhorn, this was not a bad visit. For mid-afternoon, the service was pretty underwhelming. The food was decent but the consistency of the steak needs improvement. Went to Outback Steakhouse this evening for a family member's birthday. Well, I can totally understand WHY they are closing some of the restaurants. Years ago, Outback Steakhouse was really very good. NOT any longer. The food has gone downhill, the prices are crazy for what you get and the service isn't great. We got seated soon (we had a reservation for 6 people) BUT we waited forever to get our drink order taken. After we had placed our drink order to get our 5 waters, one coke and one decaf coffee, we had to remind them that we hadn't gotten our drinks yet. TWICE. Then it took awhile for our food orders to be taken. The server was nice but he overplayed the trying to get a tip without giving us good service throughout the meal. Granted it was Mother's Day weekend and it was busy but the appetizer came out right before our salads were delivered. Bloomin' Onion was VERY greasy. My Bloomin' Chicken was dry, overcooked, no butter added on the big baked potato that had a little sour cream/bacon bits and chives - but no butter. I then asked for butter and was given about a teaspoon of butter in a condiment cup. My husband's Alice Springs Chicken was dry and overcooked, he said. The bread was just ok, nothing special. One family member ordered chicken fingers and didn't get any dipping sauce. She had to ask for honey mustard and it took awhile for them to bring it. My stepson had to ask for his decaf coffee twice before he got any (they took it off the bill). They never checked to refill our drinks (and by-the-way, be prepared from what I've read on other reviews that you will be charged $4.00 for a refill on coke, etc. What restaurant charges for REFILLS on soft drinks???!!!) Today my daughter took me out for lunch to this restaurant. The hostess was friendly upon entering. The waitress came over quickly upon sitting down and took our drink order. My daughter had a ribeye and I had their three course meal special. The food came out quickly and it was good. I think they put a little bit too much salad dressing on the salads though and it wasn't that flavorful for ranch dressing. The steaks were cooked perfectly and the 3 course special is a good deal. I was able to get a salad, a small steak, a side and a dessert for $17.99. They seem to group most of the people in the same area and it was quiet enough. The main issue for the rating of three was because the waitress did not come over hardly at all after taking the drink order and someone else brought the food out. When I flagged her down to ask for a box and my dessert to be brought, she just looked at the plates and left them. The next time she came to the table, I had to ask her to take the very obvious full table of plates. I also do not care for restaurants having the handheld device that they bring to your table to pay with while they stand there. I think they would be fine if they left them, but no one should have to have their server stand over them while they select a tip and they watch. read more

This is the first time my husband and I visited Outback and we were celebrating our NICU sons surgery going so perfectly. Upon walking in we were immediately welcomed and seated with minuets. Our waitress was very bubbly and on task, she was quick with our drinks and food, consistently checking on us and refilling drinks, the hostess come by our table later on asking how everything was including the manager seeing how everything was. We had such a wonderful experience and enjoyed every moment and the food was outstanding! Excellent service on arrival, then a change in servers. Terrible service after they left. Additionally, the Chopped Pecan salad, used to be good. This was terrible, nothing chopped maybe 3 pecans that had been chopped up, lettuce in chunks and from the core. NOTHING CHOPPED EXCEPT THE TINY PECAN PIECES. Had not been here for at least 5 years, it will be 5 more! Many years ago this was one of the best salads in town... cannot believe how awful it was yesterday. Friend recommended the Potato Soup, she loves it! It had some sort of greasy film when delivered to the table. I did not eat it all. Our third member of the group arrived and we ask 3 different people to send a server, who arrived at the table 15 minutes later. I had a bone in Grilled New York strip and it was honestly one of the best steaks I've had in a long time. The rice I chose as a side was a complete failure, but still edible. It had so much onions and bell peppers, both are ingredients I like, but just over powered the rice completely. Mom ordered a smaller steak with shrimp and liked it fine. Her steak was not the "grilled" option and seemed unevenly cooked. One side was much darker than the other and just didn't compare to my steak in the slightest. She enjoyed her shrimp a lot and the steak was definitely edible, but you'd hardly know that both steaks came from the same restaurant. Our server got tied up with a table that was being difficult. Actually she and three other employees got tied up with that table. Unfortunately that happened right when she said she was bringing drink refills so it took quite a bit of time to get a refill. It's not her fault that she had a table causing issues, but in those cases, one of the staff that was piling on to that table should have made sure her other tables were being handled. read more
