I took my son to the bathroom for legit 2 minutes, come back to all of our food being thrown away. made to re-wait for our food. manager wasn't very nice about replacing the food. as a manager you should be concerned why our food was thrown away. at least I didn't have to pay for it, double waiting. Saturday, August 8, 2026 Our party of 4 was seated and our server, Sam was absolutely amazing. One in our party ordered a Dallas Fillet cooked medium with a hot pink center. She has ordered the same dish several times. When our orders were brought out, this particular order was not medium with a hot pink center. It was more medium rare. It was returned for a replacement. Shortly after, the Customer Service Manager Courtney came out with the replacement. Again, the 2nd steak was medium rare. Art this time a third steak was ordered and when asked if the order could be removed from our bill. Courtney said that would be done. Attitude ensued with a comment "I don't cook the steaks". Yes, agreed that is not her job but the lack of accountability was surprising to say the least. Sam, our wonderful server came and apologized and we asked if we could speak with a manager. She returned saying he was busy in the kitchen cooking. With that we paid our bill (without the order in question), gave Sam a generous tip and left. Loved it again. Loved it last time, loving it this time. From my sweetie: it's wonderful. It's tasty. From my oldest: they got the roadkill with a side of baked potato, she split it with her next younger sister. It's good. When you get it with the gravy, you can use that gravy with the baked potato, and it makes the whole thing that much better. I really enjoyed the meet. From my second oldest: I really liked it. I shared a roadkill with my older sister. It's amazing. The baked potato part is my personal favorite, but the mushrooms, very close second. The meat was good. My youngest says "it's very good and I just love it". She likes the steak fries, the buttered corn, and her root beer. I got the prime rib. Our experience was a really good one, especially since the restaurant was very busy. I has the 8 oz filet cooked medium rare. It was perfectly cooked. I had a side salad with Italian dressing which was great. A plain baked potato was my other side. It was all prepared just right. So why the 4 and not a 5. There was too much salt - on the filet and on potato. A 4 is a bit harsh but with that salt, it's not a 5. In spite of the salt, it was very good and we will come back. read more

Last night I was eating dinner with my wife and the younger couple next to me was getting harassed by KRISTINA the manager because his wife ordered a mix drink and he ordered a shot The rude lady told the couple that if they pour that shot into that glass that they would be taking the drink and asking them to leave, a couple said that's fine Then the lady proceeded to tell hostess and the bus boys to watch the couple to make sure they don't put the shot in the mixed drink. I watched a hostess stare at this couples table for over 25 minutes. Just ridiculous. That's not the ambiance we're looking for when you go to Texas roadhouse Let the poor couple eat. They ended up boxing their food up and leaving early. Don't blame them. After talking to my server, I guess this place was caught over serving customers alcohol, completely understand, but there's a right way to do things and there's the wrong way to do things. I did notice the manager, never went to their table and asked if everything was OK and take a little paper from the side of the table, but she did do it to ours. read more

But visited the Lima store last night and its was worst Prime Rib we've ever eaten. It was so tough we could barely cut it with our steak knife. It seems the Steak and shrimp were left in a salt brine too long or something. Very tender, but taste was close to intolerable. Green beans and corn seemed straight out of a can, and they too were saturated with salt. I get why, but you're really way overdoing it. Ambiance was that of a roadhouse that's for sure, very loud music with the same songs repeated several times during our visit. Server was rude when we asked to be reseated, but we ignored it. Awesome fun time for my Mom's birthday! I saw them building this beside I-75 and a great experience to eat here. We took my Mom for her birthday and all the staff gathered around and shouted to the entire restaurant to give my Mom a big "Yee-haw!" Was the friendliest place I've ever eaten. My Mom loved the birthday greeting and dinner. My step-dad said the steak he ordered was excellent and way, way better than the last place we visited when eating at a restaurant, and he knows his steaks! The sound system was also exceptionally good and life-like; it sounded like a live performance at times no doubt due to a very skilled and professional audio installation. I'm an American with traditional Judeo-Christian values and a Republican, although I was born and raised in Canada and lived in Jerusalem, Israel for almost 6 years studying archaeology (and a summer in Guatemala working at an orphanage as a teenager, and two years working as an English teacher in Hungary). I only became an American citizen in December 2019, but "my people" here in the USA are the Conservatives. This place felt like a Conservative Safe Haven where we can enjoy a good meal and have fun as a family. We need this now more than ever before. Whether by intent or just the magnetism of Texas (my cousin is a businessman who lives in Texas with his wife and family), this is the experience recreated here in Troy, OH. I think worth building on this focus, although open to all. My suggestions to make it even better: 1) Own the "traditional family values" experience and introduce a corporate vision fitting with what we know and love: being served by a beautiful waitress with a servant heart and smile! My Mom even commented that she wished we got one of the beautiful waitresses and it was her birthday. This would have recreated the experience of Texas or her upbringing back home in Eastern Europe where her own mom, aunts, and sisters, and her served the delicious meals to the family at their family meals at home. The men can be the cooks, etc., but a traditional female waitress as a company policy is what we wanted but didn't get it this time. No worries, next time. Our server was excellent and we discovered a husband and wife team working as servers at the same restaurant that was a rare family connection. I'm just conveying what my Mom would have liked and it was her birthday and she likes traditional family values and seeing women serving. Of course, we all enjoy that, and seemed to fit with the culture of Texas Roadhouse even more. 2) Own the "traditional family values" Part 2: would be nice to see the female servers in a traditional Texas prairie skirt. I'm no fashion consultant, but there's nothing more beautiful and appealing, especially in our day than being served by a beautiful young woman in a skirt. No intent to offend at all, this just fits the look and feel of what we experienced last night, just taking it to the next level. I know this would have got a 10/10 from my Mom and other conservatives - you just don't see this anywhere anymore in our time and would be nice to bring back to make Texas Roadhouse even more like old-fashioned Texas. The scientific term for what I'm describing is "dimorphism" that is a visible difference between sexes so one can easily differentiate the roles of men and women as in traditional societies. This is what I mean by "traditional family values". Gotta be a brave management team to initiate these suggestions, but I think you'll be richly rewarded even more than you are already. Don't trust their 'get in line' wait time. Recommend adding 30-40 minutes to what they tell you. Even when they call your name they still don't know how long it will be. Also be aware that they call you by first name so you may miss it because who expects to hear their first name for a reservation! Music is way tooooo loud! Then they cranked it up more. Well I didn't think they would mess the food up but they did. Ordered the 6 oz filet, wife did also, medium. Both steaks came out between medium well and well. ive always liked going Texas but my last visit was beyond terrible. Our waitress was terrible. as soon as she came over we placed our drink and app order and that came out fine. We immediately placed our meal order and after seeing all the tables around us get served we asked where our order was. "oh, you're going to hate me but I didn't turn it in but I just did and it will be out soon" I kid you not, 5+tables who came in after us were served and gone and she made her 3rd stop by to say it would be out shortly. We decided to try out the new Troy, OH location on a friday night and had to drive around a couple times just to get a spot, but we did call ahead seating which is definitely the way to go! Our waiter Donald was AWESOME!!!!! We've not had someone that great anywhere in awhile. Our drinks never went empty and we had a basket of rolls as soon as we got down to our last.
