I had a bone in Grilled New York strip and it was honestly one of the best steaks I've had in a long time. The rice I chose as a side was a complete failure, but still edible. It had so much onions and bell peppers, both are ingredients I like, but just over powered the rice completely. Mom ordered a smaller steak with shrimp and liked it fine. Her steak was not the "grilled" option and seemed unevenly cooked. One side was much darker than the other and just didn't compare to my steak in the slightest. She enjoyed her shrimp a lot and the steak was definitely edible, but you'd hardly know that both steaks came from the same restaurant. Our server got tied up with a table that was being difficult. Actually she and three other employees got tied up with that table. Unfortunately that happened right when she said she was bringing drink refills so it took quite a bit of time to get a refill. Unfortunately, we did not have a good experience at this location. I usually do not eat outback so it was already a hard sale to get me there. We waited over 15 minutes after being seated and no one came over to assist. When we notified the hostess she went to check but never came back to help. We continued waiting until the bartender came over to take out order. He said he recognized that we were waiting and he was so sorry. He was so nice...which is why they get a 3. They offered a free appetizer. Then our baked potatoes took like 15 extra minutes after all of the other food came out (I only ordered the baked potato so I was hungry). This was my very first time visiting Outback Steakhouse and was sort of disappointed. Everything looked very good and promising when I placed my order. The Ribeye steak I ordered looked like it had been beaten with a meat pounder to make it seem as if the piece was larger than it was meant to be. The steak was also very salty, the mashed potatoes also contained a lot of sodium., I felt as if i needed to take a sip of water after each bite. Tonight was quite a horrible experience, we hope to never repeat again! We've been sitting on a $40 gift card for a while... decided to cash in tonight. We walk into a restaurant with loads of people waiting yet a quick scan of the restaurant we immediately note over 50% of the tables are unoccupied. Three staff members are manning the host stand, disorganized and none of them have a clue as to what they are supposed to be doing. A short 10-minute wait gets us seated at a table in the center of the restaurant. 5 minutes, no waiter / waitress. 10 minutes, still no one. 15 minutes later, I finally found a manager and asked to have a server come to our table... finally, we get someone to take our order. Shortly after we get our salad, drinks and bread... no silverware. As no one ever returned to our table, I had to get our silverware from the host stand. No one ever returns to our table. 5 minutes pass, then 10, 15 minutes we are frustrated and finally at 20 minutes, our order arrives. Incorrectly cooked, we gave up the fight and just decided to roll with it. The Cesar Salad with shrimp was tasteless and the lettuce soggy, shrimp was fine. Steak (ordered medium rare) was at least medium-well / well-done. The potato was cold and the M&C was tasteless and inedible. Upon the delivery of our food was the last time we saw the waitress tonight. It was truly so bad, all we could do is stare at each other and laugh at the inedible food. So, we chewed on what we could salvage and stared at the immense amount of people sitting around us with screaming children. We finally boxed a majority of our food to take home and give the scraps to our neighborhood strays. The only redeeming factor for the night was the young male manager who tried his best to come to our rescue. He was the one who found us a waitress. He did check on us during the meal, we didn't have the heart to tell him how horrible the entire experience was... it was obvious to the whole world. We had ordered the most expensive steak on the menu and we were not afraid to spend more than what we had on a gift card... we truly wanted to enjoy a good meal. We were so excited to go to Outback in OPKS this evening, since we no longer have one close to us. The service was ok, but slow on refills and only checked in once. The real downside was the food. My husband is highly allergic to blue cheese and requested none on his wedge salad. Salad arrived covered in blue cheese. The waitress just thought he didn't want blue cheese dressing, so left the blue cheese crumbles. It took 20 minutes to get it corrected. I ordered the Victoria's filet medium, it was burnt on the outside, rare in the middle, and luke warm at best. The food had clearly been sitting for a while. This is probably the worst Outback Steakhouse I've ever been to. The atmosphere is iffy and the seating looks rundown and unlike what a usual Outback looks like. The food our group had wasn't up to the standards we were used to with most Outback restaurants. The salad was awful with wilted lettuce to boot. My steak was prepared okay, but it was tough and seemed to be of a lower quality meat grade. As we were walking in the second door was held for us by the host. He looked up my reservation and was went to check if our table was ready. During this time the manager on duty saw us waiting and came up to ask if we had been helped, the level of attentiveness is definitely 5 star. We were sat within minutes and ordered waters for us and our guests meeting with us soon. The bread came out with whipped butter and it was warm and oh so good! We ordered the Sydney shrooms and they tasted freshly made and the ranch was great. Then the seafood platter with lobster tail, shrimp skewers with