Absolutely F-ing HORRIBLE. We went there for dinner on Dec 12th and hated almost everything we ordered, except the blooming fried shrimp. The steak in my pasta was sweet like the meat had expired & my husbands sandwich was inedible, it got sent back. They were kind enough to discount the meal for us, and service was fine, so we tipped well. Bill ended up being around $80 after everything. Went home wishing we'd just stayed in, but whatever. I'm looking back on our credit card statement now and see that they charged us $186 for the meal!!! I've been trying to contact someone to fix this for several days now but haven't been able to speak with anyone. We're in hawaii to be with my family cause i'm about to give birth any day now, so the time difference has made it nearly impossible to reach someone during business hours. Trying to dispute with my credit card is no easier as the process takes 50 days, so they keep encouraging me to reach out to the merchant again and again. I'm so behind frustrated by this. I'm literally 38 weeks pregnant, about to pop any day now. This is the last thing I want to be dealing with but we really can't afford the extra charge to our card! This place has been on a steady decline, very disappointing. Orders take forever to get to the table. Ordered appetizers and it showed up 30mins later along with the drinks. Waiter was gone was half the time no show. Sat at the table waiting on drinks and that took forever. Very disappointed in how this place is being ran and to think there's only like 15 tables open. What can anyone expect from Outback ? I'll sum it up for you; first and foremost, the Blooming Onion. It's a pretty good fried onion and the dipping sauce is a unique concoction that is identifiable only to Outback. It's the appetizer everyone comes here for and it's presentation is unmistakable as an Outback Steakhouse creation. The steaks are pretty good. They are not aged, and yes they are obviously frozen but they are also affordable. Where else can you get a Fillet Mignon for $23 ? The burgers are $12, they come with fries and the dynamic duo of fries and a burger are no more expensive than what you would pay at Wendy's or McDonald's for a Bacnonator or a Quarter Pounder. The quality of Outback's burger is okay, unlike the fast food counterparts mentioned above, the Outback burger's single patty is 8 ounces, and can be ordered rare or however you like. Everything else here besides the beef is not that great. The seared Tuna was okay but a bit dry. The coconut shrimp was nothing short of what you would get at a supermarket frozen food isle and the french fries lacked seasoning and were a bit bland. Me and my family arrived 7:38pm, we waited half hour to get our seats and an other one hour to get our food without even an ice water. I asked if we can get a bread or anything. The waitress said bread is out and their kitchen is packed, they are sorry but we have to wait. We ordered medium rare steak but the steak was almost over cooked and when we asked the manager the second one it was RAW terrible place and get new chef's please. BTW, I don't know where were the staff. Maybe they only in charge of taking orders and bring foods out then they disappeared. The service was pretty bad during my visit. The food wait was about an hour and only about 50 minutes the manager comes over to say the food was coming. However, the food took an extra 15 more minutes. The food itself was barely lukewarm. Also the table behind us was offered free dessert when they only waited about 30-40 minutes and we were offered nothing. The managers tone was also different when compared to when she spoke with us. Came here for lunchwith my hubby to celebrate Valentine's and I have to say that I was impressed. It was not crowded at all, they were other couples, o guess we were thinking alike. Did not want to deal with the later crowd. Food was very good. We started with the shrimp scampi dip and it was so delish the chips were warm and so crispy. My husband had the steak, mash potatoes and a side of broccoli. My plate was chicken top I'm bacon and a mushroom sauce and I opted for only vegetables. The chicken once so moist and tasty and tender. I took a few bites of hubby's steak and it was tender and well done like he likes. We skipped dessert because we were so full. Portions were plenty. The dishes needed to be properly cleaned; There were so many marks on the drinking glass and I actually placed napkins on my saucer!! Sauce was dripping out of my sauce cup. The waitor, Jon was not personable at all. After expressing this not so pleasant experience, the Manager, Xavier discounted our bill and assured us that he will have a talk with his staff, including the dish washing staff. I was so impressed with this restaurant and food. This was my first time being at Outback steakhouse and I absolutely love it. This was long overdue and I'm so glad the time was today. It was around 6pm when my boyfriend and I went. He wanted a steak or ribs for his birthday and we decided to come here. It was quiet clean and somewhat empty. The hostess was nice and placed us in a comfortable cozy booth. The waitress brought this incredible brown bread over which I believe was wheat. It was warm fresh and soft. That bread was so good. That was the beginning of the party. Shout out to the waitress Diane for showing