So this is more of a rant than a review... Wife and I arrived around 6:20pm, and was seated... Our server was quite busy which is understandable its dinner time... approx 6:30 we placed our order with our server we ordered the following: Bread for table 1 raspberry iced tea 1 Mock Croc (non-alcoholic specialty drink) 1 spinach artichoke chip dip 1 ribeye with grilled shrimp, mash, and house salad 1 filet mignon with coconut shrimp, sweet potato and broccoli Approx 6:50 we received the specialty drink... but it was small, we were confused cuz it didnt look like the picture. Apparently server made the mistake and gave us the alcoholic drink. 6:55 server came over and we were able to fix the drink. But my raspberry ice tea never came. 7:05 Someone else brought out our chip&dip and when he placed it down 1/4 of our chips fell off the plate... didnt even attempt to scavenge it... or replace it for us... lost 1/4 of our appetizer. 7:10 server came by to check on us. Finally i got to ask her about my drink and the bread. 7:13 bread and iced tea arrives... wife and I start enjoying it... 7:45 i ask the server about our main course and she comes back and says kitchen was a little backed up. 7:50 our entrees show up(was missing my salad). Steak was over seasoned and extremely salty (like really badly) grilled shrimp was also oversalted. Same with the filet mignon, and the coconut shrimp was bad. Wife said only thing edible was the broccoli. It was basically inedible. At this point i had to get the manager. Manager canceled our entrees and comped the appetizer, then she wanted to comp the drinks as well. I suggested I pay for the drinks. (I know i know) Again its outback and its already at 3 stars so not like my review will make or break this place. But that was my experience. For record. While I really enjoy the food at Outback, the last few times I've been her the service has been just terrible. Today was especially terrible, to the point where I don't think I want to come back. Our server barely checked in on us, and whenever we asked for anything (like utensils) she made a "joke" about not wanting to do her job and how everyone keeps asking her for things. I'd understand, but I don't think asking for utensils or plates is really asking for that much. We had an issue with the machine to pay and waited nearly 30 minutes for someone to help us despite flagging down an additional server since ours didn't check on us once. The restaurant was lovely looking the interior was new and clean. The food was great it came out hot and delicious, but the reason I'm giving 2 stars, is the service was really bad! Our server was working both the bar and the tables, she was also seen lounging about with other employees in front of the kitchen door, she wasn't checking in on us a lot, I wasn't even asked if I wanted more bread or a refill on my drink, we waited an hour for our food to come out while all these other servers who were supposed to be running food were busy talking with employees off the clock, fooling around and not doing their jobs. We will not be back here till there's some retraining and restructuring how you serve people here and maybe be more attentive with tables. Unacceptable! read more

That was okay along with chips. But a trio went a loaded fries and sticks and fried onion was so burnt that they would crumble with no sign of onions just brown. My husband and I went for dinner. There was a 25-30 minute wait, with many tables open in different sections. The bartender was very sweet. She said that bread was coming, we never git it, but okay. I ordered salad with steak. The steak was ice cold. The waitress, Yesica, who was also very sweet and kind, brought it back and replaced it. It was very good. My husband ordered the Ribeye steak with asparagus and loaded potatoes. The steak was very fatty. The steaks at Shoprite come out better at home. It also was salty and on the spicy side. His potatoes were warm, not hot and were in a large scooped shape. They taste awful. Who doesn't love loaded potatoes? They give you 3 pieces of asparagus. My wife ordered a lunch of 6 coconut shrimp with veggies. The shrimp weren't bad but were a little charred - a minute less the fryer would have been better. Haven't been here in quite some time and we didn't feel like going to the diner last night. Typical sat night with about a 20 min wait for a table. Once we sat down our waiter came over after a few mins. Placed our drink orders and ordered our appetizer which my wife wanted the Aussie fries. Came out quickly and was super hot. My only thing has always been the cheese and bacon are on top with all the fries below bare. Ordered our dinners and next came our salads. Was happy they were a lot of croutons than the normal 5. Next came out our dinners. Shrinkflation has hit as the 12oz sirloin is now 11oz. Also the baked potato has shrunk. The steak didn't have the seasoning that is known to their sirloin and sorta tasted reheated. Usually when your dinner comes your wait staff checks but was nowhere to be found. Was looking for another drink and wanted some more bread. Finally about 3/4 of the way through he checked and I did get my drink but no bread. Also asked us about dessert when I was still eating dinner. I did get a scoop of ice cream with the chocolate sauce which I always love. I'm not sure if can blame the staff cause seems they are understaffed and not trained as well. I'll still come back but will probably be awhile again before we do that. read more

The service at this location has been downgrading with every visit. Today my family came for a birthday and we were incredibly disappointed and ashamed for suggesting such a place. The place wasn't very full and yet it took the server 20 minutes to come get our order. She brought us a bottle of wine and left ( forgetting to open it), also served the food without bringing the utensils ( we had to wait for her to come, while steak was getting cold, because she said she was busy and gave attitude). The food itself is good. Unfortunately the steaks came all looking different no matter us all asking for "medium ". I LOVE RIBS so I had to stop by for the new spicy ribs on the Outback menu. My waitress was wasn't the best, but I was anxious to try the ribs so I didn't care. Piled high, drizzled with spicy sauce and tender enough to fall off the bone...oh my it was soooo well worth the trip. The ribs were generously portioned, spicy with a hint of sweet, meaty and super tender. Delicious with every bite. I asked for a side of dipping sauce which was amazing. Our server was very nice and friendly. The place is very dirty. The food was horrible. My steak came out burnt, like hockey puck and I ask for medium rare. There was hair in my mash potatoes. They gave me a whole new plate of food and no discounts or anything on the bill. As we seat there I think ever table around us sent there food back. This Outback has really gone down in