    Bloomin Onion, Wings, Mozzarella Boomerangs

Since moving here to Ventura, I have eaten here about 4 times already and I have absolutely loved my experience EVERY SINGLE TIME. Is it embarrassing to say that this is one of my favorite restaurants in Ventura County? LOL Sometimes this place can get packed with a long wait time but usually it's moderately busy with good vibes. The service is quick and the servers are always very friendly and attentive. I am a HUGE fan of their Bloomin Onions. It's a really heavy appetizer but if you have some friends to share it with, it's perfect. Great flavor and good crisp. Excellent sauce. Also, they have a lot of deals randomly throughout the year where they give out free Bloomin Onions. I also love their Kookaburra Wings. It's about $18 and comes with a solid portion of wings. The flavor is SURPRISINGLY so good and I am so glad I tried it. I got the medium spice level which wasn't bad; I think I'll try a higher spice level next time. You can also request flats only! I tried their new Mozzarella Boomerangs. I have been raving about Chili's mozzarella sticks and I honestly think these are better. They're not as greasy and heavy. It's breaded with Bloomin Onion spices and is very flavorful! And it comes with a good number (6) of mozzarella sticks for just $10.

We love Outbacks and understand the price of beef has gone sky high everywhere. But at $34.49 for a 12 ounce Boneless Ribeye I don't expect this much fat! I asked the waiter about it and he said that is the standard amount. I am so disappointed as Outbacks is a classy place and was one of our go-to restaurants.

I ordered a takeout drink for 16.50 and it was meant for 2 but it was so small. But also the koalas didn't come with it:(

I came here for an early dinner on a Saturday evening mainly because I was staying at a nearby hotel and didn't feel like driving anywhere. Although the place was actually quite busy at about 5 pm, they were still able to seat me with very minimal wait. After looking over the menu, I ordered the 5 oz sirloin (cooked medium) with grilled shrimp. I got it with broccoli and a Caesar salad. For my drink, I got an iced tea. Service was good, food was not bad, and everything was reasonably priced. However, the steak was a bit tough even for a sirloin. The waiter made sure that I always had a refill of my drink.

We went today for my wife's birthday and let me tell you, the food was as good or better than Larson's or Prime, and they're excellent restaurants. What set Outback apart for us was the service. We had a server, Angelina, who was so attentive and intuitive, that I had to ask for the manage so that I could express our appreciation for her excellent service. I cook daily so I know good food, and this was good food with the added benefit of an excellent experience. No wonder the parking lot was full! Keep up the good work and make sure you use Angelina as a model to train everyone working at your place.

    DoorDash available hours. ‍

Not sure what happened to this location but they rarely allow DoorDash orders. I used to order every Friday as my "you made it through the week" reward. I've tried the last 5 weeks and DoorDash just shows they're closed until Sunday. I've called several times, was once told "hmm that's weird we've been getting DD orders all day" another time was told "sometimes they turn it off when we're busy", and another time "yeah we've been having trouble with it" one time they said "we can do a take out order and you can pick it up". Sometimes I can't drive due to partaking in an edible after a long week so... It's too bad because I've NEVER had an issue with the food--it travels really well! I hope management sees this because I miss my treat.

Another great time at Outback. Food was delicious and our server Jacob was stellar as always. Attentive, quick and always checking in on us. The drinks were wonderful and the mushrooms and wings were amazing. Love this place.

Horrible lighting that is WAY TOO BRIGHT.

The lighting is AWFUL and low class and WAY TOO BRIGHT here. The harsh overhead lights are like stadium lights and they glare horribly in your eyes. It's like you're eating at McDonalds or Target or a gas station. Alhough I love the Caesar salad and prime rib, my husband and I actively dislike the lighting here. Outback Steakhouse needs to INSTALL different LED bulbs or fixtures with MUCH lower wattage or illumination (and warmer golden toned bulbs, not cold blue/white toned bulbs) or install all lighting on DIMMERS!!!! Or just eliminate some of the overhead lighting cans altogether; there are way too many overhead lights. Why don't they care about creating a classy and more comfortable, relaxing ambiance? If foodies are going to splurge on a nice meal out, the experience needs to deliver more than a good plate of food. Here's another unrelated gripe I have: PLEASE BRING BACK THE CINNAMON OBLIVION dessert!

Fortunately, our experience exceeded expectations. First, the service from our waiter, Mathew, was outstanding. He was attentive, professional, and made us feel very welcome throughout the evening. We started with the California sushi roll appetizer, which was excellent. For our entrées, I ordered the steak, and my wife chose the tri-tip baby back ribs. Both dishes were prepared perfectly, and we were extremely satisfied with our meals. Mathew also recommended a red Pinot Noir that paired wonderfully with dinner. His recommendation was spot on. To top off the evening, the restaurant surprised us with a complimentary anniversary dessert, and it was absolutely amazing. The entire experience felt special, and everything came out perfectly. Overall, we had a fantastic anniversary dinner and would gladly return.

We called Larsen's and they had an open reservation at 7:30 PM. We were greeted with friendly faces, a joyful ambience in the restaurant and it was definitely Christmas. We had two dinners of lobster tail and one of the pork chop. This was a preset menu, which was very representative of their excellent food. The pork chop was probably the best pork chop we've ever had in our lives. It was prepared sous vide style and so tender, juicy and seasoned perfectly. The lobster tails were good size, broiled, but a little dry and not much flavor but the butter made them all better. We still enjoyed it and really were happy to be there. We tried 3 of the desserts. The maple bourbon crème brûlée, the butter cake and their house-made Keylime pie. There were three of us eating and we all tried these options. We had two thumbs up on the crème brûlée, one thumb up on the butter cake and no thumbs up on the Keylime pie. The Keylime pie was similar in our mind to a cheesecake (huge piece, super creamy but it's not what we were used to. The crème brûlée was delicious, but we didn't get much maple bourbon flavor. The butter cake tasted and felt like a cake doughnut, delicious but not what we expected. We also enjoyed the maple carrots side dish, it was fantastic! All in all the dinner was successful and again thank you Larsen's for serving us all on Christmas instead of you being home with your families. It is truly appreciated!!!