such hospitality and kindness. She was nice attentive and accommodating. Please try the Koorabura wings with blue cheese for an appetizer. Those were absolutely delicious. They were seasoned perfectly. I ordered the N.Y. strip steak and my boyfriend had the grilled chicken and ribs We both were picking at each others food and saying how great it was. The steak was juicy and tender and the barbecue sauce for the chicken and ribs were delicious. I really don't have anything negative to say about my experience. Against better judgement I went to your Staten Island location last night and had one of the worst dine out experience I've ever had in my entire life. I know that sounds dramatic but that's how terrible this experience was. It started out with the table smelling like a pet store. I assume it's from using a dirty and smelly mildew rag. Then we had a waiter who clearly hated his job. His lackluster personality did not make this terrible experience any better. When we ordered, your establishment was out of everything we tried ordering from baked potatoes to broccoli. We were understanding and changed our orders. Our food came, appetizers were normal and fine, we thought that was going to foreshadow a great dine in experience, despite our table smelling like a pet store. When the entrées came was when the real shenanigans started. The food was cold, and the quality of food has significantly downgraded; the french fries were different than usual, the chicken fingers were different than usual, and the salad looked like it came from a bag from Shop Rite that had been left out of the refrigerator, wilted and sad. My friend was picking hard chewy pieces out of the chicken fingers. We didn't get ranch with the Aussie fries, we had to request salt and pepper for the table as well as ask for our drinks to be refilled when they were empty. These could've been easy fixes except every time the waiter came back, it took him 8-10 minutes to return. We received our steaks cold, as if they have been sitting around. He forgot to put in two different peoples side orders and again, didn't return for long intervals as if they were waiting for the potatoes to grow from the ground. This doesn't seem to be the waiters problem but actually a management problem of the whole establishment. I can say I would never step foot in this location for the rest of my life, but still pondering if I should return to any Outback locations ever again. This place is better off condemned and has nothing to do with the COVID 19 pandemic. What a mess at this location. We arrived at 2:30 for the lunch menu. Were the only ones waiting for a table, plenty of tables not enough servers we were told. Finally got a booth and were given dinner menus. I asked for the lunch and she said it was after 3 so no. We were there, they just couldn't take our order since no one showed to work! This restaurant was honestly such a joke. It was New Years Day, which i don't mind it being slower than usual but, we waited over an hour just to get an appetiser. My boyfriend and I were seated fairly quickly at 5 o'clock (about a 5 min wait). They gave us menus and 20 minutes later they asked for our drinks. Naturally we knew what we wanted already so we ordered; blooming petals, a MEDIUM prime rib and a chicken and shrimp Alfredo pasta. We waited over an hour so around 6:15 we finally got our appetiser, we finished eating that around 6:20. We then asked the waitress how much longer will our food take and she said that what's taking so long is "because of the shrimp" (shrimp should be cooked less than 10 minutes at the very least). We finally got our food at 6:40 and we started to eat. My boyfriend's steak was dry and hard, on top of that his meal was OLD and was SITTING OUT FOR AN HOUR. Then my Alfredo was an absolute mess the "Alfredo sauce" was just heavy cream (maybe even milk) and butter NO cheese what so ever. The only reason we ate this stale garbage was because we had to catch a movie at 7:15 and we had no choice. The funniest part of the whole night was when I gave my credit card to pay they swiped it and gave the check back but MY CARD WAS NOT IN THE CHECK BOOK. Oh Outback Steakhouse, what happened?! My wife and I would frequent this establishment on a regular basis, until recently. Management and staff in previous visits were very friendly and punctual, food was above par for a chain. The last 2 visits went as follows: 1. After waiting at the hostess station for a few minutes that was uninhabited, we were told the AC wasn't working and they only had 2 servers, we left let down but not upset. 2. Waited at the hostess station while 3 employees scrambled to find a table that was available, as we looked around seeing numerous tables available, the confusion started. An employee begins to escort us past numerous empty/clean tables and we land at a dirty one..... ummm? Now 2 employees are scrambling to find a qualified "table cleaner" all while my pregnant wife is standing and waiting. Came here after shopping at Staten island mall. This establishment's hours are a bit different than the regular outbacks. I was feeling a bit sick plus it was very windy outside, so I started with a cup of herbal tea. They didn't bother to ask me which tea I preferred and gave me the orange pekoe tea with lemon, milk and sugar. I hated this flavor, but oh well.