a side Caesar salad and Mac n cheese. My husband got the 18 oz sirloin steak with the same sides...didn't get any pictures because we couldn't stop eating. Our server was amazing and very attentive and made sure our drinks stayed filled and that we were enjoying our meals. This was my first time at Outback, but this was definitely a 5 star experience. I would like to start off by saying that I hate writing reviews of places I have yet to eat and get the full experience but this one needs to be noted. I am sitting on a $40 gift card so a few weeks ago we attempted to go here on a Saturday night around 6pm. We walked in and there were more people in the waiting room than seated at tables. We asked what the wait was and we're told it would be an hour 15 to get seated, for a restaurant that was half full. We have a 3 year old so making it through dinner is enough of a challenge let alone waiting an hour 15 to be seated. No big deal as they were busy so we thanked them and said we would have to try somewhere else. Fast forward a week later and we decided we should try again and this time we would put our names on the list. At 2pm I put my name on the list for 5:30pm and figured we would be good. We show up at 5:25pm and I give her my name. She tells me the wait is 45-1 hour. I asked if my name actually made the list and she said yes because the wait would have been 1.5-2 hours without putting my name on the list. Once again the waiting room was full and the restaurant was only half full at best. Not sure if they are short staffed or have Covid policies in place but I know bad management when I see it. There are people literally trying to eat here and spend money and yet business is being turned away and wait times are incredibly wrong for a half full restaurant. Unfortunately this is a best case scenario for Outback because they already got paid for the gift card but I am fully done attempting to even eat here as doing call ahead gets you practically nothing. I would suggest supporting other local businesses that want to make money rather than a business that is willing to make people wait for no reason. read more

Docking points for service, but everything else was great. Starting off, you have to wait in your car for a text telling you your table is ready. This protocol along with spaced out, limited seating is a plus for me in the eyes of safe dining during Covid. However, after receiving our text we walked inside to nothing. We stood there for another 5 minutes before anyone acknowledged us and took us to a table. After arriving at our table, it didn't get any better. There weren't many tables so I don't understand why it took over half an hour for our bread to come to the table. It took so long to get our order in we were starving and ate salad without bread. When we finally got our food it was absolutely delicious! I did have to get up and track down a salt shaker on my own because the restaurant was literally empty of staff. The service here was amazing. Our server was absolutely great! He was super nice guy! The section we were in however was really cold. We were shivering while trying to eat. The food this time was just so/so. The steaks were over seasoned and were over cooked. We did not send them back as we were pretty cold and just wanted to get out. This was a HORRIBLE experience. It started off wonder. Was sat promptly, greeted promptly, and got my beer and waters promptly. Other than that it was a mess of a visit. We get our appetizer which was delicious. Then we had a customer rushing by us with a child. The child was getting sick through out the restaurant and throwing up. She threw up by our table and just the promptness of the clean up was so slow. The smell took away any of the good vibes we had when we sat down. I get sick very easy with smells and was completely repulsed. In a restaurant it's all about smells that make the food taste better. Well in this instance it made the food taste gross. Then after finishing our appetizer we have been sitting for 5 more minutes. Everyone knew the kid got sick but still hasn't been cleaned. With people entering the establishment and slipping on the vomit. No one put a wet sign out at all. Then after ten minutes still vomit on the floor. Our server came back to our table, and he informed us that he forgot to put our order in the computer. He said he was going to talk to the manager and sorry about the wait. He apologized multiple times. The manager came over and apologized and said he'd give us a discount since it was the servers fault. Ten minutes later finally the vomit is cleaned up after people have slipped on it multiple times. No wet floor sign was out at all. ANd then our food came. My order was completely wrong, and my moms steak was over cooked. So as I wait for my food, my other two guests are eating theirs. I finally get my food and the steak is under cooked. I don't care at this time and just eat it cause I'm STARVING!! Obviously we don't want desert cause who knows how long it'll take! We get the bill and our discount was $5.00! Not like the 15% our server said, or not even an entree taken off cause of the lake of management. Or not even something cause of the vomit we've had to smell for 20 minutes! But FIVE DOLLARS!!! The complimentary bread is so good and it's nice and warm when they bring it out. We love blooming onions and were pleased to see that they had a half portion because we never eat it all. The blackberry sangria was so tasty and sweet! We got a skillet dessert to go because we were so full but it looked so yummy and our server was very accommodating to make sure it was all packaged separately so the ice cream wouldn't melt on the warm cookie.