food quality, speed of service and just overall service. I continue to give this place the benefit of the doubt and continue to be disappointed. I came in on a Sunday night and it was somewhat empty with no overwhelming amount of guests dining in. We ordered drinks and everything was fine and then we ordered a bloomin onion appetizer and dinner meals. The only problem is the blooming onion never arrived. The waiter kept saying a few more minutes but over 40 minutes has passed. I know this is a restaurant but no bloomin onion takes 40 mins to make and I know they ain't making them from scratch. Then 15 mins later our entrees arrive before our appetizer. The Cobb Salad had wilted lettuce and was super disappointing. The Bloomin chicken sandwich was decent but whoever cut the onions for this sandwich did not do a good job. The waiter never even knew our Bloomin Onion never arrived and we had to ask for it to be taken off the check. This may seem like a small inconvenience but literally I spend my money going out to eat to not have to worry if my food that I order is even going to make it to my table. The waitress came to drop off menus and we waited for 15 minutes before she finally remembered to take our order. I then had to let her know the name, after which she went inside and brought the order. I told her that me and my wife waited from 7.40 pm for this order, but she just said " oh I don't know", we left this God forsaken place by saying that the service has gone down the drain. But this unpleasant experience wasn't over yet. The food was sooo bad, no flavor, no presentation. The lamb over rice from the halal truck looks better and tastier than this. Money spent in the worst possible way. This place use to be great, but the management. Customer service and food have turned toxic and very unpleasant. No wonder the place was half empty even today being a Friday. It does look like this place will go bankrupt soon. The Out Back Steak House in New Jersey that we visited last year was one of the best, and the same establishment in Lake Placid we visited for our anniversary was one of the best meals we ever had. Outback is an awesome place to eat, especially for a chain steakhouse restaurant. I have been going there since they opened and since I used to work close by I would go every two weeks during my lunch break for a steak and some beers (I had a very stressful job as a computer technician working in the malls busiest store, you can guess where if you're local!). After the first few years they took a nosedive (right around a year or so after corporate remodeled the decor and got rid of those cool ass boomerangs and stuff on the walls like the shark teeth biting a Fosters can). The service and management seemed to stop caring, the steaks were getting cooked into oblivion and the apps would sit too long under heat lamps and dry out. I stopped going for a long time and recently decided to give them another shot, especially during these goofy pandemic times where the government gets to decide how businesses run themselves. Anyway the good news is the last 4 times I've gone here in the past 3 months they've gotten back to when I loved them the most. The steaks are cooked perfect when I want them medium or medium rare. I get the Outback Special steak with a side of steakhouse Mac and cheese along with Aussie fries that have melted cheese on top. The food was seasoned well and the appetizers were very tasty. I'm a huge fan of the Kokaburra Wings (Buffalo wings) with a side of ranch sauce. The chicken is always juicy and the seasoning is amazing. I'm not into onions but apparently the breading for the famous Bloomin' Onion is used on this chicken too! Jacky the bartender used to serve me almost every time I went during my lunch breaks and she is awesome. Always has a great attitude and she is quick to serve when the drinks are empty. She was the last waitress to help myself, my fiancé and our little boy when we went the last time (3 days prior to this review). Their bread and butter while you wait is delicious and they have a new breaded chicken entree that is very tasty. I almost got that chicken but that damn Outback special is just too good to pass up on when I'm there. My review is based on the fact that I've had many more positive experiences than negative. The hostess and staff is very friendly and the environment in there is accommodating and welcoming. My fiancé and I came here in early July and she ordered a salmon that was burned on the bottom, but the waitress took it back and brought us back a way better replacement salmon and new sides. Hey shit happens, and I don't hold any grudges for mistakes that were fixed properly. The only thing that bothers me about Outback is their corporate masters remove some pretty awesome items from their menus and it hurts my soul. Tassie Strips we're amazing strips of chicken marinated in hot sauce that were to die for. Then they changed them into Tassie Bites, tasty chicken bites but not as good as their predecessor the strips. Now they have neither! Why?! I'll take the bites over nothing but sheesh bow I get neither, so upsetting. For my fiancé her favorite was the Parmesan Crusted chicken, absolutely delicious entree they killed off for some reason I can't begin to explain. Lastly was my fiancé's other go to entree the bourbon salmon, deleted! Sad! I hope they come to their senses and bring these items back to their next menu (or at least just the Tassie strips they were so killer). Anyway this review was long for sure but I believe since I've eaten here so often throughout the years they deserve a thorough review. Like I said I've had several more positive experiences than negative (maybe 3 negative times out of the 90 or more times I've been here). Absolutely F-ing HORRIBLE. We went there for dinner on Dec 12th and hated almost everything we ordered, except the blooming fried shrimp. The steak in my pasta was sweet like the meat had expired & my husbands sandwich was inedible, it got sent back. They were kind enough to discount the meal for us, and service was fine, so we tipped well. Bill ended up being around $80 after everything. Went home wishing we'd just stayed in, but whatever. I'm looking back on our credit card statement now and see that they charged us $186 for the meal!!! I've been trying to contact someone to fix this for several days now but haven't been able to speak with anyone. We're in hawaii to be with my family cause i'm about to give birth any day now, so the time difference has made it nearly impossible to reach someone during business hours. Trying to dispute with my credit card is no easier as the process takes 50 days, so they keep encouraging me to reach out to the merchant again and again. I'm so behind frustrated by this. I'm literally 38 weeks pregnant, about to pop any day now. This is the last thing I want to be dealing with but we really can't afford the extra charge to our card!
