Visited the Outback for lunch yesterday. We went early and got seated right away. We had a nice waitress. The food was not so good. My steak was cooked as I eat it but it was tough and hard to cut. The chicken my granddaughter had was too spicy and my husband had the prime rib sandwich and he said it was bland. I don't remember the food being this bad. What a horrific experience dinner was at this location. First there was a wait for a table. Not sure why. Not near full. Then ordered drinks and food. Waiter said he would bring bread the disappeared for quite some time. While we were waiting on the bread to appear another table was seated, got drinks, and bread! We were STILL waiting for the bread. Ok, finally got bread. Meals took forever to arrive. I had ordered a steak very rare. My husband ordered one medium rare. His was much more rare than mine. I sent mine back. When I received the next steak it was cooked perfectly but so over seasoned with pepper it was inedible. I have taught basic cooking classes and felt that I should offer a free class on how to prepare steak. There is a huge difference between well seasoned and just dumping a lot of pepper and spice into something and making it inedible. To top off the evening, service had taken so long we were given the "bum's rush" to get us out. When some of our party requested dessert the server stated, "whoa, let me check if we can". Really??? Dessert was served but, perhaps if service were more efficient and quick we wouldn't have to be rushed out the door. Last time I will ever visit this location. My husband and I were wanting to dine out for a change. I was craving a salad. My husband had a steak that was served to his taste. However, my cobb salad was a bit of a disappointment. If you enjoy an overload of croutons, then you're in luck. I took 10 off the plate, there were at least 10 more left. The salad was missing the egg and the bacon, which is what makes it a COBB. No bread just some old shrimp with some vegetables thrown in a box. My wife also got a filet though and when it came out, it was a head scratching 1/2" thick. Like.... that's some Ponderosa shit right there. We should have left when we opened 4 sets of napkins and found dirty silverware in 3 of the 4. They had been washed, but had crusty parts. We told the waitress and she said that they had been having trouble with their dishwasher. We did not leave. I had a good steak dinner. My wife had ribs that were dried out and missing the asparagas which the waitress said had slid onto the floor. We asked for a replacement for the ribs and we're told they all were like that. So the manager offered her a filet as a replacement which turned out to a good choice. We had dessert which was good. When we got the bill the $13.99 ribs were taken off and we were charged 19.99 for the filet. We asked the waitress about this and she said she thought it was wrong - we should not have been charged for the filet. I asked to see the manager and he then adjusted the bill. We will not go back. We typically order takeout to avoid the crowd when dining in. We have avoided this restaurant for months due to repeated errors in food prep but decided to give it another try. I ordered our dinners online and my husband picked it up. No one came to the car so he went to the door. He counted 13 people jammed inside the takeout entrance perusing menus to place orders. Finally my husband asked if the bag on the counter getting cold was ours. It was so he insisted on paying so he could leave. Once home we found the same issue we always have. A 12 oz steak ordered well done and a 6 oz steak ordered medium were clearly cooked at the same time. The 12 oz was pink inside and the 6 oz was nearly cremated. The baked potatoes were mush inside the foil. I have called about this issues more times than I can count. Apparently Troy needs a Texas Roadhouse. read more

We enjoyed the experience our waitress was great her name was Shelby but the steak was terribly under cooked we asked for mid-rare it was almost not cooked it was black and blue. My mother and I ordered identical plates. The seasoning on the steak was soooo spicy and sooooo salty. I called at 11:30 in the morning for a table at 6 PM when I get there they tell me I have to wait around 40 to 50 minutes to be seated OK I thought that being seated at 6 o'clock and calling early at 11:30 AM mind you I would get my seat immediately but that was not the case. I had to wait around an hour and 30 minutes to be seated and when I was seated I was highly disappointed with the food the food was very... how do you say it? bland and the steak was completely made up of fat. My cousin in law went to the bathroom and it was utterly disgusting I asked for mashed potatoes but I got a baked potato instead the baked potato tasted like garbage one star I hate this place and mind you this is quite well reviewed restaurant for what it is worth this is disgusting you don't go here go to Texas roadhouse they taste better, have better service, and are cheaper!!! Tuesday Oct. 20 was my dad's 98th birthday, so we went to his choice for dinner...Outback steakhouse in Troy Ohio...OMG.... Above and beyond awesome.!! They had a birthday card signed by EVERY staff member . And so many dropped by our table to wish him personally a happy birthday. After an absolutely perfect New York strip dinner, the celebration continued to honor him with the entire staff, managers, servers, hosts and hostess, busser and kitchen staff... The entire working crew came and sang happy birthday William . The entire staff!! Above and beyond , honoring an air force WW2, veteran, a loyal weekly customer, and a ninety eight year life....who still personally cares and aides my special needs sister..daily...one extraordinary father honored by one extraordinary restaurant.. Extra appreciation needs a shout-out to LINDA, the bartender / server, who orchestrated the dinner and celebration.. Will never go to this Outback again. Food quality has seriously declined. Most items ordered in a party of 7 were mediocre at best. Two in the party ordered the sautéed mushrooms which came so loaded in pepper and hot spices they were inedible. Replacement mushrooms were prepared differently but tasted like they had been prepared in a crockpot full of French onion soup and then boiled on high for days. Terrible! We have not eaten out for most of the quarantine, so I decided that for my birthday we would try dinner out since it had been a while. We ordered a feast to share family style. Steak, chicken, fries, vegetables, etc. The food was cold, the steak was rare and was supposed to be medium well, I had to send the woman back in twice because some of our order was missing. I spent $100 on the food we threw in the trash! When I called to complain the manager said, "I am so sorry, can I remake your food, or send you gift cards so you can try us again"? I said the gift cards would be nice even though we had decided we would not eat there again. She said I will put those in the mail on Monday, that was 3 weeks ago! The food was horrible, the service is also horrible. I was trying to help out the workers that were looking for money since the restaurants have been closed down. Very disappointed with our visit tonight. The restaurant wasn't super busy but our server acted like we were an inconvenience. Drinks ran dry we had to ask for bread for the table. 2 of the 4 steaks we ordered weren't cooked properly. A well done steak shouldn't be bloody. Then we had to get a different waitress to send the steak back because we didn't see ours again. Also had to get the manager to give us the check because we couldn't find our waitress. It's an Outback, so the food is what you'd expect. I've come here probably 10 times because I work some weekends in Troy. I always sit at the bar and the bartenders are always seemingly overworked/overwhelmed. Tonight, bartender was frazzled and complained, loudly and in front of customers, about having to make drinks. Let that settle in. I don't know who to blame. Management? Perhaps they're chronically understaffed. This is my favorite steakhouse in Troy OH! The staff is always friendly and very good at what they do. IF there is any problems they take it to heart and make sure you walk out happy and delighted with everything. Their food is absolutely amazing and taste fantastic. The steak is cook to perfection and seasoned just right. My son will even choose outback over McDonalds so you know they are doing something right ! This is a for sure stop to make when in the area! The appetizer came to the table not what we ordered. Had to wait longer for right one. Waiter was nice and so was manager but service was slow and our drinks were left unfilled for quite sometime. Food was average. They very much were apologetic with the bill. Took most of our food off the bill. When I visit (home) again I will try this place again maybe next time will be better!