Mother's Day Was Ruined. And I Need the Owner to Know…read more Let me tell you something. I've worked in five-diamond restaurants. I've worked Applebee's got the pin to prove it. Fried chicken spots. Everything in between. So when I tell you what happened here, know that I'm not some customer who doesn't understand how restaurants work. I know exactly how they work. My best friend lives in Camarillo and honey, he has been raving about this place for months. Every time someone comes to visit, he brings them here. He made our Mother's Day reservations well in advance. Our party of six. This man has easily dropped thousands of dollars in this restaurant. He loves this place. Loved. We arrived early. Server was ok. Seated us at 11, full house, two-hour window we understood the assignment. I ordered the chicken and waffles. Everything came out hot and fast. We're laughing, talking, having the best time and then I look down at my plate. There is a bug. Crawling. Through my eggs. My son grabbed his phone and got the picture. My husband God bless him, shot up to find a manager because that's what you do. That's what any reasonable person does. He found her. Her name is Cheryl. And Cheryl said... "You should've taken it up with the server." Strike one. Then she walks over to our table with an attitude and before I can even hand her my plate, she looks at me and says, "How do you want your eggs?" Like I'm supposed to take the same food back. The food with the bug in it. I was stunned. Not just by the question by the energy. It was off putting. She was annoyed. Like somehow WE were the problem. My kids were horrified. My best friend, the man who loves this restaurant was completely embarrassed. I asked to look at the menu. I wanted something different. Reasonable, right? We waited. The server came back, completely in the dark, said something like "I guess something was wrong with your food?" Sweet kid. Felt terrible when we filled him in. I said I'd just take a burger. He said of course they'd remove the chicken and waffles. THEN he came back. "We're going to have to charge you for the burger." WTH, I thought he had lost his entire mind. He disappeared again, came back, apologized I believe he genuinely felt bad. This has happened before when I have been a server and a manager is more than happy to offer you another dish and take off the other one. But Cheryl? The manager? Never came back. NOT once. Instead, she made her rounds to every single table AROUND us. Laughing. Greeting people. Interacting with guests. For 15 to 20 minutes, we sat there and watched her deliberately avoid our table. And that's when it hit me the thing I didn't want to think. I looked around. Really looked around. And we were the only ones. WELL, I was the only one who was African American woman. Me and my kids. My bestie and my hubby are of European descent. I don't SAY that lightly. Honestly? It makes me sick to even say it. But I couldn't find another explanation. Neither could my friend, who sat straight up in his chair and saw it too up close and personal. He was angry. I had to calm everyone down and say this wasn't worth it. I canceled the burger. We left. It was the worst Mother's Day I have ever had in my life. I have never been treated like this before. It's 2026. People have diverse families. What happened?! To the owner -- I'm hoping you're not her, and I'm hoping you read this. Your friend lost a loyal customer who brought everyone he knew through your doors. You lost our table, our money, and our trust the moment Cheryl decided we didn't matter. The moment she decided that she couldn't be bothered. I travel all around the world speaking, training and I have never been treated to poorly. I called hoping to speak to the OWNER. Cheryl called me back. Are you for real? She HAD a chance to make it right. But clearly she didn't care. She had every opportunity to make it right. She chose not to.

This time we had a party of 10, which I know can be a little challenging for any restaurant. The service was still great. For starters, I ordered the stuffed mushrooms with shrimp and the sweet corn chowder. The stuffed mushrooms were incredible, packed with flavor in every bite. The soup didn't disappoint either, and the bread they serve with melted cheese on top was so good. For my main course, I had the filet mignon with truffle pasta. It was good, but a little dry--I wish it had been more juicy. My boyfriend got the ribeye with lobster, and unfortunately that one wasn't our favorite. Everything tasted a bit overcooked. In Ventura's industrial area, the Cave is a nice, cozy restaurant that is hidden in the Ventura Wine Company shop. We were greeted by live music which made a lively atmosphere. They have the self vending wine machine with a decent variety of wines for all. I'm going to be honest - I did question the pour size. We ended up buying a bottle of wine at dinner instead and I'm pretty sure that was the economical choice plus it gave me peace of mind. I will say - the plating of the food is strange. Giant plates for small portions never really sits well with me. The kitchen's "thinly sliced" waygu steak was also off putting visually. The Jumbo Scallops w/Leek & Truffle Risotto ($46) is a must order. Scallops perfectly pan seared and that risotto I would eat by itself. The Lemon Chardonnay sauce was incredible. The Slow Braised Beef Short Ribs ($39) was okay. The meat fell apart as it should. The red wine sauce was okay but lacked depth. The creamy mashed potatoes were very good and seasoned perfectly. Wasn't mad that I tried it but would not order again. Wagyu Top Sirloin 12 oz. ($48) was very good despite the poor slicing. The creamy mushroom sauce was perfect to add some flavor but not overpower the protein. The Pepperoni Pizza ($18) was decent for my son. My daughter planned to order the Seafood Pasta until she saw all of her favorite things combined: Mac and cheese, bacon and pizza - the Mac and Cheese Pizza ($21) was honestly top notch. It wasn't overly heavy, the depth of flavor was great and it's extremely tasty. The spicy aioli was top notch. Overall, a good experience at the Cave. I recommend giving it a try.
